"That's so cute!" Anya cooed at the outfit M'lani was wearing which was a pink onesie with grey pants and a matching pink headband.
"I saw it and I just had to get it for her." Makayla smiled sitting her God daughter on the steps but keeping a close eye on her so she wouldn't fall.
"I just noticed the shoes." Anya laughed snapping quick photos before picking her up and giving her kisses.
"Mommy and daddy missed you." Anya cooed as they sat on the couch, she decided to spend some time with Makayla while Milo was out playing basketball with Dre and the guys.
"So how's mom life?" Makayla asked as she sat across from Anya and M'lani.
"Mom life is hard sometimes but it's also really rewarding, I don't regret my daughter at all but it's hard to juggle school and taking care of little bean. Milo does help a lot so I'm not complaining about that....I thought about taking a semester off but I don't know.."
"Do you think taking a semester off would make things less stressful?"
"I do but I don't want Milo to take off if he doesn't need to." Anya said reaching for the diaper bag so that she could make a bottle.
"Well you know if you need Dre and I to keep her while you and Milo study we will."
"I know love, I but don't want to your class work to suffer."
"It won't." Makayla chuckled holding her arms as Anya passed M'lani to her. "We're her God parent-" Makayla paused hearing her younger sister Layana but she always called her Lay for short.
"Aww! She so cute! Hi little baby! What's her name?" Layana said sitting by Makayla, she was there visiting her older sister because she was on spring break, Layana was only 18 and she'd be turning 19 in December.

"Her name is M'lani." Anyas smiled giving her kissed to try to make her giggle.
"Can I hold her?" She asked sitting beside Makayla still.
"Of course you can." She smiled as Layana reached her arms out to take M'lani from Anya.
They sat on the couch and made small talk before hearing the door open, Dre and Milo walked into the house with boxes of pizza and drinks.
"Hey babe." Milo said giving Anya a kiss on the lips before greeting Makayla and her younger sister. Dre kissed Makayla before giving Layanaa hug before going into the bedroom to shower.
"So how long at you here for Layana?" Anya asked.
"Just a week. I go back to school Monday so I'll be leaving on Saturday I think." She said smiling down at M'lani as she was holding her finger.
"I'm planning on taking her to Wet n Wild, the water park maybe Thursday if y'all wanna come over after you can."
Anya waved her off. "You're fine we'll do something Friday night."
Milo sat beside Anya and put his head in his hands, rubbing his eyes until he saw shapes. Layana looked over at him then at Anya.
"Is he ok?"
Before Anya could answer he sat up and twisted his lips to the side. "I'm cool lil bit." He said running a hand down his face.
"Did you switch?" Anya ask as M'lani started to whine so she took her from Layana's arms.
Milo nodded his head but Layana was still a little confused.
"I'm confused.. switch what?"
"He has a personality disorder Lay, he just switched personalities no need to be confused." Makayla said as Layana nodded and shrugged.
"Anya I missed you! And little bean!"
"I already know who that is." Makayla laughed before Zane got up to give her a hug before turning to face Laynana.
"Who's this?" He asked making a face.

"I'm Makayla's sister.. You can call me Lay."
"Like lay down and got to sleep, lay on the beach, Oh wait! Lay by the pool." He chuckled as they all laughed.
"He's so goofy. I'm sorry." Anya chuckled.
"It's cool. I like this guy. What's your name?" Layana asked opening a bag of gummy bears.
"I'm Zane, there's Jaxon, Atlas, Seven, Sai and Milo who's the host of this semi train wreck."
Layana raised her eyebrows before looking between Makayla and Anya.
"Ok?.. Well you seem pretty cool."
"I'm the life of the party trust me.. They know." Zane said before laying his head in Anya's lap. "I'm tired. Can we go home now?" He pouted a little.
"Yeah we can. We'll see you guys later. I'll have Milo text Dre if he fronts again." She said as Zane sat up taking M'lani from Anya. "Come on princess. It's time to go home and watch Cocomelon." He smiled down as M'lani chewed on her fingers.
Getting into the car Zane put on his seatbelt and nodded his head to the music that played on the radio before sighing which causing Anya to turned the music down.
"What's wrong?"
"I think I'm just overwhelmed." He said looking sad.
"It's ok, just trying to relax we're almost home."
He closed his eyes and leaned against the window watching as the tree pass by as the car made it's way the the street.
"Meeting new people overwhelms us.. I mean we were fine a few minutes ago... I don't want Lay to think we're weird."
"She won't beside, she's just a teenager. I'm sure she gets overwhelmed meeting new people too, don't analyze it too much ok." Anya said as Zane smiled before M'lani began to whine.
"Ok....Little princess, what's wrong?" He said looking back at her, reaching his hand in the backseat he held her little hand. "We're almost home little bean. Don't cry."
Anya couldn't help but smile, she missed Zanes positive attitude he hadn't been fronting in a few days, Milo was trying to keep it down to one switch a day but it was now turning into rapid switching and it was tiring then all out.
Once the were inside Zane headed to the bathroom to take his medication before helping Anya give M'lani and bath and get her into bed.
"She looks so peaceful." Zane said staring down at a sleeping M'lani.
"Yeah she does. Are you hungry?"
He shook his head no and sat on the edge of the bed putting his head in his hands.
"Zane?."
He didn't say anything.
"Zane? You ok?"
He kept his head in his hands a few seconds longer before giving Anya a confused look. "What's up Anya. Gimmie a hug."
She smiled noticing Jax's nonchalant attitude. "Even though Milo's being an asshole by not letting me come out often, You still my bae I don't care."
"I know he's been trying to not switch so much. You're still cool with me of course."
"I better be, it's gonna become more rapid now since he's trying to stop it." He said licking his lips and giving her a once over.
"I missed you bae.."
"I missed you too Jaxon. I missed all of you." She smiled as he kissed her cheek.
After about another hour is conversations about school and who'd win a fight between Chris Brown and Soulja Boy which obviously Anya's choice was Chris, they got into bed and listened to the rain.
"If I'm still fronting tomorrow you wanna go to the mall or something?"
"Sure."
"Aight then. I'll try to stay fronted all night. Their bickering now about who's gonna front tomorrow but I think I'll stay awhile. Goodnight bae."
"Goodnight Jax."

The Laptop Hero (Portal/Isekai LitRPG)
[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] - April 2022 Silas got summoned to another world—by a group of kids attending magic school who seemed rather unhappy with the results of their ritual. After a brief glimpse of his summoners Silas woke in the town dump. Unable to speak the local language, a misunderstanding escalated and before long Silas wound up in a jail cell, the locals having confiscated all his worldly possessions aside from his laptop, which had formed some strange bond with him. Now he can summon his laptop at will, and he can view his Status, level up, and gain powerful skills and magic as if he were some character in a video game, which is great and everything, but all Silas really wants to do is sit in a dark room and play games on his laptop. Only, life isn't a game, and Silas needs to get his act together because everyone else is playing for keeps. Or does he? Maybe for Silas life is just one big game now, with everyone else stuck playing by his rules. Assorted Disclaimers, in no particular order: I am only posting this on RoyalRoad.com, so if you find my story elsewhere it was not posted by me. Please do let me know! While I do consider this a progression fantasy, and have tagged it as such, Silas's Status improvements will not necessarily proceed in a linear fashion. His RPG stats will have ups and downs, exploits and nerfs, periods of growth and stagnation. Such is the life of a gamer, to be held under the thumb of the all powerful devs, or in this case a certain goddess devoted to the idea of Balance. SIlas himself should learn and grow, improving and progressing in areas where he struggles, or rather, to show such is my goal. The story is told from multiple points of view. While other PoVs will come and go, Silas shall remain the only lead character. The world Silas finds himself on is not a nice place. Expect him to encounter gore and traumatizing content and bad people who do bad things for selfish (or possibly noble) reasons from time to time. Some characters will use profanity, however due to cultural differences the curse words used will differ from those used in our corner of reality, so I'm not including the profanity content warning. Silas himself isn't one for foul language. No explicit sexual content here. This novel is intended for mature readers, however, and will include mature topics, including, but not limited to, sex, violence, death, and taxes. No harem. Might be an eventual romantic interest, possibly even some competitive jealousy, yet as his story begins Silas is too overwhelmed with other concerns to consider long term plans. Musophobics might want to steer clear of this story. Same goes for turophobics. You have been warned. Keep in mind, however, if my other disclaimers didn't make this clear, I only have the faintest of outlines at the moment. This story will take me where it will. My goal with this story is to write it to the end, something of a long-term writing exercise, with the hope others might take an interest in my work and encourage me to keep at it. I've started a number of works before, even finished a few, but this is the first time I've shared any work in a public forum. My temporary cover was made by me, in GIMP using public domain images. If you can do better I'll happily accept your submission and give credit for your work here!

Cosmic Plague
In this world, everyone is cursed with a single fate: Become the most powerful. But those who do become powerful, they hate it. Power is misery and death is the solace. လလလ Nazar, a weapon of mass destruction created by the ancient God of Destruction revolted against his creator a long time ago. While he did defeat his creator, the power he was given is still within him. He is cursed with infinite power, standing at the top of the celestial hierarchy. He has more power and wealth than he needs. But even then, he craves one thing; death. He wants to die. Power is misery and death is the solace, but he cannot achieve his only goal. He cannot die. Perhaps that will change when one day, an ancient cosmic Goddess rises from her grave? Perhaps she will finally kill him? Or will she fall short before his awesome yet terrible power? Only time will tell. This is a high cosmic story about the hypocritical life of the protagonist and how it affects everyone (and everything) around him. Naturally, it features very overpowered characters with a lot of high stakes battles roaming across the cosmos. Warning: Swearing, some suggestive sexual gestures/words, gore. Feedback is highly welcomed. (The story was originally named, God's Return, but I wanted to change it.)
