《My Arranged Shaadi (Complete)》Chapter- 29 Moving In Again

- Move in with me.
"Am I dreaming or did he really say 'move in with me'???!" I shrieked.
"Call him ! Call him !" Anvita shouted and I nodded. I immediately went to contacts and called on his number.
The second he picked up I started babbling things.
"Hey, I'm really really really sorry!" I said, I had nothing else to say.
"Yeah, I had read that earlier. And I also said that all you had to do to make it up to me is move in with me..." He said in a tired voice and I sighed.
"Only if you want to because... you always do what you want..." He said in an irritated voice and I wouldn't say I was shocked. He had all the right to be pissed after what I had said and done.
"I'll move my stuff to our apartment tomorrow." I said and I could feel him smiling, I couldn't see him but I knew somehow that she was smiling. I remembered that he doesn't like when I refer to the apartment as HIS, therefore I said OUR apartment.
"Alright." He said and hung up the phone. I felt bad, just a bit but I did because he hung up on me.
"Hey don't feel bad, everything'll be fine!" Anvita tapped on my shoulder and said. I just nodded and faked a smile. I didn't know what was going to happen next. I had no idea, not even a bit.
The next day, Paras got discharged from the hospital. His parents, to be honest, his mother insisted him to stay in their house but he denied.
Both of us reached the apartment and we had that awkward silence between us. I was just looking at my luggage.
"Where should I ask my servants to keep my luggage?" I asked awkwardly.
"In the guest bedroom." He replied looking at his phone, scrolling something. Wait what? He wanted to move in with me and then he asks me to put my stuff in the guest bedroom.
"Why not in your... our ... the master's bedroom?" I asked while stuttering as I didn't want to piss him off again he sighed.
"You know what, if I sleep on the same bed with you, I might not be able to control myself." He said and I understood what he meant in a go. He was irresistible too. I wouldn't admit is because I didn't want to sound horny.

"Fine..." Was all I said before ordering the servants to keep my luggage in the guest bedroom.
After a while we had lunch. And boy, the lunch was a really silent affair, so silent that it was a bit creepy.
Paras was about to go to his room when I held his hand and stopped him. He turned around with a confused expression. I suddenly wrapped my arms around his torso. He stood frozen, he didn't even move a bit.
It was... humiliating. I hugged him really tight and he didn't even hug me back. It was awkward. I just stepped back. I looked at his eyes which looked ... emotionless.
"What do I have to do to earn your forgiveness?" I asked. What I had done was equal to a criminal offense but what he was doing wasn't a punishment, it was torture.
"Don't force me to suddenly start acting normally..." He said softly and walked to his room. How much unjust I think his behaviour was, I somehow knew that whatever he was doing was justified.
But still, I didn't have any idea why I was there. I felt so helpless. There was no point of me in staying there but I had no other choice and not that I wanted to stay away from him.
I went to my room and sat in front of the mirror. What I was and what I had become? I ... I used to be a workaholic, I was passionate. And now I was just a vulnerable girl with one hand fractured and a husband who had probably started to hate her.
After a while, I heard some voices from the living room. I went near the door of my room. Yeah yeah I was eavesdropping.
"You have to give Nishtha the position she deserves." Paras said.
"Or else what?" My father said.
"Or else what? Well, I will give up my position, my brother and her brother, both don't have any interest in the company. Then you'll have to give up the hard work of your life time to a person who'll not carry the name of your so called clan." I heard Paras's voice.
"You're trying to threaten us? If you leave the company then where will you go?" My father in law spoke.

"Well, both I and Nishtha are highly educated, well qualified and have worked on high positions. We'll get a job anywhere." Paras said and I was sure that he was smirking.
"Paras beta, why are you worrying about her position. You handle the office, she'll handle the house. You are more deserving for the position beta." My father said. Why am I even referring to him as my father?
"Mr. Oberoi, I'm trying my best to talk to you respectfully which you clearly don't deserve. And you know what Mr. Oberoi, I really love her very much, unlike you. And yeah so called father in law, you also know that Nishtha is a more deserving candidate, she always was and she'll always be." He said. My heart skipped a beat when he said that he loved me.
I heard retreating steps. I opened the door and saw Paras who was closing the main door. He turned around and looked at me. I just couldn't control myself. I went to him and hugged him tightly.
I didn't care if he hugged me back this time or not. I just wrapped my arms around his torso.
"Thank you..." I muttered against his chest. After a while, I felt his arms around me. Suddenly, everything felt so right. I had never felt so warm and loved in my entire life.
I knew that this warmth was short lived. I knew that he was going to be back to that cold mode of his. Because he hadn't forgiven me yet. But I was going to try my best to be a girl who deserved him.
The next day, I and Paras were called to the police station. It was a totally silent ride.
"We totally suspect that Vineet Verma is responsible for Mrs. Singhania's accident. But he's not uttering a single world. And just to tell you, the driver of the truck which hit Mrs. Singhania's car was found dead a few days ago near marine drive." The police inspector said and I gasped.
Just then I felt someone's hand on mine, it was Paras's. I looked at him. He was looking at the inspector but I know that he knew I was looking at him. I just internally smiled.
"Anahita Seth is nowhere to be found. The search is going on though. We've tried all means to make Vineet Verma confess what he has done. But you are going to need extra security till Anahita Sethi is found." The inspector said. I had no idea who this Anahita and that Vineet were.
"That's all I had to say. But we are trying our best to find them. You both may leave now." The inspector said. Both of us thanked him and Paras shook hands with him.We got up and left the police station.
We were walking towards the car when I dared to ask him,"Who are these Anahita and Vineet?"
"Well, in short, Anahita is my greedy and bitchy ex girlfriend and Vineet is the guy with whom she cheated on me." He said without looking at me.
Ohhhh, yeah, I remember reading about that scandal in a newspaper. Oh my God, I didn't know it was this personal. But still, I had one more question in my mind.
"B...ut why do they want to kill me...?" I asked while stuttering. Till then we had reached the car and this time he looked at me.
"They want to get back at me by harming you as you are the person I love the most in the world. And we met that bitch Anahita on our honeymoon and you apparently gave her a piece of your mind." He said looking right in my eyes. I could see the sincerity in his eyes.
Whenever he said that he loved me, my heart skipped a beat.
"You... still love me? After what I did?" I somehow managed to ask.
"When I said I haven't forgiven you, I didn't mean that I had stopped loving you..." He said before getting in the car.
