Gotham City -
Always had a dark twisted feeling whenever you step outside your house. It always seemed so gloomy, even if it's nine o'clock in the morning. Everyday you could hear someone screaming, in fact I remember I heard thousands of horrifying screams in the alley. You get used to it, knowing it is the home of the worst villains. Wherever you usually find the scum and villainy, you find the police, but the truth is, they cannot or will not help you because they are corrupted mobs.
Needless to say, this town isn't quite familiar compare to South Carolina. People cannot afford to leave this town or have a solid home; and South Carolina is where I used to live.
My mother had a beautiful house that was pointing towards the beach. I had my friends, Elliot, Mia and Juliet. We made a promise to always have lunch together at my mothers backyard and listen to whatever the hell we wanted to. It became a pattern, but it felt like a tradition at this point. My mother would always leave croissant for us and lemon juice because we tend to sit outside all night, laughing and talking about god knows what.
I remember everything so vivid, but I cannot forget what Elliot asked me three years ago which became a reality.
"Alright, where would you never live Daisy?" Elliot turned his head towards me, raising his left eyebrow.
"Gotham".
Yet, I live here now.
I grab the nearest dress I could find in my closet, I'm pretty late to work. It wasn't something I was stressing myself about, but I didn't want to piss off my boss than I already have. I work at the Iceberg lounge, you could say it's a dangerous environment for a woman like me.
I'm pretty nice compare to most females in the club, but this job truly doesn't need a sensitive woman. The private lounge is an escape for corrupted police officers, so being the 'sweet girl' can leave me either dead or worst scenario, raped. But I truly didn't have a choice during this time around. If I can't put food in my house, then I obvious I can't pay the bills either.
My makeup is already settle, as well as my hair. All I have left back is my black coat and my glass slippers hanging on the edge of my bed. I kiss my kitty, Cookie before leaving her some food; knowing I'll be gone for the rest of the day, or at least till seven in the morning. I check my time and it's about 11:50 pm, close enough for me to get fired. Once I grab my purple purse, without any hesitations I and run out the door.

Gotham's signature is surely the weather as well. It'll rain a lot, so it wasn't up for debate that today is the day.
I use my purse to block the rain from slipping through my hair, rushing towards the club as fast as possible. Men in each corner of the alley keeps whistling at me and trying to have eye contacts with me, but it didn't work one bit. It's something you get used to, unfortunately. The sound of my heels is echoing around, one of guys who tries to catch my attention: trying to catch my attention by walking towards me, but I quickly dodge it before it became violent for me. I could tell he's instantly a bad vibe, the moment he yells after me. "come here, bitch!" I simply ignore it completely and walk my way to the destination, till I finally arrive.
The music is loud, the downbeats are heavily in tune; vibration after vibration is drilling on the floor, not to mention the red neon lights is darkening any possible of lights coming in. It sure do stretches to a migraine when you leave this place.
I open the door to the girls closet, and immediately greeted by a couple of females. Some of them is dancers, prostitutes and bottle girls; luckily enough, I'm a bottle girl. I smile a bit and inches closer to one of the tables, all the girls are getting ready or putting on a wig. I leave my coat and my purse on the desk; till my eyes meets a familiar friend of mine. Katherine is a worker like me, she is my 'so called' best friend. She is tougher than I am and knows how to put her foot down when it comes to men, basically the opposite to me. She loves wearing black leather to fear her audience whenever she gets the chance, and truthfully? I love it. I could always trust her or ask her for help if anyone dare to harm me. We have a secret code if things were to go south; either for me or her.
"Ninety-nine". Ninety-nine is our secret code for red alarm, and that involves anything that comes to men. It's pretty sad how much we have to protect ourself and not be able to do our job, but that's Gotham for you.
"I like how you matched your purse with the dress, light purple with light purple." Katherine said lightly with a friendly smile. "You look gorgeous Daisy."
I flash her a crooked-smile. "Thank you Katherine, so do you," I said gently. "The leather truly do show your angry side", We both exchange in laughter after my sentence.
"So have you thought about it?" Katherine asks as she grabs her gloves to prepare herself.

Manhattan. Have I thought about leaving yet?
"I have, yes." I said quietly, shrugging it off. "Haven't made a decision yet, I'll let you know when I do."
Katherine nods without looking at me, she's more focus on getting the gloves on. "It is a tough situation." I nod at her, although she isn't looking. She shrugs a little and grab her other gloves.
Katherine glances at me with a worrying expression. "Make sure to come back at seven. No excuse." she says demandingly. I chuckle and nod, watching Katherine walk out the room.
The thought of moving to Manhattan is replaying for days. Katherine didn't want me to go but she didn't want me to stay either. It's a tough decision to take, but not as hard than what I what I can imagine; I'm in Gotham. It couldn't get any worse than staying here. I truly didn't want to go out and represent myself to these.... Men. Half of them wants sex or to do drugs with you, or sometimes without your permission.
I take a deep breath and shakes it off the frustration from blinding up my nerves. It's not the time to think negative in a negative place, it'll add more frustration. I grab a piece of my hair strings, and flips it behind my ear with my fingertips, before inching towards the door. My palm slowly reach to the doorknob, until I hear panicking coming from the outside. They are all screaming, anyone who is possibly close to the door. I immediately stop my track, right in front of the door as my palm is reaching at the doorknob. My breath is slowering down, completely in denial from opening the door. I take three steps back until the doorknob start twisting itself and is quickly shut open. Whoever it is, shut the door aggressively behind them. My heart is raising out of my chest. I couldn't see who the person is because the shadow is covering the entire face. The only thing I could manage to figure out is the uniform, but it didn't look like anything I've ever seen before, but it's pretty noticeable it's a male. He's breathing heavily enough to lose conscious any moment, almost unbearable to watch him suffer. I want to ask him if he's doing alright, but his back is against me and for some reason he is wearing a black cape. The only thing I could manage is feeling the fear growing inside of me. I take another small steps backwards, until I couldn't help myself but simply just ask him.
"Are you okay?.." I ask, almost quiet enough to be heard; but I immediately catch his attention. His head were pointing down till he turns towards me. My eyes went wide open the moment I realize it's not just a normal person.
It's Batman.
I notice his face is bleeding but I didn't want to make it further known, I am more worried about wether he will hurt me or not.
He takes one step towards me with his right leg, but fell on his left knee. It wasn't hard to know that he didn't have energy or strength enough to get himself back up, he must've been badly hurt. I wasn't sure if its a good idea to help him; he is Batman after all. The rumors I have heard about him made it seem like he is a monster, so I didn't want to take the chances if they it's true. His breathing is slower than usual and I notice he isn't looking at me anymore, but instead on the floor.
I know what that means, either he's about to die or he will faint very soon. I seen too many dies and faint here, so it's very common to see it happening.
"Help me." I hear him say, more demanding and rough in his tone, but still almost out of breath. I nod quickly at god knows who, without asking any questions. I surely cannot ask Batman why he needs my help out of all people, now that I'm the only one in the room.
I take off my heels, knowing I wouldn't be able to carry it on. My feet quickly takes a few steps towards him as I grab one of his arm that's pressing against the wall, trying to hold his own balance from landing on the ground. Gently enough, I wrap his forearm around my shoulder.
"I need to pick you up. Try use as much strength as you can, and I'll use mine." I said softly, peeking at his black mask. Batman lifts his head and trails his eyes to mine; Blue mix with Crystal-grey, covered in black paint inside the mask.
They are beautiful.
"Who are you?" He mutters with a raspy voice, and if wasn't for the mask, I am sure he is furrowing his eyebrows at me.
I use my strength to pick him up from the floor, as he groans a little. It must be hurting somewhere on him, but luckily enough he add his own strength to help me as well. Luckily enough there is an exit door on the end of the room; a little further away from us but I still manage to pull him along.
"I'm Daisy." I mutter slowly, struggling to carry his weight with me.
