Randhir rested his head on Sanyukta's lap
"Thak gaye?" She said caressing his head
"Bohot..." He took her hand into his and kissed it.
"Mummyji ka phone aaya tha aaj" Sanyukta said
"Muje bhi..." "Jaipur jana hai next month" "Maa chahti hai...tumhari pehli Diwali hai shaadi ke baad to hum Jaipur main hi manaye..." Randhir said
"Shaadi attend karne ke saath Diwali bhi celebrate kar lenge" Sanyukta said
"Toh main tickets book karva du" He asked

"I'll apply for leave..." "Tumhare toh kitna aacha hai Sanyukta" "tumhe toh by default Diwali ka vaccation milega" Randhir said
"Hmmm....hume aapse zyada chutiyaan milengi" She said like small kid.
"Zyada khush mat ho okay..." Randhir taunted her.
She strike out her tongue to teased him.
Randhir got up and pulled her close to him.
"Aab chidhao...." He said
"Aapka phone baaj raha hai...." She said
"Nahi baaj raha...aab chidhao..." He held her nape and pulled her face close to his.
"Randhir...." She looked down and blush.
Randhir touched his forehead with hers.
He was about to seal their lips but as usual there is always a villain in love story.
The bell rang.
"Not again...." Randhir greeted his teeth.
He opened the door.
"Yes...." Randhir said
"Sir this flowers for Sanyukta Shekhawat" A delivery boy handed the bouquet
"Who sent it? Randhir asked
"Don't know Sir" "We just got address and order to deliver this flowers to your wife" The boy said

The boy left from there.
"Who can send this flowers?" Sanyukta mumbled
"I think koi confuse hui hogi" "Forget it...come lets sleep now" He said.
Next day.
Sanyukta reached college.
She found a box of chocolates on her desk in staff room.
She picked it up and searched for sender's name.
There was no nametag attached to the box.
"Kon kar raha hai yeh sab?" Sanyukta thought for a while.
She threw the box into dustbin and resumed her work.
Her lecture was in third year classroom.
Strangely the class was quite and no nuisance was created by Aryan. Sanyukta could cover more topics in session.
She got free time so she went to cafteria toh have a cup of tea.
"Ek chai dena..." she said.
The person gave her tea.
Sanyukta handed him 5 rupee coin.
"Nahi madamji...aapse paise nahi lenge" the person said
"Kyu?" Sanyukta said
"Aapse aab kisi bhi cheez ke paise nahi lenge" "Aaisa kaha gaya hai muje" the guy said
"Kisne kaha aapse...." Sanyukta asked
"Upar se order aaya hai madamji..." the guy said
"Par...kisne kaha aapse..." Sanyukta's pitch was high.
"Nahi pata...kisne kaha...humko toh order maane padenge" the guy said
Sanyukta kept the cup on the desk untouched and left.
She came back to staffroom.
She was confused and scared too.
"Yeh sab kon kar raha hai..." "Kal woh flowers aaj chocolates aur...aab yeh..." She was about to call Randhir but her eyes fell on a red rose placed on her chair.
She picked the rose and threw it on floor.

She called Randhir but he was unavailable.
Sanyukta was scared now.
Someone is stalking her.
Someone is sending her gifts, flowers and chocolates.
She continously tried reaching Randhir but he was busy in meeting and his phone was on silent.
"Ma'am...." came a voice which broke Sanyukta's trance.
Aryan was there.
"Yes...." She said composing herself.
"Ma'am...I have a doubt...can you please help me solving it" Aryan said
"Yes please..." Sanyukta said Aryan took a seat next to Sanyukta.
Sanyukta shifted her chair a bit away from his chair.
"Yes...tell me what doubt you have...?" Sanyukta said.
Aryan placed his book on desk while Sanyukta started explaining his the concept.
Aryan was gawking at her.
Aryan tried to touch her hand but Sanyukta moved her hand away. Aryan still didn't stopped and he grabbed Sanyukta's arm. Sanyukta looked at him and jerked her hand with force.
"Ma'am...I understood the concept..." "Thanks..." Aryan said.
Sanyukta stood up suddenly.
"What happened Ma'am?" Aryan said
"Your doubt is clear now...go back to your class" Sanyukta said

She was tensed.
All the happenings since morning was hammering her head.
She opened her pursue to give money to bus conductor.
A piece of paper fell down from her purse. Sanyukta gave money to conductor and picked the piece of paper. She opened it...
"SANYUKTA...with a heart was written with blood on paper"
The paper fell down from her hand. She got more scared. She reached home and locked the door from inside.

Old Riding Author Lunatic Asylum
Just off the A19, in the dark, incomprehensible lands known as Yorkshire, there lies a town. A town where shadow-silent alleys glint with the secret hunger of knives. Where blood soaks the chipboard window shutters of forsaken terraces stretching off into the night. Where the smog-choked air rattles with the depraved laughter echoing out from clubs that can only generously be described as post-apocalyptic. Well, that’s Middlesbrough. But down the A19 a bit (an impossibly long way down, actually) there lies another town: Raughnen, in the ancient, forgotten Old Riding. It is an equal match in muggery and thuggery alike. It also has magic spells and pointy wizard hats. And now, across the miles and across all sensibilities, a pretty nasty power (a magic one) calls out for its pretty nasty counterpart (a decidedly unmagic one): a proper sound Boro lad. Nothing good can come of it. This is a collection of one novella and four connected short stories: I. A Yorkshire Summoning II. Old Riding Day Trip (the novella) III. Heaven is a Parmo IV. Death on the 66 V. Death on the 257 In total, this comprises 34 chapters totalling around 35,000 words, so try not to worry. It will be over relatively quickly. There are three more short stories with more tenuous links to the core collection: Rush, Paper Round and Scenario 79: Sausage Fingers, all of which can be found in my collection Short Records of Misadventure. Reading these may allow you to make more sense of certain parts of the story, if any sense is to be made at all. NOTE: There are instances of prejudice and discrimination within these stories, including elements of sexism and ageism, which are purely the thoughts and actions of the characters involved and which certainly do not reflect my own views on these matters. ANOTHER NOTE; A WARNING, PERHAPS: This can get a bit weird. In less than 150 pages, we have four viewpoints, first and third person narratives, and a completely disjointed plot with lots of gaps, dead ends and no real resolution. Also ZERO lunatic asylums. It's all a bit odd. If that sort of thing isn't your cup of tea, which it most likely isn't, it might be best to move on now.

‘If you can survive the trials of treading a million nails, would you still go? If you are willing to encounter death at every step, dreading the next, are you still willing to enter? If you leave and experience the trials further still, would you do so? If you find yourself being pursued by everyone and everything, chasing you down to the edge of the cliff, would you jump to certain death or fight back and be labeled as a monster? You can choose whether or not you want to change your life right at this doorstep. If you do say no, then nothing will happen to you. If you say yes, then your life will change. Succeeding will bring you great power. And if you fail, then you will be enslaved within Oblivion for eternity. What is your answer?’ Tus heard the ancient voice that sounded like sandpaper as he stared at the altar with the land and sky frozen in motion. The words repeated themselves over and over again, forcing him to answer without the chance of taking it back. Armed with a borrowed sword and cheap armor that looked like wood, he said aloud without hesitation, “Yes!” The altar hummed, a green light flickered in the surroundings, and Tus ceased to exist.
