The feeling of cool tile woke me up from my sleep. I opened my eyes, to quickly shut them again from the bright light shining down on me. What the hell? I slowly started to open my eyes again and let my eyes adjust to the light. Once my eyes were adjusted, I could finally see where I was.

I was in the throne room

I looked around confused as to why I was there. I slowly stood up to my feet, and looked around to see that there were many people in the room surrounding me watching me. I was still very confused. It wasn't until I looked up to the throne to see the Lord looking down at me with a smirk. My confusion was replaced with fear.

My fear was increased when I saw something by him on the side of his chair. More like someone. They were hunched over shaking, and looking like they were in pain. The Lord then chuckled,

"Oh Emberlynn, it's a shame,"

What is? I didn't respond, instead I furrowed my brows and continued to look at him.

"A shame that you will be the reason for his downfall." he smirked

Who is he talking about?

It wasn't until the hunched over, shaking man raised his head up to meet my eyes, I realized who he was talking about. Zayne.

But not the Zayne I saw today

This Zayne was dangerous. He looked like he rose from the dead with his cheeks sunken in and his skin paler than it already is. His hair was a mess sticking out all over the place. But the scariest thing about him was his eyes, they were red. Blood Red. I released a shaky breath from my mouth, and stumbled back. What happened to him?

"Such a pity."

I looked back to the Lord with tears brimming in my eyes, "What did you do to him?" I asked.

He chuckled again,

"I didn't do anything to him... you did."

What did I do? I haven't done anything to turn him into this, or have I?

"It is also a shame you won't be alive to save him."

My blood went cold when those words slipped out of his mouth. What? My thoughts were cut short when my back meets the ground, and a heavy object is on top of me. I wince in pain as my back makes hard contact with the floor. I heard heavy breaths coming from above me, I slowly opened my eyes to meet crimson ones.

"Zayne please," I whimpered

"Why did you break it?" he seethed

"What are you talking about?"

"Don't fucking act like you don't know, why did you break it?" He tightened his hold on me

"Zayne please, I don't know!"

"How could you forget our promise?"

"I-I," it was getting hard to speak, the weight on top of me was making it hard to breathe.

"Forget it, it is broken now, and now you pay for it."

He flared his teeth into my face

'ZAYNE NO-"

"Emberlynn!"

I was woken up by someone shaking me awake, I opened my eyes to be met with piercing blue ones. We were both heavily breathing, me being frightened and him trying to wake me up.

"You okay?" he asked

"Yeah,sorry," I breathed

"You,sure, you were talking and thrashing around,"

"Yeah it was just a bad dream"

A bad dream where you looked like you were dying then slammed me into the ground and continued to yell in my face and then go on biting me.

"Sorry for waking you up"

"It's ok, but are you sure you are ok?"

No

"Yes"

"You wanna talk about it."

"No it's ok"

He nodded then proceeded to turn away from me and lay back down releasing a heavy sigh. We both continued to stare up at the ceiling for a while, not knowing what to do. I don't know why he wasn't going back to sleep, I just woke him up from his sleep , he should want to go back to bed. As for me I am too scared to go back to sleep, I don't want to deal with any more dreams of me getting bitten by crazy Zayne and being told I broke a promise. I am starting to get scared of what this promise is, or if it's even real. Why did I break it? Why is Zayne so mad about me breaking it?

I jumped at the feeling of something cold grasping my hand.I looked down at my hand to see another hand grasping it. "You're shaking," I look up to see his face, when he is already staring at me. I didn't even realize I was shaking not because I am cold, but because I was scared.

"Sorry" I said lowering my gaze

"Emberlynn you don't need to be sorry about having a bad dream, everyone has them." I just nodded in agreement.

"Come here"

I abruptly looked at him with wide eyes, "What?"

"I wanna try something, come here."

Uh ok. I slowly crawled over to him, he then grabbed me and pushed me so I was flush against his bare chest. I was surprised at first, meeting his cold chest, and with me laying in him. But it soon changed into a calm feeling. The coolness of his chest was relaxing and his arm wrapped around me felt relaxing.

I liked it

"The shop owner was right, when he said you wake people up."

I looked up to see him have a smirk on his face. I smiled and let out a lazy laugh. "He did warn you," I said.

"He did, but I can live with it" he said smiling, looking down at me

I just smiled and put my head back down on his chest, slowly closing my eyes and becoming tired. I heard one more thing before I went to a deep sleep,

"Goodnight Rose"
