I went home, and when I got in the house I saw Hana cooking in the kitchen.

She was smiling at me.

"Oh you are here already, kaif al-haal?* Have you eaten already? Do you wanna eat with me?"

*How are you, in Arabic*

I didn't say anything.

I just took the chair and sat across the table then started feeding myself and ate with her.

She was gonna say something but I cut her, "Let's eat first."

So she just ate.

Right after we were done eating I went to her room directly, Hana's room.

Yeah, her room.

Are you guys surprised? LOL

[This is how Yassin wrote the story so whatever with the LOL and you know.. ✌]

I think Hana was surprised too when she came into her room and found me there.

"Why are you here?"

I didn't asnwer.

I didn't understand what she said, I wasn't fluent in her dialect back then.

(T/N: Guys, Hana spoke in dialect and the guy didn't grew up in that city so he knows another dialect so he's not fluent in Hana's dialect)

"Why are you here?" She asked again in a dialect I can understand.

"Is it bad? You're my wife anyway, right?"

She was gonna get out but I stopped her.

"I thought you wanted to talk with me? Let's talk now,"

I stood up from where I was sitting, went to the door and locked it.

"Speak now?" I was telling her to talk now that I'm here.

Her breathing sped up and turned red.

I know she was startled and nervous.

"What now?

Don't you wanna speak?

What did you say in the call again?

Talk in the language I can understand properly."

She stepped back a little, "Let's divorce-"

"When do you want to have a divorce?" I cut.

She wasn't able to reply right away so I walked towards her.

"I am asking you if when do you want it? Don't you wanna answer me Hana?"

"Whenever you want!" She suddenly yelled.

I was taken aback. She raised her voice.

"You are making me so crazy mad, Yassin!"

I was startled to see her tears flow from her eyes. She was crying already.

"Why are you like that? She was crying.

"I thought you have enough knowledge about Arabic and you know the rights of a wife over her husband!"

(T/N: when they say Arabic it means that someone is knowledgeable about the religion Islam and it's rulings)

I looked at her, at that moment there was no words that came out of my mouth.

I was so shocked to witnessed her act like that.

***

I woke up early. When I got out of my room and passed by her room, I noticed that she's not there.

I asked one of the maids, where she was and she said she went out.

This early she went out? I was worried despite everything, I'm also a human though that have conscience.

"Where are you?" I called her.

She said she went to her parent's house

Wow. I can't believe this kid putting me in a trouble.

Is she going to tell her parents that we are going to separate?

Oh no.

So I went after her.

***

I went to the in-laws and talked to them.

After that they told me where Hana was hiding, this kid is making me worry.

She looked surprised when she saw me there,

"Why did you go here without even telling me? Did you tell them we will separate?"

She only said one thing, "I am waiting for you to say that to them because I have no right to divorce our marriage. I am just a woman and I know you know that!"

(T/N: Search the ruling of divorce in Islam. But women in Islam have right to ask for divorce if she has valid reasons. May be Hana doesn't know that. Moving on..)

Sighing mentally.

The kid was steadily winning against me in every argument.

"Sometimes, I wonder if you're really 14 years old or 41 years old?"

I grabbed her wrist and walked out of the room.

Come on, let's go home."

***

It's been a few days already and I try to avoid the divorce thing we've fought about few days ago.

Why? I also don't know why.

All I know is I don't wanna talk about it.

Am I growing soft on this kid?

Am I falling in love to this kid?

I don't know. I'm not sure.

***

One day, I was drinking coffee in the balcony from my room, then I saw the kid hanging washed clothes to dry.

She was wearing a white long dress, it was a see-through dress so you can see her inner clothes.

She saw me, smiled at me and even waved at me.

So I went to her, "Your inner clothes can be seen."

I was giving her a warning obviously.

She looked at her body.

"It's alright." She said smiling.

"What?" I asked.

She paused from what she was doing,

"I mean you're the only one who can see it and what's so wrong about it? You're my husband right?"

"Come on, just help me hang this clothes, don't you know how hard it is to hang clothes?" She sighed almost complaining.

"It's so hard getting married, even my husband's underwear needs to be washed. If only you were not handsome."

And she laughed after that. Obviously she was half joking.

I admit, during those times, I was kinda happy.

It was the first time I saw her like that and even talked to her in that way.

We were continuously like that after that interaction, we've become closer like friends.

Until the day came that I need to go back to college again because I have so many absences.

***

O Allaah! I've only been back here in college and I already miss her.

I miss her so much. We call each other and exchange messages but it's still not enough, I still miss my wife.

I miss her so much I decided to call grandfather.

"Grandfather, I wanna transfer.."

"Why?"

"I just want to."

LMAO.

I know Grandfather knows why, so he agreed. YES!

Grandfather arranged everything so..

***

It was afternoon.

Hana didn't know I was coming home, I wanted to surprise her so I went to her school to fetch her.

I saw her with her classmates so I didn't show myself yet.

Yes, may be to avoid embarrassing her? For being married to an older guy?

But I was the one who got surprised when Hana tilted her head and looked in my way.

She had a very big smile plastered on her face when she saw me. When she saw me, you can see how happy she became.

Seeing her becoming so excited and happy like that feels like I was the happiest man on earth.

May be I was the happiest during those beautiful moments.
