《Fixing Each Other》Chapter 33

I could feel the van roll to a stop we had been driving for a few hours, I assumed because it was now dark. The three men who were guarding me tightened their grip on their guns as they pointed them at me. The back of the van swung open and three more men showed up to drag me out. I fought as best I could being restrained. Normally I would have broken out of the metal but it was thick and dipped in silver causing a permanent burning sensation in my wrists. My feet were shackled together, making it harder to walk.

I slammed my elbow into one guy's stomach, but they just responded with a harsh yet painful jab hit my face. By the fine I reached what looked to be a warehouse I had three new bleeding cuts. My lip, my eyebrow and my nose. But they were healing faster than theirs, so I was chipper about that. They dragged me forward. I buried my feet in the soil, trying my best to slow them down, but my only result was pissing them off.

"Just stop resisting. This will be a lot easier on you." A girl spat as she shoved me forward. I kicked out my leg, breaking the shackle before I slammed my foot into the head of the guy pushing me forward. He groaned as I kicked him in the nuts. I pulled to the side the guard on my left released me as I span around kicking him too. The girl came barrelling towards me, a knife in her hands. I used the cuffs on my wrists to trap her hand. I twisted her hand and smirked as it popped out of place. She screamed and dropped the knife, causing it to clatter against the floor. I kicked her backwards as I unravelled the chain from around her hands. She went flying backwards, and I pulled my body to the side dodging a hit from the third guard. I dropped to the floor, and I picked up the knife. Standing I slammed it into his chest and grinned as he dropped to his knees. Blood spurted from his chest staining my shoes. I turned and saw five hunters all pointing their guns at me. I cracked my neck as I bolted forward. I jumped and twisted my body avoiding the oncoming flurry of bullets. I landed on the guy at the end snapping his neck in an instant. I pushed him in front of me using his to shield me from the bullets heading my way. I grabbed his gun and shot at the others. Three went down before I ran out of bullets. I pushed the body forward as I brought my hands up to shield my head a bullet shot through the silver cuff on my left arm.

"Thanks." I yelled as I stabbed the end of his gun into his stomach firing it before I moved on to the next guy. He tackled me to the ground and the other guy pulled me up holding my hands behind my back. The other guy stood in front of me and he got a couple good hits in before I used the man who was holding me as support before I jumped up kicking the man in front of me backwards a few feet. He landed in the floor with a hard thud.

Now for the guy holding me. I smashed my head back into his face causing him to groan and let go o swirled around jumped up and kicked him right in the face he was out. I landed on the ground in a squat. My eyes were glowing as I glared at the new threats that just kept arriving. My chest was rising and falling quickly, my breath was ragged and full of rage, my body shook with anger as they advanced on me.

Soon enough I was surrounded and I couldn't see and out. So I was going to make one. They advanced on me all at once ambushing me. I charged forward killing as many as them as I could.

I felt something hit me across the back of my head.

Hard.

My world started to spin, and my vision blurred. Someone slammed their fist into my stomach causing me to drop to my knees in a coughing fit. And from then on they knew they had won. I was going to fight until I died. And I tried. A boot came into my line of vision slamming into my face. Pain flared throughout my body as I felt them kick and kick. The darkness crowded my vision until I could no longer see. My body fell to the floor and I could feel the gravel stab into me. My consciousness was slipping and fast. That lady thing I saw was a back boot before I was out.

——

My eyes flew open as I felt a sharp sting on the side of my neck. I looked to the left to find a short older lady. She had long brown hair which was tucked behind her ears. She saw I was awake, and she smiled slightly.

"Good morning, I'm Dr Porter," she chipped causing me to furrow my brows. Why was she being nice? "Can I get you anything, food, water?" She asked I truthfully could have done with a large glass of water but I don't know what they could have done to it. As if she sensed my hesitation she walked over to her bag and pulled out a bottle of water. She twisted the cap breaking the seal before taking a large sip as if she was showing my I had nothing to fear. So reluctantly I agreed. She placed a straw in the water since my arms were restrained. I took a large sip and almost smiled as the water soothed my throat.

She just watched me, studying me. I pulled on my restraints wanting to be free. I was getting agitated at the fact I couldn't break them. "I think it's time to put you back to sleep." She mumbled causing me to shake my head.

"No! Don't touch me." I spat as she came closer to me. The needle glistened as it caught the light. Once she was close enough, I slammed my head forward and grinned as it slammed into her nose. She groaned as she stumbled backwards. The needle dropped to the floor and rolled under the counter. Her hand came up to survey her nose. Blood tricked from her nose to her hand. She looked at me with a sad gaze before she called in a guard.

They saw her blooded nose and immediately started hitting me. I sighed and let them beat me. There was no point fighting they'd just carry on for longer.

"Why aren't you saying anything." Growled the blue-eyed guard.

I looked at him with a dark glare in my eyes. "There... is nothing to say." I coughed as he gripped my throat. Once they were satisfied with my injuries, they left and the doctor came back in. She looked at me and sighed.

"I'm sorry about that." She mumbled causing me to scoff.

"Cut the "lets be friends" bullshit and tell me what you want." I snapped before growing at her. She looked around the room and shook her head.

"I'm trying to help. To provide a cure for the curse. I'm trying to help." She announced before writing something on her clipboard.

"Screw you. I don't want nor need a cure. Now. Let. Me. Go!" I seethed trying desperately to escape from the chains. This room wasn't so secure. Sure it had barred up windows and probably semi bullet proof glass. But I could get out. The room itself was small, more like a doctor's office. It was white, and I was strapped down onto a bed. There wasn't any other furniture in the room except a chair which the doctor was sitting on. The door was heavy. And it was bolted shut.

"Let's hope you will be more cooperative later on. Nelson, Brad. Put her with the others." She called out before walking to the door. She handed one of them a syringe filled with a clear liquid that was no doubt a sedative. I thrashed against the restraints as he walked over to me. Without wasting a second he stabbed the needle into my neck. The liquid burned as it entered me making me squirm.

A few seconds later my body felt numb. And my mind went dark.

——

"Look guys she's waking up!" I heard a small voice bark before I felt myself being shaken. I jumped up snarling at them. My heart was pounding against my chest as I frantically searched for a way out. I jumped up and grabbed the guy who was closest to me pinning him to the ground my hands enclosed around his throat, his eyes were wide with fear as I choked him. He clawed at my hands and I just then took in the scene, we were all in the cage. I let go of his neck and backed up against the wall.

"Hey calm down, sweetheart. We're on the same side of those bars." A guy called out. I looked at him scrutinising him. He had blonde hair that was mixed with dirt and blood. His eyes were a dark brown, and they were staring directly at me. He was talk about 6'2/3 and he looked like he had lost quite a bit of weight. I surveyed the room and found that there were four more people in here. Another boy and three girls.

"Where are we?" I rushed out. The smallest girl smiled at me.

"We don't know. Well, not really anyway. The last thing we all saw was the warehouse." She whispered softly. I nodded. I remember that. And I remember killing a few of them before they called for backup.

I walked over to the gate that was keeping us captive and ran my fingers across the metal. It burned my skin causing it to sizzle. I took a moment to survey what I could see. Two guards were posted outside this room they had their guns pointed at me. I took a whiff; they were wolves. But their bullets were regular meaning it wouldn't hurt me if they shot me.

I gripped the bars ignoring the burning of my flesh as I rattled them. The guards took their aim.

"Step back mutt." He growled. I smirked.

"Put the gun down and make me princess." I taunted. The guys behind me gasped at the fact I was still holding onto the silver bars. The guard growled at me as he shot my shoulder. The bullet ripped through my flesh but I didn't even flinch.

I let go of the bars and smirked at them. They knew I was strong, that my wolf was strong.

Talking of my wolf. I couldn't reach her. I could sense her but I couldn't quite make a connection, it was like she was stuck at the back of my mind I turned away from the guards and closed my eyes. Trying to summon my wolf. I concentrated, hard. But it was no use.

"They sedate us. And it sedated our wolves too. She should come back to you in a few hours once the effects of the drug have worn off. Well, unless they stick you again." The blonde called out.

"Who are you guys?" I asked as I looked at each of them.

"I'm Carlson," The blonde said. "That's Evan, Trish, Jessie and the little one is Eiya." He introduced and I nodded.

Evan was around 6'0 and he was broad and muscly. He had green eyes and red hair. Trish was about an inch taller than me and she had black hair, her eyes were ice blue and she looked angry. Jessie was smaller than the rest of us excluding Eyia who was just a child. I could tell by her small frame and child like innocence. Jessie has lii I light eyes and black hair. But Eyia she had golden eyes with flecks of grey surrounding her pupils. Her eyes were clouded with fear as she was hiding her face behind her strawberry blonde hair.

I smiled at them trying to seem less intimidating. "I'm Bridget Sage." I informed causing Eiya to snap her head up.

"Sage? Like the Alpha?" She asked, and I nodded.

"Yes."

"How did they get you? You're an Alpha." She questioned her small voice rising.

"I was ambushed trying to save my friend. They took her to get to me." I informed as sat down leaning my bald against the wall.

"You saved my friend." Trish whispered causing me to glance at her. She seemed to be around 15 maybe 16.

"Your friend?" I asked confused.

"They called him six." She whispered my face lit up as I thought of my little boy.

"He goes by Theo now. He's my baby." I whispered hugging my knees to my chest. "We have to get out of here!" I snapped.

I wanted to go home. I wanted to be with my family, my mate. I wanted out of this crappy dungeon. My anger got the best of me as I sped to the bars slamming my hands against them. I glared darkly at the guards. The sound of the metal clanging bounced off the concrete walls ringing out throughout the corridor. The guard stepped closer to me I could reach him if he stepped any closer. And that's what he did.

He pointed his gun at me and fired a shot into my knee. I gritted my teeth not letting them know they hurt me. I reached forward swiftly grabbing his shirt I pulled him forward slamming him against the bars. He cried out as the silver burned his flesh. I let go and stepped back a triumphant smile on my face.

"You should try soaking that in acid... heard it helps." I smirked as two guys helped carry him out.

"Bridget what the hell! They are going to hurt you! When they take you into interrogation, you're going to wish you never laid eyes on them." Snapped Carlson. He seemed to be my age. I stared at him directly in the eyes and smirked.

"Ive been through much worse, what they do... won't even come close to the pain I've felt." I laughed. He looked taken back at my response, so did everyone else.

Walking over to the corner I slumped down, I dug through the flesh on my knee until I pulled the bullet from my skin I held it up to the light and stared at it.

I guess I have a souvenir.

I sighed resting my head against the wall staring out of the barred window. Well, it was a hole in the wall that had bars through it. I could see the moon and the starred sky. A flicker of hope stabbed through me as I watched the night progress. The others were talking amoungst themselves and Eiya was sleeping on the makeshift bed that the guys fixed together.

How did she get mixed up in this? She's barley even a teenager.

I closed my eyes and concentrated.

"Jerome?" I called out in my mind hoping to make a connection.

"If you can hear this just know I love you." I whispered holding back my tears.

I let go of the need to stay awake and allowed my body a few minutes of relaxation before I drifted off.
