《Little chef》28-It was a gift

On the next day, Su Tang handed the shop over to Aunt Zhou. She changed into clean clothes to prepare to head over to the East district.
Fortunately, she bought new clothes when she was trying to fool her grandmother, otherwise, she would have no suitable clothes.
Su Tang's top was light green with a little embroidery on the cuffs, which looked fresh and elegant.
A white long skirt with a belt around the waist with a perfume sachet tied on the belt.
Her hairstyle was also combed in a current fashionable pattern, which is suitable for young girls. She had a silver hairpin to keep the hair.
Su Tang always dresses neatly when she works on weekdays, but now she is dressed up even more beautifully.
There was no disturbing scar on her head now and she looked stunning with bright eyes as if she was a fairy from a painting.
Su Tang's face was still the same when she kept the painted scar on her forehead. Her face was actually not bad, but the scar just destroyed the beauty.
Su Tang was still thrilled with herself.
She really enjoyed wearing Hanfu and dresses from ancient times!
In modern times, she often wore it when she went shopping. Now she could do it for everyday life as well!
The distance from the West district to the East district was not very close, so Su Tang hired a carriage to take her directly to the entrance of Jing Shui Pavilion.
Why need to walk when we could just sit?
When Su Tang arrived at the entrance of Jing Shui Pavilion, she saw that they built it beside the Yi Shui River and it was very close to the water.
It created a very scenic view.
Only when she entered the building, did Su Tang realize that the restaurants in this era were so spacious inside!
It was not like an ordinary restaurant that you would expect to see filled with tables and chairs when people open the doors.
Instead, it passed through an indoor pool that had fish that could be seen swimming happily in the pool.
No wonder it was called Jing Shui (Water) Pavilion.
After passing through the lush green corridor, she arrived at the lobby.
The lobby seats were separated by a screen. One could hear the sounds of a flute bamboo playing, which created an elegant feeling.
The pool outside the door was artificially created and flowed into the lobby to become streams of water under people's feet.
The lobby on the second floor was decorated even more luxuriously. People could see the water flowing from the river next to the Jing Shui Pavilion in each room and there was a garden on the other side of the restaurant with rockery mountains, which added to the scenery.
The restaurant really exemplifies the name Jing Shui Pavilion.
No wonder it was such a well-known restaurant in the capital.
There will be an endless stream of customers even in modern times.
However, whether a restaurant was good or bad, was not only determined by the environment. Many modern Internet celebrity restaurants were well decorated, but the taste of their food was hard to explain. They eventually closed down because of this.
In the end, the largest factor depended on the taste of the food.
Su Tang was taken to the outdoor banquet in the backyard by the servant. Many people had already arrived at the banquet.
They all looked very well-dressed as well.
"Here!" Huang Yue Tong beckoned to Su Tang.
Jing Liang's eyes flashed slightly, and he walked forward quickly and said, "Miss Su, you are here. "

Su Tang nodded: "It looks so lively. "
"Well, the sea and river food banquet is an annual banquet in Jing Shui Pavilion, so it is indeed lively." Jing Liang explained.
But the servant next to him was sizing up Su Tang.
She didn't even know about the sea and river food banquets in the capital. Which kind of poor ghost was this?
This was a banquet that many officials and nobles of the capital would come to attend.
There was no one important who didn't know about this from the capital.
But the young master was so polite to her, the servant didn't dare to say anything about it.
Su Tag was led by Jing Liang to sit next to Huang Yue Tong.
Jing Liang subconsciously softened his voice: "There are many things I need to do today, so I can't accompany you. However, if something happens, just ask someone to find me. "
"I see. Go do your own thing. With me and Zhu Jin Yuan, Tang Tang will definitely be fine."
It was obviously not the first time Huang Yue Tong has taken part in this fish banquet because she looked very comfortable and familiar.
When Jing Liang left, Zhu Jin Yuan explained to Su Tang: "The current boss of Jing Shui Pavilion is Jing Liang's father. As the heir, he must go to help."
"Every year they hold a sea and river food banquet and introduce new dishes. Gourmets all over the capital will come over."
Only then did Su Tang understand why it is so lively today.
"As for us, we are regarded as invited friends. Generally, only the family members of the restaurant owners will be invited over."
Zhu Jin Yuan continued the introduction by pointing to a middle-aged man at another table, "My parents and Miss Huang's father are over there."
Su Tang understands that this is not only a food appreciation conference but also a business exchange. Not bad.
This was Su Tang's first time participating in a banquet, so she watched the servants bring out a string of fish delicacies. They set the exquisite small portions in front of the people present and they could eat it in one or two-bite.
This way people could taste many dishes without needing to worry about having a full stomach.
Zhu Jin Yuan was introducing his and Huang Yue Tong's father to Su Tang when they heard a commotion from the outside. Even Jing Liang, who had always been calm, was sweating from his forehead.
Zhu Jin Yuan said, "Did some important guests come?"
Seems like someone who could be regarded as an important person in the capital would have an incredible identity.
Su Tang looked through the shadowy screen and saw everyone surrounding someone in the luxury room on the second floor.
Even the heir of Jing Shui Pavilion was squeezed out.
Even Jing Shui Lou's owner, Jin Liang's father, found it very difficult to stand by that person's side. Wow, how important was this official?
Maybe he was still a relative of the emperor? Amazing.
Su Tang was still eating the steamed fish in front of her.
The fish was delicious, and steaming the fish got rid of some of the fishy taste. However, some people who don't like the smell couldn't handle it well because of the leftover taste.
It was still a rare delicacy though, so Su Tang got to try some different flavors.
It must be a distinguished dish from Jing Shui Pavilion.
Seeing that she was still eating, Huang Yue Tong whispered, "Aren't you curious? Maybe he is a great official."

Su Tang shrugged: "That has nothing to do with me. Even if I act curious or pay respect to him, would I get more money or something? Or can I get a few more recipes?"
It seems to be true now that she thought about it.
But Su Tang didn't see the face of the person who was surrounded by people. If she saw him, she would definitely be interested as well!
Qi Tian Yun didn't know why after listening to Su Tang's conversation with that person yesterday, he actually agreed to Shi Ding's request to come to Jing Shui Pavilion as a guest today.
In the past, when Qi Tian Yun's eating problem was not so serious, the steamed sea bass from Jing Shui Pavilion was also something he could eat.
But in recent times, he has become pickier and has never come back to eat again.
This made Boss Jing always uneasy, thinking that he had done something wrong and angered this master.
Unexpectedly, the Marquis came to the sea and river food banquet today!
Young General Shi from Old General Shi's family had also come along. If the news was leaked out, their Jing Shui Pavilion business would skyrocket.
Boss Jing was already thinking about the good days to come!
It was a pity that on this occasion that even if he was the owner, he couldn't lean forward and disturb the Marquis's meal.
The servants from the restaurant have to hand over the food to the imperial guards. Only then could the food be carried in.
After waiting for the people in the room to disperse, Shi Ding casually said, "Marquis, you actually came to Jing Shui Pavilion today? Is it because you suddenly want to eat something?"
With that said, the dishes for the sea and river food banquet were laid out in front of them.
The set was worthy of Jing Shui Pavilion's the sea and river banquet! It was exquisitely and beautifully made and the smell coming from it was amazing.
Of course, these were delicacies in Shi Ding's eyes, but Qi Tian Yun only smelled a disgusting fishy smell.
Besides, he has eaten better fish dishes, so how could this stuff be worthy in his eyes?
Qi Tian Yun thought that the spicy and sour fish made by Su Tang was much better than these.
Qi Tian Yun didn't bother to pay attention to Shi Ding and went to the window to stand. Instead of looking at the river outside, he looked into the garden on the other side.
There were plenty of people at the outdoor banquet in the garden, but Qi Tian Yun found Su Tang at a glance.
While people were socializing, Su Tang just kept eating.
And she seems to be very happy to eat.
Was the food here really that delicious?
Qi Tian Yun frowned when he saw the man from yesterday approaching Su Tang again. The two talked and laughed while they left together.
Qi Tian Yun's expression became terrible, and he whispered to imperial guard Li: "Find out what they are going to do."
In less than a stick of incense, imperial guard Li came back and said, "Fishing is regarded as entertainment in Jing Shui Pavilion."
Qi Tian Yun's expression worsened when he heard this.
Shouldn't this girl know how to protect herself?
Did she go fishing to have fun with a stranger?
But he couldn't go downstairs right now! Otherwise, Su Tang would figure out his identity.
Su Tang was just curious when she accepted the invite. Could they fish by themselves and then cook it to eat?
Sure enough, that was what the pond in the Jing Shui Pavilion was for.
Many people were fishing here. The fishes were all raised by Jing Shui Pavilion, so they were very easy to catch. Many guests felt quite happy to eat the fish they caught.
As soon as Jing Liang handed a fishing rod to Su Tang, his father Boss Jing asked the servant next to him to call Jing Liang over.
"Young heir, the owner asked you to come over because he was looking for you. The distinguished guest didn't touch any food. If you let the distinguished guest leave hungry, it will be over for us."
The two of them were standing very close, so Su Tang had to pretend that she hadn't heard them.
But what kind of distinguished guest was this? He was so picky and didn't even eat anything at all?
Jing Liang was also a little flustered when he heard this. He knew who the person in the luxury room on the second floor was. If that person really didn't eat anything, then this matter would spread out. They knew that the person was very picky, but the common people didn't know. This would lead them to think there was something wrong with Jing Shui Pavilion.
The servant came over to find the young heir because he inherited his grandfather's talent in cooking. He was much more talented than even the current boss.
Anyway, they have to come up with something fast to save the Jing Shui Pavilion.
Jing Liang asked, "Have you asked him why he doesn't want to eat? "
"The news I received about this is that the fish was too fishy, which makes it difficult to eat." The servant was very aggrieved when he heard it. Jing Shui Pavilion had a unique secret recipe that made the dish never taste fishy. This dish was praised by all over the capital.
Upon hearing this, Su Tang said curiously: "What kind of method did you guys use to get rid of the fishy smell?"
The servant immediately said, "This is a unique secret recipe! How could we tell you?"
Even if his servant deed was with the Jing family, he still had to sign the documents to learn about the secret recipe. This woman really knows nothing! He doesn't understand why the young heir invited her over.
Su Tang touched her nose and went back to fishing.
She forgot that in this era, the special method of removing the fishy flavor was counted as a unique secret recipe.
But Jing Liang thought of something.
He asked tentatively, "Last time I ate steamed sponge cake at your house. You said that milk was added to it to remove the fishy egg smell, but milk has a fishy smell as well. How could it be used as a removal tool?"
Su Tang shook her fishing rod and said casually: "Because when you cook milk and add a little salt you can neutralize the stinky taste of unsaturated milk."
"Do you want to ask if it could work for the fishy taste of fish? Yes, you can use this method. You can cook milk carp soup. It's especially good, creamy, and full of flavor."
"I don't know what method you used to get rid of the fishy taste, but generally liquor, perilla, and pepper are pretty much the same. But the next time you are going to cook fish, you can take it out in advance and put it in freshwater to change the water. This can be used to make sashimi, which has a bit of the smell and tenderizes the meat."
As Su Tang was describing the process, she didn't know that Jing Liang and the servant next to her looked at her with disbelief in their eyes.
Both of them were people who work in the kitchen. They were already swallowing their saliva when they heard her recipe just now.
How could she say such things so casually?
Isn't she afraid that Jing Shui Pavilion would steal it?
Su Tang didn't understand this, she only knew that creamy fish soup was really delicious!
All she could think about while fishing was this soup!
"Oh! I caught a fish! Your restaurant is really fun. "
Jing Liang looked at Su Tang and his lips turned upward slightly. Who was Su Tang actually?
How could she be so special?

He has no girlfriend he cannot meet up with his friends because there is another Covid-lockdown and getting a side-job is also unsuccessful. Therefore, he has started to write a web novel. “If I cannot be the main character with magical powers and a harem full of cute girls in real life then I will create my own universe and be its protagonist.” Although that has been his first thought, he neither dare to use himself as the main character’s template nor write a harem story. “I am not that desperate!” he muses to himself. Little does he know that he will get more than he asked for when a mighty existence becomes interested in his story and makes it a reality. Hello, this is my first attempt at creating something like a novel. English is also not my native language, so expect some grammar and punctuation issues. I am using Grammarly to help myself in this regard, but in some areas, the free app cannot correct everything. There is currently no fixed schedule, although I believe that two chapters per week should be reasonable. Depending on how much time I have, I can write more.

So What If I'm Trash? Who Needs Cultivation?!
Qing Shan Long. They say he isn't human. An escaped experiment from some government facility, a reincarnation of a saint, a freakish superhuman. Whatever he was one thing was clear. Be it Music, Martial Arts, Science, whatever he does he excels. He was a whimsical man. A great man. A man who craving for knowledge and excitement knows no bounds, whose collection of books and personal library would even make Alexander the Great green with envy. He donated to all manners of charities and funded many projects for helping the poor and disabled. A self made man who single handedly founded one of the largest corporations in the world, Wen Qu Technologies, whose influences reach from vast fields of expertise. From objects of war such as the newest aircrafts, droids, and body armor; to life saving medicine and vaccines; to even the mundane such as video games and the fast food industry. A legendary example of determination and hard work. He was in his car being driven to a business meeting to disclose a deal that would help ensure the country could have access to clean energy and help reduce the pollution that has been plaguing his homeland for the past millenia when he was assassinated and woke up in a strange new world. How will Qing Shan deal with his new environment where the strong suppresses the weak? From the top of the world he suddenly finds himself free falling to rock bottom. Unable to cultivate, a weak body, and all but disowned by his family. (For those who read comics and watch cartoons, imagine him as being Tony Stark, Richard Reeds, Jimmy Neutron, etc level of 'Genius'. ) My own spin on some familar tropes. Another reincarnation into another world story. The MC will take over the body of someone with a trash body that can't cultivate and will be hated and neglected by his family. Pretty typical so far right? Except there won't be some amazing miracle to heal our MC, there isn't some magical grandpa to teach him some OP thing which only his trash body can use, there isn't a hidden op bloodline, and he is not from a super amazing assassin clan or genius doctor. He isn't the chosen one, he's just a guy trying his best to make something with a crap situation. First attempt at a wuxia type story! I like playing with common tropes, maybe adding a twist, to playing it straight as a classic. I have absolutely no idea where this is going to take me but please do give your input and I'll do my best so that everyone has a say in where our journey will go. I'll admit the only knowledge I have of chinese history and ancient society is from reading light novels translated to english and some old dramas, so if I make some social passe just take it as because this is another world, not exactly an AU where magic and stuff actually exist. I'm also not actually Chinese and will basically using google to help me with names and other such, if I make a mistake please let me know! (Even if you don't like the story or couldn't bare to get past chapter 1 please leave a comment so I can find out where to improve, thank you!)
