《my brothers best friend》Moving

"Grab the darn boxes, don't stand there like piece of trash you are." My brother, Shawn, spits at me. I roll my eyes and grab the my box. I walked it up the stairs to my room.
We had to move from the big city, to a stupid small town. I'm not thrilled with my parents for it but my brother isn't taking it well either. He's 20, and still hasn't moved out because of a break up with the "love of his life," He quotes. Now he's drunk all the time, and all he does is yell at me or mom.
I sit on my bed that I finally put together and scroll through my phone, looking at photos of me and my friends in my old town. I was so bored, I didn't know anybody here. There wasn't even any place to hang out. This town is so small, if you want to go on a date, all you have is Wal-Mart. To make matters worse, me and Gary broke up before I moved.
It wasn't all that of a big deal. We just thought we should end it before I moved. Although, now I have absolutely no one to talk to. Now all I have are these memories in my phone to look at, from my friends that live hundreds of miles away.
I hear my mom squeal and a familiar laugh. I walk down and from the hallway, I see a face I haven't seen in s while. It was Samuel. A big smile spreads across my face as I walk into the room with my hands in my back pockets.
"Hey stranger, haven't seen you in a long time" I say shyly. He's smirks and runs his hand through his shiny black hair.
"Yeah. I've been really busy." He says rubbing his hands together. I smile at him and Shawn comes stumbling in the room.

"Oh, Sammy!" Shawn yells with a slur. He tries to walk to Sam but trips over a box, and knocks me over, resulting me to fall on Samuel.
"Are you okay Sarah," He asks me. The words fill my ears, and I hold back a smile. I know this sounds cheesy, but the fact that he cares, sorta, kinda, maybe... Me wait, no Sarah, he's just trying to be friendly with you. I will never have a chance with that. His black curly hair and his greenish-bluish eyes, and the little scruf of a mustache he had just popped at me when he said that.
"Sarah?" He says shaking me from my thoughts.
"W-what" I say coming out of my haze.
"Are you okay?"
"Yeah Yeah i am" I say staring deep into his eyes. God, why out of all the boys, why did this one just have to drop by my new house. I haven't seen him in so long, and all these old feeling are just flooding back. But I can't. He's my brother's best friend.
He looks at me weirdly and then turns around. Shawn helps him up, "Hey buddy, how've you been bro?"
"It's been good" Shawn says laughing.
"Oh nice" Sam says. I could tell he was worried about Shawn. We all are. Though Shawn and I aren't doing okay, I don't want to lose him from alcohol. I already have a half brother thats strung out on drugs and I haven't seen him since I was 11.

A D&D Gamer in Garweeze Wurld
He doesn't know how he got here, and while the trappings are familiar, he doesn't actually know where he is, either. From the perspective of those around him, Duromar is a half-ogre barbarian, an uncivilized brute by any standard you care to use. But from his perspective, he's a character created in a gaming system. From either one, he must live within the rules of that system. This is the story of a gamer who ends up in a game that's just a bit off from what he knows. ---- I wanted to write something a little bit old-school. Most of the LitRPG I've found seems to be based on computer RPG styled stories. Progression through levels is fast, and depending on the game, skills and even attributes can be trained with or without class levels. This wasn't true with the older pen and paper games, and that's the style of leveling I wanted to write.
