I woke up to a sound of someone showering, i turned over and my eyes started to flutter open, my sight was blurry at first so i rubbed my eyes looking around noticing Toni isn't around. I'm guessing he is the person in the shower, i stretched and yawned. I threw the covers off of me and got up feeling the cold air hit my body causing me to shiver.

I stood up and went over to the balcony door, i opened it and walked out, i looked to see the beautiful view of the trees. I felt a smile form on my face but all of that was over when i heard someone clear their throat, i turned around to see Toni standing there with his arms crossed. "Come in, i need to give you something." He said dryly.

I nodded and walked in, he shut the door then walked up to me with a envelope in his hand, i looked at it confused. "Last night a woman came over her name was-" He was cut off by Sara's voice as she entered the room.

Toni hid the envelope behind him and she walked up to him and kissed him on the cheek. "Good morning, my darling." She turned to me and flashed me a hated look, what have i done to make her hate me?

I bit my lip. "Good morning Aunt Sara but i would like to have some peace and quiet with my fiancé." Toni flashed her a fake smile that looked real.

She looked at him with a sad look. "Your mom sent me to call both of you for breakfast, so come on now." She smiled.

Toni nodded. "Fine I'll be there." Toni walked inside the bathroom which left me alone with Sara.

She looked at me with pure disgust, she scanned me up and down. "I know what you are trying to do." She said, i gave her a confused look. "You and your parents are gold diggers, that is the only reason why you're marrying my nephew huh?" She gave me a hatred look.

I looked at her with wide eyes. "I don't want any of his money." I looked down at my hands, but my parents do.

She gave me a sarcastic laugh. "You blew Anna's chance! She was supposed to marry Toni. I won't let you win little girl, Anna will always win, good luck with your marriage baby girl." She walked past me with a smirk, leaving the room.

Anna and Toni? Anna has feelings for Toni? I sighed and looked at the window, I turned around and noticed Toni walked out of the bathroom. "Are you coming or not?" He asked me coldly.

I'm surrounded by people who hate me to death, what am i doing here? Why am i even here? I looked at him. "I don't think my clothes are appropriate." He looked down at my clothes, and nodded leaving the room.

Is he just gonna leave me here? Where did he put my clothes i wore yesterday? I sat down on the couch looking at my nail, i heard a soft knock on the door. "Come in." I told the person, the door opened and it was Kat.

I smiled at her. "Good morning." She said coming up to me with a outfit in her hand. "I got you some clothes, go put it on." She handed me the clothes.

I walked into the bathroom shutting the door behind me, i stripped out of Toni's shirt and wore the outfit she gave me. I opened the bathroom door, and see Kat was leaning against the wall with a straightener and a makeup bag. "I'm fixing your hair." She pushed me back into the bathroom.

We were finally done straightening my hair, i just finished doing my makeup. "Thank you." I turned to Kat and looked at her shyly.

She bumped her hips with mine. "No problem." She winked then walked out of the room.

I looked at myself in the mirror one last time then walked out of the room, i walked towards the stairs and held onto the railing, i saw a maid cleaning the table once her eyes landed on me she stood straight and nodded her head. "Good morning miss." She greeted.

I smiled at her. "Good morning." I replied kindly, i noticed she looked a little pale; i went up to her and put my hand on her forehead causing her to tense. "Are you sick?" I asked, she looked down and nodded. "Oh my! you should go to bed and rest." She shook her head.

"Miss Sara told me even though i was sick i had to do my job." She looked at me tiredly; i looked at her with concern.

"This isn't right, I'll be right back." I walked into the dining room, i noticed everyone was happily eating, once i walked in they all looked at me with a smile except Toni, Sara, and Anna. Toni didn't bother looking up. "Toni can i have a word with you." I asked with a low tone.

He looked up at me and nodded; he stood up and walked over to me. "Let's go." He said, we both walked out of the dining room. "What do you need?" He said with an annoyed tone.

I played with my fingers not looking at him but at my shoes. "There is a maid she is very sick, i think she should work for today, she looks like she will faint in any second." I finally looked up at him and met his blue eyes.

He raised an eyebrow. "No, she needs to do her job." He was about to walk away but i grabbed his arm.

He turned to me and i looked at him in disbelief. "Toni do you not have a heart, the poor girl looks like she is gonna faint any second." I told him softly. "Toni please, she needs to rest." He looked at me with a smirk.

"I don't care." He looked at me in the eyes.

I shook my head. "You don't care about anything." I walked away from him and towards the sick maid; she turned around and looked at me with a frown. "Go get some rest." I said putting my hand on her shoulder.

She looked at me and smiled. "Thank you." She walked away, i sighed. I want to leave! When are my parents going to come back?

I closed my eyes then opened them walking towards the kitchen, everyone looked at me again i flashed them a shy smile. "Good morning." I said shyly.

Jennifer stood up from her seat and walked over to me. "Good morning." She put her hand on my shoulders. "Come take a seat." She led me towards one of the chairs which sat across from Toni who was looking at his food.

I sat down looking at the plate in front of me, it had pancakes, my favorite i looked at Jennifer and smiled, we all ate in silence until i heard someone clearing their throat, i look up and notice it was Kat. She looked at me and smirked. "So Toni how do you think Layla looks right now?" Kat asked not taking her eyes off me with her smirk; i looked at her with wide eyes and stopped eating.

I didn't dare to look at Toni, because i felt his gaze on me, i gave Kat a look of why would you do that. All she did was smirk, i sighed. "She looks good." I heard Toni's husky voice which caused me to shiver, i heard my phone ringing, and I pulled it out of my purse my mom was calling. "Excuse me." I got up and walked out of the kitchen.

I answered the phone call. "Ello?" I started.

"Hey sweetie me and your father are home, if you want you can come home." She said.

I really do want to go home. "I'm going to come now." I said as i looked at the pictures on the wall.

I heard my mom talking to my dad about something, i couldn't hear well because it was like they were whispering. "Okay make sure you come home safe bye." She ended the phone call.

I locked my phone then turned around to bump into a hard chest which almost caused me to fall but the person wrapped their arms around my waist, i slowly looked up and noticed it was Toni, i moved out of his grasp. "Sorry." I looked down.

I look back up to see him looking at me with a clenched jaw. "Do you need to get home?" He asked like he was forced to say the words.

I bit my lip and nodded. "Yeah." I whispered, he nodded then turned around.

Where is he going? Is he just gonna leave me here? "Coming or not?" I heard him say, I played with my fingers then ran towards him, we both walked out of the house, i saw the driver opening the door for us, I went in first then Toni entered the car. "Drop her off at home." Toni told the driver strictly.

We finally made it in front of my house, i was about to exit the car but a hand grabbed my wrist. "Layla i was supposed to give you this before Aunt Sara walked in." He pulled out the envelope, that he showed me earlier. "This woman wanted me to give you this she said the tr-" He was cut off by my mom.

"Honey your home! Toni! Your here it's so nice to see you, she said through the car window, I noticed Toni hid the envelope, what the hell is in that envelope?

"Hello Mary." Toni greeted with a nod.

My mom blushed i looked at her confused? Why is she blushing? I opened the car door and got out. "Let's go inside." I told my mom, she gave me a look, i sighed and grabbed her hand. We walked towards the house; i turned around to see the car Toni and his driver were gone.

We walked inside, i saw my dad coming down the stairs, i ignored him and walked past him upstairs. "You're still mad at me?" He asked, making me stop.

I turned around and looked at him. "You hit me because i was speaking the truth." i shrugged. "I got hit for no reason, both of you have changed and not in a good way." I turned around and walked into my room, shutting the door locking it behind me.

I felt tears build up in my eyes, but i blinked them away not wanting to cry. I don't know what to do anymore! I'm sick and tired of being treated like a dog. I sat on my bed closing my eyes trying to think of happy things but there is nothing.

I grabbed my phone; i need to get out of this house.
