Sanam's POV
Following my brother's words, I went after Warisha. I don't think she was upset or anything, she looked pretty normal enjoying everything. I stood outside the washroom waiting for her. After couple of minutes I knocked on the door.
"One minute!" She called from inside and within next thirty seconds she opened the door, "Sanam tum?" She questioned.
"Kyu? Kisi aur ko expect Kar rahi thi?"
"Main Tumhe ya aur kisi ko bhi expect nahi Kar rahi thi." She said taking out the handkerchief from my Sherwani and was wiping her hands.
"Hello? Woh sirf show ke liye hai!" I widened my eyes at her action.
"Oh?" She looked up, "show k liye hai? But it worked pretty much like any other hankerchief. See..!" She grinned flashing her now dry palms. "Should I keep it back where it was?" She asked casually.
"Ji nahi!" I snatched the piece of cloth from her and shoved it in my side pocket. "Samar me mujhe yaha Tumhe check karne me liye bheja tha but tumne toh Mera hi mood upset Kar diya." I said plainly.
"Huh? Maine tumhara mood kab upset Kiya?" She gasped.
" Mere sherwani ka look kharab Kar Diya." I complained.
" Kharab? No one is gonna notice ke tumhare front pocket Mein hankerchief hai ya nahi."
" I'm gonna notice, koi aur Kare ya na Kare."
" Ache to lag rahe hai ho." She complemented looking at me with admiring eyes.
" Acha.." I smiled back.
She nodded, "but Tumhe to Fark hi nahi padhta ke Tumhe koi notice Kare ya nahi."
" Tumhe main acha lagta hu to phir mujhe baakiyoon see Kya Fark padhta hai." I winked.
" Cheesy...." She pulled my cheeks while giggling.
I held her hand keeping her close, " acha, tum upset to nahi ho na?"
She narrowed her eyes questioningly, "upset? Woh Kyu?"
"Uhm.. the way Sahil asked you all to do that task."
"Arrayyyy... it's just for fun! Ispe Kya upset hona?" She chuckled, " you know na..main cousins mein sabse choti hu? So whenever the groom's side used to ask the same, to sab mujhe hi aage Kar dete the! And I didn't even know who the groom was; tab mujhe koi problem nahi hoti thi to yaha to it was our very own Samar! Usse mujhe Kya problem hogi?" She smiled, " Tumhe kyu laga main upset hongi?"
" Main nahi.." I let go of her hand, " Samar ko laga."
She chuckled again, " Samar bhi na..aisi koi baat nahi. Ab Chalo.." she held my hand pulling me with her as she walked, "baaki rasme bhi dekhni hai...!!"
"Ab sirf bidaai baaki hai. Sab ko rote hue dekhna hai?" I joked.
She stopped on our way and turned with a...scared face?
" Bidaai?"
"Hmm.."
"Main nahi jaa rahi.." she stood leaning on the wall.
"Kyu?" I stood in front of her with crossed arms.
She was hesitating at first but later answered, "woh Kya hai na...mujhe bidaai k waqt..." She paused and I wiggled my eyebrows asking her to continue. "Mujhe bidaai ke waqt hasi aati hai." She said in one breath.

I chuckled, amused by her answer, " hasi? Kyu?"
"I don't know!" She whined, "bus aati hai!"
"To Tumhe nahi jaana?" I asked and she shook her head in reply. Just then I got a call from Mom asking me to take Meera and Disha back home to prepare for Samar and Suman's welcome.
"Kiska call tha?" She asked.
Keeping my phone back I answered, "Mom ka. Woh Meera aur Disha ke saath Ghar jaane ke liye."
" Ghar Kyu?"
" Unke welcome ke liye." I stated. " Main chalta hu." I turned to leave but she called, " main bhi aaongi!"
"Tum to Dulhan ke side thi na?"
She shrugged, " Dulhan wali saari rasmein hogayi, to ab main Dulhe ke side." She giggled.
I chuckled with her, " tumhare hi maze hai. Chalo."
We left the marriage venue and came back home with the girls and they started preparing for Bride and groom's arrival.
"Warisha?! Guest room Mein na flowers rakhe hai ..jaakar le aa, isme daalne hai." Meera said.
She got up to bring the flowers. After a minute she called out, "room locked hai!"
"Sanam! Jao keys lekar!" Disha said.
"Haa.." I followed the command by the ladies.
Jabse se Samar ki Shaadi start Hui hai, mujhe to sabke orders hi follow karne par rahe hai. Yeh laado, woh kardo, ise pick kardo, use drop Kar do! Aur woh Samar, Baadshah ke tarah maze le! Ab to Mann karta hai ke Kal hi Shaadi Karlu... So that I can enjoy and is Samar ko pata chale kitna kaam karna padhta hai Bhai ki Shaadi Mein! Badla!
"Jaldi Karo!" Warisha snatched the keys from me as soon as I climbed up the stairs.
"Let's get married!"
"Ouch!" She whimpered.
"Aise question Mein ouch kaun bolta hai?" I asked confusedly.
"Stupid! Mujhe kaanta choob Gaya!" She cried shaking her hand in pain.
"What!" I hurried towards her taking her hand, "kaha? Kya karti ho yaar, Warisha?! Dhyaan kaha rehta hai?"
This girl I tell you! Don't know what keeps running in her mind. Always finding one way or other to hurt herself.
"Kuch bhi nahi hai, Sanam, chhodo." She took her hand and sucked the injured finger to stop the bleeding. " See...kuch bhi nahi hai." She showed the injury to me.
" KHOON nikal Raha tha!" I panicked.
" Zara sa." She laughed it off.
" Yaar, tumne kasam khayi hai? Abhi do din to hue nahi Tumhe pool me girte, ab yeh kaaton pe chalne lagi!" I said in frustration.
Like seriously! Every other day she is harming herself. What's wrong with her?!
She laughed, "yeh sab trailer aur teaser hai, full movie abhi aani baaki hai."
How could she joke about this?
I held her forearm making her face me, " Kya bakwas Kar rahi ho? I've told you earlier not to laugh about this! I don't like it!" The words came out in angry tone.
" Sanam, main to bas-"
" Mazaak Kar rahi thi, right?" I completed her sentence. "And haven't I told you before I don't like these jokes."
" Gussa Kyu horahe ho?" She asked quietly.

I didn't answer her. I took the flower basket and made my way to Disha with her following me, "Sanam, sorry na. I won't joke about it again." She stopped me by holding my forearm, she rested her face on my back, "Sowwiee...."
I wanted to smile at her innocence but I didn't. She slowly came in front of me, holding her ears. "I know I shouldn't have laughed like that. Sorry, Sanam. Please maar kardo. Please.."
" It's okay." I said plainly.
" Please...." She was waiting for my genuine forgiveness.
I sighed in defeat, "it's okay, just don't do that again, theek hai?"
She nodded with a smile and quickly stole a peck.
" Huh..yeh Kya tha?" I asked surprised by her action.
She casually walked down the stairs, " Mera shagun that you promised!" She called out and I could sense the smile in her voice. I shook my head, chuckling I got down to handle the flowers to the girls waiting there.
After Samar's grand entrance with his wife, Suman, we did some fun game and Samar being Samar turned it to an awwww moment with his then perfect boyfriend turned now perfect husband behavior. I didn't fail to notice how admiringly Warisha looked at him as he did everything. Trust me, my brother was raising the level damn high for me! I don't know what I'm gonna do if he keeps on raising Warisha's perfect partner bar so high! Main to masoom sa insaan hu yaar. Is Samar ki tarah pyaar ka devta nahi!
When all the rasm-o-rivaaz met its checklist, we finally got to get in our room and have some rest.
Next morning I woke up with Mom knocking on my door.
"Mummy.... Sone do na! Subah hi soya hu!" I cried covering my head with pillow. Seriously! It was like four in morning when I finally dozed off and here my mom was again waking me up.
"Sanam uth jaa! Suman ki pehli rasoi hai aaj."
Hearing this my eyes opened wide of its own. Suman! An evil smile curved in my mind. Shaadi ka pehla din. Hehe. Teasing!
I got up from my bed, "uth Gaya mummy!"
Quickly I got freshen up and walked out from my room, I saw that Warisha was already sitting on kitchen's island with Mom doing something... preparing for something.
Yeh madame itni jaldi kaise uth gayi?
"Good morning, Sanam." She smiled spotting me.
"Morning, Warisha. Aaj itni jaldi yaha? Mummy isko bataya nahi Shaadi khatam ho chuki hai?" I took an apple from the fruit bowl and started munching on it.
"Kaunsa pehli baar aayi hai?" Mom replied casually making me choke on my food. Though her reply was very casual but I don't know why I sensed something fishy.
"Aunty... Aaplog to vegan hai to phir yeh milk?" Warisha asked about the jar of Almond milk that was kept there.
"Hum vegan ke pass har cheez ka substitute hota hai!" I replied sarcastically earning a light smack on my head from Mom. "Mummy Mara Kyu?"
"Sidhe sawaal ka sidha jawaab dete hai... sarcastically nahi." She said politely and then answered Warisha's question, "As we can't consume Dairy that comes from animals, doesn't mean we can't enjoy those dishes made from milk... We have tons of substitute for it- soy milk, almond milk, oats... This one is almond."
" Koi difference nahi hota aunty?" She looked very curious.
" Tumne last time Jo gajar ka halwa khaya tha... that was made with vegan milk. Koi Fark tha?" I asked.
She curved her lips in 'o' shaped, " veganism is not that boring." She said hesitantly because of her diehard chicken lover ego and then came her signature line, "but chicken ka toh koi replacement nahi hai na?"
"Har cheez ka replacement hai..bus khaana banane ki knowledge hoti chahiye. Varna.."
" Shut up, Sanam." She hissed coldly with narrow eyes.
"Tu Kyu cheedh rahi hai, Risha? Tujhe to khana banana aata hai!" Mom said.
"Maggie aur instant pasta khaane me add nahi hota mummy." I chuckled.
She was just glaring at me but my mom was full on Warisha supporter today, "Acha? Woh aloo Puri, birthday pe vegan cake aur woh pakoore kisne banaye the?"
" Occasionally na, Mom!" I added.
" Banana to aata hai na."
" Mom, aap uski side Kyu le rahe ho?!" I complained.
" Because you're taunting me without any reason!" Warisha pouted.
" Tum chup raho!" I snapped.
She countered back, " tabse Maine kuch bola? Tumhi mujhe bole jaa rahe ho about my cooking! I can cook okay!"
" And I cook better than you, okay!"
" Theek hai, Shaadi ke baad tu hi khaana banana."
That's wasn't Warisha. That was my Mom!
Both Warisha and I looked at each other then at Mom, stammering, "S..Sh..Shaadi?"
"Haa, tum dono ko Shaadi nahi karni Kya? Lifetime single rehna hai?" She was way too casual for the ongoing topic, " Warisha, pass me the sugar."
Warisha nodded passing her that, her face was looking so pale. It would have been funny if I didn't know that my expression must be same as her.
"Tujhe koi pasand hai to batade, Sanam... Varna main dhundu Tere liye?" She asked me.
I blinked at her, " ji mummy, aap dhundhe.." came out from my mouth without my knowledge.
Warisha's mouth gaped after hearing my reply.
"Pakka?" Mom sounded so serious that I couldn't dare to take back my words.
" Mummy, hum abhi yeh baat Kyu Kar rahe hai. Aur yeh Samar-Suman kaha hai? Mujhe unhe pareshan karna tha! Isliye itni jaldi utha!" I diverted the topic.
Mom looked up at me with a suppressed smile as if she knew what I was trying to do and I was damn sure she did know!
God! Is she teasing Warisha and me?
I now could see the mischief in my mom's eyes and she was clearly enjoying Warisha's blank reaction on my marriage topic. I shared the Mother-Son telepathic eye contact with my mom and she chuckled quietly knowing I got what she was doing.
Scared that I'll burst out laughing and ruin whatever Mom was doing I excused myself saying that I'm taking Yuki and Kai for walk.
As soon as I stepped out from the house I left out my laughter!
I woke up with plan to tease Samar and Suman but my Mom had her own plans regarding me and undoubtedly she succeeded and was much better than me!
