You know what? I'm not gonna talk with Sanam! How could he ask aunty to find someone for him right in front of me! Without even hesitating for a brief second! HOW?!
After Sanam left with Kai and Yuki, I was assigned with the job to wake up Suman di & Samar. I climbed up the stairs to their room and knocked twice.
"Bus do minute Mein aarahi hu, Mummy." Di called.
"Theek hai Beti!" I chuckled.
"Warisha!" She shouted opening the door.
My jaws might have touched the ground if possible, and eyes went wide at the sight of Suman Di wearing a sky blue coloured simple saree. "Oh my holy God! Are you for real?" I blinked dramatically.
"Kyu, Kya hua? Main achi nahi lagrahi Kya?" She asked running her hands over her plaits and smoothening her hair.
"Bohout achi lag rahi ho."
Uh-huh.. that wasn't me but her oh so perfect husband, Samar.
"Bohout achi lag rahi ho." He repeated coming towards her, " hai na, Warisha?" He looked at me.
I nodded quickly, " haa.. bohout hi zyada! Di..." I got inside the room holding her hands, "you're looking so pretty in this attire that I wanna cry!"
She chuckled, " cry? Kyu?"
"I don't know." I answered cluelessly.
"Woh sab chhodo.. yeh batao tum yaha Kya Kar rahi ho?" Samar asked.
I facepalmed remembering why I was here, "Di ki sundarta se mantramugdh hokar main to yeh bhool hi gayi ki aapki mata shree ne AAP dono ko neeche bulaaya hai."
"Kya?" The both said together confusedly.
I laughed seeing their expression and I didn't even know myself why I did that. "Mom ne aap dono ko neeche bulaaya hai." I said simply.
"Jao, hum aarahe hai." Samar said smilingly.
I nodded with a wide grin and came back to Aunty, "Woh aarahe hai."
"Aur ek kaam Kar, Sanam aur apne uncle ko bhi call karke bula le, aaj sab saath breakfast karenge."
"Okay, Aunty!" I chirped taking out my phone. First I called Sanam and disconnected the call just after forwarding Aunty's message without even waiting for his response and then called Uncle to join us here.
Aunty smiled spotting Suman Di and Samar descending the stairs.
"Good morning, Mummy." They smiled.
"Morning, beta. Shaadi ke baad ki pehli subah mubaarak ho! Hamesha khush raho, kisi ki Nazar na lage." She gave her blessing to the newly married couple and kissed their temple respectively. It was such a sweet moment that I couldn't stop but smile admiring this family. Sometimes I really miss being with my family. How Ammi used to wake me up or Papa used to late me sleep till late afternoon. Those delicious pancakes and paratha that Bhabhi used to cook specially on my request when I didn't feel like eating the regular food. Fighting with Arisha & Arsh over the last piece of every food. My eyes had moisture recalling the moments and lips were curved into a smile.

Someone calling my name brought me back from my memory lane. It was Indu Aunty, "Warisha?! Kaha khogayi? Aaja table mein, sab aagaye hai."
Wiping the moisture from my eyes with back of my palm I replied walking towards them, "Aagayi, Aunty." I smiled pulling a chair for myself.
Running my eyes around the dining table, I really missed my family. I didn't have appetite to eat and was playing with my food.
I left from there after eating whatever I could. "Chill, Warisha. They are coming for Samar's reception. You're going to meet them in next three days!" I reminded myself.
It was sometime in noon when I got a call from Sanam. I let it ring out for two time but the phone didn't just shut up. I sighed. This man won't stop till I answer the call. Ugh!
"Hello?" I received his call.
"Where are you?"
"Ghar par?"
"Come na! Suman is cooking her first meal! We'll have some fun teasing her!" He said like a kid.
I scoffed, " Nah.. I'm tired, I'll probably just rest."
"Haa, haa. Dulha aur Dulhan dono ke side se hogi to yahi hoga na. Khair, I'll have my time teasing the newly married couple. Tum shaam ko aajana meetha khaane. Okay?" Trust me, even the sweet dish would have failed in front of the voice in which Sanam invited me... sarcastically obviously.
"Sure. Why not." I disconnected the call.
After an hour or so I decided that why because of one person I was skipping Suman Di's cooking? Locking the door behind I left for their apartment.
I rang the bell once I reached there. Samar was the one who answered the door. As soon as I took the first step in, the sweet aroma of kheer filled my nostril.
"What's cooking?" I jogged my way to kitchen, standing beside Suman Di who was stirring her dish.
"Kheer!" She smiled.
"Oh ho, Di." I pushed her shoulder with mine, "kabhi bataya nahi aapko kheer banani bhi aati hai,hmm..." I teased.
"Batayi gi kaise jab aati hi nahi hai?"
This was Sanam's voice but he wasn't to be seen anywhere, only Indu Aunty and Samar were sitting on sofa. I looked at Di for some clue but her whole concentration was in cooking.
"Oh hello! Idhar!" I could see his hand waving at me. Damn! He had his head on Indu Aunty's lap. How sweet is that! I smiled walking towards them.
"Matlab?"
"Matlab yeh that sabkuch mummy ne Kiya hai, Suman is only stirring it." Samar explained looking at Di adorably.
"Koi nahi, seekh jaayegi woh bhi." Aunty commented.
"Aaplog Kya Kar rahe ho?" I sat on the edge of the sofa. There were some photographs kept as well. "Wah! Shaadi ke photos aa bhi Gaye? Ya pehle ke functions ke hai?" I asked excitedly.
Aunty chuckled, "Shaadi ke photos nahi hai, Shaadi ke liye photos hai."

I looked at her confusedly, "Shaadi ke liye..?"
"Haa.." she nodded, "subah baat Hui thi na Tere saamne? Ab Sanam ne jab kehdiya hai k ladki main dhundu..to Maine ladki ki kuch pictures rakhi thi, wahi dikha rahi thi use."
Okay... All my excitement vanished in thin air, and not just excitement but every other emotions of mine vanished after hearing what Aunty said. My heart felt like it sunk deep in my stomach.
"Ohh.." I said quietly looking at Sanam who was having a slideshow of the pictures in his hand.
"Tujhe bhi dekhna hai?"
"Nahi!" I shook my head quickly getting up. " Uh.. aaplog dekhe, main Di ke pass kitchen me jaati hu."
I was feeling so... Ugh! I don't even know what I was feeling! My boyfriend was doing a slideshow of pictures of girls with his mom right in front of me! Without even a pinch of hesitation or guilt! Without even looking at me! Without even caring for my reaction! Why God Why? How am I supposed to react on that? Even Samar was so casual about it. Are they all forgetting that Sanam has a girlfriend and that's me! How are they so normal about it? And first of all, from where did this sudden Sanam ki Shaadi came in topic? Till yesterday it was all about Samar ki Shaadi and a day later everyone is chanting about Sanam's marriage?
"Kya horaha hai?" I smiled at Di.
"Kitne baar ek sawaal puchegi? Pata to hai kheer bana rahi hu." She answered nonchalantly.
"Oh..sorry."
Was her behavior changed towards me or my mind is making this up? I thought.
"Mummy! I think yeh hogaya hai. Aap bhi check karle to main bowl me set hone ke liye nikaal du?" Suman di called out for Aunty.
"Haa, aayi beta, ek second. Uth, Sanam!" She got up from there and came to check the dish. "Hogaya hai. Serve karde."
Everything was appearing normal and abnormal to me at same time. I sat on one of the dining chairs. Running my eyes from Di and Mom cooking to Samar & Sanam seeing pictures.
"Sirf photo hi dekhte rahega ya bataega bhi kuch?" Aunty asked him going back to where she was before.
I looked at Sanam who was all shy and rubbing back of his neck. What was there to be shy about? Am I invisible to him or he has really forgotten about me?...us?
"Ab main Kya bolu, Mummy." Still smiling! Huh!
I had tears building up in my eyes.
"Warisha, aa tu bhi dekhle." Aunty called, "aana!" She held my hand, taking me along with her. I sat on the couch. Sanam looked at me with an ABSOLUTELY NORMAL smile. I ignored him!
Wow! Yahi din baaki reh Gaya tha! Apne boyfriend ke liye ladki dekhna. Great! Wow! Standing applause for my Qismat (destiny).
And and and, sab to to kehte the ke Aunty know about us to phir yeh Kyu horaha hai? Huhuhu!
"Sanam! Dena photo ise!" Aunty slapped Sanam's forearm lightly.
"Ouch Mummy!" He flinched, "de Raha hu na." He pouted giving me the pictures, "Nazar mat laga Dena Meri Mummy ki choice ko." He said with a suppressed smile.
I was just looking at him blankly... Or maybe questioningly. Couldn't he see the moisture in my eyes? Or how his casual behavior like nothing is wrong is hurting me? Didn't he know that I was upset? Wasn't he the same Sanam as last night who was worried cause of a tiny injury?
"Sanam ko hi dekhti rahogi ya photo bhi dekhogi?" Samar broke into my thoughts.
I blinked a few time to let my mind register his words, "huh? Haa..dekh rahi hu." I said averting my eyes on the picture that Sanam gave me.
I narrowed my eyes to focus more. I couldn't really believe what or better whom I saw in the picture.
"Ye..yeh toh..-" I looked up at them speechless.
"Achi hai na? Tumhe pasand nahi Kya?" Sanam questioned.
I shook my head, "Yeh-"
Aunty interrupted me, "Pasand Kyu nahi aayegi? Maine pasand ki hai..achi Kya, bohout achi hai."
Before I could say anything, Uncle came out from attached room, "kaun achi hai bhyi? Hume bhi to dikhao. Show me as well."
Ya Allah! This wasn't something that I wanted right now! Whole Puri Family with me when this topic is going on.
"Kya baat horahi hai bhyi?" He asked taking his position in front of us.
"Sanam ke liye Jo ladki pasand ki hai uski photo dikha rahi thi." Aunty replied to him with a smile.
"Mujhe bhi to dikhao. Dikhao, Warisha." He took the picture from me.
"Ah..uh..uncle-"
"Array Yeh..?" He chuckled.
"Achi hai na, Papa?" Samar stood beside him.
"Kheer tayyar hai!" Di announced keeping the tray on dining table.
"But isko to kahi dekha hai lagta hai.." Uncle said thoughtfully.
What are the doing?! Don't they know that I'm here! Or they are doing this only because I AM HERE! I was sitting there helpless.
"Hai na, Papa?" Sanam stood on other side. "Kaha dekha hai ise?"
I can't take this anymore. I need to leave, "mujhe kuch kaam yaad aagaya!" I said quickly getting up and rushing towards door, without even waiting for anyone's response but only to be stopped by Suman Di in between.
"Kahi yaha to nahi dekha?" She asked everyone with a witty smile standing in front of me, blocking my.
Okay. I'm officially dead.
"Di!" I cried hugging her to hide my face.
A/N- Why did she cry? 😱😱😱
Bolo bolo?
