–Wake up, Y/n! Wake up! –a little voice shouted right in my ear while jumping on my bed and proceeded to rock my body back and forth.
–Zen... I'm warning you, pequeño monstruo (little monster). If you don't let me sleep five more minutes, I won't play with you. –I groaned trying to cover my face with the blankets and turning to the other side of the bed.
–No! I want to play with you... –he sounded pretty bummed.
–Then let me have my beauty sleep.
–But mommy called and told me to wake you up, it's already eleven o'clock.
–What? –I asked getting up all shaken up, I can't believe I slept in this late.
–Yeah, we already had waffles for breakfast.
–Oh my God, oh my God... –I said getting out of bed and grabbing the outfit I had laid out last night and running to the bathroom but before I got in, I turned to see Zen, Zoe's youngest son.– I gotta get ready but we'll play later, okay?
–Okay... –he said sadly.
–I promise! Go play with your siblings while I get ready. –I said before shutting the bathroom door.
I showered and got ready as fast as I could. I thought Zoe would take me to set with her but I guess she decided to let me sleep a little longer since we went to sleep pretty late because after dinner we played board games with her husband and kids and lost track of time.
By the time I finished I saw a handwritten note from Zoe's husband saying he went out and took his kids with him. I grabbed my bag, cell phone and called an Uber. On the ride to set, I texted Grace, Josh, Jess and Charlie. Grace and Josh were dying to know what was happening and everything I did. I had a few texts from Chris letting me know how his day was going, the last one he sent me was about fifteen minutes ago, saying he was almost done and asking me if I wanted him to pick me up at Zoe's.
Once I arrived, security let me in pretty easily which was rare for studios but I guess either Chris or Zoe's agents let them know I was coming. I started walking towards the Avengers' cast trailers, deciding to wait for Chris in his when I suddenly heard someone yelling at me.
–There she is! Sleeping beauty is finally here. –he said embracing me in a hug while I just scrunched my nose in embarrassment.
–So Zoe told everyone I slept in, okay... –I said patting his back.– Hi, Anthony. –I smiled without showing my teeth.
–Hello sister.
–Hi, Sebastian. –I said and gave him a quick hug.
–Hey, Y/n. –he smiled a bit shyly but still hugged me back.
–Do you guys know where Chris is? Or perhaps where the snitch is? –I asked referring to Zoe.
–Lover boy is in the make up trailer over there, –said Mackie pointing to one of the trailers.– and Zoe's currently filming a scene.
–And what are you guys doing? Do you have a break or is this just Anthony making the level of productivity drop ten percent? –I asked now making reference to something Chris said on an interview a while ago, hoping they would get it. Thank God, they did for they both burst into laughter.
–The second one. –Sebastian answered.
–Hey, Kimmel said that's a reasonable percentage. –Mackie replied.
The three of us kept on chatting for a few minutes before seeing Chris was walking to his trailer so we made our way there. At first I was nervous and trying to not make a fool of myself but they were so funny and not at all stuck up unlike other famous people that I've met so I soon forgot they were celebrities and felt like I was spending time with friends.

–Hello, hello... –I said opening the make up trailer.
–Hey, beautiful. –said Chris but I couldn't see him.
–Woah, woah... Calm down, lover boy, you guys are not alone. –said Mackie.
–But I guess it's better if we go, cheesy Evans makes me cringe. –said Sebastian.
Chris came out of the trailer's bathroom, rubbing his face with a towel and gave them a death stare so they said goodbye and basically ran away. I sat down in the couch and smiled at him, he smiled back, making me feel butterflies in my stomach.
–I was getting worried about you, Sleeping beauty, you didn't reply my texts today but then Zoe told us she let you sleep in. –he sat down next to me.
–Oh my God, you're the second person to call me that today. –I laughed.– Yeah, we stayed up late playing with her kids.
–You really like kids, don't you? I see you get along well with my nephews and Zoe's kids... –he put a strand of hair behind my ear, but it seemed like he did it unconsciously, still made me nervous, once again...
–Yeah, yeah... –I smiled, nodding and looking down.– I love kids, I want to have lots of them someday... I have an idea of what it's like to have siblings because I grew up really close to my cousins but being an only child made me want to have a bunch of kids... –I chuckled.– What about you? –I turned to look back at him, he had a big smile plastered on his face.
–Me too, I want a big Boston family. I had so much fun growing up with my siblings.
–I can tell! You all speak so fondly of your childhoods.
–Let me change into normal clothes and then what do you say we continue this conversation over some food?
–Oh, I love food. –I said and we both laughed.– Sounds great but it's sad that you have to change, I kinda like the Captain America suit. –he blushed. I couldn't believe I just said that.– I'll be waiting outside, I have to talk to Zoe.
–I'll be with you in a few minutes.
I got out of the trailer and almost instantly ran into Elizabeth. She screamed and we ran to hug each other. A few seconds later, we felt another set of arms holding us and Scarlett's voice saying "I want to be part of whatever this is!". We laughed and broke the hug. Scarlett went to grab her daughter from her assistant and came back.
–Say hi, baby Rosie. –I smiled at her and waved while mumbling "hi".
–Hello...
–She just woke up from her nap.
–Ugh, she's the cutest, I could eat her cheeks. –said Lizzie grabbing and swaying her, making her giggle.
–Please don't eat my child, Liz. –we laughed and Lizzie just replied "of course not".– Oh, Y/n, Robert booked a nightclub so there's a party tonight, hope you and Chris can come.
–Oh that sounds nice but I'm not twenty one yet... –Scarlett's baby, Rose, held her arms up in my direction so I smiled and grabbed her.– And I left my fake ID in Boston... –I whispered.
–You're not? –asked both of them a little shocked but soon dropped that look off their faces.
–Nah, it shouldn't be a problem. It's kind of a private party so they'll let you in... –said Scarlett.
–Yeah, I'm sure Robert wrote your name on the list. –added Lizzie.
–Well, I'll talk to Chris about it.
–Talk to me about what? –he said joining us.

He lightly tapped Rose's nose and squeezed her cheek, making the little girl blush and giggle once again. He then looked at me, gave me a smile (which I returned) and put his arm around my waist. My heart skipped a bit and I coughed a little to clear my throat, feeling my stomach flutter.
–About Downey's party tonight. –said Elizabeth.
–Will you guys go? –asked Scarlett.
–Do you want to go? –he asked me in a low voice, making me shiver but I tried to keep a poker face.– I kinda had plans for us tonight. –he whispered that last part in my ear.
I gulped hopefully not too loud. What? Wait a damn second... What the heck is going on?
–Uh... this is getting weird.
–Yeah. –said Scarlett grabbing her baby taking her from me.– Let us know when you decide... –they fled the scene and I turned to look at him with a little playful smirk.
–Can I know what plans you had?
–They're kind of a secret, Y/n. But trust me, you'll enjoy our date.
–Oh, so it's a date? –I smiled lifting my brow he nodded and said 'yep'.– I don't remember you asking me out on a date and me accepting...
–But yesterday... –he said confused.
–Yesterday I only talked about maths and percentages. –I said holding back a smile.– Besides, I might already have plans. –I looked at my nails and then at him.
–Oh you do?
–Yes, two friends just invited me to a party tonight, I could even meet someone there...
–In that case, –he kneeled down like that time in Boston, and once again I freaked out.– I can't take the risk of you meeting someone else, will you Y/n González, do me the honor of going out on a date with me today?
–Oh my God, Christopher, not again. –I covered my forehead and then ran my hands all over my face while shaking my head, chuckling.
–I'm waiting... –he grabbed my hands.
–I will...
–Yes! –he got up and excitedly moved his arm towards him.
–Only if we go to Robert's party.
–Okay, sounds fair.
–Wow, wow, wow... what just happened? –said Chris Pratt.
–Evans, don't propose to my twenty year old, niece. –said Zoe.– Nice to see you're awake, Y/n.
–Come on! I didn't wake up that late!
–You must be Y/n, I'm Chris Pratt, I've heard a lot about you. Nice to meet you. –he said while we shook hands and emphasized the word 'lot' rolling his eyes playfully at the same time.
–Nice to meet you too. –I chuckled.
–Honey, Kevin Feige sends you this. –said Zoe handing me a card with his name and contact information.– He said he would be calling you any time soon, isn't that exciting?
–Oh my God... –I said taking it, not being able to believe it.– Is this good or am I in trouble?
–Are you kidding? –said the three of them.
–This is great, Y/n! –said Chris hugging me.– He probably saw you throw those knives like a champ. –he said making us all laugh.
We talked for a little longer, Chris Pratt was really kind and it was interesting talking to him. A few minutes later, we left the studios. Chris said he would take me to one of his favorite places to eat and have coffee here. I was secretly dying to eat something so I didn't mind where he would take me.
We agreed to see them later at Robert's party and started walking towards his car, he opened the door for me and drove away as soon as he got in. He let me be in charge of the music like a good "co-pilot". He began laughing, quite surprised when Fleetwood Mac started blasting out from his speakers.
–What are you laughing at? –I smiled, looking at him.
–I didn't think you would hear to music like Fleetwood Mac, that's closer to my age than to yours.
–What music did you think I listened to? –I asked moving to turn to see him.
–Boy bands, Justin Bieber, Shawn Mendes, I don't know... –he chuckled.
–Should I be surprised about you knowing them?
–I'm not that old. –he said looking at me with a smile and one of his brows lifted.
–I didn't say you were but you don't seem like the type of guy to know Shawn Mendes or Justin Bieber.
–Well, somehow I know them. –he smiled shaking his head.–
–I used to like their music very much, I still do but I don't listen to them that much anymore. I listen to all types of music but Fleetwood Mac is probably one of my all time favorites.
–Well, you have good music taste. –he said pulling over.
–I know. –he laughed at how cocky I said that and I just followed, looking at him and lightly laughing. I liked his laughter, it was cute and contagious.
–Wait a second. –he said and didn't give me any time to respond since he was already out of the car and coming to open my door.– Milady. –he said giving me his hand to help me out. I chuckled and shaking my head took it.
The valet parking took the car and we got inside the restaurant which was kind of low-key and not that crowded. Chris put his hand on my low back, guiding me to the entrance. To my surprise, Chris had made a reservation and a woman took us to our table. She handed us a couple of menus and left.
We kept talking about life in general and getting to know each other's views on different things. We shared a lot of them but the ones we didn't we respect them which made us both feel comfortable. I teased him about ordering some avocado toast and saying it was instagram pic worthy, telling him he had a "basic teenager" spirit. However, he got to tease me back and get revenge when I asked if I could take a picture of his food for my instagram stories since the pancakes I ordered didn't look as pretty as his avocado toast did.
–So, I've been meaning to ask you, we don't have to talk about it if you don't want to, but you said you would tell me when you came here what made you cry the day you told me you were coming...
–Oh yeah, that... –I sighed and looked down. He instantly grabbed my hand and started rubbing the back of it with his finger.
–Hey, hey... we really don't have to talk about it if you don't want to. –he said looking and sounding concerned. I smiled at him.
–No, no, it's okay. I feel it might be good for me to talk about it.
–I don't want to pressure you, really... I was just worried because Sarah and my mom told me it had something to do with your family but they didn't give me any details.
–Yeah, it had to do with my mom...
I started telling him everything that happened, he made me feel like I could trust him so I didn't hold anything back. All the time I talked, he gave me reassurance and didn't judge my feelings at all. When I finished talking he even gave me very wise advice on a couple of things, which I was thankful for. It felt good telling him and feeling understood, nevertheless, I also felt a bit of a change in his behavior.
When we finished eating, he took me to Atlanta's botanical garden. It was really beautiful and one of a kind. We never stopped talking but he still was in a weird mood. We sat down for a couple minutes and remained in silence, it wasn't awkward or uncomfortable but there was something wrong, I knew he wanted to say or ask something.
–Did you really want to come here? –he asked in a little bit rough tone and looked at me. I frowned confused.
–To the botanical garden? Yes, I love it. I like going to these kind of places, I'm such a classical touris... –he cut me off.
–No, I mean Atlanta, to visit me...
–Yeah! Of course. Why are you asking me this?
–Y/n, I really don't judge you for what happened with your mom and what you thought and felt about it but... –now I was the one cutting him off.
–Huh... –I said bitterly.– It sounds like you do.
–No, I swear I don't but based on what you told me this just feels like a rebellious act. It seems like you just came here to get back on your mom.
–Chris, I don't... –I sighed.
I understood where he came from, I myself wondered if I was doing what Chris said and maybe it was partly true but I knew, even if I didn't want to recognize it out loud, that I liked Chris. So I also decided to come because I want to know him more and spend time with him. I took both his hands in mine.
–I came here because I... I wanted to spend time with you. Sure, meeting the Avengers also sounded cool but not as much as being with you. –he smiled looking down but then looked back at me as soon as I started talking again.– You know I like talking to you, laughing with you... I mean we FaceTime almost every day. –he chuckled and then started playing with my hair, putting it behind my shoulders.
–I'm sorry for lashing out, I was... scared that you didn't want to be with me because... well, probably you already know but... I like you. –my heart stopped beating at that moment.
–No, no... not the case. Don't think that. –I said whispering. I intertwined our fingers and placed my free hand on top of them.
He stopped playing with my hair and placed his hand on my cheek, making me blush and smile. He then slowly started to get closer to my face and his eyes wondered from my lips to my eyes, making me nervous. I knew he was going to kiss me, which made my stomach ache from the nerves. Just as our lips were about to touch I moved my face and he ended up kissing my cheek.
–Have you not heard about no kisses on the first date?
–Oh come on! –he laughed, evidently frustrated.
–I'm sorry, Chris. –I chuckled, hugging him.– This is a great place for a first kiss, though.
–It is! And we were having a moment.
–We were. And just for the record, I might like you too. –I said breaking our hug.
–Oh yeah? –he lifted a brow, smirking. I put my hand in his mouth laughing.
–Wipe that smirk off your face. –I said getting up from the bench we had been sitting on.– Come on, we still have a lot to see before I have to get ready for Robert's party.
–You're definitely something else, Y/n González... –he said getting up and grabbing my hand, intertwining our fingers.– But, as I said before, I don't give up easily.
–Good to know. –I nodded.
