Asfandyaar and Zubab were growing beautifully after their marriage. Asfandyaar prioritised Zubab before anyone. Zarmain was the happiest to witness him loving her daughter so much but in every story, there is someone who is ready to destroy others.

In the life of Asfandyaar and Zubab, it was people.

They don't leave any chance to knock Zubab on coming from a middle class family. Maham is in good terms with Zubab. Sweeter and kind, it was pretty shocking for Zubab to acknowledge Maham being kind to her.

No one except Azeem knows about the past life of Zubab in Shah house. Asfandyaar made sure to invite everyone to the after wedding party after a few days of the actual wedding.

The party was to be conducted in the evening. Zubab was still in the hospital. She received a text from Asfandyaar. She smiles looking at the ID she saved his number with. A with a heart. He had her heart.

: Jaan, you are seriously checking patients when you should be checking out your fit for the eve?

Jaan. Just the way she read it made her grin like an idiot. Once, she believed his ex-husband calling it made her happy but she realised calling it and meaning it are totally different things. He meant calling her his soul. She was his soul.

: I am done, honey!

: *unconscious on hearing my honey calling me honey*

: *chuckles*

The evening arrived, the Shah Mansion was glistening with lights and the servants running around to settle everything perfectly. Asfandyaar got ready in Moosa's room to let the beauticians be comfortable in Zubab and his' room as they doll up his wife.

"It's my after-party." Asfandyaar looks up at Moosa who is checking his hair in the long mirror and taking mirror selfies. "I know."

"Then stop acting as if it's yours."

"I am not acting. I am the single Shah now. The hottest bachelor." Moosa runs his fingers in his hair and sits next to Asfandyaar. The mirror was in front of them. So, without asking Moosa captured another picture, this time with his brother in the frame.

They looked fine and natural.

"I look good in every angle," Moosa says, zooming in his face. "You look okay..."

"Save that for the next brownies." Asfandyaar glares at him. "I don't care brother. I have bhabhi. I know the exact phone number of bhabhi, I will send all your ugly childhood pictures if you don't agree to my wishes."

Asfandyaar smirks. "She saw it."

"You are a liar." Moosa gets up and walks towards the door. "I need to check up on deserts. Are you coming?"

"Caterers can do it. You don't need to burden my brother." Asfandyaar flicks his phone and locks it open. "I'd just check it."

"Don't empty the entire deserts, Moosa." Asfandyaar says loud enough for Moosa to hear it. He opens his social media account to see Moosa had already uploaded a picture of their natural mirror selfie with a caption of,

"I know I am cooler than him. ."

Asfandyaar laughed reading and slided to the comment section, noticing that many had dropped a lot of comments already. He typed,

"@ No wonder that's why you are single."

Moosa was the best brother he could have asked for. He grinned looking at the notification of another magazine who wrote an article on the wife of Asfandyaar Shah, first daughter-in-law of Azeem Shah and Aliza Shah, Zubab Asfandyaar Shah.

His wife was hooping on the increasing hype. He was genuinely happy about it. He asked her if she's ready and she said yes. He went inside their room to see there was no one except his wife. She slowly turns around.

He falls in love, all over again.

His vision blurred as tears started brimming his eyes. He just couldn't believe the destiny that sent a fairy like a woman to him. She chuckles looking at the way he wipes his tears and bits his lips to stop the upcoming one's. "I am sorry." He wipes it again.

"Shed them, Asfand. Don't keep them in. Feel free when you are around me. I am aware those are not sad tears. They are happy tears, Asfand."

"Shed them, Zubab. Don't keep them in. Feel free when you are around me. I am aware those are not sad tears. Those are happy tears, Zubab."

That's exactly what he said when he proposed to her. He couldn't be more thankful to have a woman like Zubab in his life, who cares about him soo much after Aliza and Lily.

He walks towards her and wraps his arms around her, taking her in his embrace. "I am so glad to be with you."

She holds him tighter when he strokes her head and pecks the exact same spot he pecks every morning before work. The spot where she has a scar by hitting her head on the tea table on that drastic night with her ex-husband.

He makes sure she feels comfortable and settled when he is around her. He enhances her every part of existence, making it more beautiful than it has ever been.

She was wearing a chocolate brown gown with her hair in a long french braid accompanied with the best and simplest jewellery with makeup completed with a swatch of matte cocoa brown.

She looked stunning!

"You look absolutely gorgeous, jaan." He pecks the spot again before looking at her closely again. "You look like mine." She teases.

"I am yours."

"Peerless! You look peerless!" She compliments, running her fingers through his hair, smoothly to not spoil the style. "We look peerlessly perfect!" He chuckled, sliding his palm to hers and walking out.

The feast was an absolute blast. Asfandyaar introduced Zubab to most of his friends and business partners. Everyone made Asfandyaar feel lucky praising her beauty and the charm they sparkled together.

Zubab was talking with the guests when she encountered her mother talking with someone. Zarmain's face was furious and tired as Zubab noticed. She peeked at the person. Much to her dismay, it was Jibran Zaheer. Zubab's father.

Zubab grew anxious knowing the fact that her father came to her after the wedding party. That father who didn't want a daughter, that father who left her mother alone. She was always anxious and sensitive to the topics of her father. She went up the stairs and walked towards their room.

Her breathing went up and down as she sat in the bed. She poured a glass full of water and drank it in a go from the set table. Still her anxiety wouldn't go and it was certainly killing the best out of her.

Her eyes fixed on the floor. No sound went audible to her ear except for her uneven breathing. Her hand is clenched to the bed sheets as she bits her lips. Her father was worse than anyone in this world. Rizwan and Jibran would sit on one side to her from the entire world.

It was a pity how her father scared her so much. It felt as if she never wanted to exist in this world because of him. He made her loathe his existence.

"Jaan?"

She heard Asfandyaar. She knew it was him as the door of their room opened and closed behind slowly but she still couldn't look up but she stopped shaking. Her hands were not clenched. She didn't want to spoil the feast for Asfandyaar because of her anxiety but it wasn't an easy thing to let go.

"Zubab?" He called again. He noticed how she was sitting in the bed, looking down at the floor with her reduced uneven breathing. He grew worried and walked to her, "What happened, Jaan?"

Zubab was conscious abouts the fact that she didn't belong to a rich family. Asfandyaar knew it, he kept telling her that it didn't mattered to him and he doesn't want to know or ever consider what people think about it but Zubab was always nervous about getting judged.

He thought maybe because of that, she was anxious.

He poured another glass of water and sat beside her, making her drink the water. He took her hand in his and stroked them a little saying, "Why are you worrying about anything, Zubab? I am with you."

She gulps down the water and keeps the glass back at the table. She glances at him. "It's nothing, Asfand. Go and attend the guests. I guess I have a headache. I'll rest for a while."

He rolled his eyes, sighing. "Do you think I am blind to not see you?" He paused. "Tell me what happened? Did anyone say something to you? Tell me."

She shook her head knowing he could help her. Help her get away from her father, help her get away with anxiety, help her get away from men who brutally denied her existence as real.

"No, I am seriously tired."

She got up and walked towards the dressing room, not being able to face him. Before she removes her necklace, he grabs her by her arms and locks her between the wall and him. They were so close to each other. "Tell me what happened?"

She hesitates wriggling in his hold, moving the strand of hair behind her ear. She inhaled unevenly. She finally gives up and begins, "My father is there."

He kept digging at her eyes. He knew there was more than his behind them. He wanted to know and remove all of it.

"How could I have forgotten the fact that my father was a rich man? He wouldn't want to see me. It'll make him guilty over the fact that I am his daughter. I don't want to go."

She pushes him a little but he is firmly standing in front of her so strong. His eyes soften and he removes the hair off her forehead where her scar of getting hit by the table was. He stroked it slowly as he spoke, "You are forgetting something, jaan."

He plants a kiss on the scar and resumes, "You are not Miss. Zubab Zaheer. You are Mrs. Zubab Asfandyaar Shah, my wife, my health, my wealth, my reputation, my crown, my heart and my soul. You are the woman I love."

She melts in his arms. She realised this is where she belongs. In his arms, her safe heaven.

"You are my woman, Jaan."

He takes Zubab down the stairs, towards Jibran Zaheer. With Asfandyaar around her, she wasn't as anxious as she was by the thought of her father.

"Mr. Jibran, meet my wife, Dr. Zubab Shah."

"Jaan, He is the COO of Shah Constructions."

Zubab nods, smiling at Asfandyaar. She couldn't be more thankful than she was. The colour drained from Jibran's face. Like he never expected his daughter who he abandoned being married to his boss. The superior CEO of Shah Industries.

Zubab was so proud of agreeing to marry him.

"She is my daughter, Mr. Shah."

Asfand chuckles, ignoring the urge to slap him. He looks straight in his eyes. He knew Jibran was slipping towards the royalty of the Shah family. His daughter was married to the heir. Wouldn't it be the perfect time to swipe the card?

"She is my woman, Mr. Zaheer. I don't remember her telling me that she had a father or ever wanted to have him by his side."

Asfandyaar drags Zubab to another circle introducing to the people in contracts with Shah Industries. Zubab's cheeks hurt to smile. But she was glad that she was surrounded with people who weren't on the brink of abandoning and abusing her.

"Jaan, meet Tahmina Jaffar. The Ambassador of Syeré."

Zubab is fond of podcasts. She knew Tahmina, her podcasts were skyrocketing just with the wit and humour the young lady elegantly carried around.

"What's up, Mrs. Shah?" Tahmina gives Zubab a warm hug which she gladly accepts. "You're so pretty." She appreciates it. Zubab blushes as Tahmina whispers in her ears, "Mr. Asfandyaar is the luckiest."

She moves away and winks at her. Zubab smiles, "I am a huge fan of your podcasts. They are lit!"

"You know me?" Tahmina grins surprised. "That's something I never expected."

"Of course! I listened to every episode of the latest session from Toast The Roast With Tahmina."

Tahmina squeals in happiness, hugging her once more. "Seems like my wife loves you, Tahmina."

"I am honoured, Mr. Asfandyaar." She closes her eyes, feeling proud. "Anyways, Congratulations to you both! You guys look gorgeous together."

Asfandyaar and Zubab couldn't respond as they heard someone intrude, "Only gorgeous?"

Their eyes landed on the source of the voice. Zubab held Asfandyaar's hand, clenching it, she looked straight in the eyes of the person in front of her. "They are immaculate!"

Asfandyaar himself knitted his brows, not knowing the person in front but he was sure that he was someone who came with Tahmina and Zubab was getting scared of him.

"He is my fiancee," Tahmina introduced. The man smirked. "Let me do a proper intro, Mina." He told Tahmina and faced the new wedded couple.

"I am sure you guys wouldn't know me." Asfandyaar let out a chuckle. This guy was making him feel amused by his invisible charm he thinks he owns.

"Myself Rizwan Faruqi."

Asfandyaar looked at him. He was glaring at him before he felt the hold around his arm tightening more, he glanced at Zubab who was looking down. He understood who he was.

Her ex-husband was in front of her husband at their after wedding party.

He decided to tackle him his way. He didn't want to make an issue in the middle of so many people. Most of all he didn't want to make Zubab more anxious. He smirks, "So you are Rizwan Faruqi?"

"You know me?" Rizwan thought that Asfandyaar wouldn't know about him and Zubab didn't tell him about such a big phase of her life which could have spoiled her future. "Of course. People like you should be known by everyone."

Zubab, Tahmina and Rizwan himself were confused at his words. They gazed at him all together. "After all you are Tahmina's fiancé."

Tahmina giggles, making the heat in the conversation easy. Rizwan sighs thinking he could still use her past to blackmail Zubab, joining Tahmina laughing.

"You are such a great actor, Mr. Asfandyaar." Tahmina smiles. She was warm and true. Her eyes depict the amount of beauty in her heart. "Glad to be complimented by you, Ms. Tahmina."

"Uh-oh. I don't let anyone talk so slippy with my fiancée." Rizwan intrudes. "Mrs. Shah, you better keep your husband in hold."

Zubab kept looking at Rizwan and then at Tahmina. She was afraid of the plans he had with Tahmina. Asfandyaar stares at Zubab, saying,

"She has her entire hold in my heart. No one ever had thought to enter my heart while she took it all for herself."

Zubab realised looking at Asfandyaar. There was no one really who was more good than Asfandyaar to her. She smiles despite the chaos, her eyes fixed at his. Both were deeply in love.
