《Fixing Each Other》Chapter 31

I hooked my arms around Rose and Casey's arm and then dragged them out of the room. They squealed causing me to laugh.
"How was it?" Casey gushed. I looked around making sure no one could hear what I was about to say.
"Incredible. He was the best lay of my life. I'm not kidding," I sighed thinking back to it. They squealed again asking for details. I shook my head before I looked at my phone for the time. 5:37 pm. I looked at the girls and sighed. "Sorry to cut this short ladies but I have to go and get our friend back." I mumbled a dark feeling swirling in my chest. Rose hugged me tightly.
"Be safe Bree." She mumbled softly causing me to roll my eyes.
"When am I not?"
"Wait. I just need to know one thing." Casey rushed out as she pulled me into a hug.
"Did you tell him you love him yet?" She mumbled into my shoulder. I pulled back and frowned.
"No, but I'm kinda wishing I did. I thought he was about to say it then obviously he didn't. But I'll talk to you after we get Eva back." I said as I began to make my way to the pack house. I rushed to a bathroom where I wet my face and threw my hair up into a tight ponytail.
"Everyone who is on this mission get to the front of the house now." I ordered through the pack link. I neutralised my face and walked to the meeting point. As I got there I scowled. Far too many people showed up. Including Kimber. I narrowed my eyes at her.
"No. I appreciate that you all want to help but we're trying to be discreet here." My eyes scanned the crowd, and I picked out my select few.
"Jerome, Seth, Donte, Lila, and Tegan, Liam and Brent," I called out. They stepped forward, and I turned to the others a hard look on my face. "The rest of you can scope the perimeter but I do not want to see any of you near the east border, defend the house in case anyone slips through. Do I make myself clear!" I yelled. They nodded mumbling their agreements. "Not you!" I called out to Kimber. She looked at me with shock written all over her face.
"Why not?" She questioned.
"You have no training, you're the walking definition of a liability if you go and I let you and something happens your incompetence is on me. So no! Go inside and get on with whatever you were doing previous to this. Okay?" I spoke authority seeping out of my tone. She looked like she was going to protest but I narrowed my eyes at her. She sighed and walked inside.

I turned to my group a hard look on my face. "Seth I know she is your mate but if you get too emotional I will have someone drag your ass right back here where you will stay, understood?" I barked he nodded. "Okay Lila, Donte. You flag the left, hide in the trees or behind bushes I don't care as long as you can jump into action and use this," I paused to throw them a can of spray. "It masks your scent, do it all of you. Except you Jerome you'll be up front with me. Tegan, Seth you flank from the right. Brent and Liam you two will spilt off one with Seth and one with Donte then you shuffle to secure the back. I do not need to tell you how important this is. We get Eva back even if we have to kill every last one of those trigger-happy bastards. And please for the love of god do not get shot, their bullets are silver." I ordered Jerome smiled at me before slapping Seth on the back.
"Lets get my girl back." Growled Seth. I nodded taking a whiff to see if I could smell their scents and I couldn't. I made them spray again just to be sure. The group took their positions before Jerome and I headed over. Despite my confidence my heart was slamming against my ribcage. If anything, my were to go wrong, it would cost Eva greatly and I wouldn't allow it even if that meant handing myself over.
We walked over to the Eastern border, and I was growing angry. I mean how dare they enter my land and take my friend. That begs the question on how they got into my land in the first place but I'll climb that mountain later.
I saw him, and at least 15 other armed soldiers all standing back waiting for a fight. These were different, they were human. I was glad. They are easier to kill if it came down to it. He noticed us and grinned making me want to punch out all of his teeth. "Hand her over." I barked. He smirked at me before motioning someone to come forward. I watched his movements intensely. Someone stepped forward dragging a half conscious and bloodied Eva through the crowd. I growled as soon as I saw her.
Her face was pale, smudged with dirt and blood. Her eyes were open and you can see she was hurting. She was limping but she could walk. Her clothes were ripped, and she had tape over her hands and mouth. "Let her come to me." I ordered leaving no room for argument. He shook his head.

"Dream on you mutt. Kraud will come over and cuff you and then we'll let her over." He growled. I rolled my eyes but held out my arms. The man I presumed to be Kraud stomped over to me and slammed the cuffs on pulling them on extra tightly so they were pinching my skin. I ignored it and watched as they pointed a gun to Eva's head and told her to walk forward. She did and when she was near us they shoved her to the ground Jerome rushed over to her and pulled her up. He growled at Jarred to which he responded by rolling his eyes. I snarled as Kraud grabbed my arm. I shoved my elbow into his stomach causing him to bed over in pain. I then strangled him with the chain of my shackles. He choked as I pulled his neck to the side and snapped his neck. Jared yelled for his men to attack and they did. As did my pack. They surged out of the trees and ripped apart his men whilst I went for the head. I swung both of my hands forward slamming them into his face he dropped to the ground and I took this as my chance to unlock my cuffs I had managed to get one off before I was tackled to the ground. I grabbed the pointy end off the handcuffs and stabbed it into his neck. Blood splattered onto my face and all over my clothes but I didn't care. I shoved the guy off me before moving onto my next target.
I was killing hunters left and right, more had shown up and we were outnumbered but I kept on killing. Jarred yelled before he slammed something hard onto my head my world span but I could fight off the darkness. And that's what I did. I punched him causing him to go stumbling to the left where he met a very impressive left hook. My fist slammed into his face. He snarled in complete rage and he grabbed something from his belt. He pressed a button, and it lit up. He pressed it to my skin causing an intense burning to rip through me. I screamed as I fell to my knees he slammed my head into his knee causing me to once again see black dots. I refused to give up. He went to punch me but I rolled out of the way wrapping my legs around his arm and throwing him over my head and slamming him to the ground. With one final twist I snapped his arm out of place causing him to scream. I looked around to see everyone fighting. My guys seemed to be winning as they were surrounded by bodies. I looked for Jerome and he was standing in front of Eva, Seth was behind her. Jerome slammed his hand into a hunters chest ripping out his heart.
As if sensing my gaze he shot me a smile before smashing his head into someone else's. I heard Jarred stand and just as he was about to hit me I dived out of the way before I flipped round and kicked him in the face. As soon as he went down I was jumped by several armed men. I fought as best as I could, using all my strength but it was too much. Something stabbed through my arm causing me to cry out in pain. Jared stood before he punched me in the face repeatedly. I could feel my body bruise and I could smell the blood dripping from my eyebrow, nose and lip. Still, I managed a pained laugh.
"That all you got princess." I mocked. They had me and they knew it. He ordered his men to take me back to their base. I could hear Jerome's yells as he tried to come after me. But I knew he couldn't. I was being dragged to a van and as soon as they opened the doors they threw me inside and strapped me down. I screamed and thrashed as I tried to get free. I kicked out my legs my foot collided with one mans face another guy appeared in his place and jabbed me with that same electric stick as Jarred did. My body shook violently as the electricity burned its way through me I could smell the burning of my own flesh and he turned up the voltage. I screamed as loudly as my body would let me trying to get anyone's attention. Unfortunately, it didn't work. I felt someone punch my face hard. My vision blurred and back dots clouded my vision.
And then the world faded away from me and I was thrown into the darkness of my own mind.
