Chris sat at his mom's kitchen table with a lovesick grin on his face as he texted back and forth with Livie. He was at a Labor Day cookout at his mom's house but yet had been sitting in the kitchen most of the afternoon talking to Livie. She had gone out on the boat and he was wishing he would have stayed in New York instead of returning to Boston.

"When do we get to meet this girl?" Chris's brother Scott walked into the kitchen and pulled out a chair at the table.

"Huh?" Chris barely looked up from his phone a stupid grin plastered on his face.

"I said," Scott snatched Chris's phone from his hand, "When are we going to get to meet this girl?"

"Hey!" Chris scowled attempting to grab his phone back.

Scott scrolled through the messages really only to mess with Chris but stopped on the photo of Livie in her bathing suit on the boat. "Wow she's a knockout. What's she doing talking to you?"

"Ha! You're funny." Chris rolled his eyes holding his hand out for his phone. It buzzed in Scott's hand before he could hand it back and Scott's eyes lit up.

"Incoming text." He scrolled back down to see what it said. "She said she changed her mind she doesn't really like you. She said it's the arrogant frat boy thing you have going on."

"Give me that!" Chris seized his phone out of Scott's grasp.

Scott laughed, "When are you going back to New York?"

"Not sure." Chris shrugged.

"Let's go this weekend. I'll come with."

"No way. I'm not allowing you to scare her off." Chris shook his head.

"Come on! All you girlfriends love me."

"I'll see if she's up to meeting you." Chris compromised.

"Yay! Weekend in the city!" Scott slid his chair out and stood up. "I'll let you get back to sexting."

Chris flipped his middle finger up with a laugh.

After spending a few hours on the boat Livie, JJ, Dex, Seb and Chace went to a rooftop pool party that a friend of Seb's was throwing. Livie grabbed a couple beers from the huge cooler that was pool side and handed on to JJ. There was music blaring and the place was packed both in the pool and out. Although Livie was having a blast when Chris called her she decided to head home. She left JJ there with Dex, Seb and Chace and caught a cab back to her place.

"You didn't have to leave the pool party." Chris felt bad.

"I know. But I wanted to talk to you. We didn't talk much today. You were with your family and I was on the boat."

"Speaking of my family.....my brother Scott wants to tag along this weekend if I make a trip into the city."

"You're coming to see me this weekend?" Livie's stomach flip flopped.

"I wanted to. If you're available that is."

"I'm definitely available. I feel bad though. You keep coming to me."

"It's easier. You work all week. Plus you declined my offer to come home with me this weekend, remember?" he teased.

"I know. I wanted to but I was scared of becoming overwhelmed. I've never met a boyfriend's family. I've never had a boyfriend." It still sounded so crazy coming from her mouth. But Chris had made her throw all doubts, fears and insecurities out the window. She still wasn't sure if that was a good thing, but it was too late now she was head over heels for him.

"I have a hard time believing you've never had a boyfriend. I mean I know you've told me why but you're beautiful, charming, funny. I kinda have to pinch myself to make sure you're real."

Livie laughed softly. "I feel the same way. And now I'm wishing I hadn't declined coming home with you this weekend. I'm dying to see you right now."

"Hit that little button your phone that says FACETIME."

Livie giggled, "That will help but I'm dying to touch you right now."

"Livie....stop. Don't say stuff like that to me." Chris warned. "I'm not sure I can stay on my best behavior."

"Who said you had to?"

"I'll come tonight." He breathed into the phone.

"What about your family....and Dodger?"

"I'll stay till you go to work in the morning and then go back home. A few hours with you is worth it."

Livie blushed. "I don't want you blowing off your family, or your dog. So instead why don't you, your brother and your dog come on Friday. Make a weekend of it."

"But then I'll have to be on my best behavior."

"My bedroom door locks, and I can be quiet." She grinned leaning back in her bed.

"Livie I can guarantee you, you won't be quiet."

"Is that a promise?"

"Put money on it."

Livie was slammed at work as Fashion week was starting that week. She had tickets to some of the shows, her and JJ always attended at least one. But with Chris in town she was doing her best to clear her schedule of work and play.

JJ had called Livie all day Tuesday but Livie just couldn't even find 5 minutes to talk to her best friend. When she finally got home, past 8:00 that evening she was exhausted. She fell into bed but heard someone banging on her front door.

"I'm coming!" She yelled with a frown. Not even bothering to check the peep hole she pulled the door open.

"JJ? Are you ok?" Livie asked confused. "I'm sorry I didn't call you back today. It's been a nightmare at the office."

"I kissed Seb." JJ pushed her way past Livie and collapsed onto the couch dramatically.

"What?" Livie smiled amused, "You kissed Seb, as in Sebastian. As Sebastian Stan."

"Yeah say it a few more times." JJ said sarcastically.

"Did you mean to kiss him?"

"What?"

"I mean were you drunk and it happened or was it something you wanted?" Livie moved a throw pillow and sat down next to her friend.

"I don't know." JJ moaned, "I wanted it.....I think."

"Tell me what happened from the beginning. Oh wait!" Livie jumped up and grabbed a bottle of wine and 2 glasses from the kitchen before returning to the living room where she filled the glasses.

"Now tell me." She handed JJ a glass of wine.

"It was at the pool party. You had left. Chace had left. He was a party pooper anyway. Dex was off with some girl. And Seb asked if I wanted to get in the pool. I said no. He said too bad and shoved me in. He jumped in after me and we were, I don't know playing around, he was being flirty. And then he just backed me up against the side of the pool and kissed me."

"That sounds.....hot." Livie leaned closer to JJ.

"And then something clicked and my brain was like why haven't I been doing this before?"

"Wow...." Livie was all ears.

"So he pulled back and kind of just smiled at me. And then asked if I wanted to get out of there."

"Holy shit."

"Yeah." JJ nodded. "So we took an uber and made out the whole way but when we got to my place I freaked out and jumped out."

"Have you talked to him since?"

"No, and he hasn't called me or texted me. So maybe he was just drunk?"

"Seb's not like that though."

"It's exactly what happened with you and Chace ."

"No." Livie leaned back stretching her legs out on the ottoman. "Chace gave me a ride home from my birthday party. We were both drunk, but I knew what I was doing. We both did. We both wanted it, we had been dancing around it for weeks, probably months. And I didn't freak out and run. He spent the night......and then the next night."

"What should I do?" JJ asked. "You know him better than me. He's like your brother."

"Do you like him?"

JJ nodded slowly, "I think so."

"Call him."

"What if he was just drunk?"

"I don't think that was the case. He's not like that." Livie said for the second time.

"You can call him." JJ suggested.

"And say what?"

"See if he says anything about me."

Livie laughed, "This feels like something a 16-year-old would do."

JJ shrugged, "I haven't evolved much."

Livie debated for a moment but grabbed her phone and dialed Sebastian.

"Oooo-livia." Seb answered.

"Hi Bastian." She rolled her eyes.

"What can I do you for?"

"I was wondering what you were doing this weekend?"

"Why? This seems weird. You've never called and asked what I'm doing. You just come over."

"Oh, well." Livie looked at JJ nervously, "Chris and his brother are coming into town on Friday. I was thinking maybe me, you, them and JJ could go out to dinner."

"JJ, huh?" She could hear the smile in Seb's voice.

"Yeah....that sound ok to you?"

"Yeah I think I could swing that. You talk to JJ today?"

"No." She lied, "I've been swamped at work all day."

"Why am I on speaker?"

"Cause I'm cooking?" She blurted out.

"You've never cooked. But yeah ok Liv, just tell me when and where." Seb said a grin still on his face.

"Ok bye." She clicked the phone off and looked at JJ wide eyed.

This weekend was looking to become very interesting.
