《Living My Fantasy》71. Not Again

"Why are you doing this?" My voice was pleading.
"I'm not doing anything. " he was still holding my face and I could feel his eyes on me.
"Yes, you are! Sometimes you behave that I don't matter to you and sometimes it's like I'm the only thing that matter."
"Things come and go. But you are not a thing. "
"Then what am I? Who am I to you Sanam? For you? Who am I?" I screamed in whisper.
He removed his hand from me and sensing that he was about to move away I fisted his shirt, "No! I won't let you escape this. Not again. Enough of your games and enough of your lies. Now be a man and tell me the truth. "
"You wanna know the truth? "
"Uh huh. "
"Then listen." He cupped face and by now our eyes adjusted with our dark surrounding so, we were able to see very faded figure. "We cannot be together. It's as simple as that. Do you get that? "
I sighed in defeat, "Whatever."
Okay! I can't argue with him anymore. My love doesn't need to be reciprocated. If that's what he wants then let it be.
"Good! " he cheered getting up. "Now please stop crying like a kid. That you are. " he mocked, "and be good company. "
"I'm not a kid! " I snapped getting up.
"That was a quick comeback from a crybaby like you. " he said sweetly with sarcasm dripping from it as he sat on table.
"Stop it! "
"I haven't even started anything yet. Then what should I stop, huh? " he repeated my line that I said earlier.
"At least come with something original." I said sweetly.
"Do you have crayons? "
"What? " I asked confusedly, "Why on earth you want crayons right now. In this dark room? "
"You have it not?"
"Of course NOT. "
"Useless people. " he mumbled spinning his chair and looking for something.
I scowled at him and then sat on desk near him because that was the only comfortable place to sit. "We are trapped. Aren't we? "
"You are behaving as it's the first time."
"With my ex, yes. " I pointed.
"Whoa! " he stood in front of me and keeping his hand on my either side of the desk and bending close, "you are getting good."
I know my heartbeat was going crazy but now, I was ready to play this 'nautanki' game in his way. "Yeah... " I sighed. "Now that it's clear that we are over then there's no use of watering the dead flower. Both of us deserve better. You got someone better than me. She's beautiful, perfect. " and plastic that I wanted to add but I didn't.

"Hmm.. Yeah she is pretty. "
I held his shoulder, "She is. And if you don't mind then please maintain your friendly distance with me. " I said with a smile while pushing his figure away from me.
He stood straight, "You're saying as if you don't like being close to me. "
Seriously?
"Trust me, I love to! But... When you my boyfriend. I don't like that any other person comes close to me."
"So.. I am 'any other' person now? " he asked.
I gave him a surprised look, "You are not? "
"Whatever. " he rolled his eyes taking his seat back and I smirked. Game is on Sanam Puri!
I knitted my elbows together and then began to look inside my purse. I smiled when I got that. Taking it out and unwrapping the packet, I gave it a shake and it glowed.
"Whoa! What's that? " he asked about the light.
Keeping it on desk I replied, "It's a liquid that glows. "
"I can see that. " he said dryly.
"Good for you." I retorted rolling my eyes.
"Mera matlab tha, why do have that? "
"You know... DIY.. Glow jars. I bought to make one. So... " I shrugged my shoulder.
"You always do that, you know? "
"Do what? " I asked him curiously.
"Looking inside your purse out of.. Blue! Clock tower mein bhi... " he dropped his sentence and I bit my lip being a little.... Nostalgic?
"Clock tower... " I whispered softly.
"Clock tower. " he followed.
Suddenly I remembered something and without even thinking for once I bluntly asked him, "You never told me that why were you crying while we kissed. "
Oops, What the hell. Warisha are you insane.
He just kept looking at me with his oh so deep eyes and skipped his gaze saying, "I.. You said that.. We never.. Meant anything to you. Then why? " I looked up, "why? "
"Don't you get tired of asking so many questions? "
"If only you give me a believable answer, then I might stop."
"You know? I cherish every moment that I have spend with you minus two-three times. Let this moment be added in the list that I cherish and not that I... "
"Regret? "
"Not exactly."
"So you regret kissing me-"
"No I don't. " he said quickly and I chuckled, "Puri baat to sunlo. You regret kissing me forcefully? At the van? "
He looked down and after heaving a sigh he met my eyes again, "It's not about you. It's just... I respect girls and what I did that day... That's not something I'm proud of."
I smiled because this was the Sanam that I love, "I know. I forgive you. "

"I haven't said sorry then.. " he asked.
"But I know you are. I know you, Sanam. Anger and jealousy is a bitch. Maybe you don't love me but I was your girlfriend back then and seeing your girlfriend with some other guy.. I get that. "
"Yeah! You do. I didn't like someone else close to yo-- my girlfriend.. Whoever it is."
I giggled, "by 'whoever' you mean the guy... Or whoever is your girlfriend at the particular time?"
He chuckled, "Girlfriend. "
At that moment my stomach grumbled. I held my stomach hoping that it was loud enough for him. Seeing that he was still chuckling I sighed.
"Hum yaha kitne der se hai? " I asked.
"Umm.. Not sure. Two or three hours. Why? "
"I'm hungry." I cried.
"What? " he scoffed.
"What? " I snapped, "Insaan hoon.. Bhook lagi hai. "
"Bhook mujhe bhi lagi. I was trying to control but you! " he growled.
"Sorry but kya kare? "
"Mera to mujhe pata hai. I dunno about you. " he flashed his goofy smile and walked near shelf. My eyes followed him curiously and he turned with a bottle of.... "Alcohol? "
"Yeah.. " he shrugged, "Found while... checking. "
"Alcohol and bhook ka kya rishta? "
"Might help." He sipped and I made face.
"I don't like the idea of being trapped in here with a drunk man, you see? " I voiced my thought.
"Don't worry. You're safe. " he winked and I shook my head, "Yeh hai kiska? "
"I don't know. This room remains close mostly... So maybe the caretakers? This bottle is sealed.. I mean was. " he laughed.
"Sanam, please don't drink." I pleaded him to stop as he walked towards the chair sipping the liquid.
"You scared? " he asked and I remain quiet. He came close, "Don't you trust me? " he asked looking at me. I met his, "I trust you. You won't harm me. "
He chuckled sitting on chair. "After whatever I did; you still trust me? That's funny. "
"I hope you are good with... Alcohol. " I said with concerned and he chuckled again.
"I know my limits, how much I can digest. "
"Good. So, is it helping with your hungry stomach? " I asked.
"It did. Poor you. Have to stay hungry till the door is opened. " he laughed and I frowned looking at the bottle kept on the corner of table. Should I?
Warisha NO! My subconscious warned me.
But I'm hungry!! I pouted
And that's no food.
But it helped Him!
No!
Please....
No..
Shut up!
"Why are you looking at the bottle like that? " Sanam narrowed his eyes and I gave him an unsure smile. "No! " he said firmly.
"I am hungry! " I cried.
"Yeh khana nahi. " he said holding the bottle firmly.
"But its made from fruit right? " I pointed gripping the bottle.
"Rotten fruit that is alcohol! " je snapped loosening my grip.
"Don't mama around! " I hissed. "I am hungry and I need something to calm my grumbling stomach! " I stomped my feet angrily.
"This is no food and you are not a very wise drinker I know! "
I looked into his eyes innocently and he blinked twice, "what? "
"You remember everything." I whispered softly.
"I told you, yeh raat hamesha yaad rahegi. " he replied.
"Aur kya yaad hai tumhe? " I held his gaze with mine.
Believe it or not but I was controlling him with my eyes. I was playing his famous 'eye card'.
"Aur... "
I winked turning around and bringing the bottle to my lips that I successfully got from him.
"Warisha! " he growled snatching the bottle angrily and I spit whatever I sipped. "It's gross! (While Sanam shouted- What the hell!) How were you drinking this so calmly? "
"What the hell you did? " he snapped looking at himself and I stuck my tongue out seeing what I did. I spoiled his shirt, "Sorry.. I.. I. "
"You wanted to drink this right? " he asked furiously. I widened my eyes shaking my head no. He smirked, "Yes. "
And before I could run he held me and made me take sip from the bottle. My throat burned as the bitter liquid traveled down. I choked when he moved away. "What the... *cough * hell"
"Actually it's good. Now you will pass out soon! " he mocked turning and I sipped the water that he brought with him.
"I won't. " I shook my head because it felt a lil heavy.
"I know you will. You did last time. " he smirked confident with his words and drink the contain from the bottle. "Want more? " he offered.
I scowled hitting the bottle away and he laughed.
"How do you guys even drink that? It's... YUCK! "
He laughed, "Kid."
"I AM NOT! " I shouted!
"You are...!" He sang.
I glared at him and then taking the bottle from him angrily, I took another gulp. "Warisha No! " he shouted.
"See, I am no kid! " I grinned handling him a half empty bottle.
"Shit! That's.... Warisha! "
I giggled, "Sanam. "
Not again.
