I don't know how to react. I am sitting like a statue beside Sanam. Yes Sanam!
"Are..are you guys real? Or I am having some sort of dream?" I asked looking nowhere.
Everyone inside the car started to laugh. "We are real. See?" Keshav said, stretching his hand, so that I could touch.
I turned and hesitated twice. As if he was a glass material and I was really scared that my touch might break it.
"Come on." He said again and the rest were just laughing silently at my expression.
I touched him and removed my hand in fraction of second and all of them started to laugh hard.
"Why... you all are laughing? " I dared to speak.
"Your...expression.. movements a..are funny. " Keshav replied in between his laughter.
"Stop it Keshu!" Venky scolded but he was laughing as well.
"Guys, guys, guys, stop laughing, okay? 'Cause if Sanam starts laughing, then, chances of our reaching hotel will be O.1." Samar said while controlling his own situation.
Realization hit me and I shifted my gaze on Sanam.Oh.My.God! I am really sitting beside him! I am sitting with my favorite band! How can I get so lucky?
"Gu..." I was going to start but then I thought that calling them guys will not be appropriate. I am not their friend for heaven's sake!
"Wanna say something? " Sanam asked me while taking a right turn.
"I..dunno" I said like an idiot. Sanam and Keshav both laughed at me again. How can they laugh?
Not able to control the being a mater of joke anymore, an angry tone slipped out of my mouth, "Look." That made them silent. Now this was more humiliating. Quickly I apologized for my tone and in one breath I said.
"I am sorry! I am sorry! I didn't want to sound so angry but, understand my situation. One doesn't get so lucky to sit with her favorite band everyday? I just don't know how to react!" And after completing I took deep breath.

Keshav covered his mouth with his hand to stop his laughter. Samar, Venky and Sanam, started to look here and there. I was damn sure that they were trying hard not to laugh. I was wondering that how funny my expressions are looking right now.
"Guys! Stop making her uncomfortable. " Sanam said that made the rest coming back to normal.
"Thank You." I smiled briefly at him and then I looked out of the window.
"So, did you enjoy the concert?" Samar asked.
"Yeah I did! And you guys were so awesome! " I said while turning, "and Samar, you know? I always wanted to see you jump with your guitar since forever! I was so happy and Sanam!" I turned to Sanam and seeing his face I fell quiet.
"Yes?" He asked and I started sweating.
"A.C is working Sanam?" Keshav asked.
Sanam answered, "Yeah, of course."
"Then why are you sweating?" Keshav asked me.
"Because Samar is here?" Sanam joked. Hearing his silly liner I started laughing and rest join me as well.
"Finally you are laughing. " Venky said, I nodded while smiling.
"Thanks for the compliment." Samar said and Sanam replied "My pleasure." Putting one of his hand over his chest. I wasn't able to help myself but chuckle at that moment.
"Sanam, that thanks was for Wa..." he stopped in mid sentence .
"Warisha. " I whispered my name.
"Warisha." Samar repeated, "Nice name."
"Thanks." I said shyly while tucking a strand of my hair behind my ears.
"What does it mean? Your name?" Venky asked. I think they were trying to make me feel comfortable and ease my anxiety.
"It has three meaning...Happiness, lightning and Rose- redder than all." I replied.
"Rose is what suiting her right now, isn't it?" Keshav said and both of my hands travelled to my cheeks automatically, and they were warm.
Awkward! And such embarrassing! I thought.

"Stop it, Keshu. " Venky said again while shaking his head and Samar and Sanam nodded too.
"Okaaaay."
Milgayi Hai Wajah Meriyaa Sahaan nu. Puri Tu Kar Gayi Meriyaa Duava Nu .
My phone started ringing. I murmured an excuse and answered the call, it was from my school friend.
"Warisha! Where are you?" She asked.
"Where do you think I can be?"
"Oh.." she must be thinking that I am at home but hello! I am on a drive with my favorite band!
"Ah! Send me Ayaan's number please. " she pleaded.
"Oh..okay.I will." And she disconnected the call without even saying a bye. How mean!
I messaged her the number and sat quietly after that, until-
"Nice ringtone." Sanam continued, "This is your favorite song right?"
"Yeah. How do you know?" I asked curious. I didn't say anything about it yet.
"Because you screamed it in the concert. " Samar answered my question.
"Oh." I remembered, "Was I that loud?" I asked shyly .
Sanam gave a soft laugh. Oh! His eyes while he is laughing! "No, you were standing close to the stage."
They asked me that which was their first song I listened to and please don't believe me but I answered them in same way in which I answered Ameera.
They laughed saying, "You are impossible! One second you are shy, the other funny, and now drama queen. "
I smiled nervously murmuring, "Not my fault."
Of course, it is not my fault! It's them who are making me feel like this . They don't know that I dream about them everyday and that I think there are my old besties.
"So, what do you do?" Sanam asked.
Surprised of the sudden question coming at me, the only thing I was able to say was, "huh?"
"I mean are you a student or what?" He clarified.
"Student. " I replied nodding like an idiot, "I am student. Higher Secondary student. "
"Good."
I realized that I am still nodding a yes. I stopped suddenly and told myself not to behave like an idiot!
"Put that phone down, Keshu! " Samar said.
"What? Let me like all those pics." Keshav's tone was defensive. I turned and thanked him "Thank you Keshu..av..Sir" unsure of how should I address him.
"Ah..why?"
"For liking my posts!" I said with a broad smile, "Really, it's so sweet of you."
"We are sour?" Sanam asked sounding offended.
"Sorry." I apologized, sincerely.
"Don't be. I am just kidding, Warisha." He chuckled.
"Say it again!" I nearly screamed.
"Say what?"
"My name..please..."
"Warisha. " he said again and I clapped like a kid.
"You know what?" I started again in excitement and turned "whenever there was a live chat. I used to ask you all to say my name but you guys never did." I completed sadly "None of you."
"Hi, Warisha!" Keshav said.
"How are you, Warisha?" Samar followed.
"Everything good, Warisha? " Venky smiled.
"So, Warishaa..?" Sanam looked at me with his twinkling eyes.
"Oh God! Please stop it or I will faint. You all..saying my name...that to..right in front of me! OMG. OMG.OMG!"
They all smiled at my reaction.
They are so humble and gentle. Bhai was right even my bad luck works for me.
Not able to attend the concert with family, bad luck. Attending it with Ameera, Good luck. Loosing Ameera, Bad luck. Meeting SANAM the band while searching for her, Bestest Luck.
After a few more minutes we reached the hotel. Samar and rest were asking simple questions from me while the drive. It was indeed the best moment of my life, so far...

Beatrice Santello
An adult imagining of Beatrice Santello's life prior to the events of Night in the Woods. There are no explicit depictions of sex here, though there are obviously adult themes and situations involving it. I wasn't going to post it to Royalroad as I didn't think Fanfiction was okay here - but now I see it is and I am quite convinced it is the best work I've ever done yet, I've got to see what any fans of NitW think about it! The first chapter was originally written as a short vignette and wasn't intended to be continued into a full blown story. It was just intended to be moody and evocative. Even though anyone that has played Night in the Woods has a good idea how this must end, I hope it will still be worth the read. Also, since I've finished writing it, I'm going to post it as one big chapter dump all at once. Cover drawing by GreasyMojo and colored by me (with permission!). I don't think it should be too risque on it's own but I suppose I'll soon find out.
