《In Lockdown With Them》Chapter 50: DON'T FORGET THE POP-TARTS!

I immediately shot out of bed and rushed towards my door without even thinking. I caught a glimpse of Blake running towards Cole's room the second I quickly opened the door and I followed right behind him. Cole's screams were still booming around the apartment.
I watched as Cole threw his head back against his pillow and moved in his place, "It hurts! It hurts! Make it stop!" He clutched his head.
Blake was right beside him, "Where? What hurts, Cole?" Blake asked, worry was dripping down his voice.
Cole let out another ear-piercing scream and shook over his bed, "I- I ca- my-" he couldn't stop moving his body as his back rested against his bed. His eyes were glassed with unspilt tears.
I rushed to where he was laying down while Blake tried helping him up, "It's alright, you don't need to speak, just point where it hurts, can you do that?"
"I- everywh-" he was clearly holding back more screams, "MY HEAD,"
I watched Blake's whole facial expression change as he quickly turned to me, "Olivia get the car keys and masks from the drawer in the living room. Now! Put your shoes on too."
He didn't have to tell me twice as I ran out of the room with a rapidly beating heart and blood that was so close to running cold. I heard shifting and screaming in Cole's room as I grabbed the keys and masks and slid a pair of slippers on.
Seconds later, I saw Blake and Cole leave the room with half of Cole's weight leaning against Blake as he helped him move towards the front door with me hot on their heels.
Everything from locking the door to running towards the elevator with Blake was a blur and I couldn't concentrate on anything but the sound of Cole's pained yells. I helped Blake rush Cole out of the elevator as soon as the doors slid open and we were quick to unlock the car doors and set Cole down on one of the backseats.
I sat down beside Cole as Blake briskly started the car and began driving off to the nearest hospital. I felt Cole clutch my arm tightly for half a second, a tear slipping past his eyes from the pain before he suddenly went limp, his eyes shutting as his head fell on my shoulder.
My heart stopped and I quickly looked up at the rearview mirror to see Blake's face, "Blake," My breath got caught in my throat.
Blake snapped his eyes towards us the second he heard my voice and noticed Cole go quiet. Raw emotion burnt in his green eyes and before I knew it, he was stepping on the accelerator and the car was almost flying from how fast we were going.
Blake kept passing every single red light since the roads were almost completely empty because of the lockdown and we were able to reach the hospital in no time.
As soon as the car came to a stop in front of the hospital's entrance, Blake and I flung the car doors open and took Cole inside. Blake called out for help the second we entered. He exchanged a few quick words with some nurses and Cole was being taken away over a stretcher in a blink of an eye.
Blake and I watched as they took Cole's unconscious body inside and I finally snapped, my whole body shook as tears poured out of my eyes.
More tears escaped my eyes as I felt Blake wrap an arm around me and pull me to his chest, burying my damp face in his shirt.

He didn't utter a single word as he held me tighter and led me towards the waiting room. I could hear his heart pounding against his chest and I could tell that he too was scared.
I couldn't get the image of Cole moving and screaming in his bed out of my head. What was happening to him? That couldn't be just a simple headache.
Blake made me sit down on one of the chairs in the almost empty waiting room and crouched down to the floor in front of me. He took my shaking hands in his trembling ones and squeezed them.
No tears were escaping his eyes at the moment but I could tell that he was on the verge of going crazy.
I tried my best to stop the tears so I could stay strong like Blake and I took a few shaky deep breaths while Blake just looked down at our intertwined hands.
A few minutes of silence passed before I broke it without thinking, "Do you think he'll be alright?" I whispered.
Blake looked up at my damp face and softly eyed me for a second. He brought a hand up to my face and wiped my cheeks over the mask with his fingers and knuckles. "I don't know," His voice sounded different than usual.
"He has to be," He later added in a barely audible whisper.
I stared at him and tried my best not to break down again. I was terrified of what could be happening to Cole. I wanted to know if he'll be alright. I wanted the doctor to walk in and tell us it was just a headache caused by his unhealthy sleep schedule.
I squeezed Blake's still-trembling hands in mine and he looked back down at them, kissing my knuckles and brushing his thumb over them. Although he had a mask on, my body still warmed up with affection at the gesture.
"I'm gonna go talk to the nurse," Blake whispered a minute later. I looked up at him and nodded my head. He stood up, kissed my head, and walked towards the nurse sitting behind some desk.
I watched as their lips moved but couldn't hear a word they were saying, they were too far away and I felt like my pulse was beating in my ears, blocking out all the sounds around me.
Blake came back a few minutes later and sat down next to me. "A doctor will be out to ask us a few questions and tell us what's going on," He intertwined our hands together again.
I turned my head so I could see his face properly and noticed him shutting his eyes close and trying his best to control his breathing. He was clearly trying to prevent what had happened a few nights ago from happening again.
I kept holding his hand and he would tighten the hold every few seconds just to make sure I was still there. A few minutes later, we saw a female doctor who looked around the age of thirty walk into the room and call out, "Cole Anderson."
Blake and I stood up quickly, which caught her attention. Blake was in front of her in a matter of seconds and I watched as they talked for a second before I made my way over to them too.
"... We'll be administering a CT scan that'll take around ten to twenty minutes and then we'll be keeping him under observations. Since when has he been having these severe headaches that you've mentioned?" She asked Blake.

Blake ran his still shaky hands through his hair, "I- The beginning of this month, I guess."
I thought back to the day of his birthday when he was feeling nauseous all of a sudden and was having a bad headache.
"Have you noticed any other changes during this period of time?"
Blake and I looked at each other, "He fainted two nights ago. He was feeling drowsy and dizzy the entire day and his face was pale. He went back to being okay after that though." Blake continued to inform her about everything that has happened this past month and about Cole's behavior.
After Blake was done talking and the doctor was done asking us questions, she nodded her head and dismissed us. Blake and I watched as she left and stood frozen in our spots. I turned my head to the side so I could see his face. My heart shattered into pieces when I saw the expression on his face.
He barely sucked in a breath and I nudged my hand with his hand, intertwining our fingers together and squeezing his hand reassuringly. He breathed and pulled me closer, using our interlocked hands. He stuffed his face in my neck and continued to try and take steady breaths.
"She told me he woke up," He whispered into my neck a minute later.
"When can we see him?" I asked.
He raked his fingers through my hair and sighed shakily, "After the CT scan and neurological exam- though I don't think they'll do the exam if they administer a CT scan,"
I held onto him tighter and he nuzzled his nose into me, neither of us uttered a word for a few minutes and just continued to hold each other in silence.
I felt Blake shake a bit every few seconds but he'd suddenly stiffen for a moment afterward to control himself from breaking down. I just focused on my breathing and the sound of Blake's racing heartbeat.
I felt him play with my hair at the back of my head, underneath the now-ruined crown braid that he had made in the evening, and I felt him relax again. He pulled back a moment later and stared at my face and the baby locks that were all around and over my face.
I noticed that a spot underneath his right eye, over his mask, was slightly damp and my hand automatically went up to make a move to wipe the area but my heart stopped when I saw Blake slightly flinch before I rested my hand over his cheek.
A frown took over my features and I looked up at his face as he closed his eyes and snuggled his cheek further into my palm. I continued to stare at him and knit my brows, was I seeing things a second ago, or did he actually flinch when I brought my hand near his cheek?
He looked fine now so I forced myself to brush past it because I was sleep-deprived and he might've just made a sudden move or something.
I watched as he opened his beautiful eyes and went back to eyeing my face and the messy locks surrounding it.
"Can I do something with it now?" He suddenly asked out of nowhere, eyeing my hair. "The braid is falling apart." His voice still sounded broken and I could tell he wanted to play with it to get his mind off of things so I nodded my head almost immediately, making his eyes crinkle, telling me he was smiling underneath his mask,
He kissed the hand that was intertwined with his, still over the mask, and pulled me towards the chairs. He pulled one of the smaller chairs that looked like stools in front of one of the chairs that were pressed against the walls and made me sit down on it.
He took a seat on the chair beside me and began gently unbraiding the crown. Once he was done, he raked his fingers through my waves to check for any knots and softly unknotted whatever was in his way. I felt him rest his chin over the top of my head when he was done and landed a kiss on it, "Half up or all up?" He asked.
"Hmm?"
"Do you want a half bun like Princess Ella or whatever her name is or a full bun?" His chin was still over my head as he asked that.
I chuckled weakly, "It's Belle Blake, and yeah, I'd like it like that please."
He hummed and kissed my head again, "Aight. Head up, Muffin." He placed his hand underneath my jaw to tilt my head up.
"Do you even know how to do this?" I questioned out of curiosity.
"I might have experimented on Lizzie..."
I smiled instead of laughing since a huge part of me was still depressed over the thought of what could happen to Cole, "Really?"
"Yeah, I tried so much shit on her but I wasn't able to braid it as she wanted. I did learn how to braid perfectly yesterday though," He said as he began working on my hair.
We stayed silent as he continued doing my hair. I fiddled with my fingers and waited until he was done. "Turn around, Livi," He said a minute later.
I turned around and looked at his face. I watched as he let a few baby locks loose and leaned back a bit to see my face. I could tell he was breaking down into a weak smile behind the mask because of the emotion that flashed in his eyes when he eyed my face and he leaned in to kiss my head, "Beautiful."
My chest warmed when I felt him duck his head and nuzzle his nose with mine since he wasn't able to kiss the tip properly with the mask in his way. He pressed his forehead against mine and wrapped his arms around me, embracing me tightly.
We stayed like that for some time before I felt him pull back and looked at something behind me. I turned my head around and we both stood up as we saw the same doctor from before entering the waiting room.
We made our way over to her in a rush. Blake was quick to ask, "Can we see him now?"
The doctor nodded her head, "We're done with the scan, he'll have to stay under observation for the next twenty-four hours though; that's how long it will take for the results to come out. The nurse will take you to him now. The maximum limit for visitors during lockdown is four but only two can stay in the room with him at a time. I think it would be best to inform an adult at this time. You mentioned his legal guardian is in another state... is there any other adult you can inform?"
Blake thought for a second and nodded his head, "Yeah, I can think of one. Can we just see him first?" He looked like he couldn't wait any longer and was seconds away from bursting.
She nodded her head and gestured for a nurse to lead us the way towards Cole's hospital room. Blake and I held hands the entire time and as soon as the nurse showed us the door, we were quick to fling it open and rush in.
We saw Cole lying on the bed, staring at the ceiling above him, nodding his head like a bored child. His lips were moving as we heard him rap some Snoop Dog song.
His head shot towards us when he heard the door slam shut and he grinned at us, "What's up motherfuckerssss."
............
"Is he under hospital drugs?"
Cole looked at us and threw his head back, "I fucking wish, I haven't gotten high since that night Jordan humped the shit out of a lam-" He didn't get to finish his sentence before I threw my body over his and hugged him hard.
He immediately wrapped his arms back around me and hugged me way more tightly, like he usually does when we're hugging. Half of my body was laying over his. I felt all the fear that was pent up inside me from the moment we entered the hospital leave my body as Cole hugged me and I sighed in relief.
But of course, he had to ruin the moment. "Oliver this is real nice and sexy, but If we stay in this position for a bit longer I think my dick will get ha-"
I pinched his arm to shut him up, smiling against his shoulder. My lips were tugged upward, even more, when I felt Blake wrap his arms around us and join in on the hug. "You little Fuckwhit," He muttered.
"The hell did I do?"
"You scared the hell out of us," I said, we all pulled back from the hug, Blake and I took our masks off.
Cole pursed his lips. "Oh." He looked up at the ceiling and began adding his head again, "Y'know they did a CT scan on me. That was cool." He said casually.
"Yeah, we know. How's your head?" Blake asked Cole, taking a seat on one of the chairs near the bed. I just sat down on the foot of the hospital bed instead.
Cole played with the gown he was wearing, "Fine, I guess." He stayed silent for a second and looked back at us, "Did you tell anyone?"
We shook our heads, "The doctor said it would be best to call an adult other than one of your parents since they're out of town."
Cole looked away, clearly thinking about a particular person, before shaking his head. "Do we have to?"
Blake nodded his head, "Yeah, I think so. Why?"
"I don't wanna worry anyone. Plus, I'm not calling my parents until I get the results. They can't fly here either way, right?" He asked us.
I thought about it, "The airports are closed, no one's allowed to leave their houses. I'm surprised they even allowed a four-visitors-limit rule here in the hospital." Blake nodded his head, agreeing to what I was saying.
"Also, it's not just about you worrying anyone, Cole, you need to call someone, none of us is eighteen yet," Blake added.
Cole sighed and looked up at the ceiling for the third time. He ran his fingers through his hair, "Mrs. Martin." He said out of nowhere.
"What?" Blake and I both asked at the same time.
"The adult- call Mrs. Martin." Cole said, "Or I'll just call her instead. I still don't get why we need an adult... can't we jus-"
"Shut up. No." Blake cut him off, "Do you have her phone number?"
Cole nodded his head, "Can I just call her in a bit? I don't wanna do that now."
Blake nodded and Cole let out a breath, "Thanks. Are there any visitor restrictions? Can you guys stay here till tomorrow or are you not allowed to?" Cole asked.
"We're not sure," Blake replied. "I'll go ask them now." He stood up. Cole and I nodded our heads and watched as he left the room, not before putting his mask back on.
"I'm bored," Cole said. "Can you move your ass here, please?" He tapped the spot next to him with a pleading look.
I smiled at him and scooted to where he was lying down on the bed. Cole fixed the bed so it could stand straighter and so we could rest our backs on it while sitting up instead of lying down.
I shifted in my place next to him and made myself comfortable before resting my head on his shoulder, I could hear him breathing calmly next to me.
"You tired?" Cole asked.
I shook my head and he rested his head over mine, which was still pressed against his shoulder. "What time is it?"
"Probably three in the morning or something," I answered tiredly. "Are you sure your head's alright now? Do you need anything?"
I felt him shake his head over mine, "I think I need to call Sarah- Mrs. Martin in a few minutes."
"Yeah," I agreed.
"When did they say the CT scan results come out?" Cole asked.
"Twenty-four hours, you'll be kept here under observation until then." He sighed when I said that.
I felt and heard him yawn beside me and I shifted my head to look at him, it was kind of obvious that he was exhausted, and for some reason, seeing him yawn caused me to yawn too. Cole chuckled at that and shifted his head above mine.
We sat in silence until Cole said, "I changed my mind."
"Hmm?"
"Imma call Mrs. Martin first thing tomorrow instead. There's no use in her coming now. I'm obviously fine and the results don't come in until tomorrow so I don't wanna wake her up and worry her in the middle of the night." He said.
I was still very confused as to why he chose Mrs. Martin out of all the other adults but I brushed it away for now. I couldn't help but agree with what he had just said; there was no reason for Mrs. Martin to come at this very moment in the middle of the night.
"Yeah, you have a point," I say the very second Blake enters the room with a frustrated face and takes off his mask.
"We can't fucking stay the night here," He grunted, walking over to us, not paying any mind to us sitting down on the same bed together.
I frowned, "What? Why?"
"The restrictions. Only one can stay with him because of the virus and shit."
I made a confused face, "Then you sta-"
Blake cut me off, "I'm not leaving you in the apartment alone, Livi." I saw him look at Cole with a certain worried look that told me he didn't wanna leave Cole, either.
"This isn't as big of a problem as you idiots are making it," Cole said, "Both of you go home, and then you'll come back at six or whenever the hospital's open for visitations. I'm sleepy as fuck now and I feel fine."
Blake stared at him with a trace of inquietude beneath his already stressed exterior. He clearly didn't want to leave him but it looked like he had no other choice.
Blake let out a breath and just looked down at the floor, probably trying to think of some other way. "We're supposed to leave now since there's no emergency and all extra visitors are supposed to leave before midnight." He ran his fingers through his hair, clearly giving up.
"Cole, they gave you pain killers right?" Blake questioned.
Cole nodded his head, "Yep. So there's nothing you should worry about."
