A/N: Y'all I feel like this is just....not good lol. If you're reading and stuck with me this far I hope you'll continue to do so. I hope it gets better...... lol

The look in Chris's eyes as he navigated his way towards her and Chace through the crowd caused Livie to feel suddenly sober.

"Chris!" Uh-oh her voice slurred, so much for feeling sober.

"What's going on here?" Chris narrowed his eyes looking back and forth between Livie and Chace.

"Nothing, we're just dancing." She shrugged it off.

"Looks like a little more than just dancing." Chris tilted his head waiting for an explanation.

"What are you mad for?" Livie demanded to know, "You're not even supposed to be here."

"I wanted to surprise you. How much have you had to drink?" Chris looked down at the beer in her hand.

"Just a few Dad." She rolled her eyes and then laughed hysterically.

"This your idea?" Chris spat at Chace.

"No man." Chace shook his head innocently. "We really were just dancing."

"Somehow I don't believe that."

"Are you accusing me of something?" Livie stumbled back a little. Chace grabbed her elbow to steady her.

"No. Nothing. Looks like Chace has this taken care of."

"Yes he does!" Livie turned back to Chace and wrapped her arms around his neck.

"Liv." Chace warned her with a shake of his head. "You are drunk. Go talk to him."

"I don't want to talk to him. He blew me off. I want to dance! Come on Chace dance with me." She whined as an upbeat Shawn Mendes song came on.

Chace debated for a moment but knew Livie wouldn't go talk to Chris whether he danced with her or not so he gave in and stayed on the dance floor.

Chris could not believe what he walked in on. His eyes searched the crowd until he found Seb and he stalked his way over.

"Christopher!!" Seb hooted. "What's going on man!" He slapped him playfully on the back.

"Hey." Chris replied.

"Whoa! What's wrong with you?"

"Chace and Livie." He nodded over to where the 2 were still dancing together.

Seb frowned. "Does she know you're here?"

Chris nodded, "Does that matter? Does she frequently hang all over Chace when I'm not around?" He asked his eyes blazing.

"No, that's not what I meant...." Seb sighed not wanting to be in the middle of this. But seeing 2 of his best friends fight over who he considered his little sister wasn't exactly what he wanted either so he pushed his way through the dance floor over to Livie and Chace.

"Hey you two want to cool it?" Seb asked.

"Cool what?" Livie wrinkled her nose and rolled her eyes.

"You're drunk and you're being a bitch." Seb said through gritted teeth to Livie.

"Hey!" Livie pretended to be hurt but then laughed. "Oh I see you're here for Chris." She looked over Seb's shoulder where Chris had his back to them ordering a drink from the bar.

"Why are you dancing with Chace if Chris is here?"

"I can't hear you." Livie pointed towards the speakers before pulling Chace to the opposite side of the dance floor laughing as she went.

"Dammit Livie!" Sebastian growled.

He walked back over to Chris, "I told you she was a mess. I'm sorry man. She's drunk."

"Make sure she gets home ok." Chris asked.

Seb nodded, "You're not going to stick around?"

"Why to watch my girlfriend dry hump the guy she used to sleep with all across the dance floor? No I think I'll pass." Chris downed the shot he had ordered and disappeared into the sea of people and out the door.

Livie groaned the next morning as she sat up her hand to her temple. She was so hungover. She stretched and looked to her side where Chace was still asleep. The whole night came back to her. Chris had left and Livie had kept drinking. Yes, she had gone home with Chace but nothing had happened between them. She had begged him to let her go home with him she was scared Chris would show up at her place. So he allowed her to and then they fell asleep on his couch.

"Hey." Chace said his voice raspy.

"Hi." She stood up from the couch, "Do you have Advil, aspirin, Tylenol? Anything?"

"Cabinet in bathroom. Grab me some too."

Livie grabbed the bottle of advil and a bottled water from the fridge. She took 3 for her pounding headache before handing Chace his and the water.

"You know coming home with me last night was probably the worst possible thing you could have done." Chace looked up at her.

"I know." She shrugged. "He probably won't talk to me anyway."

"What was the deal with you two I would have asked last night but I was to drunk to care." He admitted.

"He wasn't coming because he was hanging out with a friend of his whose dad is sick. He blew me off for some other girl."

"Whose dad was sick?" Chace raised an eyebrow.

"I know I sound like a jealous brat."

"And all of that was because he didn't come but then he showed up and you.....showed out?"

"I was mad at him."

"Do you hear yourself?" Chace laughed.

Livie crossed her arms over her chest with a pout. "Guess I should go home. He probably went back to Boston anyway."

Livie made her way back up to the upper east side finally turning her phone back on. Nothing from Chris.

She got back to her place and took a hot shower. She put on a pair of sweats and a t-shirt and called Chris.

She was a little surprised when he answered.

"Hey. I didn't think you would answer." She admitted.

"Yeah I didn't think I would either."

"Are you still in New York?"

"I'm at Sebastian's."

"Do you want to come over?"

"Not really."

Livie swallowed, "Do you want to meet somewhere to talk?"

"Fine."

45 minutes later Livie walked into the diner down the street from Seb's. Chris was already there. She slid into the booth across from him.

"Hi." She said softly.

"Hey."

"I'm sorry about last night." She blurted out.

"Me too."

"I was angry at you."

"I get that. But Chace, really? Livie....."

"I was drunk."

"Again not an excuse."

"So what you're breaking up with me?" Her eyes started to water a little.

"I figured you were breaking up with me."

"Nothing happened with Chace. We danced. We fell asleep on his couch and that's it."

"Wait....you went home with him?" Chris's jaw clenched.

"Yes but not like that."

"Are you trying to push me away?"

"No, course not. I was drunk."

"You keep saying that like that should be an excuse."

"Not an excuse I just wasn't thinking clearly."

"Livie why don't you call me when you are thinking clearly." Chris finished the coffee in his cup, pulled his wallet out and threw down a couple dollars.

"You're joking right?" Livie couldn't believe he was just going to leave.

"No. I'm not. I told you I trusted you. I told you I wouldn't ask you to stay away from Chace. And the first time you get mad at me you run straight to him. I thought I could handle a long-distance relationship but looks like I can't. And looks like you can't either."

"Chris!" She pleaded. He gave her one last sympathetic smile before turning and walking out the diner door.
