Chiaki felt a sweat roll down her face, she seemed so calm and collective most or the time but right not was just impossible to be they way.

"U-umm me and (y/n) were playing video games in my cottage, sorry I forgot to mention that" Chiaki was freaking out on the inside and it was the first thing she could think of to avoid the chance of you being executed. She just hoped nobody noticed all the plot holes in the lie she just said

"Is that true (y/n)?" Hajime asked looking at you

"....."

"O-of course it is, you know with me and (y/n) being childhood friend we hang out a lot, isn't that right (y/n)" Chiaki looked at you with pleading eyes

You looked at her with pity before your head bowed down in shame

".... *sigh* no"

"Huh!" Chiaki was surprised, why would you not accept the lie if it meant you could live

"We never played video games today, I killed Kazuichi" (sorry my dude) "cause he was trying to kill me"

You nodded "I'm sorry" you were crying at this point

"I never meant to kill him, I never wanted to kill anyone"

"(Y/n)" you heard behind you as you were walking towards the execution room.

You looked and saw Chiaki ".... I'm sorry Chiaki that I had to leave you like this" you apologised

Chiaki cried and hugged you, her chest on your back.

You smiled and patted her head in a comforting way

"Stay alive okay" she nodded.

You smiled at her one last time dispite the tears in your eyes. You waved goodbye to everyone and before you knew it you felt a chain rap around your neck to drag you into the execution room.
