《Fixing Each Other》Chapter 27

I couldn't move. Every nerve ending in my body was screaming at me to stay still. I peeled my eyes open, blinking away the black dots that clouded my vision. The room itself was dark, not an ounce of light anywhere. I felt something move beside me and I bit back a scream. I turned my head to the side and sighed. It's just Jerome.
"Hey." He whispered as he kissed my cheek. I sighed softly. My body was aching all over, but the warmth of his body made me feel better, knowing that he was close enough to hear my heart beat. But despite everything that happened, I was still hurt about what happened with him earlier. I sighed and shuffled away from him, not wanting to feel the sparks or the warmth. I bit back a groan of pain.
You might think I was being petty, but if the guy you had feelings for admitted to you that he was still in love with his ex who made his life a living hell you'd get pissed off too. I was tempted to ask Tommy to move my room, but I didn't want to make a fuss. So I just lay there quietly staring at the wall. My eyes slowly fluttered closed and my body relaxed into a deep sleep.
When I awoke again Jerome was already up. He was looking down at me, a thoughtful expression on his face. I sighed, my eyes blinking a few time's adjusting to the light. I looked up at him, my face expressionless.
"I need to say this and you need to hear this okay?" He mumbled, and I nodded.
"Okay." I breathed.
"When I came here, I was a mess. My past was weighing down so heavily on me it was like I couldn't breathe and then I walked through those doors and saw you. This fiery, badass, powerful Alpha who captivated the whole room and then we recognised each other for what we were and then I grew angry at the gods for wanting to put me through this pain again. I wanted to ignore you and not acknowledge what we were because I didn't want to burden you. But I couldn't do it. I couldn't not know you. What Autumn and I had is nothing in comparison to what you and I have. With her it was always about the desperation to keep her and prove I was the better man but with you it's about showing you that I care and that I want to care. I want to be your last everything. You are everything I could ever need. Ever. And so to answer your question. No, I don't have feelings for Autumn. Not since I met you." He rushed out only pausing for a breath. I looked at him my eyes watering slightly.
Despite his big confession, doubt was still swimming around in my chest. And I think he saw my inner struggle because he grabbed my hand and placed it on his chest so I could feel the quickened beat of his heart.
"This is yours. I am yours." He whispered.
I leant up and kissed his lips lightly I pulled back and looked him in the eyes. We stared at each other before our bodies subconsciously moved closer and soon enough our lips were devouring each other's.
A small moan escaped my lips as his hands trailed my body. He gripped my hips and pulled me closer until my entire body was curled into his. As our lips moved together in sync he has managed to shift us so he was hovering over me he lay in between my legs and out torsos were pressed together. I wrapped my legs around his waist pulling him closer.

He pulled back only slightly murmuring an "I'm sorry." Into my lips. I responded by kissing him more. I broke the kiss to pull off his shirt, and he mirrored my actions he took a few moments to admire my body before he re connected our lips. He kissed down my neck to my chest and made his way down the valley of my breasts to my stomach leaving me breathless. His hands came up to cup my breasts causing a soft moan to escape my lips. He made his way back to my neck sucking on the sensitive skin. His canines scratched my skin before he pulled back to look at me as if he was asking for permission. I grinned and nodded. He kissed my lips before they returned to my neck.
He teased me for a little just nipping at the skin before his hand grabbed mine squeezing it before he plunged his teeth into my neck. A sharp spark of pain radiated through me before a wave of euphoria hit me. My back arched upwards and my eyes closed. Small gasps escaped me as I felt our minds and souls connect like an invisible line of sparks. He pulled back before he licked the wound causing a wave of desire to shoot through me igniting my every sense. He kissed my mark before he kissed me.
I pulled him closer kissing him harder before I claimed him. My teeth broke his skin causing him to groan. His grip tightened on my waist to an almost painful level but I ignored it and continued to claim what was mine. His body was tense for a second before he relaxed. I pulled back and watched my mark form. I licked away the blood, and I heard him moan lowly into my ear, my wolf howled loving the fact we were pleasing out mate. I grinned and kissed his mark again.
His hands trailed my body a hunger burning in his eyes. I bit my lip watching his eyes darken. My hands dropped to his waist, and I worked at unbuttoning his trousers. He kicked them off, and I heard them go sliding across the floor. He pulled the thin blanket over our bodies providing a thin barrier between us and the cold breeze of the room. He pushed my legs open his hands sliding slowly over my thighs. He played with the waistband of my shorts. He hovered over me as he began kissing my neck. He nipped at my mark causing my body to jolt, goosebumps arose over my skin and a breathy moan left my throat. His lips hovered over my ear before he kissed my check.
"You're so beautiful." He whispered I smiled at his sweet words before I kissed him. Our tongues fought for dominance which he of course expected to win. My hands ran down his back leaving deep scratch marks across his tanned skin as his bottom half was grinding against mine. He growled in my ear as I tightened my legs around his waist as his hard member brushed against my core. Causing a moan to fall from my lips.
Our kisses got more heated full of a burning desire to mate. His hands cupped my breast and just as things were about to progress the door was thrown open Jerome pressed his body against mine shielding my nakedness from those who interrupted us. He growled lowly. Warning whoever it was to look away. I had to fight back a moan as he shifted positions, his piece was rubbing against my core making it difficult to concentrate. I turned to the door and my eyes widened so much they could've fallen out of my head.

There at the door stood my sister, Eva, Casey, Jeremiah and Autumn. I relished the look of complete outrage on Autumn's face.
"Get out." Jerome growled glaring at Jeremiah. He smirked before taking his leave. The girls followed him once we were once again alone. I groaned hitting my head off his shoulder.
"I'm never going to live this down," I mumbled he chuckled before getting off me to gather out clothes. I pulled the thin sheet over my body. He tossed me my clothes and watched me intensely as I dressed. "Stop looking at me like that." I mumbled biting my lip. His lips were back on mine our lips moved in perfect sync. His hand came up and grabbed at my throat. What surprised me is how much I liked it. He pulled back, and I bit my lip he winked at me before shoving his clothes on.
Once we were dressed I sat up in the bed wincing as I pulled at my wound I shoved my hair up into a messy bun proudly displaying my mark. I brought my hand up to my neck and traced the small indentation of his mark a love struck smile on my face.
"It looks good on you." He growled pulling me into him. I smiled and pecked his lips before I stood up. I took a deep breath before I opened the door ten pairs of curious eyes stared back at me. I held up my hand making sure no one spoke.
"Before you say anything. Shut up." I shot them down before they had the chance to tease. Rose looked at me a large grin on her face "I will bite you." I snapped glaring at her. She pursed her lips before laughing.
"You look like you were having fun." Rose remarked. I looked up to the crowd. Curious as to what they wanted.
"Why are you here?" I mumbled. Jerome sauntered over placing his arms around my waist, resting his head on my shoulder.
"We just wanted to let you know that we moved the acceptance party to tomorrow night so you had time to recover. Though it seems you're just fine." Eva said with a wink. I glared at her my smile giving away the fact I wasn't actually annoyed.
"In a hospital bed. Classy." Autumn mumbled shooting me a glare. My wolf perked up snarling at her disrespect. I glared at her all traces of humour gone.
"Problem?" I grumbled my annoyance evident in my tone. She took a moment before replying. The air grew tense as they awaited her response.
"It's just I thought Alphas were supposed to have respect for themselves and not sleep around. I mean first your beta and now Jerome. You really get around." She spat. I ran my tongue over my teeth in an annoyed manner. I could feel the tension build up in the room. My wolf was scratching at the surface wanting to be released but I couldn't allow it. She was pregnant, and I'd never put an innocent's life at danger. So I smiled sweetly at her before responded.
"Jealous?" I mused cocking a brow.
"Why would I be jealous?" She asked her temper flaring.
"Because I can do this." I mumbled before turning around and crashing my lips to Jerome's he responded immediately pulling me closer. I pulled back after a few tantalising seconds. I turned to her with a cocky smile on my face.
"I have Jeremiah. I have no room for jealousy," She shot back. Besides, we all know he's still in love with me. So I don't need to be jealous." I took a step forward my wolf was making an appearance. I felt my claws stab through the skin on my palms. Rose stepped up pushing me behind her. I put my hand on her shoulder and shook my head.
"Look Autumn. I get you, you think that I'm some bitch who stole Jerome from you but news flash he was never yours. You rejected him. You chose Jeremiah, you lost out on this amazing guy who literally would have done anything for you. But now he's mine, he bares my mark and soon I'm going to bare his pups. Me. Not you so this thing that you're doing needs to stop." I said sternly.
"Stop What?" She questioned a challenging look in her green eyes. I sighed sharply before I glared at her.
"Stop trying to get a reaction from me because I can promise you, it won't end well for you. Now you are a guest on my land. You're hear purely as a curtesy to Jeremiah. Now we're leaving before I knock you on your ass," I grabbed Jerome's hand. "We have to get you an outfit for the party tomorrow. I'll catch up with you guys later." I said directing the last part towards my friends.
I smiled at them all before I stopped at Jeremiah's feet. I glanced at him he was supporting a tired smile.
"I'm sorry." He mumbled I rolled my eyes giving him a curt smile. Me and Jerome walked out of the hospital hand in hand.
"Sorry about that in there. I err wasn't sure if you were going to snap but you kept your temper in check and I'm glad." He mumbled wrapping his arm around my shoulder. I rolled my eyes with a smile on my face.
"I wasn't sure either." I sighed.
"You know we always seem to get interrupted when it comes to mating." He mumbled smirking at me. I laughed.
"That's true," I chimed grinning at him he smiled back at me his eyes shining with glee. It was one of those moments where your heart speeds up and you feel blessed to be sharing that moment with them. "You need to learn how to control yourself." I sassed shoving him away. He gasped and pulled me back into him.
"You're one to talk." He grumbled his eyes shining. I feigned a shocked look.
"You were the one who started that back there. I was a just an innocent bystander. You, sir took advantage of me." I grinned. He gasped shocked at my response the face that he was making caused me to laugh. His face was scrunched up and his eyes were wide with mock hurt.
"Take that back." He ordered I shook my head.
"No." I teased running off away from him. I heard him growl before he took off after me. I ran laughing through the grounds. I stopped to catch my breath just beside the gym. Jerome came barrelling into me he picked me up up throwing me over his shoulder. I squealed he ran with me in his shoulder. I was bouncing with every step. He stopped beside the pool and my eyes widened.
He wouldn't!
"Don't you dare!" I growled.
"Take it back." He ordered I shook my head. I felt his hand connect with my butt. I gasped.
"I'm so not taking it back." I mumbled punching his back lightly. He laughed and before I could protest I felt myself flying through the air I screamed but it was cut short as I was engulfed in water. The coolness of the pool shook me. An idea formed in my head as I resurfaced. I began coughing and flailing around in the pool. The water splashed all around the place. His face dropped as I uttered my next words.
"I... I can't... swim!" I called out faking my panic as I stopped moving submerging myself in the water. I knew I could hold my breath for an impressive amount of time so that's what I did. I resurfaced just as he shrugged off his shirt and shoes. He jumped into the pool I grinned and he went to grab me. As he did, I pushed his head under the water dunking him without warning. I swam away from him laughing.
"That was cruel." He grumbled running his hand through his wet hair. His muscles flexed as he pulled himself out of the pool. His hand came out, and I took it he helped me out of the pool. I laughed at him before I kissed his cheek. He smiled at me. I sent him a wink before I shoved him back into the pool. I walked off towards the pack house with a large smile on my face.
