《Fixing Each Other》Chapter 11

I awoke from my nap around a half-hour ago, and I had this grim feeling in the pit of my stomach. Something was going to happen, something bad, and it was making me anxious I switched on my computer that was sitting on the small, worn desk in my room and clicked onto my email and began looking. Looking for what? I wasn't sure just something that might explain why I was feeling this angst like I don't know maybe a declaration of war or a hunter problem but there was nothing just the email I had off Carlos when he transferred me the money he stole from me a few weeks back and a few non-important emails that I have yet to reply to.

I threw on a jacket because I was feeling cold suddenly. I left my room and opened Theo's door. He was sitting at his desk colouring in a picture.

"Hey buddy," I said groggily, "did you eat?" I asked as I walked over and sat on his bed. He turned to me and nodded.

"Yeah! Gloria made something called spaghetti. It was really nice." He said excitedly as he ran over to me and jumped onto the bed next to me. I smiled and pulled him into my side where I kissed him on the cheek.

"So you told me about your mommy, but what about your daddy? Do you know where he is?" I asked unsure if I wanted an answer Theo shrugged in response.

"I don't know who he is. My mamma never said." I nodded, so he's not in the picture. Okay. Good.

"Do you want me to show you around the pack?" I asked, smiling at him. His green eyes lit up in excitement.

"Yes! Oh please, can you!?" He begged giving me his best pout, I pretended the think about it which made him pout harder.

"Hm I don't know... have you been a good little wolf?" I asked as I tickled him. He started giggling uncontrollably his little laugh bounced off the walls making the entire place seem lighter.

"Y... ha haha... yes momma," he said between laughter, "I've been good... haha." He barked out through his fits of giggles, I stopped tickling him and pulled him into me with a large grin on my face.

"Okay, then lets go," I rejoiced as I stood up pulling him up with me. He walked beside me, gripping my hand. "So the floor we are on is my private floor, meaning only special people can come up here." I explained as I gave him a tour, pointing out the kitchen, the spare rooms, the office I sometimes use. Then I showed him around the second and first floor explaining that there were bedrooms, playrooms, nurseries on each floor and then we came to the ground floor where I showed him the main dining hall, the kitchen, the living room/communal area. I also showed him the common rooms and where my main office is.

"So that's the pack house," I said "over there is the hospital where all the pack doctors work and that building at the back I'm not sure if you see it but its right back there," I said pointing to the patrol office as well as the pack dungeons. He nodded. "That's where all the bad people go, so I never want you to go there, okay?" I chided. He nodded again, and I smiled. "Over there is a gym where people train to become big and strong so they can protect the pack." Just as we began walking towards the gym I saw a figure running towards us, I pushed Theo behind me shielding him with my body.

"Alpha! Alpha, please help!" Sarah yelled as she came to a halt right in front of me. "It's Jerome and Beta Brent he's... he's..."

"He's what? Spit it out." I said worriedly.

"He's going to kill him." She finally spluttered out. I gasped.

"Take Theo back to his room," I said and then turned around to Theo, "Baby go with Sarah I'll be back soon." She picked him up and rushed towards the pack house. I rushed over towards the gym once I got there I came barrelling through the door causing to smash open. Once I had collected myself I gasped at the sight.

I had no time to be shocked. I slipped into alpha mode and stormed up to the two idiots. "Let him go," I said sternly. He didn't even flinch, it was like my command just bounced right off of him and he just kept hitting. Every blow more gruesome than the last Brent was unconscious, I could tell by the way his body was limp he looked... dead. "Jerome!" I yelled slightly panicked I reached up and placed my hand on his shoulder only for him to snarl at me. The rage in his eyes scared me. And nothing scares me. Ever. I could feel the rage coming off of him in waves. He sent a hard blow to Brent's face and I'm sure I heard a crack as blood spurted from his face, wetting my face. Something is definitely broken. He looked completely feral, like he wasn't in touch with his humanity anymore and it terrified me, "Jerome baby, please come back to me." I whispered as soon as the words left my lips. It was like something clicked inside him. He dropped Brent, and he came crashing to the ground, blood splattering from the impact. His blood stained the floor, his face, Jerome's fists and clothes, my clothes, it was everywhere.

"Derek. Alex. Get him to Tommy." I said still in shock they seemed to be too because they just stood there "Now!" I yelled. Jerome stumbled back, and he looked at me, his eyes searching for mine. I was still fearful, but only slightly. Though he was my mate. He was unpredictable and I think he caught on to my inner feelings because he looked at his hands and the blood everywhere. He shifted and bolted out of the gym.

I wanted to go after him, but I knew I had a duty to find out what the hell happened here. I turned to my people who were all staring wide eyed. I glared.

"What the hell happened here," I growled out and what pissed me off was nobody said anything they all looked at the ground "I asked you a damn question! Now somebody better tell me before I loose it." I seethed. Casey stepped forward and nervously glanced back at the guys.

"Brent offered to spar Jerome, and he err- said some things... crude things to Jerome, and then he snapped and attacked him." She admitted causing me to frown.

"Well, what did he say?"

"I err shouldn't-"

"What did he say?" I growled. She scratched the back of her neck awkwardly before she went to speak.

"He asked him how he tasted as you... you- you err loved to swallow." She mumbled awkwardly. Shock rippled through me and I glanced at the people in the room wide eyed, my embarrassment turning into anger. I growled.

"I am going to murder him," I spat as I went to exit the gym but Drake grabbed my arm I pulled out of his grasp grabbed his arm and pushed him up the wall bending his arm back. "Never lay a hand on my like that again, Drake." I mumbled coldly.

"If you go after Brent you might actually kill him. Jerome beat him badly really badly. You'd regret it if you killed your oldest friend." He grunted out I growled pushing myself off him I sent him an icy glare before I turned around to the rest of the group still glaring.

"Nobody is to speak of what happened here today. Do you all understand," I commanded in my Alpha tone. They couldn't disobey me now. I nodded and went to walk out the gym before I did so I turned to Casey and nodded "thank you for telling me."

She nodded, and I left I needed to find Jerome.

I left it a while before I followed Jerome out into the woods; I realised when I walked out of the gym that he needed to calm down. Tommy mind linked me, telling me Brent was beat up pretty bad, but he would be fine. Sore, but fine. He's lucky they took there him before I had got the full story. I walked towards Sarah and tapped her on the shoulder she turned to me, a weary smile on her face. "Thank you for getting me." I mumbled with a smile that was incredibly forced.

"No problem, Alpha."

I made my way back to where Jerome had bust through the window. Broken glass covered the floor, each shard glistened as the light hit it. I crouched to the ground and inspected it. Some of this glass had blood on it. He was wounded. I placed my hand in the soil, feeling the earth's energy it was electric. Closing my eyes I took a deep calming breath whilst opening my mind trying to search for him I called on our weakened bond and soon enough I had made a connection. I could feel my subconscious pull me into his direction.

"He's near the eastern border." My wolf chimed, eager to see our mate, eager to ease his pain.

I took off in that direction, letting my subconscious guide me to him. I felt an enormous wave of release shudder through me as I saw him slumped against a tree, his head was hung low. His disappointment in himself was obvious.

I sat down beside him and hugged my knees to my chest; I said nothing as I let him process what he needed to.

Until next time xo
