Jerome's POV

She pulled back and grinned at me before she slid down my body. She went to walk away, but I growled and pulled her back, dropping my head into her neck. My wolf snarled as she tried to walk away.

She turned to me and frowned before she turned around and placed my arms around her torso. I think she understands that I need to keep her close.

"I'm going after Jarred." She stared. I nodded, of course, she is. He hurt her and for that, he's going to pay. I know she is dead set on this and I know there is no way I'm gonna be able to talk her out of it and in all fairness I don't want to. I want her to have her revenge on the guy who tortured her for days.

"I'll come with you." A girl with light blue eyes spoke out. Bridget shook her head.

"I can't ask that of you you've been here for the longest this is your chance to escape." Bridget mumbled. You can tell how close she had gotten with these people in just a short time. The girl smiled at her.

"Exactly, I know my way around I know where he's going to hide. I know him." She said. I smirked. I like this girl. Bridget nodded before pulling her into a hug. She hugged everyone and placed a kiss on the small child's head.

"Stay safe little one." She whispered. My wolf purred at the sight of her mothering side, images of her baring my pups filled me with this indescribable amount of excitement and joy, I wanted to start a family with her. I wanted to start my life with her but before we can do that, we need to settle the past and that ends with us destroying everything Jarred has built.

Making her way back over to me she hugged me. I smiled at her. My wolf perked up as our gazes met. I'm glad I have her back. It was hell getting in here.

One Hour Ago

We started the infiltration slowly, but it's like they were expecting us and soon enough we were in the midst of battle. I felt this surge of power and I knew it had something to do with Bridget and besides it the full moon tonight so my wolf was extra powerful. I saw a boy he was around sixteen pointing a gun at me. I sped over to him and gripped the end of his gun and bent it upwards. He was shaking in fear. I sighed. "Go home, kid." I growled. He narrowed his eyes at me before he grasped at his belt. He swiped at me his knife slashed at my arm causing me to hiss. I rolled my eyes and punched him. His eyes rolled as he dropped to the floor.

I moved over to the left where I saw Rose she was running towards the building. I went to chase after her but then suddenly I was cornered. Four men stood with their guns pointed at me. I snarled as I started to fight them a short ginger hairs man with buck teeth and bushy eyebrows shot at me. I pulled my body to the side narrowly dodging the bullets. I slammed my hand into his chest pulling out his heart. His eyes clouded over before they became lifeless. His blood splattered all over my chest causing me to grin. The other guys started shooting I used using the body to shield myself. Bullets tore into him splattering me in his blood. I threw his body at one of the guys he fell over and someone else I'm wolf's form tore his throat out. Now I was left with two guys.

I lunged at one of the guys and I snapped his neck so quickly he looked stunned. I saw Brent kill a female who had just stabbed him in the thigh. He looked enraged as he began killing. A prickle of worry shot through me as I saw the void look in his eyes. I felt a blow being landed on my jaw snapping me back to reality. I growled as I ducked another one of his hits. I slammed my fist into his face and smirked as I felt his bones crack. He dropped to the floor. I rushed in the direction that Rose ran in wanting nothing more than to find her.

I swear if they have hurt her I will slaughter anyone who laid a finger on her.

I dodged various attacks dishing out my own harsh hits. I saw someone dragging her inside fury swirled within me as I tried to catch up. But the door slammed behind them.

Once I had managed to break down the door panic bubbled with in me. Rose was nowhere to be seen.

I made my way down the dark and dingy halls a permanent frown on my face. The smell was disgusting, so disgusting it made my eyes water, this place was coated with silver but that was nothing compared to the stench of decay. It was the kind of stench that adhered to the walls making the place that much more vile like a layer of filth one can never wash. I followed the sounds of voices my wolf snarled immediately taking over. Somebody roared as they ran at me, his body slammed into mine throwing me against the wall, my back collided with the hard concrete causing a groan to leave my lips, he slammed his fist into my face twice and pain flared up in my nose. I growled and slammed my elbow into his face. He stammered back a few paces before he sent out another hit, I dodged it and delivered a hard uppercut to his chin he fell to the ground before his eyes rolled to the back of his head. I snarled picking up his unconscious body and threw him back down the hall, watching as he colided with the wall causing it to crack. I sighed and wiped the blood from my nose no doubt smearing it across my cheek.

I stood still trying to listen out for the voices that I was following before I was attacked. I rushed through the halls my pace not once slowing as I rounded a corner I stopped dead in my tracks. Her sweet melodic voice lit up my entire body as I set my sights on her, I couldn't see her face but from the back of her I could tell a lot had changed. Her usually bright fiery hair was dull and no doubt matted with blood. From where her clothes had ripped I could see various cuts and bruises of all sizes all in different stages of healing. I wanted nothing more than to pull her into me and take her right here and now, but I refrained.

Present Time

We made our way through the compound, following the girl I now know as Jessy as she led us down the hall. We stilled outside of a steel door and she nodded, this was it. He was hiding in here. She tapped her ear and then pointed at the door telling us to listen. I nodded and from what I could hear there were ten people in the room I nodded towards Bridget. Her face was litered with bruises and that filled me with this indescribable rage and for some reason it was like I was fifteen again and learning how to cope with the heightened emotions I felt my teeth elongate and my claws extract. Bridget glanced at me worry present in her eyes. She's never felt my anger before, not like this. Since we were mated she could feel every ounce of emotion I had to offer and vice versa. I nodded as I slammed my foot into the door with so much force it flew backwards taking out two of the guys that stood near the door their bodies were smushed against the wall blood and guts were squished against the metal and the walls filling the room with the smell of death. We entered the room and the fight immediately started, Jessy was the first to attack which suprised both my mate and I.

She pulled a guy towards her and used her canines to rip his throat out. He screamed as her teeth sliced through his pale skin, he thrashed violently against her hold. He managed to get away fumbling his way across the room. But that didn't stop her. Others tried to stop her going after him but she snapped their necks like it was nothing. Bridget helped her as she joined in the fight. I set my sights on my first victim. He was a few inches shorter than I but he had way more muscle. He slashed at me with a knife, I hissed as he swiped it across my cheek the silver burned my skin but I ignored the pain that was eating away at my face as I snapped his wrist and I used the knife he was holding and slammed it into his head. He dropped to the floor liflessly. My wolf took pride in the kill, I however felt a little bit of guilt, taking a mans life was never easy, no matter how necessary it is.

I heard Bridget cry out in pain. I turned and saw two men on her, one of them was holding her whilst the other one beat her. I was about to rip off his hands off her when she slammed both her feet into his chest making him fly across the room and into the wall. The guy who was holding her lost his hold on her as she threw her head back into his he yelled out and ragged her hair roughly pulling her to the floor. I stormed over to him and grabbed him by the throat and squeezed tightly. "Let her go!" I roared and he did so immediately "Apologise!" I growled gripping him tighter his eyes watered.

"I'm sorry!" He yelled. I snarled. "I won't touch her again." He screamed I grinned maniacally before I placed my hands either side of his head and snapped his neck.

"You got that right," I snarled, Bridget looked at me a heated look in her eyes I smirked "now isn't the time sweetheart." I said with a wink, she shook her head a light blush spread across her cheeks. She stood up and twirled around slamming her fist into a dudes face. I smirked as she shoved his body to the floor.

"That's enough!" Someone bellowed I turned and what I saw made my heart stop. There beaten and bloodied was Jeremiah and Autumn. The room stilled Jessy looked towards Bridget her face confused. She noticed our hesitation and stopped delivering a well deserved beating to the first guy she attacked, she was drawing his beating out, making it hurt. I wondered why.

"Let my brother go." I seethed. I took a step forward pushing the girls behind me. I stalked forward glaring at him. Jarred let out a hearty laugh before he grabbed a knife and placed it across Jeremiah's throat, fear shot through me like iced water being thrown onto me. I halted.

"So, now that I have your attention, here's how its going to go. You're all going to drop to your knees and stay still or I am going to blow this babies guts all over the floor." He growled causing Jeremiah to snarl.

It all happed so quickly I couldn't comprehend what happened. Jessy attacked him grabbing his gun. It went off and I heard a sharp scream. Autumn brought her hand up to her face, the bullet had managed to miss her head but it tore through the side of her neck. Her hand clutched her neck. Fear evident within her eyes. Jeremiah rushed to her side his hand enclosing on the wound. I didn't know what to do. "You're gonna be okay baby. I promise." He rushed out. She nodded. He picked her up. Bridget had rushed over to Jessy to help her detain Jarred. I rushed to my brother. He was desperate. I placed my hand on Autumn's shoulder. She smiled softly at me before looking at my brother. He was very worried. Luckily the wound wasn't too deep so she wouldn't bleed out right now but if we didn't get her seen too soon she would. I watched Bridget as she clasped some cuffs on him. I stood and walked over to her and ragged Jarred up and slammed him against the window so hard it shattered behind the force causing glass to spray us. "I should kill you." I snarled a deep rage rippling through my entire being. I saw the fear in his eyes, no scratch that I could smell his fear. I held him halfway out of the window wanting to badly to throw him to his death.

"Your kind has no buisness on this earth." He snarled, I rolled my eyes and slammed his had off the wall. We'll deal with him when we're back home.

Autum let out a pained scream, which was followed by a gush of water hit the floor with a loud splashing sound, all of our eyes snapped to her as she held her stomach with her bloodied hands, "The baby..." she gasped out "it's coming." She screeched, I looked at Jeremiah, he looked panicked, too panicked. She was still loosing blood. This doesn't look good.

"Go! We'll finish up here. Get her back to the pack, Go!" I yelled and he seemed to snap out of his daze. Though she wasn't his mate he still loved her, though this will get complicated when he does eventually find her. He will have to reject her putting her through what I went through. For some reason that doesn't sit well with me. Not at all.

Jared got up and tried to escape whilst we were occupied with Autumn, he hissed as Bridget punched him in the face.

We had no idea how we were going to cover this up we may be werewolves but we were not above the law. "Fire." suggested Jessy and I looked at her and nodded, it was a good plan. We'd stack all the bodies of the hunters and blow the place up, then all their labs, research, equipment it would all be gone. Destroyed along with that stupid profecy, I glanced over at Bridget and frowned, she looked exhausted, I wanted to tell her to go home but I knew she'd never abandon us all here whislt there was work to do.

After half an hour of dragging dead bodies into a building I felt down, all this chaos, all this bloodshed and for what? A stupid vendetta against their own kind. In what world is this okay? In what way is all this death necessary? In what world is all this rational?

These questions swam through my mind causing my mood to plumet to a sullen mood. I threw gasoline around the rooms of this wearhouse as if it was some how going to wash away the decay, the death, but it wouldn't this place is tainted with death and destruction but also insanity. Though Jarred is a psychopath, he really believed he was doing good, like he was giving the world justice. I shook my head and continued my task, between me, Brent, Seth and Donte we had finished dousing the placed and it was now time to watch it burn. I stood next to Bridget as I sparked the lighter. I took a look around, everyone was covered in blood. Whether it was from their wounds or their victims it was unknown. Everyone looked grim. I took a deep breath and threw the lighter onto the pile of bodies that were stacked up. I watched as fire engulfed them like fog on a cold winters morning. Soon enough the place was covered in flames warming those near it. I threw my arm around Bridget's shoulders and tugged her away just as it exploded, fire burt into the air crackling echoed into the sky. Smoke covered us all but we didn't speed up nor did we slow down. We just walked.

All of our fallen pack member's bodies were transported back to our pack, where we will have a proper burial, under the correct circumstances. A heavy weight was hanging on all of our shoulders as we made the journey back to the pack, Bridget knew she was going to have to prepare a speech in the drive back to our land. I tried to help as best as I could but this was something she had ro do by herself the words had to come from her. I placed my hand on hers glad to have her back by my side. Tears fell from her hazel orbs a copious amount of guilt flowing through our bond. I held her face in my hands and kissed away her tears. She smiled softly at me before snuggling into my side, I held her and ran my hands through her hair. Soon enough her breathing had evened out and I knew she was asleep. I stayed silent as I held her.

I've missed her.
