《Fixing Each Other》Chapter 13

Jerome and I walked back towards the pack, his hand was holding onto mine tightly and it felt so right, like it was meant to be. He stopped for a moment, causing me to look at him. He bit his lip awkwardly.
"Please don't hook up with anyone else." He grunted I sensed the jealousy in his tone and it made me smile I laughed lightly before I turned to him with a serious look on my face I looked him up and down, burning the image of his body into my mind.
"Does anyone include you?" I flirted. His eyes widened, and I fought back a grin.
"Erm," he paused "well I-I- err-" he stammered causing me to giggle.
"Relax Romeo I was kidding." I laughed at his shocked expression. He rolled his eyes with a grin on his handsome face.
He let go of my hand before he slung his arm around my shoulder and pulled me into his side. We walked silently towards the pack house; the silence wasn't awkward or weird. We were just enjoying each other's company.
We arrived back any the pack house we walked to the side of the house an idea popped into my head. "So, since you're my mate, it's only appropriate that I ask you this." I said shyly.
"Listen Bridget, I hope you're not proposing. I mean we've only just met and I mean you know it's a bit fast I mean after that comes children and of course I wouldn't mind getting a bit of practice first. If you catch my drift." He joked, sending me a cheeky wink, causing me to scoff.
"Shut up." I snapped playfully rolling my eyes at him, he was grinning at me "as I was saying do you want to move onto my floor. I would say you could share my room, but we're taking things slow and I don't want to rush this so. Yeah. That's the question." I rambled slightly. He hummed.
Is he going to say no. He better not say no. My wolf piped up, causing me to shush her.
"Of course." He agreed, causing me to smile on the inside. Okay, then.
"Oh, and I have someone to introduce you to. I promise you'll love him." I added excitedly.
"Him?" Jerome asked, causing me to smirk.
"Yes, him."
"Are you guys close?" Jerome asked, his voice had gotten lower. I smirked.
"Incredibly. He's my other boyfriend." I teased, causing him to growl. I laughed.
"You think this is funny," He grunted as he stood in front of me backing me against the wall trapping me between him and the wall. "Because I don't." He stated as he lifted my chin up so I was staring into his eyes, which were clouded with jealousy.
"Your jealousy is cute." I smirked. He took a step forward, pressing his body against mine. His eyes dropped down to my lips as he debated on whether to kiss me he smirked as his face neared mine he paused his lips brushed against mine ever so slightly. Our eyes connected and my heart started beating quicker and quicker.

"Kiss me." I whispered my voice was hoarse. His face lifted into a smile as he tipped my head back and kissed me, I responded immediately smiling into the kiss. My heart picked up its pace until it was beating wildly in my chest. His hands dropped to my hips and mine were tangled in his hair. He pulled back and kissed down to my neck, I felt the sharp scratch of his teeth against my skin causing me to gasp it was like an electric shock was pulsating throughout my entire boy and a chill racked my body causing me to smile. Just as I thought it would happen he pulled back I stared at him all reasonable thought had dissipated in that moment. I blushed, looking away from his intense stare.
"You were going to let me?" He asked, slightly breathless.
"No." I lied.
"You didn't say that just." He remarked I rolled my eyes and pulled him back into my embrace and his lips back to mine. I wrapped my legs around his waist using the wall to keep me up causing him to smile into the kiss. I heard someone approach, and I was going to pull back, but Jerome had other plans. He slipped his tongue into my mouth, causing a wave of arousal to shoot through me. I moaned slightly, causing him to push me harder against the wall.
"Alpha - oh! Oh God! I'm sorry." They said causing me to push Jerome away I got down, and he turned to the left facing away from whoever had arrived I blushed at the embarrassment seeping in I collected myself and looked at who had interrupted us.
"Oh Tommy. Erm. Hi." I said awkwardly I heard Jerome snigger before he put his arm on the small of my back he looked at Tommy assessing him.
"I can come back later?" He mumbled I was about to reply when Jerome slid his hand down my back towards my butt, squeezing it. I elbowed him in the side, causing him to laugh.
"No Erm that won't be necessary. What do you need?" I stated slipping into a serious state, Tommy cast a glance towards Jerome before he looked back at me.
"Brenton is asking for you." He said hesitantly. I immediately scowled and Jerome's body stiffened. I shook my head.
"I don't want to see him right now." I said pausing "but if you could tell me how he is that would be great." I mumbled he's still my friend, even if I'm pissed at him.
"He's fine healing nicely. You beat him good." Tommy smirked, directing that last part towards Jerome. He hid a smile, but I could see the corners of his mouth twitch upwards.
"Oh, Tommy, while you're here. What's your professional opinion of Seth." I asked. He thought for a while before he spoke.
"Impeccable fighter, he's a decent guy, and he's loyal to a fault," Tommy responded causing me to nod. "May I ask why?"

I sighed, he will find out, anyway. "I'm replacing Brent."
"What."
"What."
He and Jerome said at the same time I shrugged. "He's too much of a liability I mean look what happened today. No offence, Jerome. But I can't keep him as my Beta I mean his professionalism is shot as well as his credibility it's the right thing to do and as you said Seth is in a good position he'd do well as Beta and I've noticed he's mated. This will be an excellent opportunity for him." I reasoned. Tommy nodded.
"I can get Seth to meet you in your office in an hour." Tommy suggested I nodded. He knows me too well.
"In fact, I'll come with you back to the hospital so I can tell Brent myself," I paused and turned to Jerome "I'd say you could come with me but you beat the hell out of him and I don't want him to blame this on you. You can hang out in my room, feel free to shower and eat or something." I said softly he nodded I dug my hand into my pocket and pulled out the set of keys to my floor they jangled as I handed them over. "Oh, and don't mind Theo. I'll explain later but please if he needs anything would you mind?" I asked sheepishly.
"Of course not. I'll help him out and don't worry, I won't ask questions."
I smiled brightly at him before getting on my tippy toes to kiss him. After a few seconds, I pulled back and waved slightly before I turned and made my way over to Tommy. Once we were out of earshot, he turned to me with a large smirk on his face. "So new boyfriend, huh?" He teased. I blushed again.
"Sorry you saw me like that. My private life isn't something I want blasted over the pack, but I suppose I should explain." I remarked before he laughed.
"Oh, no, just because I saw you eating each other's faces doesn't mean you have to explain. No course not." He teased, causing me to groan.
"He's my mate." I blurted out, causing him to choke on the air he was currently breathing.
"You have a second mate. Bridget, do you know how rare that is?" For He exclaimed, causing a few people to look at us oddly.
"I'm aware now quieten down." I mumbled, shushing him. He turned to me with a large grin on his face. Unexpectedly, he pulled me into a hug.
"I'm so happy for you Bree."
I smiled hugging him back "thanks Tommy. Now let go you stink." I joked, flicking his ear. He pulled back and rolled his eyes at me.
Once we got to Brent's room my anger at him was made clear.
"I'll clear the hall so people don't eavesdrop."
I nodded. It's probably for the best.
I entered his room and shut the door forcefully behind me, gaining his attention.
"Bridget." He said, but I put my hand up to shush him.
"I cannot believe you," I growled, glaring at him. His face was littered with bruises and his left eye was swollen shut, a deep bruise surrounding it. His lips had deep cuts on both sides and there was still some blood coming from his nose. "You embarrassed me, you made me seem cheap. Using details of my sex life to get a reaction from Jerome. What the hell were you thinking!" I yelled he looked away not meeting my eyes.
"I was pissed at him because I love you and he has you." He confessed, causing me to scowl.
"You can't love me. You don't treat the people you love like that," I spat "the agreement was simple. Sex. That was it no strings, no feelings, nothing. And this is exactly why. You're unbelievable. You used intimate details about me to get back at me? Because you were jealous! I can't believe you!" I exclaimed as I shoved the chair into the wall, needing to direct this anger somewhere that wasn't Brent's face.
He scoffed causing my anger to flair again "you will respect me. I am your Alpha, treat me as such." I growled, my wolf surging forward slightly.
"And I'm your Beta. I deserve your respect too." He grumbled.
"No, you're not. As of today, you are no longer the Beta of the Indigo Paw back. I'm sorry Brent you did this to yourself. Your actions today were completely and utterly out of line, and I cannot continue to allow you to keep the position." I informed him, my tone emotionless.
His face dropped, "are you serious. How- I mean, you can't do that." He stammered. I sighed, sitting down on the most uncomfortable chair in the world.
"It's already done, Brent. From now on you're a warrior and you're on probation." I mumbled.
I frowned at his sad expression.
"And if you ever share details to anyone about what happened between us again, our friendship will be over. Done." I shot back forcefully before standing up to leave.
"Bridget," he called out, causing me to turn back. "I'm sorry." He whispered. I smiled sadly.
"Me too, Brent. Me too. Get better soon." I whispered before walking out. A tear rolled down my cheek, but I quickly wiped it away.
