《Rock With Me (Michael Jackson X FemReader)》The Day It Was Official

"Y/N!" Your mother called as you was watching Mork And Mindy on the TV.
"Yes mother?" You yelled back.
"Kathrine called, she said they were having a little get together and they invited us to come. I said we could make it. What do you think?"
"Awesome! I can't wait! What time?"
"Around 5:00, so don't snack on too much OK?"
"Alright I'll try..." You said sounding pitiful.
"I know what you are trying to do Y/N, don't even try."
" Fine mom..."
4:45 pm
"Hey mom, where is my F/C bag? I need something out of it right quick."
"I think it is in the kitchen dear."
"Thanks I'll just be a sec."
"OK, hurry!"
You ran inside and found your bag taking out the painting that you had done for Michael. You looked at it for a moment wondering if he would like it but snapped out of your thoughts when the car horn went off.
You grabbed it and ran to the car where your parents were waiting. On the way to their house you started daydreaming of one day maybe being Michael's girlfriend.
You highly doubted it though, since he tells you about all these beautiful models he meets at parties and all the other celebrity women he meets. Why would he pick you over that?
And if you express the way you feel what if that might just ruin your friendship? You really didn't want to do that. All you hoped is that one day you would build up the guts to tell him...
You and your parents arrived at the house just in time to see Jermaine get pushed in the pool by Janet and La Toya. Man you loved those girls, they really know how to mess with the boys.
You got out of the car laughing and headed to the front door. Kathrine opened the door with a wide smile on her face and welcomed each of you with a warm hug.
You asked her where Michael was and she said he was in his room getting something. You went down the hall and through the house, passing friends and exchanging "hello's" until you reached the stairs.

You went up them and took a left to Mike's room, knocking on the door since it was closed.
You heard a faint, "Ugh, where is it!?" Then a, "Come in."
You walked in and saw him going through all of his drawers in a cabinet. His room had been tore up from him looking for something apparently important.
"Found it!" He looked up at you and his eyes grew wide, he looked like a deer caught in headlights as he threw his hands behind his back, hiding whatever he had just found.
You laughed, "What are you doing?"
"Hey Y/N, uhh I was just looking for something but I found it."
"Can I see whatever it is?"
"NO! I mean not yet, its a surprise."
"Ugh fine, but I wanted to give you this, I hope you like it," You took the painting from behind your back and handed it to him. His eyes grew wide and his mouth dropped, you guessed he liked it.
He looked back up at you and set the painting down, grabbing you into a bear hug and kissing your cheek. Which made my face heat up.
"Thank you, thank you, thank you! That is amazing! You didn't have to do that for me!!"
"I know I didn't have to, but I wanted to."
He looked at your face for a moment, your arms still around his neck, his still around your waist. You both stared in each others eyes for what seemed like forever, only to be about thirty seconds. He started to say something.
"Michael, Y/N! Dinner!" Kathrine yelled. Perfect timing. You thought.
After lots of laughs, food fights, and stuffed stomachs, everyone was gathered in the family room chatting. You were in between Janet and Michael on the couch.
Mike leaned over, "Hey can I talk to you for a moment?"
"Sure," You said.
You went out the back door, onto the deck. You looked back and saw Janet giving me a smile and a thumbs up, making you chuckle silently to yourself.
You sat down in the chairs under the umbrella, enjoying the peaceful chirping of birds and the sound of the fountains as the sun began to set. Romantic.

Michael broke the silence, "Y/N, you look amazing this evening."
You blushed and looked down at your dress.
"Pssh this? Ha whatever, this is casual wear."
He laughed, "You are so funny! If this is casual then I am curious of what you would wear to a date!"
"Hmm lets see, something like really dressy."
"And you think that this isn't dressy? Wow, you are blind." He laughed.
"In what way?" You were laughing just as much as him now.
You had to admit it, when he laughs you couldn't help but to join in.
"Anyways Y/N, what I really wanted to talk about, well not exactly talk more of show, come this way."
He led you down the stairs into the backyard, starting to climb a tree.
You looked at him, "Hello! Do I look like I'm dressed to climb a tree!?"
"I thought you said it was casual wear? Hello, casual is for everything, duh."
You laughed, "Touché."
You took your heels off and started to climb the tree. Once you made it to the top branch where Michael was, he turned you towards him, "OK, now what I wanted to show you in the first place, the only way you could see the whole thing is from a tree. So that is why I made you climb up here."
You looked over the backyard and saw pink and white rose petals scattered spelling Y/N, will you be my girl?
You gasped and covered your mouth trying to force your bottom jaw up. You felt tears forming in your eyes, it was just so beautiful. The sunset colors in the sky, the perfect green grass and flowers, trees with pink and red flowers on them, then to top it all off tons of rose petals from Michael, special just for you. Not the pretty models or celebrity women, you.
You looked over at him starting to cry from joy.
He wiped your tears away, "Will you?"
You nodded your head probably a million times and hugged him tighter than ever. You pulled away smiling, still choked up.
He looked in your eyes, leaned in, and your lips met, fireworks going off like a great finale in your mind. You pulled back, your eyes still shut thinking this is just a dream.
You looked at Michael, now your boyfriend. You couldn't believe this was happening to you, out of all the girls in the world he chose you. You felt so lucky.
He smiled and wrapped his arm around your shoulders. You sat there and watched the sunset, cuddling in the tree top.
After a while he reached in his pocket, bringing out a small box.
He gave it to you, "This is what I was looking for earlier, I want you to have it. It was my mother's. She told me that when I knew that I had found the right one to give it to, to do so. And you're the right one, Peaches."
"Peaches?" You laughed.
"Yea you're my peach, first, I love peaches, second they are warm and fuzzy like you."
"Fuzzy!? Well that's just great.." You pouted, a smile still playing on your lips.
"Well with that head of hair you have!" he chuckled.
"Well I guess you're right Milky Way."
"What?!" he laughed harder.
"My fave candy bar remember?"
"Oh yea. I don't like it."
"You call me Peaches and you won't deal with Milky Way!? Unbelievable."
He went to change the subject, "Well anyways open the box!"
" OK!" You opened it, you couldn't believe what you saw. It was the most beautiful necklace you had ever seen in your life, "Oh my gosh, Michael!"
"Do you like it?"
"Like it? I love it!"
"Wonderful, I had a feeling you would. Here let me help," He took the necklace carefully out of it's case and latched it after he put it around your neck. You turned to face him.
"It suits you well," he gazed at you.
"Thank you... I think we should be getting back, they might start worrying about us."
"Yea you're right, let's go."
You made your way back down and went back in the house. After a little while later you both said your goodbyes and while no one was paying attention you and Michael managed to sneak a quick kiss since you hadn't told anyone that you were together.
You went home and rested after a long and eventful day.
