I walked up to my mothers doorstep ringing the doorbell as Steve stood behind me with his hands in his pockets. The door soon opened as we seen my mother standing there with a cane due to the chemo treatments affecting her body.

"What?" She questioned as I was about to walk away but Steve stopped me as I looked up at him. "Just Do it and you don't ever have to talk to her again" he assured as I just nodded some then turned.

"We have a way for your cancer to be gone, no more treatments, no more surgeries no more pain" I assured. "Yeah and what is going to happen? You two going to send me to a doctor out of the state or something?" She asked smartly with a little laugh as I tried to hold my tongue.

"No actually we're taking you to Wakanda for you to get proper evaluation and treatment" Steve interrupted simply before he walked away going into the car. "Go pack some clothes for the weekend we'll be in the car" I said before leaving from the front door. I went back into the car as I closed the door. I looked back at Autumn in her car seat.

"say hello and if she doesn't speak back it's okay baby" I assured to Autumn as she nodded continuing to eat her potato chips we got from the nearest corner store. My mother soon got into the car. "Hi" Autumn automatically said sweetly. "Hi" autumn said again as my mother was acting like she didn't hear her. "You too old" I started off to myself as Steve placed his hand on my lap.

I turned in my seat "you hear my daughter talking to you" I stated. "Don't start that bull shit when someone is trying to help your bitter ass" I added feeling Steve place his hand on my leg. I immediately just turned and faced forward. "Hi" I heard my mother say to Autumn. After a quiet ride to the ship we finally boarded as Sam, Tiffany and Bucky was on board.

"Hi tiffany" I heard my mother say to Tiffany as Tiffany just looked at her. "Hi" Tiffany simply said. Sam started the ship as Steve say me down and stood in front of me talking to me quietly. "I understand why you're pissed and you have every right to be but don't go about it like that" he said referring to how I was acting in the car. "Yeah but look at how she was acting she didn't greet anyone" I said. "I understand that but that is your mother and you did it in front of Autumn" he said as I just sighed to myself and listened.

"You know how she is right now Just don't say anything to her" Steve said as I just looked over at my mother who was sitting by herself on her phone. "Okay?" Steve asked as I bounced my leg. "Okay" I simply said feeling him kiss my head. "If she try that shit when we get to Wakanda she's not getting any treatment" I simply said as Steve just looked at me. "We fix her and you don't ever have to worry about her again that was the deal" he reminded as I just sucked my teeth. "You're not a spiteful person so don't start acting like one" Steve simply said before walking away from me.

"Now who the hell he talking too?" I asked myself. We finally soon made it into Wakanda getting settled in as I just unpacked my bag quietly. "You still mad about what I said earlier?" Steve questioned unpacking his bag as I just shook my head. "No I understand where you're coming from it's just hard because she has an issue with me. So if your issue is with me don't take it out on everyone else bring disrespectful" I expressed.

"Like I said you came here to do something good once it's done you don't ever have to speak to her again. I don't want you to have a guilty conscious if she dies from her having chemo alone" Steve said as I listened and he was right. "Come here" I said to him "what's wrong?" He questioned as I shook my head. "Come here" I said as he came up to me. I wrapped my arms around his neck and brought him down to my lips. "Go put Autumn to bed" I said softly rubbing his lower ab. "Me and the guys-" he started off as I placed my hand on his bulge. I watched as he placed his fingers on his beard. "I'll put her to bed and happily cancel" Steve said

as I just smiled at him and watched him hurry out of the room.

I went into the bathroom locking the door so I could take a shower in peace. But knowing Steve he's going to find a way in.

I was in the shower for about five minutes as I heard knock on the bathroom door. "Hold on!" I said before hearing the door to the bathroom open. "Took too long" Steve simply said before coming in as I opened the shower door looking at him crazy.

I then closed the shower door back continuing to wash my body. He then got into the shower with me as I turned and wrapped my arms around his neck. "I love you so much" I said looking him in his eyes. "I love you too" He said wrapping his arms around my waist and bringing me close to kiss my lips.

Steve then picked me up as I laughed. "If we fall you're going to need life alert, old man" I teased as he chuckled and placed his lips on mine.

I was finished getting dressed and doing light makeup on my face

As my hair combed out and was in a big puff. I liked it so I left it alone and honestly Wakanda was a very safe space for me to do that. I walked out the room heading for the stairs beginning to walk down the stairs "She's your Queen-to-be" I heard someone sing from coming to America. I looked over the granite railing to the stairs seeing Sam singing along with Okoye and Bucky laughing. "Bucky you don't even know what it is" Sam said to him as they started bickering and I continued downstairs.

"Autumn is currently eating breakfast with everyone in the garden" Okoye informed as I smiled "thank you" I thanked and she smiled walking off. "How's it going with the shield?" I asked Sam. "Uh" Sam started off. "Uh what?. Where's Tiffany?" I questioned. "At the table talking to T'challa's sister" he informed as we all walked into the garden and I seen everyone at the table Besides T'Challa and Steve. I then felt a hand on my lower back as I turned and seen Steve.

"Hey" he said placing a kiss on my cheek "good morning baby" I said before we walked to the table and sat down saying good morning to everyone. My mother looked at me as I just looked away and started making my plate. "Y/N why is your hair like that?" My mother questioned.

And to think Wakanda was a safe space. "What's wrong with it?" I questioned. "Steve you let her walk out the house like that?" She questioned "wow" I said to myself. "I admire it, when she wears her natural hair i think it's beautiful and she's brave enough to attempt authenticity in a world that rewards mediocrity and approximation" Steve said before drinking his orange juice.

T'Challa, Sam and Bucky just smiled at him as I just smiled to myself. "It's beautiful I love it" I heard T'Challa's mother Romanda say as I smiled and thanked her. "It grows towards the sun just like nature" I heard Okoye say before giving me a wink as I smiled to myself continuing to eat.
