I woke up and rubbed my eyes, sitting up getting ready to stand up from the bed but the door barged open, i looked up to see Toni rushing in and looking at me, i looked at him confused. "Are you okay?" I asked.

He sighed and looked at me. "Did you read the letter?" He asked, the letter i was suppose to read it.

I shook my head. "I read some of it in the car but i arrived home so i couldn't read the rest of it." I said in a low tone, looking down at my lap.

I heard him move around. "Layla there is something important in that letter." I looked up at him, how does he know? Did he read it?

I stood up from the bed. "Did you read it?" He stepped closer to me.

"I have to tell you the truth that was in that letter." He read it. "They lied, the truth is you were-" He was cut off by Anna's voice.

"I'm back!" she walked into the room with a short dress on, like really dress, but i'm not that type of person to judge, she can do whatever she wants, she flashed me a fake smile acting like she never threatened me earlier, but i always forgive people, which i will forgive her and act like it never happened either. "Was i interrupting something?" I saw Toni clenching his fist.

I shook my head, flashing her a fake smile. "No, you weren't." I stepped away from Toni.

Toni turned around to face her. "What did you need?" He asked not in a polite way.

She frowned then put on her fake smile again. "Your dad said to get ready because we are going to Greg's company party." She was gonna walk out then turned around. "Be ready by 6." She gave me a mean look then walked out.

I walked towards the closet. "I need to get ready." I said then shut the closet door, looking through the dresses, is it long dress or short? I grabbed my phone and texted Katherine should i wear a long or short dress.

After a few minutes she replied with a long dress, i went through my long dresses and found a dress that looked good. I walked out and see Toni on the balcony, i put my dress on the bed and walked towards the bathroom door, turning around looking at Toni one more time then walked in.

I shut the door and locked it behind me, stripping off my clothes and throwing them into the dirty laundry, i turned on the shower and got in washing my body and putting shampoo on my head, i rubbed my head then went under the water, washing it. After i was done taking a shower, jumped out and wrapped a towel around my body.

I plugged in the blow drier and blow dried my hair. "I hate you, I love you, I hate that i love you, don't want to but i can't put nobody else above you." I sang while unplugging the blow drier and straightened my black hair. Once i was done with my hair i grabbed my makeup bag and did my makeup. "I hate you, i love you, i hate that i want you, you want her, you need her and i'll never be her." I hummed the rest of the lyrics as i was finished with my makeup.

i was finally done, i went towards the door and opened it peaking my head out looking around making sure, Toni wasn't there and he wasn't i ran out grabbing my dress, i looked to see the closet door is closed so he is in there, i ran in the bathroom shutting the door and locking it again.

I put on my underwear, i didn't wear a bra because this dress is a no bra dress, i slipped on my dress and tried zipping the back all the way but it wouldn't zip, i tried reaching for the zipper but i couldn't, maybe Toni can do it, i unlocked the door and walked out, to see Toni doing is bow tie.

He turned and looked at me, i looked at him nervously. "Can you zip my back all the way." I asked looking down at my feet.

I glanced up to see him coming towards me, he turned me around and moved my hair out of the way, i shivered when his finger brushed against my skin as he zipped it up, i felt his breath on my neck, once he was done zipping it up, he moved away and walked towards the mirror fixing his hair.

I walked into the closet room and grabbed a heart shaped necklace, putting it around my neck and grabbed a diamond bracelet my mother in law gave me and put it around my wrist, i went over and grabbed my sparkly pumps, slipping them on my feet.

I turned around and looked at the body length mirror, straightened out my dress and let out a breath, i turned around and grabbed my clutch then walked out of the closet room. "Are you done?" Toni asked with no emotions, I nodded. "Then let's go." He replied coldly.

He walked out of the room with me behind him, once we reached the stairs he stopped and looked at me. "Pretend we get along, remove that frown off your face and put a smile." He gave me a cold shoulder like always.

He grabbed my hand and interlocked it with his, we walked down the stairs with a fake smile on both of our faces, everyone was smiling except Anna and Sara who had a fake smile on their faces, just like me and Toni, we made it towards the last step.

Jennifer came up to me and cupped my cheeks. "We did good Jordan, look how beautiful she looks!" She exclaimed happily, i blushed and looked down.

Jordan walked up to Jennifer and wrapped his arms around her waist. "We did, but you don't have to kill the poor girl." He said making everyone laugh expect Toni, Sara and Anna. "You look beautiful." He complimented me.

I flashed him a real smile. "Thank you." I thanked him shyly, i noticed Toni was still holding my hand.

Jennifer jumped up. "We have to go before we are late." She said then everyone rushed outside, while me and Toni took our time, we walked up to Toni's silver Lamborghini, he opened the passenger seat for me, acting as if he loved me because of his family, once i got in he shut the door and came towards the drivers seat and got in.

He turned on the car and drove off to the company, while everyone else followed with their own car, inside my clutch vibrated, i opened it and pulled out my clutch to see i received a message from a unknown number, i looked at it confused and read the message.

Unknown number: If you don't find out the truth fast, someone who wants to see you so badly will die, read the letter it important to you and two other people.

I read over the message again, who will dies? Who wants to see me? I was about to show Toni but we made it to Greg's company party, Toni got out and flashes of camera started going off, he walked towards the passenger side and helped me out, he grabbed my hand and lead me out of the paparazzi.

While we were walking out they were shouting out questions. "Mr and Mrs. Mahfud! Do you hate each other?!" Someone shouted, hate that's a very strong word, i'm not the type of person to hate someone. "Mrs. Mahfud are you pregnant?" Someone else asked. "Mr. Mahfud what happened to your last girlfriend?" Toni clenched his jaw and squeezed my hand when someone asked that.

We made it towards the company's door, we walked in and see a lot of people drinking, eating, dancing, talking, and stuff like that. A man came up to us, he had brown hair and brown eyes, he looked like he was in his late 20s. "Mahfud family welcome!" Jordan walked up to him and shook his hand while Toni and his brother did the same.

"Nice to see you again Greg." Toni said with a smile, this time it was a real smile.

Greg turned to me and smiled. "I see you got your wife here." He flashed me a polite smile, which i returned one, Toni laughed and wrapped his arm around my waist. "She looks gorgeous, Toni hopefully you are treating her well if you know what i mean." He scanned me up and down licking his lips looking at me with lust, i moved behind Toni feeling uncomfortable and violated.

Toni pulled me closer to him. "I'm treating her fine Greg, now if you'll excuse me and my wife are going to go get some drinks." he grabbed my hand and lead me towards the drink table, he grabbed two glasses of wine, he handed me one.

I shook my head. "I don't drink." I looked into his eyes.

He nodded and put the glass down, and grabbed water. "Here drink this then." I took the glass cup from his grasp.

"Thank you." I whispered, he looked at me and nodded, i took one sip of the water and placed it on the table.

I looked around and noticed a lot of girls were staring at Toni with lust and hunger, while some were looking at me with a death stare, throwing jealous looks my way, i hate this attention, I've never been the type of girl that wanted attention. "What's wrong." I looked up at his beautiful eyes.

I sighed. "Nothing." He rolled his eyes nodding.

He knew i was lying. "Stay here, i will be back." I nodded, he flashed me one last look then turned away and walked towards this beautiful girl with blonde hair and green eyes, she had a tight black dress on which looked gorgeous on her.

That's probably someone he would hook up with tonight, i sighed and grabbed the glass of water drank another sip then put it back on the table, while i was looking around i saw someone wearing a black beanie and hoodie at the entry area staring at me, they mentioned me to go over.

Should i go over? Will Toni notice i'm gone? probably not because he hates me, i looked at Toni one last time and noticed him talking to the girl like he will never be bored of her, i sighed and frowned, i walked towards the person once i was almost near them they went outside, i followed them once i made it outside i couldn't see anyone.

I walked a little further but then i felt someone cover my mouth and push me to an alley way pinning me to a wall, i tried screaming but i couldn't. "Hey, hey shhh." It was a girl. I kind of calmed down a bit, just a bit. "I'm gonna take my hand off you better not scream." I nodded.

She took her hand off, i looked at her confused. "Wh-who are you?" I asked confused.

She took off her mask, she looked like she could be related to me. "I can't tell you, but i have to tell you something important, something that is written in that envelope-" I cut her off.

"Why is the envelope so important? How do you even know about it? Who are you? And who was that woman that told me to read the letter?" I asked all the questions that was in my mind these past few weeks.

She covered my mouth. "If you let me talk maybe i could, look your parents or whatever they are, they have been lying to you! You have been living a lie your whole life." She looked down frowning. "The truth is they are not your-" She got cut off by Toni's voice.

"Do you know where my wife is?" He asked one of the guards outside, they shook their heads.

He sighed. "Sorry sir we just came." They said making him clench his teeth.

The girl looked at me one last time. "Go and before he faints because of how worried he is, before you go read the envelope! It's important for you!" She said then pushed me out of the alley.

Toni hadn't seen me yet. "What kind of guards are-" I cut him off, stopping him from yelling at them, i don't want anyone getting yelled at because of me.

"Toni." I called out his name stopping him from yelling at them, i walked up to him. "You don't need to yell at them, i was just getting some fresh air." I said, he looked at me with anger, i looked at the guards. "Please go back in." they nodded and walked back inside.

He grabbed my arm, making me face him. "Are you crazy? Didn't i tell you to stay where you were? What if you would have go kidnapped?" He said making me look at him, did he care? Why would he care anyways? He hates me.

I took my arms out of his hold. "I'm fine, so you don't have to look for me." I said then turned away looking at the alley one more time to see she wasn't there, i sighed and walked back inside.

Toni followed me, stopping me in front of the closed doors, he grabbed my had and opened the door leading us down the stairs, once we made it to the bottom of the stairs, we went towards his parents who were looking at Greg on stage, we stood beside them, Jennifer looked at me and flashed me a smile, i returned one back then turned my attention to Greg.

He looked at everyone starting his speech. "I would like to say thank you all for coming here, it means a lot to me and my father. This company has been alive since the 90's which was awesome! my father has gotten sick so he passed this company to me and i'm not gonna change anything about it because my father made this himself and he wouldn't want me to change anything, i'm thankful for everyone who supported me and still is thank you!"

He finished his speech, making all of us clap, the blonde headed girl Toni was talking to earlier was staring at Toni with a big smile, but her eyes were written lust, hunger and love, yes love! I turned and looked at Toni who was looking at his wedding ring.

What was that girl gonna tell me? it's about my parents and what lie was a living in? I snapped out of my daydream and noticed i was looking at Toni who was looking at me, i looked away and pulled out my phone from my clutch. "When we were in the car i got this message." I showed him the message.

Toni took my phone from my grasp and read the message, he gave me my phone and was about to say something but was cut off by that girl with blonde hair. "Hi Toni." She said making him turn around and stand beside me.

Toni looked at her with a big smile. "Hi Serena, i would like you to meet my wife Layla." She looked away from Toni and looked at me with a shocking and jealous look. "Layla this is my old best friend Serena." I pulled my hand out for a hand shake.

She looked down at it then grabbed my hand and shook it. "Nice meeting you." I flashed her a smile, as i pulled my hand away from her grasp.

She gave me a fake smile. "Nice to meet you too." I could tell she forced that out of herself. "Toni you never invited me why? You didn't even tell me you were seeing someone." She said making me tense.

Toni put his arm around my waist. "Well that was because you were out of town and i couldn't contact you." He said pulling me closer, making me shiver from his touch.

She glanced between us. "Well congrats, i will see you soon, right Toni?" She said and Toni laughed.

"Of course." She flashed us a fake smile then walked away.

I put a strand of hair behind my ear, looking up at Toni. "I think it's time for us to go." Jordan said coming over and patting Toni's back.

Toni nodded not taking his eyes off me, someone cleared their throat making us snap out of our gaze and look at the person who did it, Anna. "Well we should go now! i really wanna go home and get out of this tight dress mom forced on me." Katherine said making me chuckle.

Jennifer rolled her eyes. "Well that's because you need to wear the more often." Katherine scowled at her mother. "Anyways let's get going." We walked towards Greg.

Toni shook his hand. "Congrats on the company." Greg nodded then looked at me and shot me a wink making me hide behind Toni. "See you soon." Toni grabbed my hand then lead me out of the company.

We all got into our cars, right when Toni was gonna drive Anna came towards our car. "I need a ride, there was no more room in Sara's car because she has to take her friends home." Toni nodded and she got in the back, sending me a smirk, i just ignored and looked at the window.

As we drove home, we drove in complete silence, not comfortable silence, Awkward silence. I looked down at my hands and swirled my wedding and engagement ring around. My thoughts went back to that girl from the alley.

What was she gonna say? What is everyone talking about? What lie? What lie am i living in for the love of god! I need to read that envelope and i will read it when i get home, the car came to a stop making me snap out of my thoughts, i inhaled deeply then opened the passenger seat exiting the car shutting it behind me.

Everyone entered the mansion tired and sleepy, the maids flashed us a sweet smile, everyone went to the living room except me and Toni, i went upstairs to our room while he went to the office, i shut the door and unzipped my dress walking towards the closet and grabbed my black leggings and black tank top, i put them on then walked out.

I went towards the door and locked it behind me no interruptions i need to know what is in that letter, i hurriedly went to the nightstand that was on my side, i looked inside of it looking for the letter, but it wasn't there, i shut the drawer then walked over to Toni's side and opened the drawer looking for it nothing, my heart beat really fast...oh my god where is it?

I rushed towards the door and unlocked it and ran towards Toni's office, i opened the door in a hurry Toni looked at me confused. "Do-do you k-know where the letter is?" I asked shaking.

Toni looked at me one last time then got up with the letter in his hand. "You really need to read it." I took the letter from him.

He went over and shut the door, my heart beat really fast i opened the letter, i'm so scared to read it and to know what the truth is, i sighed and looked down at the letter beginning to read it.
