《The Pet》Guitar

I woke up to the sound of what sounds like a guitar being played. I opened my eyes to see where the sound was coming from but quickly shut them when I realized that the sun was hitting my face. The guitar keeps playing and it sounds beautiful, it is quiet and soft which also makes it relaxing as well. I slowly open my eye again to adjust to the light, once they we adjusted I look around the room with my eyes, till I see where the where the beautiful sound is coming from,
Zayne
A shirtless Zayne, sitting by the window, playing a guitar, beautifully might I add. The way he was playing was amazing, it was so smooth and quiet I could probably fall back asleep to it. But what happened next made me not want to go back to sleep,
" How can you miss someone you've never met?
'Cause I need you no but I don't know you yet."
My eyes widened in shock when I heard him start to sing. One, because I never thought a vampire, especially a vampire prince could or wants to sing, and two because of how amazing he sounded.
While he sang, I just layed there listening to him play. I saw a pink glow coming from my chest while listening to Zayne. I looked down to see my necklace glowing again through my dress. Why is it glowing again? And why pink? I covered it with my hand so he couldn't see it if he were to look up. After a couple seconds the necklace started to dim. I took my hand away from my chest and went back to listening to Zayne.
"I need you now but I don't know you yet"
The song finished, and to be honest I was pretty sad it did, I wish it would keep going.

My eyes watched Zayne as he got up from the couch and set his guitar down. He then turned around to meet his eyes with mine. We both froze and just stared at each other. After a couple seconds he blinked and spoke,
"Uh, did I wake you?"
Yes but I am glad you did
"No you didn't" I said quickly
He looked at me skeptically before smirking, "You sure?" I could feel my cheeks heating up from his question. "So what if you did?" I said back. He let out a dry laugh before coming over to the end of the bed and sitting down.
"My apologies for waking you"
I sat up quickly, "No you're fine I promise it was...really nice." He just smirked and looked down at his feet. We just stayed in silence for a little, until I decided to break it.
"So you sing?"
He nodded, keeping his gaze down, "I do," he said. "Something to do to escape from all the royalty shit." I laughed at the response, "Well you're really good." I said back.
"Thank you" he said lookin back up at me.
I looked away from him to look at the time. I saw it was 10:15 in the morning and breakfast had already started downstairs. "Aren't you going to breakfast?" I asked looking back up at him.
"No, I asked a maid to bring us food here. I am going to be working here today, away from everyone." He said back
I just nodded my head. Silence came again between us, but it wasn't an awkward silence. I then remembered what happened in the middle of the night with my dream. "Sorry again, for waking you up in the middle of the night." I said feeling embarrassed.

"It's ok" was all he said. He then got up from the bed and went to the other side of the bed to grab something from the nightstand. He picked up a piece of paper and handed it to me. I took it from him to see it was my drawing of a rose I drew last night. I could feel my cheeks getting red again staring at it. "You're pretty good" I heard him say. I smiled up at him, "Thank you."
He nodded back. A knock at the door broke our attention from each other. Zayne walked over to the door and opened it to bring in our breakfast.
Once we finished eating we put or plated on the cart it came in and Zayne went rover to his desk to do some work. I went to sit by the window when I realized I haven't showered since I came here and the bandages on my back may need to be changed. I turned around towards Zayne to ask, "Can I take a shower?" He looked away from his papers up at me.
"Of course, um there are some clothes for you in the closet on the left." He said pointing towards the closet. I nodded back and went to the closet and turned left to see a whole section of closet for me. I stood in shock to see how much clothes were there for me. There was everything from dresses to sports bras and shorts. All of this for me? I got out of my state of shock and grabbed my clothes which contained of black underwear, black lace bra, maroon shorts, and a black off the shoulder sweater. Once I got my stuff I walked towards the bathroom and shut the door.
Taking off my bandages, I looked in the mirror to see that my lashes weren't bleeding anymore but were starting to bruise. These are going to be amazing scares. Note the sarcasm. I stepped into the shower and let the warm water trickle down my body, while my mind went back to Zayne's singing.
