I choose you over me

I choose your happiness over mine

I choose hurting myself rather than moving on

I choose to destroy myself knowing you might (originally- would) forget me as soon as I am gone...

"You needed to give me reasons to hate you but I don't need any reason to love you. And even if I do, then there are infinite reason to love you."

"You are on a path to destroy yourself. "

"If that path leads to you then, why not?"

"Pagal Ho Tum."

"Tumhare pyaar mein, haa. "

He kept looking into my eyes for some moments then he shook his head, smiling to himself. "Bilkul pagal ho. " he whispered and then he walked away after taking his car keys from the side the table. I let out the breath that I was holding for so long.

Instead of feeling weak in front of him, I found my strength being close to him. What are you Sanam? Who are you? I know, you're a beautiful disaster and the best thing that happened to me. You made me who I'm now and things made by you are not that easy to destroy. I'll wait for you. I will.

I smiled at the closed door then some new voice came, "What are you looking at, miss? "

I looked at the direction and saw Sahil coming down from stairs. I shook my head with silly smile I replied, "Nothing, was just on a call. " I flashed my phone once and then kept it inside my denim's pocket.

"Up for some movie? " he asked casually. I looked at him confusedly, "Now? " I asked.

"No, a movie date. Tonight. " he smiled.

I looked at him wide eyed, "huh? " isn't he too fast?

He laughed clapping his hands together, "Oh my God! Your face. You're so innocent man! Haha.. " he continued his laugh and I felt really embarrassed and silly for giving him that kind of reaction and thinking that he was actually asking me for a movie date. Silly me!

"What's so funny? " Samar asked coming in view. "Mujhe bhi batao. "

While taking deep breath and gaining his normal composer Sahil said, "Nothing bro. It's just... You're up for a movie? " he asked Samar dropping my topic for which I thanked him mentally.

"Now? " Samar asked equally confused as I was. Sahil turned to face me, we looked at each other for two seconds and then we bursted in fist of laughter together.

Samar came to us and stood near, "What? Did I crack some joke? " he asked, still confused with Sahil and my behavior.

"No-no-no. Woh to Sanam ka kaam hai. " Sahil said which made me laugh even more.

"You're funny dude..." I commented.

"And I have heard that girls are into funny boys. " he winked.

"And you're flirty as well. " I added with cunning smile and nod. I wasn't that wrong about him. He is a little flirt indeed.

"Damn! That smile! " he kept his hand over his chest and I looked at him with my jaw hanging open. "Yeh pakka tumhara bhai hai na Samar? "

"Haa..." Samar laughed.

"Lagta to nahi hai. " I said in mumbling voice on which Sahil protested, "Oh hello-hello."

"Wrong number!" Samar shouted and I chuckled with that.

"Warisha.. " Sahil called my name and I shifted my attention to him, "yeah? "

"Tumhe kya lagta hai ke yeh Samar bohout Shariff tha? " he asked pointing Samar with his eyes.

"Nahi tha? " I asked innocently.

"Huh! Iski girlfriends ki list to iski height se bhi zyada lambi hai. " he informed and I ran my eye over Samar from head to toe saying in amused voice, "height se bhi lambi? "

"Warisha...! " Samar shook his head.

I was enjoying the roasting of Samar when I was pushed by some hard frame and I stumbled a little, holding Sahil to steady myself. He held me by my forearms, "Hey, easy there!"

My back was hurting terribly and his voice chanted, "I'm so sorry! I didn't know you all are standing close to door. "

"Sanam. " Samar said in disapproving voice and the stood beside me, "You're okay, Warisha? "

I nodded standing away from Sahil, wincing at the pain. Shit! My spine! Oh man!

I wanted to scowl at him but I headed to my room silently and while doing so I could hear Samar scolding his younger brother.

As soon as I entered my room I let out a loud scream, "Aaahhhh mummy! My back! "

I am so thankful that this room is soundproof. I wouldn't have spend a minute inside when there was a knock on door. Hiding my pain I opened the door. "Samar.. I'm fine... " I said in tired voice.

"That's great but there's something else that I need to tell you. "

Hearing this even the remaining colour drained from my face. What is it? And I think that Samar noticed that because he quickly added, "Aray... There's nothing to worry. You can relax. " and I sighed with that. "Come in na. " I said opening the door wide.

He laughed as he entered saying, "Ajeeb lag raha hai apne ghar k hi room me ane me. This room looks totally different! " he commented taking a short round. I chuckled, "Yeah, 'cause it's a room, not a jamming room. "

"Yeah... " he nodded.

"So, kya baat thi? " I asked sitting on my bed because I really didn't have the strength to stand as my back was aching badly.

"Oh haa! Woh Ben was trying to call you but he couldn't reach as-"

"My phone is... " I took my phone out and found that it was switched off.. Accidentally. "Off..." I completed and he nodded adding further, "The collab project in which all of are working on.. " I nodded signing him to go on. "So, the next song feathers you and us. "

"Okay?" I said unsurely. Because I really didn't know what to reply. Working with them is not really a problem. I have recorded one song with him already so, I didn't see any problem here.

"Abhi recording ke liye jaana hai. " Samar said in dull way.

Abhi.. Oh God.

"No problem. "

Warisha! Tujhe No bolna tha- No, main abhi nahi jaa sakti. No problem nahi! Ugh!

Sorry... I apologized to my inner voice.

"Samar, wahi rehna h kya?! " came Sanam's voice.

"Chalo.. " I said exiting my room and getting in my shoes.

"Where are you going? " Sahil asked who was sitting on Sanam's piano stool.

"Recording. " I answered with a half smile.

"Then what about movie? " he frowned.

"Ah... "

"What movie?!" Came a snapping voice. I turned to look at speaker Sanam?

"I mean which movie. " he corrected. Kuch jal raha hai lagta hai.

"Chale?" Samar came in, "And Sahil we'll be back by 8..so late night?" He suggested and Sahil and I replied together "Sure. " I ignored Sanam's question walking out from there. I was standing, waiting for elevator and as soon as the elevator's door slide opens, the Puri brothers accompanied me inside.

"I didn't see you guys working on any new song this month. So how come this one is happening so suddenly? " I asked.

"I don't know.. Sanam tu bata. "

I turned to Sanam for my answer, looking no where he began, "As you know, this project is collab of youth icons, that is; Our band, Armaan- Amaal and you. You did your one song with Armaan.. " he paused there and the memory of whatever happened inside my vanity flashed in my mind, making me uncomfortable.

"Okay.. I got it! " I dismissed him quite rudely, unintentionally. Both Samar and Sanam looked at me confusedly. Ugh! This mood swings! It's better to keep my mouth shut! I made a mental note and got out from the lift and headed straight to their car.

Sanam came and got in driving seat. Samar looked at me with a questioning look and I knew what the question was. I shook my head in a no and opening the back door for myself. Samar nodded understandingly with a smile and got in passengers seat.

I connected my headphones to my phone and wearing the headphones I got in my own world. Irony was- to escape from Sanam I was listening to Sanam. I closed my eyes relaxing to his voice and their soothing music.

After an hour or less we reached the studio. Samar and I walked inside while Sanam parked the car. We greeted the people inside and I began rehearsing for the song by the time Sanam came.

"Hello Sanam! " Everyone greeted the hero. I mentally rolled my eyes getting back to what I was doing.

"You're doing it wrong. " he said dryly. I frowned looking at him. "You just came. You haven't even heard the song yet, how do you know that I'm doing it right or not? " I countered.

He raised his eyebrows as if he was asking that I'm talking to him and I said, "Yes! I'm talking to you, THE SANAM PURI! " saying the last three words in same way he said that to me some days ago.

A commoner like you were ignoring me, The Sanam Puri.

I let out a deep breath to stop what I was thinking and remembering that he knows more than me when it comes to music I asked softly, "Where am I going wrong? "

He smirked and with a forced smile I said, "aaj bolna hai? "

We sat together matching our pitch and working on the song. Our concentration was broken when someone entered inside the room, "Yes? " Sanam asked.

"Sir, woh.. Ankita madam ki recording hai.. " he started nervously and Sanam asked with a frown, "Toh? "

"Woh is room k alava aur kisi room me record nahi karti aur urgent bhi hai. "

"Yeh kya baat hui. " Sanam said angrily but I interrupted, "Koi nahi dada. Hum wait kar lenge. Waise bhi hum abhi rehearse kar rahe the, " I stood up, "jo bhi room khali hai aap bol dijye.. Hum waha rehearse kar lenge. " I smiled. Sanam glared at me but he didn't say anything and stood up as well.

"Sab hi room me koi na koi hai.. Haa! Ek khali hai! " he remembered. I nodded asking him to show us that room. I was collecting my belonging and Sanam snapped, "Half an hour me yahi room me rehna hai. Purse yahi rehne do. " I rolled my eyes taking my purse anyway and stomping out from the room angrily.

We were following the person and in half way Sanam said me to carry on and he'll join me. I only hummed in reply and continued my walk.

He opened the door of the room once we reached there. I entered inside and thanked him.

"Aur haa beta, yeh darwaze ka lock thoda bigar gaya hai isliye yeh room abhi use nahi hota par kyuki abhi aur koi jagah nahi thi toh..." He said apologetically and I nodded with an understanding smile," it's okay dada. I know Ankita ma'am ka behavior kaisa hai. "

"Acha beta, Yeh sirf bahar se khulta hai isliye darwaza band mat karna warna band rehjaogi. " he laughed and I nodded with a smile. He left the room keeping the door half open.

I was checking the instruments that were kept in this room while waiting for my duet partner, Sanam. My body fell numb when I heard the thud sound of the door being closed. I turned furiously and saw Sanam coming in with a water bottle in his hand. I looked passed him again and to my fear, HE ACTUALLY DID CLOSE THE DOOR!
