1 week later.
Zane
I was so excited that I was the one who fronted this morning. Little bean is finally here and honestly I'm glad. I was so ready to see her come into the world but I didn't get to and I was a little sad a little it.
I looked over at Anya who was asleep but little bean was fussy, I guess because she was hungry. As nervous as I was I stood up and grabbed the baby bottle that was ready for her, shaking it a little I picked her up and held her in my arms.
"There you go princess, don't eat so fast. I don't want you to start coughing." I cooed smiling down at her.
Hearing Anya stirring in her sleep I glanced up to see her opening her eyes.
"Anya! You're awake, little bean was hungry so I'm feeding her."
"Aw thanks Zane, I'm glad to see you."
"You are? Why? I mean not why but.. I mean.. You know what I mean." I stammered as I focused on feeding little bean.
"I'm very glad to see you actually. Can you hand me that cup of water."
I nodded and handed her the cup watching her as she drank some. I knew she was still a little groggy from the medicine the pharmacist gave her once we got home.
"Can I ask you something Zane."
"Mhmm." I nodded my head vigorously before taking the bottle from little beans mouth. She couldn't eat too much since still she's tiny. I held her head and started to burp her.
"Is Milo... Is Milo using again? You can tell me."
I swallowed down before sighing. "Yes.. and it's really bad. He only uses it at night time when you're sleeping so he doesn't get in trouble. To be honest... I don't think he ready to be little beans daddy."
"You don't?" She voice cracked and I knew she was going to cry and Milo was mad at me for saying it but it's true. He's not ready right now.
"I don't and it's only because he isn't taking good care of himself or the system or you or little bean. He went to the bridge lastnight and wanted to jump but he convinced him not to because little bean was coming."
She crying and now I feel sad.
"Please don't cry Anya. Maybe if we go away again for a while he'll get better. He relapsed, we can shake this." I said as she wiped her tears.

"I don't know Zane, maybe little bean and I should leave for a little while, so he can get himself together."
"What?! No... You... you can't. That'll make it worse."
"What do you suggest then?"
"I think if Milo fronts today you should talk to him.. Tell him exactly how you feel." I smiled before laying little bean back in her basinet.
I leaned down as kissed her forehead. "It's going to be ok." I smiled before walking to the bathroom.
Good job Zane, now she's really gonna leave us.
"No she won't. She loves us, but sometimes in order for things to work one person has to leave so the other can get better." I mumbled before opening the medicine cabinet noticing all the medicine bottles were gone.
I sighed and ran a hand down my face. We needed it and now they were all gone, cutting off the bathroom light I smiled at Anya as she held little bean in her arms, she looked so beautiful.
Sitting beside her I grabbed my phone and pressed record.
"Say hey Anya!"
"Heyyyy."
"Little bean say hi mamas. I love you." I said as she grunted a little, she looked like us.
Stoping the video I made sure to save it to Milo could see it when he fronted again.
Fluttering my eyes a little I could feel him trying to front and he wasn't too happy.
"You ok Zane?" Anya asked getting up from the bed.
"Milo's fronting.."
She stood there for a minute before I closed my eyes and opened them and now I was Milo again.
———-
Omniscient.
"Milo?"
"Yeah? It's me." He said clenching his jaw.
"Can you watch little bean I'm gonna go use the bathroom." She said walking over to the bathroom, closing the door behind her he stared down at his sleeping daughter.
"Damn you look just like me." He chuckled a little with a shake of his head, he face then held a blank expression because he knew the conversation he was about to have wasn't going to be a good one. He touched her little hand and her fingers started moving as he smirked a little.
"Lolo?"
"Hm?" He said looking over at her, his heart sank when he noticed the baggie in her hand, her eyes watered as he carefully got up from the bed.
"Where'd you find this?"
"Don't play dumb Milo, please. W-what are you doing?" She sniffled.
"I'm not an addict Anya."
"I never said that..Where's your medication?"

He sucked his teeth and jerked away from her. "I'm not about to argue with you." He mumbled walking out of the room.
"This isn't an argument Milo! You need help! You can't be doing this, we have a daughter to think about!"
He chuckled. "You love her more than me?"
"What?! No! I love you two equally the same Milo, this is our daughter and all I'm saying is that you need help. I... I don't think you were reading to be little beans father."
He squinted his eyes are her. "The fuck did you just say?"
She stood there and didn't say anything as he sniffled and rubbed his nose. "So you think I'm not ready to be a father?!"
"I'm not the only one who thinks that-"
He chuckled before licking his lips. "Aight Anya, you win." He shrugged before going back into the room, grabbing a bag he throw clothes into it before brushing past her.
"Where are you going?!" She said as he stopped at the front door with his hand on the door knob.
"Since you think I'm not ready. Do this shit by ya self. Fuck you!". He grimaced slamming the front door shut.
She stood there before beginning to cry. Walking back into the room, she stared down at M'lani as her tears kept falling. She knew his mood swings were because of him not being on his medication, she wasn't expecting the conversation to go that way.
He wasn't emotional worn out and was taking things out on her.
——-
"She said I needed help and that I wasn't ready to be a father."
"In a way I agree, you are also developing an addiction Milo.."
"I'm not an addict Bri."
"Milo, you've been off your meds for almost a month. You're snapping at everyone including Anya who you said you loved. Why?"
"I don't know." He shrugged looking up at her with his dark eyes.
"Either you get help or kiss Anya and little bean goodbye because of you continue this. You're going to either be on jail or dead."
He sighed and brought his hands to his face as he began to cry. "I love her. I don't want to lose her of my babygirl."
"Then do what's right Milo, I can get you into the rehab facility right now. Just say the word."
We don't need help.
SEVEN SHUT THE HELL UP. DAMN.
Milo please get help. We need it, do it for little bean, for us at least.
Shaking his head he stood up from the chair. " She's gonna leave me."
"I don't think she will Milo.. We actually have an outpatient facility as well. You'll de a detox and therapy so that you won't have to leave them. As long as you get help that's what's important.
A part of Milo knew he needed help, he knew that if he kept going he'd lose everything if he didn't already. He was broken and thought he couldn't be fixed.
"Can I go talk to her first?" He said looking out the window.
"Yes you can, I'll go with you."
"Aight." He said walking out of the office.
As he drove home he contemplated a lot of things and fought with the voices in his head about what he should do. Pulling up to his home he sighed before getting out of the car and going inside with Brianna behind him.
"Hey Anya. Congratulations."
"Thank you." She smiled before her eyes landed on Milo who was staring at the floor.
"I need to talk to you baby." He said as she nodded.
"Ok, we can talk. Let me go lay M'lani down." She said walking toward the bedroom Milo sat on one side and Brianna sat on the opposite side.
"So I'm here with him because he wants to go get help for his drug use. He's just scared that you'll leave him."
"I didn't leave the first time. So why would I leave now."
"I'm sorry baby... I'm sorry I'm hurting you. I'll get back on my meds too."
Wiping the tears that fell from her eyes Anya put her head in her hands. "How long will he be gone? Schools starting up soon and I have to do this online and take care of M'lani." She said in a worried tone.
"He'll still be at home but he'll be detoxing and doing out patient therapy." Brianna as Milo's leg shook, he wanted more of the drug but knew Anya flushed it when she found it earlier.
"Ok, whatever he needs just do it. I want my Lolo back."
"I love you baby."
"I love you too Milo, you know that.."
After their conversation Brianna took Milo to the facility to begin this detox, after the detox he'd be going home to continue his outpatient therapy and weekly wellness checks. Anya was glad it wasn't too difficult to get him to agree with getting help, she just missed the loving, sweet, caring Milo and wanted him back by any means necessary.
