Mom walks in with groceries and Dad follows. Me and Sam get some bags and come back. "So anything fun happen while I was gone?" Mom aksed.
"Nope, Nah." Me and Samuel said at the same time.
Me and Samuel looked at each other and laughed.
"Hey, actually, I was gonna run into town and grab a couple things for dinner tonight.
"Alright just don't be long.." Mom said as her and dad left.
"Where you gonna go?" I asked.
"Actually, do you want to go swimming?" He asks, and my face lit up with excitement.
"Oh hell yes!" I run upstairs to get my bathing suit on.
"Mom, I'm going to -uh- Shelby's for little bit" I said from outside Mom's door before I left. She let me go and and ran downstairs.
"Wait, but we can't swim on the water by our dock, Shawn might come out there" I stated.
"That's why I've got it all planned out. Just, down worry about it" He said and we climbed into his truck quietly.
We drove to the lake shore on the other side of the neighborhood. As we pulled into the lot, I saw a red blanket laid across the dark sand on the bank. It had a basket and two glasses.
"No way you did that" I said jokingly as we get off his truck. He laughs and I run to it. I sit on the red blanket and open the basket.
"You like it?" Sam asks.
"Are you kidding?! This is sweetest thing ever" I say as I pull him into a kiss. "You're such a cliche," I joke and he laughs.
He pulls out two glasses and a bottle.
"Woah there, in case you forgot, I'm still the same age as yesterday" I say.

"Relax, it's just grape juice" He responds and pours some into a glass.
"I hope we work out." I say looking at the glistening lake.
"I have a feeling that we will, and to that I cheer" He says laughing. We clink our glasses together and laugh.
"Last one in's a rotten egg" I say and I gt up and run into the lake. Samuel catches up to me and wraps his arms around my stomach and picks me up. We get in the water and swim, and laugh, and talk. It felt like I've been with him for a long time.
We get out of the water, get the red blanket and lay it out on the back of Samuel's truck. We later there in each others arms looking at the late noon sky.
We laid in silence. It wasn't awkward silence. It was just that kind of I'm-only-thinking-of-you silence. I never wanted it to end. I wished that things couldn't move been different and people would be more understanding of us. We were star-crossed for each other, but we couldn't express that to our families. It would be too risky.
Instead, we laid there, and enjoyed the little time of what felt like freedom to our selves.

Limits
Have you ever considered, what is a Limit? Well, I have. I’ve seen people who were as strong, as wild animals. Those that were faster than the wind. Some that shined with intellect. Yet, what are the Limits of mankind’s strength, or intelligence? No one seems to know. We develop more and more, seemingly without an end. What if, someone was the smartest in the world? Would that suggest the Limit? What if, someone was the strongest in the world? Would that be the Limit? Would that make that someone, more than a Human? These are just questions, but what if I saw people reach their Limits? What if I know what happens, when you break the Limits? What if I were to tell you about it, would you believe me? (This novel is no longer published on royal road. If you wish to read more than 1st volume, head to webnovel. That is all)

This is a world where the abnormal happens every day, thanks to super powered mutants called "Pathos". Enter: Capital City: An infrastructure with constructed on the Pacific Ocean off the coast of Japan, the basis for a school system of which the goal was to educate the Pathos on controlling their power in a safe place while also protecting those without power from being harmed. If you graduate, you could even rule the City one day! ...Or you could just take advantage of the free student housing and perfect the art of being a shut-in... Join Reito Usodachi, a lax and jaded, but surprisingly strong 15 year old boy who's in way over his head, on his adventures in Capital City... The only problem is, he may falter a bit when he gets a grasp of how weird the people in the City actually are. Even though he's read his fair share of media and the like, no amount of reading Manga or playing games could've prepared him for this. Amateur writer here!
