"Call me as soon as you reach there, okay?"
"Sanam ....chill.. I am not a baby!" I reminded him "and I'll be able to call you only if you disconnect this one." I chuckled.
"Don't act smart. Just call me when you reach airport okay?"
"Okaayyyy...." I stretched my word and disconnecting the call.
Finally! I am going to see my brother after so long. I am on my way to airport and Sanam is freaked out because I am traveling alone in this unknown city and according to him 'I attract trouble for myself.' Why all boys in my life are like that? Be it my father, brother or Sanam!
After keeping my first step out from cab, the first thing I did was to call Sanam "I have reached here in one piece. FYI!"
"I am glad. Just don't invite any trouble there."
"Sanam really ?" I sighed walking towards the waiting area.
"Kitna time lagega?"
"I don't know. Flight to land ho chuki hai. 5 minutes may-- oh! people are coming. Sanam I.."
"I'll call you later." he completed my sentence laughingly hearing my excitement and we disconnected the call. My eyes scanning for a familiar face in that crowd.
"Bhai!" I waved after seeing my brother coming out from there in his black faded jeans and blazer teamed up with white shirt. He waved back with a wide grin. I ran towards him and being the clumsy me I bumped with a girl "are you blind?!" she snapped.
"I am sorry." I apologized, my eyes still looking at my brother who was shaking his head.
"Bloody idiot!" she cursed me under her breath. Only if I wasn't in a good mood I would have taught her the lesson but I didn't want to ruin my mood. Picking up the left cellphone I walked to my brother, pulling him in a bone crushing hug. "Ahhhh.....I missed you so much!"
He lifted my small figure from one hand being a six footer that he was. "Missed you too giri hui ladki." he laughed putting me back on my feet. I punched him jokingly "shut up."
He held my hand "Sorry San- san..san...you wanna have Sundae ice cream?" I asked him to cover up my slip of tongue. It has became my habit of saying sorry after hitting Sanam. Phew.
"BOOO!" I flinched hugging my brother and the 'booing' person started to laugh. Shanu Bhai!
"Grow up man!" I smacked him and he pulled me in his embrace "Chup! Khud chutki hai and asking me to grow up?" he said while ruffling my hair. Chutki? I giggle. This SANAM boys never leave my mind.
"Ameera?" he asked for his sister.
"Cooking for you guys. Ghar ka khana!" I exclaimed moving out from airport and helping them to settle their luggage in cab.
"Tu bhi sikhle. Apne husband ko bhukha rakhne ka irada hai?" my brother mocked.
"Woh khud bana lega!" I spat getting inside the cab.
The doors of both side were opened and they slid in together making me shift in middle.humph!
"Seems my sister has broken her 'No boyfriend since birth' status." Bhai joked and Shanu bhai laughed
"Zeus! Who is going to date this Sanam ki deewani? At last she will have to marry me!" he said while closing the door. Oh God! here we go!
"Oh hello! I am not an incest!"
"Oh hello!" he clicked his finger in front of my face "If you're forgetting then let me remind you that marrying your first cousin in Islam is not incest."

"So what?" I rolled my eyes "I call you bhai! Yuck!"
"Shanu...drop it! You know that's not going to happen." Bhai said calmly putting his arm around my shoulder.
"Sadly.. I know." He said dramatically.
God! I can't even imagine that my mom and aunt, as a child decided that they will make their children marry each other. How can they even....urgh!
"Is it true?..." Shanu bhai started and I looked at him, "about You and Sanam?"
"Umm...what?" I asked as if I didn't know what he is talking about.
"Yeah Rishu...there are a lot of news on his fanpage about you two." my brother said.
I really didn't know how to reply this. Sanam and I have never discussed about telling our family about us. What should I say now?
"Ah...what are you guys talking..." bless my luck! Mom called bhai and they forgot about the topic and rest of the rides both of them were resting on my either shoulder.
"Warisha, you know that whole marriage thing is a joke? I don't mean it." he mumbled. I chuckled "Yes, I do."
"Bhaiya!" Ameera threw herself on her brother just like I did earlier with my brother.
"Zee!" she hugged my brother tightly "Ira!"
"SQUAD!" four of us said together in our group hug.
"Kya khushboo hai!" Shanu commented.
"You guys, freshen' up. I am setting the table." Ameera said. Both of them went to get fresh and I helped Ameera with table.
"Warisha...why aren't you picking Sanam's call? He had called me twice! Go and call him..main yaha dekhlungi.." she whispered .
"Acha?...my phone..." I was looking for it.
"Just take mine." she handed me hers and I went in my room dialing his number. He answered "Ameera..whe--"
"Its me." I said sheepishly.
"Warisha! Where were you?" he asked angrily "why aren't you answering my calls?"
"Sanam... I haven't got any call."
"I have called you half a dozen time! Well...be at Taj by seven okay? or shall I pick you up?" he asked, level of anger decreasing with each word.
"I..I'll come. You don't have to bother. Everyone is waiting for me. See you then?"
"See you."
Four of us had our lunch while talking about all the year of separation and how they are planning to throw a party for their welcome and Ameera and mine carrier success.
"I have to meet band in evening." I informed them about my program.
"Why? Ain't your collaboration already done?" Bhai asked casually.
"Bhaijaan ..they are like my friends now and I have some upcoming Bollywood songs with them." I said in a duh tone.
"Your sister is a celebrity now Zeus." Shanu smirked taking a bite. I rolled my eyes at him.
"Jaldi kar. We have to submit the report before five." Bhai reminded Shanu and hurriedly they completed their lunch and after a while left for their office head branch in here.
While cleaning the mess and dishes, Ameera and I discussed about how we are going to survive with our brothers these days.
"Tera to thik hai! Mera soch!" I shook my head keeping the clean dish aside.
"Yeah...okay; tu jaa ready hoja. Waise bhi all chores are done."
I nodded in reply and wiping my hand with clean towel I went to get ready for evening.
Keeping it simple I wore a black skinny jeans with blue and black checked shirt. Applying my normal amount of makeup and wearing my music studs which I bought to pair up with the pendant, gifted by Sanam. Pulling up a high pony, I was happy on seeing my reflection.

Slipping in my black heels I bade Ameera bye and went for destination. As soon I stepped out from society, I saw Sanam waiting for me leaning on his car. I smiled broadly running to him. He opened his arms welcoming me and I got my home. "I missed you so much. Three days!" I hugged him tightly.
"I missed you, too." he smiled.
"I thought we were meeting at hotel?" I asked him pulling apart and getting in his car. He walk up to driving seat, sliding in "Surprise?" he chuckled .
"Pleasantly!" I grinned. "How was your concert?" he was Delhi these three days.
"Rocking as always!" he replied with a grin and his phone started to ring "your phone." I said when he didn't make any move to answer the call.
He looked at me with a frown "Not mine. Must be yours." he pointed towards my clutch.
Digging through my clutch "This isn't my ringtone! Its not your voice!" I reminded him.
"I know."
"Oh shit!" I cursed "That's my number."
Sanam laughed loudly "A swap again? Let me answer it." he took the cell from me "History repeat nahi honi chahiye."
I took it back "Its a girl this time." I winked while answering the call.
"You stupid! Tumhare wajah se mujhe kitni problem hui!" The girl spat.
"Oh hello miss? It was you who first left! That means all this thing happened because of you." I countered and Sanam was snickering beside me.
"Look whatever ! I am staying at Taj. I want my phone ASAP!"
"See you in an hour." I said in monotone disconnecting the call not waiting for her reply.
"Screwed my whole mood. She could have talked politely as well. What was the need to use foul language ?"
"People Warisha. Calm down and what did you mean by an hour?"
"She's staying at Taj."
"Good for her."
When we reached our destination, we went to meet Samar and rest who were waiting for us. I hugged Suman and Remy di. Boys were telling us about there those three days and I got her call again saying that she's near reception.
I stood up from the table "I'll be back in five minutes."
"Where are you going?" Remy asked while Sanam said "I'm coming with you."
"She swapped her phone with someone again." Sanam enlightened and everyone were laughing at me.
"Be careful Sanam. Hold her close huh?" Samar warned his brother with a big grin.
Sanam held my hand showing it to everyone "I am."
With cheeks like tomato and a big smile on my face I asked "Hogaya? Now we can go?"
"Airport+phone swap=meeting my love." I said my thought aloud while walking towards reception.
"So finally you are calling me your love?" Sanam giggled and I pushed him playfully.
"Excuse me?" I patted the shoulder of a girl who was standing leaning on wall near reception. She turned facing me. She had a beautiful face, well sculpted nose, big beautiful hazel eyes, plump lips, dark eyebrows and creamy skin. She is damn beautiful.
And her hazel eyes met mine for a second and then travelled to the person standing beside and she was looking at him with pure admiration as expected but with a hint of some unsaid feeling. I shrugged the thought off my mind. I was smiling all along and I tilted my head to look at Sanam who was looking at the girl standing in front of us.
An ill feeling arose inside me when I saw Sanam looking at her. The smile on my lips were fading but I tried to maintain my composer. Taking a deep breath I cleared my throat to break whatever was happening. The girl then looked back at me and Sanam gave me a smile which didn't reach his eye.
"Sanam...ah Warisha... I am Natasha Singh." She held her hand to me for a handshake. I took it with a smile "Hi Natasha."
"Sorry for the way I talked with you. Actually I missed all my meetings today as the schedule was in my phone. So..." she smiled apologetically and I understood her situation. Anyone would be angry if their work is interrupted.
"It's okay." I smiled handling her phone.
"Nice ringtone." She praised while returning me mine but her eyes were looking at Sanam and he was looking anywhere but here. "Thanks." I muttered taking my phone back.
"Long time Sanam?" she asked him and my eyes travelled from Natasha to Sanam.
"Ah..." Sanam looked at her hurriedly "huh...a bit long...yeah." he replied uncomfortably. I looked at them confusedly. Do they know each other? It seems so...but why is Sanam so uncomfortable around her.
"You guys know each other?" I asked casually.
"Umm..yeah! We were--"
"Friends... She was our friend when we were new in here." Sanam said cutting her words.
Was? Were? Ain't they friends anymore? And who reacts like this after meeting their long lost friend.
"Let's go Warisha? Everyone must be waiting." Sanam said putting his arm around me and Natasha's eyes were glued there then she looked back at us "Samar is here too?" She asked with a smile.
"Yeah...all of them are here." I replied.
"See you, Natasha." Sanam said and I looked at him confusedly.
"See you." She said with half smile and Sanam and I left from there.
"Anything wrong Sanam?" I asked him with concern. "You are looking low."
We came back, "who was she yaar? Phone mera swap hona chahiye tha." Keshav joked.
"Actually you all know her. She is some old friend of yours." I said taking a sip of coffee.
"Acha?...Who?" Samar asked.
"Um..Natasha Singh." and every eyes landed on Sanam which I found a little odd.
"Why you all are giving Sanam.. that look? Is there something that I don't know?" I asked unsurely.
"What are you asking, Warisha. Kaha na that she was our friend." Sanam said in frustrated tone.
"Why are you shouting. Main to bas yuhi--"
"Bas yuhi kya Warisha?"
"Sanam. Calm down." Samar said in firm tone giving him a glass of water. He accepted it, gulping half of it in one breath. "You should take some rest. You must tired of all traveling." I said small voice.
He looked at me for a few moment and then smiled at me, "maybe you're right. I'm just tired. I didn't mean to snap at you."
Samar-Suman and Venky with Remy di went to spend sometime with each other.
"I am feeling like haddi in kabab." Keshav said sheepishly.
I giggled "Shut up K.D!"
I looked at Sanam who was awfully quite whole evening and skipped to talk with us as much as he could. I wonder what's wrong with him. Since our encounter with Natasha he has been like this only.
"Chalo...chalte hai?" Sanam said after a while when Keshav and I were talking about Ameera and Harshita.
"I have rode my bike here. So I can't join you guys." He replied showing his bike key.
Three of us walked out from the hotel. I hugged Keshav before he left and then got inside car with Sanam, who continued his silent mode.
"Sing something please."
I looked at Sanam with a full confused expression "What?"
"Kuch gaao. I want to listen your voice." he said. His eyes fixed on road. "Risha?" he said the nickname which he use when we are alone. I smiled at him giving a nod.
"Zehnaseeb..zehnaseeb....Tujhe chahu betahasha Zehnaseeb"
He held my hand, interlacing our fingers "mere kareeb, mere habib.. tujhe chahu betahasha zehnaseeb."
"more." he said with tired eyes. "tere sang bite har lamhe pe humko naaz hai. Tere sang jo na bite uspe aitraaz hai..iskadar hum dono ka milna ek raaz hai."
"Hua ameer, dil gareeb..." I pointed at him with my eyes "tujhe chahu betahasha zehnaseeb."
"Why do you love me so much?" he asked out of no where.
"What kind of question is this Sanam?"
"Would you have fallen for me if I wasn't Sanam Puri from the band SANAM but an ordinary boy?"
"What's wrong with you Sanam? Why are you talking like this suddenly?" I asked him in frustration. Hurt by his dry behavior with me whole evening.
"Just answer it, Warisha. You would have loved me or no? "
"No."
