《My Arranged Shaadi (Complete)》Chapter- 26 Back To The Hospital

I asked the driver to take me to Anvita's home. She was the only person I could trust right now. I didn't want to go to my parents' house for obvious reasons and I was not in the condition to stay in a hotel.
I rang the bell and she opened the door. She looked at me with a confused expression.
"What are you doing here?" She asked me. Wait what? She never asked me this whenever I went to her home.
"Well hello? Aren't you going to let me come inside?" I asked.
"Yeah yeah come. Wait... wh...at? Why have you brought all this luggage?" She asked. Ughhh! She wasn't behaving like my best friend Anvita!
"Well... I moved out!" I said and the colour of her face faded.
"WHAT?" She shrieked.
"Calm down woman!" I said.
"Bhaiya, please take her luggage to the guest room. And you come here and tell me what was the reason to make such a stupid decision!" She asked me with a horrified look.
I settled down on the sofa very casually.
"I understood his master plan! There was no reason left to stay at that prison!" I said proudly.
"What master plan?" She asked and sat on the sofa in front of me.
"Well, somehow I figured out that he manipulated my parents to hand over the company to him, I ran away from the party and met an accident. I think the accident was the part of his plan. He wanted me to die... but I didn't die!" I said. But before she could say anything, I continued with my story.
"Today I tricked my secretary into giving me her phone. I read the news and I went straight to the office to talk to my so called father. He gave me a bullshit reason that I was incompetent. When I went back to Paras's apartment, he was standing there fuming in anger. We had an argument, I threw the wedding ring on his face, told him I would send the divorce papers soon and directly came here. That's it." I said taking a deep breath.

She looked at me with red eyes. She was either on the verge of crying or she was really angry. But why? She suddenly stood up.
"Why the hell did you do that Nishtha??! You destroyed everything!" She shouted at the top of her voice.
"What do you mean?" I asked her with a confused face.
"Nishtha! He is not your enemy! He is the guy you loves you the most in this world! He can never think of doing anything wrong to you!" She said, her voice was breaking.
"Wh...at?" I said. I was too shocked. I couldn't digest whatever she was saying.
"Yes Nishtha, you don't remember the look on his face after that announcement. He was equally shocked. He ran after you but you were too quick. You took his car and went away. He sent his men behind you and just then a truck hit your car. Those men saved you. If it wasn't for him, you wouldn't be here right now talking bullshit about him."She said.
I was shocked. I was speechless. The guilt I was feeling can't be described in words. I screwed everything up.
"That night when you were at the hospital, he didn't eat anything. He didn't even sleep for a second Nishu. He really loves you dude. Let me tell you... one day we were at the club. A guy was trying to harass you. Paras suddenly came there and beat the shit out of him!" She said and my mouth hung open.
"He r...eally did that?" I asked and Anvita nodded.
Just then my phone started ringing. The caller ID said Ahaan, but I didn't know any Ahaan. Still I picked up.
The second I picked up, the person started speaking.
"Bhabhi, I'm your brother in law Ahaan! Paras bhaiya... he ... he..." He said while stuttering.
"He what??" I said. I was kinda ... worried.
"He tried to commit suicide! He made a cut on his wrist. We have admitted him in Central Hospital. Please come fast!" He said and hung up the phone.

I was frozen at my spot. A tear automatically slipped down my eye, I don't know why. Anvita looked at me with a worried face.
"What happened Nishu?" She asked.
"Let's go to the Central Hospital. FAST!" I said, I was hella worried. I was practically responsible for all this shit. If something happened t him, I would blame myself my whole life that I murdered him.
"Will you please tell me what happened?" Anvita narrowed her eyes and asked.
"Paras... he tried to commit suicide..." I somehow managed to say. I was devastated. I didn't know what to do. Anvita looked at me with a shocked face.
"Let's go!" She said and hurried to the parking lot.
I was praying to God all the way to the hospital. The guilt was killing me. I jumped on that conclusion without any fucking reason. I shouldn't have. I shouldn't damn have! My tears weren't stopping.
I was such a shitty person. I accused the man who loved me the most in the world of attempting to murder me. How could I be so insensitive?
"He'll be fine." I heard Anvita's voice. When I looked at her, her lips were pursed in a thin line. Mentally, she was also blaming me for Paras's suicide attempt. And she was right, I was only responsible for it.
We reached the hospital. I found out that he was admitted in the ICU. I rushed to the ICU. His father, mother and brother, all were sitting there. His mom was crying inconsolably. I was watching all of it from a distance.
I wasn't being able to gather the courage to go there and face all of them. I was responsible for this condition of Paras. A doctor then came up to them and told them something.
Hearing that, all of them were shocked, very shocked. Then suddenly Paras's mother became dizzy, she was about to fall but fortunately Ahaan held her. She was immediately taken to a room.
Paras's father went with her but Ahaan had seen me. He started walking towards me but I tried to hide. I really didn't have the guts to face him.
"Bhabhi..." I heard his voice.
"How... how is he?" I couldn't help but ask.
"The doctor said..." He said and looked at the floor. Oh my God, what would have happened?
"What happened Ahaan? Speak up for God's sake!" I begged him to speak further.
"He said that Paras bhaiya is in coma... No one can tell when he will wake up..." He said. His voice was cracking. He was on the verge of crying. I didn't have any words to say, I was speechles.
"How could you be so insensitive bhabhi? You left him... why did you utter those bitter words? Why? He loved you... so much..." He said and I kept looking at the floor, I couldn't look into his eyes. He left after a while.
"Are you alright?" I heard Anvita ask me.
"It doesn't matter... All that matters right now is Paras should be alright..." I said looking in the direction where Ahaan had gone.
"I need to see him." I suddenly said.
"Yeah ... okay..." Anvita said as I dragged her across the corridor.
I was walking when I saw a familiar face from the glass. It was Paras in the ICU. He was lying there, unconscious. He looked so tired. I averted my gaze to somewhere else. I don't know why but, I couldn't see him like that.
