Laiba fidgeted with her fingers. She wasn't nervous, she was relaxed. Fanning herself though the aur conditioner was switched on. It was heavy and tiring to wear the fit for an entire day.
There was an itchy pain below her eyes. She was so thankful to Sahar who helped her remove the heavy makeup and switched it with just a little touch up.
She laid back a little and closed her eyes. She is just a little close to fall asleep.
His bed. It was the most comforting thing she saw in here. The room was perfect. It was of beige colour but there were dark red pipings in every interior.
Bold and beautiful.
This wasn't her concern at the moment but her sleep was. She wanted to sleep, she was nearly sleeping when Izhaan opened the door. She was so deep into it that she didn't heard it. It wasn't like she didn't wanted to, she was just dozing off.
He walks to her. Her eyes were closed, he sat near her and gazed at the sleeping beauty, waiting for her prince charming.
He noticed her details. She had semi-almond eyes, her hair was hazy brown and lips were small to medium. He untangled her messy bun and stroked them. It felt soft and fluffy.
He chuckled realising how deeply in sleep she was. His mind diverted to the time when Fawad told him how scared she is of men. He wondered if Areeb was the reason she was scared of men. His phone buzzed. He glanced at it.
It was surprisingly Areeb.
He smirked. Talk of Satan and Satan arrives. He walked towards their closet and closed the door. "Were you trying to fool me, you bas****!"
Izhaan had won everything. Her love, their reputation, the closure. Areeb was lying, now he needed to suffer.
"Don't you dare to speak that way, Areeb?"
"Why? Who are you? You are just another construction business man-"
"I am Laiba's husband if I may enlighten you." Izhaan could feel the temper rise by the silence he received through the other line.
"What do you think? You think this will end here?"
"Yes Areeb. It ends here. Look out of the window. There are people wanting you," he says smiling. "What?" Izhaan could hear the sirens from the call. The police were there.
"Why are they here?" Areeb was in a serious tone now, like he was really tortured by Izhaan's actions.
"Should I say the line the police commissioner is supposed to?" Izhaan smirks. He knows where it will hurt him. Where his gut layed, he exactly knew that place. "You are under arrest for sexually harassing women in business. Here's the evidence and the witness."

Izhaan could hear the exact same line from the police just after he finishes. The witness was the receptionist he once harrassed. "I will not leave you alone, Izhaan. Get that in mind. I am Azad Ghafur's son. I will not let you go so easily."
"We will see about it. Now I guess I don't want to spend time with you especially on the first night after my marriage. My wife, Laiba is waiting for me."
He could hear him screaming, bawling over when the police handcuffs him. He cuts the call and changes his cloth and heads out. Laiba was up, his heart skipped a beat focusing on her.
She was sitting in the bed, looking over at her hair which she clearly remembered was not open but it was now. She didn't knew Izhaan opened them.
She glanced towards the sound of the wardrobe door clicking. She smiles at him, like her heart smiled. He strides towards her and sits down next to her.
"Assalamu alaikum!" He greets. She looks down, avoiding his gaze, "Walaikum assalam!"
"Slept well?" He asks making her chuckle. "Dozed off a little."
"I know." He says. There was silence that followed but it wasn't awkward or tensed. It was beautiful and peaceful.
"Don't you have anything to say or ask?" She asks. She was looking down, her eyes yet didn't had the courage to look up at him, at her husband.
"Whatever I say or ask. I know you are my answer, Laiba."
She looked up and didn't regretted looking at him. She was not scared anymore. She slowly held her hand, afraid she might shoo him away in fear but she didn't. "I promise a happy life ahead for you, for me and for us."
She lost herself in those eyes. He was the purest she knew now. She was happy that she bumped into him, that she went to his party, everything from the beginning to the end. The only question that made her more happier is, Is this how love feels? Divine and beautiful.
"I trust you." He holds her hand a little tighter when she begin, "After what Areeb did. I was afraid to trust any other man in life. I wondered if every man out their is the same but you."
Moistness had started to form in her eyes as she exclaimed, "-You are out of it, Izhaan. I wonder what I have did in my life to be with you."
"You are hope to me, Laiba. The hope that I thought I lost. You don't know how much I appreciate your presence in my life."
They knew they were in love, genuinely and all over it.
"Here's the gift for my beautiful wife," he opens the door of the drawers beside the bed and takes out a box. "You bought a gift?" She queries, a little hint of shock in it.

"Why? Don't you like gifts?"
"With the plan you had in the morning. I deeply wonder why you'd buy it."
He laughs at her words and passes her the box. "I bought it a very long time ago. It's a story. Sahar, Shahveer, Meesha and I were shopping for Meesha's and Rayed's wedding. That's when this captured my eyes and henceforth I decided to buy it for my bride. Seems like it will suit her the best."
She opens the box, smiling. It was a beautiful necklace. Simple yet touches of elegance everywhere. It was beautiful and Laiba was star-stuck with the beauty of the necklace.
"It's beautiful."
"Not more than you," she chuckles, blushing at his words. She takes it in her hand and looks over at the design, smiling. "May I?" He asked. She gladly agreed nodding. She removed her hair and sided them to her left side whilst she wore the earrings and he slowly slided the necklace down her neck.
Butterflies doing their duties in her tummy doubling the feelings.
"I am lost. Lost in your beauty my wife." He appreciates as soon as his eyes landed on her. "Thank you, Izhaan. Thank you for everything."
"I should thank you..." She knits her eyebrows, confused. "For existing for me, for being mine, for being so fragile like a flower, for being so beautiful inside out that I couldn't help but fall for you."
She smiles at him. He holds her hand again, "I love you."
And there she knew if she didn't wanted this wedding, she was doomed. Izhaan was the best for her, the only best.
"I love you too."
They prayed together and started a beautiful life together. They were ready for the beautiful beginning of their lives.

The reception of Izhaan and Laiba was a blast. Laiba wore the necklace he gifted, Izhaan was over the moon to witness her wearing it on their reception.
It had been a few days since their wedding. Everyone in Izhaan's family loved how Laiba had turned him into lovesick puppy who returned he on time, spends family time and adores his wife. Sahar would visit them few times.
"How is it?" Laiba stirred the macaroni one more time before glancing at Sahar. "It's perfect, Laiba." She grinned happily.
"It's just the way he likes." She squeezed her arms, smiling. "Thank you for letting me know about his likes and dislikes, Sahar. I honestly couldn't have did it if you hadn't helped me."
"Ay! It's nothing. I am just helping my cousin have the best time with her wife," she winked making Laiba laugh. The elders of the house were out to a wedding. Izhaan could not go because of a family function and hence he decided to stay. Laiba stayed with him.
"You are the light of his life." Sahar said hugging her. Laiba smiled. Sahar was like a sister ever since they got married. Laiba knew everything about Sahar and Izhaan. He was the one to tell her everything, she appreciated his honesty.
"When he broke our alliance, he told me. That may be someone more prettier inside out might be waiting for him." Sahar has said with tears starting to form in her eyes. "And you proved it, Laiba. I am so proud of you."
"Thank you, Sahar." She closed her eyes in her arms. They had become close so much that they were inseparable now. Sahar left soon after Shahveer came to pick her up. Laiba waited for a while before Izhaan turned up.
"So my wife was waiting." He says entering after they exchanged their greetings. "And her husband turned up late."
"I guess I need to get used to it." She says when he drops his laptop bag and files in the couch, walking towards her. "Look at you, so pretty all the time." He compliments her, planting a kiss in her fore head making her blush.
"Freshen up. I will serve the dinner."
He went up and got down after changing into a pair of sweat pants and a t shirt. She kept the hot pot of the delight as he sat down. When he ate the first bite, he was stunned. "Seems like our cook tried something new and it's absolutely great."
She glares at him. "Why? Is it not good?" He asks.
"I cooked."
He laughed, coughing a little. "You should have told me." He says sipping water.
"It's delicious, Jaan."
She grins. Izhaan knew if he called her, 'jaan' she was going to give up that anger.
After they had their dinner, Laiba gifted him a watch which she couldn't guve during their wedding. "I will return more quicker now." He says.
They were seated in the balcony of their room. Izhaan was sleeping in her lap as she played with his hair.
"Before our marriage, Fawad told me that your were scared of men. I was afraid what if you'd get hurt. Why aren't you sacred of me, jaan?,"
She stared up at the sky and the moon as she begun, "Men terrified me. Areeb was the cherry on the top but you are different."
She looks down at his eyes deeply digging at hers under the moonlight,
"Your beauty never scared me, Izhaan."
He took the back of her hand and kissed it making her smile. "Love you," she says holding on tight.
"Love you always and forever."
