《In Lockdown With Them》Chapter 36: Excuse Me, Karen

"Hello?" I picked up my phone from where I was standing in the kitchen.

"Hey, Muffin, what's your locker's combination?" Blake's voice was slightly muffled by his mask. I could hear the sounds of students' bickering and yells from the other side of the phone and I just knew that he was standing in the middle of the school hallway.

Blake and Cole had left about six hours ago for school while I stayed home again because I still didn't want to go and I wasn't ready for it yet, even though today was the last day.

We all went crazy when we heard that the schools will actually be closing but we weren't that surprised, since they literally just mentioned that we're going into lockdown in a week. We were still clueless over whether the school year just ended because of the virus, or if we'll have to study on our own using our books at home, or online schooling- even though that sounds really alien to us.

"Why?" I asked.

"I need to get you your books so you can catch up on your studies," He answered. Oh, right.

"It's five, zero, seven," I replied before asking if it worked a few seconds later.

Blake hummed in response through the phone and goosebumps freaking raised all over my body at the sound of i- I wanna punch him.

"How are you feeling? Do you need anything before I head to class, Muffin?"

I do not wanna punch him.

Ovaries: you wann-

NO.

"I'm feeling alright, thanks. And no, I don't think I need anything else," I answered his question.

"Have you had breakfast yet?" He paused for a second before saying, "Wouldn't want you to be having an empty stomach while we're oscillating the unmentiona-" I hung up on his face.

He called again. I smiled a little as I picked up, for some reason, I was ecstatic that he was calling me. "Yes?"

"You didn't answer the question, Leprotta"

I think my soul just left my body.

"W-what?"

"Did you eat?"

I stared at the sandwich that I was making. "No, bu-"

"Why?" He was quick to interrupt.

"I'm making a sandwich now," I said, pursing my lips.

"Good kid," He hung up.

What the-

I didn't have any time to react before I received a text message on my phone from Huda and opened it. She had sent me Andres's number followed by a text message asking me how I was feeling.

I replied to her text with a smile and added Andres's contact to my phone, hoping we'd be able to talk later.

I finished making my sandwich and sat on one of the stools, thinking about multiple things at the same time as I took my first bite of the sandwich.

I've been absent for two days at school... which means I need to catch up with the fourteen lessons that I've missed on my own. I made a mental note to make sure I study everything later today after we go shopping.

After I was done eating my sandwich, I placed the dished in the dishwasher and headed to my room, checking my laptop for any COVID-19 news and closing it when I, thankfully, didn't find any.

I stared at the wall in front of me and thought about whether I should take a nap now or not since I didn't go back to sleep after the boys left the apartment, which was at seven-forty in the morning.

I thought about how I'll probably be needing the energy for shopping and everything and realized that I actually need to nap for a bit since I was already more than a little exhausted. I sent a message to Blake, asking him if Cole and he could wake me up half an hour before we head out. He replied a few seconds later.

B: Yessir. Sweetdreams... of my dick. xx *inserts heart eyes emoji*

O: What dick?

B: The one that's in between my tiddies.

I rolled my eyes and smiled.

B: Go sleep, Muffin. You'll be needing it... ;)

O: Pervert.

B: I never mentioned anything about sexual intercourse, Muffin. I'll make sure to get some holy water on the way so you could wash that naughty mind of yours... might also need it for after we sharpen the pencil.

Sharpen the penc- OH.

THAT LITTLE SHIT.

He never runs out of them, does he?

Damn.

I left him on seen as I shut my phone off and placed it on the nightstand beside me. I slipped under the comfy covers of my bed and closed my eyes, collapsing into a deep sleep.

¸,ø¤º°'°º¤ø,¸¸,ø¤º°°º¤ø,¸¸,ø¤º°'°º¤ø,¸¸,

"FUCK!"

"What the hell is going on?" I said groggily, rubbing my eyes and staring at Blake's bent-down figure as Cole let out roars of laughter.

"ANOTHER FUCKING REFLEX ACTION!" Cole yelled as he continued to laugh his ass off.

What?

I looked down at my fist when I noticed that it was hurting like a 'motherfreaking birch', as Huda likes to say.

DEJA FREAKING VU!

WAIT.

I looked back at Blake who was clutching his jaw.

I punched him when he shook me awake.

THAT WASN'T A DREAM?

Brain: Idiot.

Fist: Definitely an idiot.

"I'm so sorry!" I was quick to apologize.

Blake stopped rubbing his jaw, not that affected by the blow since he has definitely had worse. He was probably surprised by the sudden attack. I felt bad. "It's alri-"

"I FUCKING TOLD YOU... AGAIN. OH MY GOD! DEJA VU! DEJA VUUUU!" Cole yelled, his face getting red from all the laughing.

"Get the fuck out of here," Blake hissed.

"Last time I checked, It was Oliver's room... so-"

"Muffin, tell him to get the fuck out," Both of them turned to me.

I rubbed my eyes again and stared at them.

They just stared back, waiting for me to answer.

Complete and utter silence.

Blake raised a brow, causing me to let out an "Uhh..."

"Yes?"

"I need to pee,"

They just continued staring.

Cole frowned. "Yo, what the fuck.. SAME!" He left the room crouching down.

What the hell just happened.

I looked back at Blake who was staring at me with a grin. I rolled my eyes and lazily rolled out of bed, nearly collapsing on the floor and hitting my head against the nightstand from my groggy movements.

Blake's eyes were still on me as I pulled out a pair of sweatpants and a comfy t-shirt and sweater. I shifted my weight from one foot to the other and felt a blush make its way to my face from the thought of his eyes on me while I busied myself.

I discreetly grabbed new underwear and a bra and hid them between the clothes, "What are you still doing here, Blake?"

I heard him intake a breath when I said the last word and I furrowed my eyebrows from confusion. "Don't mind me, just here to watch. Though it'll be as if I'm not here at all, do your thing." I could hear the grin in his voice.

I turned around so my back wasn't facing him anymore. He tried hiding a wider grin when he saw my face and I bet a million dollars that it was because of the redness of it.

I narrowed my eyes at him and he narrowed his back, still grinning.

"I'm not changing here. I change in the bathroom."

"Damn it!" HE WAS STILL FREAKING GRINNING. "Then to the bathroom we go." He turned around and started walking out.

I shot my sweater at his back and he laughed, causing my heart to skip a beat. I loved the sound of it, his bubbly laugh.

He turned around, pursing his lips. "Come on Muffin!" he whisper-yelled. "We don't have that much time left. You gotta change!"

"Screw you," I grumbled.

"That's why we're both heading to the bathroom Muffiiiinn," Blake whined.

My eyes widened and I gasped. He grinned. "You can't tell me that one right there wasn't sexual!"

Blake licked his lips, "Nah, that one was a hundred percent sexua-"

I threw a pillow at him since I couldn't risk throwing my shirt which was covering my underwear. Blake gasped as the pillow fell to his feet after it hit his face and caused his front hair to fall down against his forehead.

"Andddd... we're back to your ninja pillow throwing skills! Damn. Throw another one so we could see how long the streak will last this ti-"

I threw another one. "Ah! There you go" He said after the second pillow fell to the ground. He blew his locks away from his eyes, just how Cole usually does, and looked back up at me. "Though that one was a bit too h-"

I hit him again. It honestly looked like he was only humoring me and could've caught every single one of them. The pillow fell, revealing Blake's adorable cheeky smile.

"I can't feel my nose anymo-" I threw one again but he ended up catching it, easily, might I add. He looked at the pillow and then back at me. "Oops, looks like I've ruined your streak again, FUCK!" His cute smile turned into a smirk. "Though, don't worry, I'm sure you'll rock it next time. Now.." He gestured for me to start walking out of the room.

I glared at him and walked out, he chuckled and placed the sweater that I had thrown on him a minute ago over my head, so it was now dangling over my face.

I stopped when I reached the bathroom and turned around, "Why are you still here?" I glared again.

"What do you mean?" Blake asked. "You're the one who suggested that you should screw-"

"Get out of my face,"

"Yessir." He ran away when he saw the look on my face.

"Good kid!" I yelled out to him with a grin, using his own words.

"FUCK YEAH I AM!" I heard him yell from his room.

I bit back my chuckle and stepped into the bathroom. I washed my face, brushed my teeth, combed my hair, and changed into my clothes before throwing them into the hamper and walking out of the bathroom.

"Ready, Ollie?" Cole asked me from the end of the hall.

I nodded my head, "Just let me get my phone."

¸,ø¤º°'°º¤ø,¸¸,ø¤º°°º¤ø,¸¸,ø¤º°'°º¤ø,¸¸,

"Cole put down the rope and pepper spray,"

"No,"

"Put them fucking down right now unless you want us to get escorted out of the damn market," Blake hissed from behind his mask.

"But they're my only weapons against the Karens," Cole whined.

My eyes widened. "Cole, lower your voice!" I whispered yelled at him. I was afraid someone would hear us and call the security.

Blake stood closer to Cole and snatched the weapons from his hands before passing them to me so I could put them in the backpack that we brought with us.

We were now standing in the middle of one of the aisles of the town's biggest supermarket, our trolly was filled with all kinds of essentials along with normal groceries but triple the amount that we usually get, canned foods, loads of microwave popcorn for movie nights, TONS of snacks- especially chocolate mini eggs, Cole's baking crap, millions of Arizona iced-tea cans for Blake, and more of Cole's baking crap.

All we needed now were tissue boxes, kitchen paper towels, toilet paper, and fruits.

Cole was acting as if he was preparing himself for war. He looked like he was actually ready to knock out some of the 'Karens'.

"When are we going in?" Cole asked dramatically, rubbing his hands together. "Do you think they already swiped all the asswipes?

"They said that the country is running out of them, but I don't think we're out of them just yet."

"Okay, let's go in." Cole breathed. "Give me the rope and pepper spray," He stretched his hand out to me since I had them in my bag.

"Cole why would you even need a rope? I get that the pepper spray is to blind them temporarily but the rope?" I asked before gasping, "Wait, Cole are you gonna, y'know... strangle them?" I whispered the last part.

Cole waved me off, "Pfft, of course not. It's just used to tie them up and drag them to the storage room."

I stared at them, "Please tell me you're kidding,"

Blake turned to me, shaking his head, "He's fucking not, so don't hand them to him."

"NO! Don't listen to him Ollie- You're on my team!" Cole whispered.

"Cole you'll get arrested!" I whispered back.

"No, no, I'll blame it on my Bipolar!"

Blake kicked Cole's shins, causing him to stumble, and slapped the back of his head three times, making him stumble even further.

"Let's just get this over with," Blake groaned.

"Fuck you, Méchant joue de fesses potelée." (Nasty chubby butt cheek).

I held onto Cole's shoulders from behind and started pushing him to the toilet paper aisle. "Thanks, Bunny," Blake whispered into my ear from behind me. I kicked his knee from behind and mentally gagged at that god-awful pet name.

Blake chuckled into my ear from behind his mask, seeming totally unfazed by the hit. We stopped walking when we were at the beginning of the aisle and I gasped. There were so many people in the aisle, most of them were women around the age of thirty to forty.

There weren't many packs of toilet paper left and half of the people that were leaving the aisle had TONS of huge packs in their trolleys.

"Oh fuck no," I heard Cole say from in front of me. "Fuuuuck NO!"

"Col-"

"LISTEN THE FUCK UP YOU MOTHERFUCKERS!"

Oh no.

Almost everyone turned their heads towards our direction. "I SWEAR TO GOD IF YOU GUYS DON'T STOP FUCKING INHALING THESE DAMN PACKS FOR NO FUCKING REASON, I'M SHOVING EACH AND EVERY EXTRA PACK INSIDE YOUR FATASSES AND I'LL ASSURE YOU YOU WON'T BE SHITTING FOR THE NEXT YEAR, YOU WON'T BE NEEDING THE SHIT ERASERS ANYMORE. IF YOU DON'T FUCKING PUT BACK THE EXTRA PACKS, I'M THROWING HANDS!"

Just when Cole closed his mouth, Blake opened his. "Kindly fucking put back all the extra packs that you know you won't be needed because there are still a thousand other people who are in need. Calculate how many you'll be needing instead of throwing a random unnecessary fucking amount in!"

Half of the people that were in the aisle gasped and glared and many others began to walk out but Blake and Cole discreetly snatched a few packs from the ones who had taken way more than needed. I mean, come on... thirty humongous packs? That's just called wasting resources.

Cole caught a woman who had ignored him and was continuing to add packs into her trolley and he didn't hesitate to walk over to her while Blake and I followed him.

"Excuse me, Karen," Cole tapped the women's shoulder with his sleeve covering his finger, so he doesn't risk spreading the virus onto her cardigan if he had it. She jumped slightly in her place after she felt his light tap, acting as if she were a child who just got caught stealing cookies from the cookie jar.

I pursed my lips trying to hold back my laughter, I could tell Blake was doing the same from underneath his mask because of the way his body was shaking and the way his face was getting redder by the second. Did he really just call her Karen?

"Yes?" The lady answered, looking at Cole with a confused expression plastered on her face.

Wait her name's actually Karen?

"With all due respect, will you chill the fuck down on those toilet paper rolls? You're not the only one who needs to wipe their ass after taking a shit."

The lady gasped loudly at Cole. "How rude. Show some respect young boy, I'm probably as old as your mom. I'm not just buying these for myself only! I have two children and a husband." The lady hissed.

"First of all, why the hell would I show respect to some Karen who can't even wear a fucking mask properly and is ganking half of the toilet paper in this whole goddamn store? I also did show some respect by saying with all due respect at first... so kindly, shut the fuck up. Second of all, do you and your family feed on toilet paper or something? Because if that's not the case then don't you think you should be a little more careful with what you're feeding them if they have the need to shit more than twenty times a day?"

The lady- Karen stood there with a shocked facial expression as Cole snatched six packs of toilet paper from her cart, leaving four for her, and placed three of them back on the shelf, throwing three of the smaller packs into our cart.

"There you go, every pack has twenty-four toilet paper rolls and I left you four of them, which leaves you with ninety-six paper rolls that should last you for more than three months. That should be more than enough for your lovely self and your other lovely family members. Now shoo, get away from this aisle before I throw feet bitc- terfly." You could tell Cole was giving her his widest and fakest smile underneath his mask by the way his eyes were squinting while he shooed her away.

"Such a disgusting and disrespectful generation, your parents made a shit job raising you, boy! I'm calling the manager!!" She yelled at the top of her lungs as she walked away from us.

"Oh sure, go ahead! Though I think you should stop by the fruit section on the way, I heard bananas help with explosive diarrhea! You might need them for the lovely children!" Cole yelled back.

That was it for Blake and me. The both of us burst into laughter while holding onto the shelves near us. I swear this boy is something else.

"What the fuck are you looking at?" Cole turned to the few people left in the aisle. Cole stared at their baskets. "Start fucking calculating."

He held onto our trolley and started walking away, expecting Blake and me, who were still laughing our lungs out, to follow him.

We walked behind him and I pursed my lips to control my laughter, "Do you think she actually went to call the manager?"

"Don't know, don't care." Cole beamed. "Now to the fruit section, let's hope we run into her again while she gets the bananas."

We did.

¸,ø¤º°'°º¤ø,¸¸,ø¤º°°º¤ø,¸¸,ø¤º°'°º¤ø,¸¸,

We all took our masks off and Blake and I let out huge breaths from the feeling of it off our faces, while Cole just tucked his into his pocket and stared at the window next to us.

I frowned as I looked at him through the passenger side's wing mirror, Blake was driving today because Cole wasn't in the mood when we left the apartment.

Why was he so silent. He was literally rambling happily with the cashier just five minutes ago when we were in the market.

Blake didn't start the car yet and turned his head to Cole, a soft expression on his face. "Cole?" He said.

Cole just continued staring out the window and ignored him. I looked back and Blake and saw that he was totally unfazed by Cole's behavior. Blake swiveled his head back in my direction and looked at me with the same soft look on his face.

I gave him a confused expression, silently asking him what happened. He just shook his head and gave me a small smile, waving it off, before squeezing Cole's shoulder and starting the car.

I gave Cole another glimpse before resting my head against my window and looking into the horizon.

When we reached the building, Cole silently got out of the car, left us with the groceries, and walked into the building.

I stared at Cole's retreating back before I felt Blake rest his hand over my back, "Mood swing." He whispered softly and I widened my eyes in realization. I totally didn't think of that.

"Come on," Blake lightly patted my back, "let's get the stuff inside."

I nodded my head and walked over to the trunk, grabbing as many bags as I could and leaving the rest of the bags for Blake, including the heavy one...

I mean if those biceps of his were able to carry my fatass multiple times, I'm sure they'll be able to carry the bags that had the rice packs, milk cartons, and other heavy shiz in them.

I looked back at him and saw that he did, in fact, manage to carry the rest of the bags over his shoulders and in his hands without showing a tiny bit of struggle on his face.
