《Little chef》18-There will be a good show tomorrow

Grandma Su has been here for a few days and saw Su Tang earn money until the wooden barrel was full. She estimated that she could have four or five taels of silver from the barrel.
Then she saw Su Tang spend all the money! It was all gone in a flash!
It was like throwing things into a bottomless pit to renovate the house. However, she could not say much about this.
There were also the freshest ingredients that Su Tang needed to buy every day and the very best meat.
Did she need to be so picky?
Even the meat for the meat buns must be the most suitable part.
The tea used for boiling tea eggs was also high-end tea.
In summary, they spent money like water!!
Before Grandma Su had just heard of the saying, but now she has experienced it.
Su Tang also bought books. She bought a lot of books and papers from the bookstores at every corner.
She said that her younger brother Hang'er wants to read, and she also wanted to read.
Practicing their writing is a must as well. Grandma Su was already choking when the money was spent.
It was not enough just to buy books. Su Tang took Su Jin Hang to get new clothes together. She said that it was almost summer so of course, he had to change into new clothes.
Hang'er was in school, so he had to buy some new clothes.
According to Su's grandmother's calculation, she basically spent as much as she had.
How could there be such a spendthrift? Then she saw Su Tang giving money to the carpenter again.
These things finally broke out in Grandma Su's heart.
"Didn't you give money before? Why give it again? Are you cheating her out of her money? "Grandma Su couldn't help but shout, and grabbed the money directly, "What are you doing spending money like this every day?"
The busy craftsmen in the shop looked over and grimaced when they heard her shouting.
This old woman does nothing but likes to scold Su Tang. They all saw this while they were watching for the past few days.
The owner didn't say anything, but this old woman talked a lot.
They were naturally referring to Su Tang when they said, owner. They have been working here for the past few days, so they had seen what she had done.
This is Su Tang. She was very young, but she knew a lot of things and was polite to them.
At noon she even gave them a free lunch.
They had to say that the owner's talent for cooking was beyond words.
They also saw something else while they were here.
For example, the grandmother of the owner does nothing, but she likes to eat everything.
She also likes to gossip with the second aunt from next door.
Once someone passed by and heard them whispering about how much money the owner made.
Everyone had respect for this grandmother before, but they had lost all respect for her after being around her for a few days.
They could tell that Su Tang's grandmother's mind was thinking about her granddaughter's money.
However, the owner was still serving delicious food for her. Not to mention the fact that it was a grand meal.
All of them eat lunch here, and every time they get to eat their fill. Their craftsmanship here is even better than that of the chef at Yingchun Pavilion.

But Grandma Su still grumbled about how she didn't give her food.
Tsk Tsk, disrespecting her elders. Did that mean she was right no matter what?
This made the surrounding people refute what Grandma Su said in their hearts.
The involved carpenter said: "The owner knows how to spend money. Besides, how can we cheat her?"
Su Tang asked them while they were working about the woods and the labor costs.
They held the discussion openly every time so people would clearly know. Even if they wanted to deceive her, they would have to find a better way to not lose face.
Besides, who was in their right mind wants to bully these two siblings whose parents were no longer here.
Grandma Su immediately pointed to the carpenter and said, "I know you lied to her for money! From now on, all the money will be under my control!"
Grandmother Su blocked Su Tang's way, but her tone became kinder: "Grandmother is older than you, and I have seen many house renovations. I can do it faster than you, a little girl. Can you still not trust grandmother?"
This was not a matter of belief or not. Su Tang sighed and opened her purse to explain: "If the grandmother is really willing to help, then I will trouble grandmother. I will have them send the mud and sand later, but I still need to pay more money. Please, grandmother, use your money first for the payment. My money in the purse is already empty."
Grandma Su looked at her in disbelief: "How could it be?! In the morning, you obviously made five or six taels of silver! How could all of it be spent?!"
Su Tang pretended to be surprised: "My grandmother has such good eyesight. You obviously haven't touched the money. How do you know that I made five or six taels of silver?"
Wang Wu sneered while he was passing by: "Don't worry about the money of the siblings. You are also an elder, but what do you want to do by looking at other people's money purses?"
The whole room laughed loudly when they heard this.
The workers were also gossiping, but they just didn't say it to the person.
Aunt Zhou had already figured it all out. She seemed to understand why the owner suddenly started renovating the house and spending all the money every day.
The boss wants everyone to see what kind of person this grandmother was.
The more people know about it, the easier time she will have in the future if something happens. She will have evidence that she was not being unfilial.
Grandma Su has been here for three days. All she has done is take her little grandson to eat buns and drink porridge every morning until there is no more.
The sharp-eyed customers could also see it from outside, even if the pair were in the house.
Not to mention that the owner was busy serving her. Even Cong'er and Hang'er had come over to help outside. Meanwhile, grandmother Su and her little grandson were still sitting there and eating.
This alone was enough to show that the owner had filial piety.
Besides, there have been over 20 masons, craftsmen, and carpenters who have come and gone to the house for the past few days.
Not a day went by when they didn't hear Grandma Su's complaints and harsh criticism.
It was even more like feeding a starving ghost when lunch came around.

The food given to everyone by the owner was the same, whether it was what the owner eats or what the workers eat.
However, Grandma Su thought for a while that the table where the workers ate had too much meat. Later, she thought that the workers had too much rice.
In the end, it was the owner who asked her to share most of the meal with her grandson and go back to the yard to eat. It became much quieter afterward.
So whether it was the customers who came to the small restaurant or the workers, everyone just ignored Grandmother Su.
They were polite with her just to give the owner some face.
What they said was full of sarcasm, but they were trying to help the owner speak up for herself.
She looked to be in her 50s or 60s. How embarrassing was it to ask her grandchild, who just turned 16 for money?
This was what made all the workers in the restaurant laugh.
Even Su's grandmother couldn't contain her anger and pointed at these people. "What do you know? You're just workers who came to my house. How dare you make fun of the master?"
The mason was installing windows on the roof and said casually: "You say the boss, but our boss is Miss Su. What does it have to do with you?"
Grandmother Su backed off since they were all strong laborers, so she didn't dare speak anymore. However, she still felt angry in her heart.
Su Tang checked outside and saw that someone from the sweet soup store brought the sour plum soup that she ordered.
"Everyone, take a break and drink some soup to quench your thirst."
Su Tang naturally treated everyone kindly since she hired them.
It's obvious whose side everyone would be on once they saw the contrast between Su Tang and Grandmother Su.
They finished the renovations today, and these workers were leaving.
But many people were still worried about whether this evil grandmother would bully Su Tang and Su Jin Hang.
But this was a family affair, so what could they say? They put the last table in place.
The whole small restaurant had a completely new look. First, two skylights were opened above their heads, so the sunlight came indirectly, making everything dazzling.
They painted the surrounding walls and counters with several coats of white plaster on the first day, and the smell has almost dissipated. The coating job makes the room look immaculate.
The tables and chairs were also custom-made under Su Tang's orders.
It was the design of a modern fast-food restaurant. The tables that could only fit 20 max people are now fine to seat 34 people.
It looked very spacious.
Even the roadside windows were repaired.
The backyard was neatly arranged with waterproof planks.
The kitchen, warehouse, and bedroom doors were all brand new. Su Tang also asked the carpenter to create a few tables, which she could move in a few days later.
Everything was cleaned up, but only the exterior walls and door panels of the small restaurant were painted.
Now, the whole restaurant has been completely renovated, and it looks exquisite.
The carpenter was receiving his payment, but couldn't help to stop and say, "It's really rare for an owner to do things like you. You are very organized and everything was decided without delay."
The people next to him also agreed. They were not deliberately saying this to flatter her, but because they genuinely felt that this was the case.
Only Grandma Su felt sour while standing next to her, muttering.
After they settled the payment, Wang Wu walked over. The tall man looked shy and asked loudly: "Owner, I heard that you are still recruiting people here? Can my wife come over? She's a hard worker, and she can make noodles and porridge."
When Wang Wu knew that the small restaurant was recruiting people, he kept it in mind while discussing it with his wife.
He brought the buns to his wife to try when he told her about it. She was also excited about this opportunity.
Wang Wu's wife was a hardworking person, of course.
Su Tang listened and thought about Wang Wu's work ethic while he was here. He seemed to be a serious type, but she felt like she should test the wife first: "First, have her come over to work for three days? If she can finish her work, then she can stay. If not, I will give her three days of payment. Starting tomorrow, she can come over."
To see how Wang Wu's wife would do, she set up a training period of three days.
Wang Wu was thrilled and thanked her again and again.
After everyone else left, Su Tang and Aunt Zhou still needed to continue cleaning since they will be open again.
Many neighbors would say that they would be too tired after renovating the house to open their shop, but Su Tang had her plans.
Some things have to happen.
In the evening, the small restaurant was finally ready, and Aunt Zhou hurriedly went back to rest. They had to start working at three o'clock in the morning.
Aunt Zhou had worked very hard for Su Tang recently. Su Tang even privately gave her a bonus. She also said that they would be busy for a few more days and would be more when they finished.
Aunt Zhou thought it probably had something to do with Grandma Su, so she didn't ask much.
Aunt Zhou trusted her boss very much after everything that they had been through.
Su Tang put the remaining small money under the pillow along with a newly bought silver hairpin.
There was not much silver under the pillow amounting to about five or six taels that were saved up without letting Grandma Su find out. However, the silver hairpin was worth a lot of money.
How could she spend all her daily income directly? She had to put on a show in front of Grandma to make her believe that was the case.
After renovating the house, there was only a negligible amount of money left.
Su Tang put the money away and went to the study room next door to take a look. Her younger brother Xiao Hang was still practicing his handwriting.
As soon as Su Tang went out, a thin black shadow was seen going inside Su Tang's room. It was rummaging through the room and finally touched something under the pillow. It immediately left with everything it could get.
Su Jin Hang in the study almost screamed, but Su Tang covered his mouth: "Don't be afraid. This trick is called leading the snake out of the hole."
Su Tang's mouth turned upwards slightly as she said that.
Obviously, there will be a good show tomorrow.

NOTE: I, as an 'author' am on a(n) (indefinite?) Hiatus. Without getting into too many details, the person who convinced me to write, who was my muse and my everything, is no longer in my life. I think about writing and I get physically ill and ache in ways that transcend the physical. I want to want to write, but I cannot find the energy. Life events, combined with apparently thin-skin when it comes to personal attacks on this platform, make it impossible for me. The messages, comments, and reviews I recieve(d) were so detrimental to my mental health that I've already removed one story from this website. This one remains up only because the criticisms located in this work are about my writing, and not personal attacks.I just felt like I should put something out there for anyone who is thinking about starting this story. It is not completed. I don't know that it ever will be at this point. I have lost my muse.- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Not everything in this world is natural, and it's only natural to fear the unnatural. Fortunately for Manning, he was natural. Unfortunately, he found himself to be in a very unnatural state. Manning was trapped inside of a gemstone, called a dungeon core. Luckily for Manning, he found himself capable of using his newly found unnatural power to make a nature filled forest. With the help of Cara, his unnatural roommate, and Ash, his nature spirit companion, Manning dreams of covering the continent with the most beautiful and dangerous forest it has ever seen. His only other goals are to protect himself and Cara, and if he could ever remember, recover his memories. This is my first time attempting to write anything.
