《In Lockdown With Them》Chapter 25: Patience... Anakin

.................................................................................

"So we are going to the apartment?" I asked Blake when I saw that he was heading in the same direction as our building's street.

Blake chuckled, his eyes never leaving the road as he drove. "Just a quick stop, Muffin."

"Quick stop?" I questioned.

"Yep." Blake nodded his head and smiled.

"To drop me off?" For some reason, I was hoping he'd answer no...

I sought after his company. I actually wanted to hover with Blake Evans. I wanted to spend more time with him.

This is sad.

"Certainly not, Livi. I just need to pick a few things up, you're not even gonna go up with me. You," He paused as he parked in front of our building, "are going to stay right here."

He got out of the car, smirked at me, and said "I'll be right back." He didn't give me a chance to reply as he shut the door and jogged to the building, his brown hair flopping with the movement of his legs.

I smiled to myself as I watched him disappear into the building through the window. I purposely avoided the side view mirror that was in the corner of my eye; I still had my hair lifted into the ponytail that Blake had tied and I knew that I wouldn't be able to handle seeing my face right now, my hands would probably itch to tug at the rubber band and let my waves fall over my face and I really didn't want to do that now since Blake was so happy with it.

He'd glance my way every few minutes and smile at my face before saying something about untying it if I was feeling uncomfortable but it looked as pretty as it is when it's down if not more.

He's been acting unlike his usual cocky jerky self ever since we left the bathroom hand in hand. He's clearly in a more bubbly mood and is smiling nonstop rather than smirking like usual. It's even more adorable than Cole and Huda's usual cheery childlike behavior.

Blake showed up a few minutes later with a huge bag in hand and he saluted to me when our gazes locked while he was making his way to the car. He put the gigantic bag in the trunk when he reached it then jogged to the driver's side and got in the car.

"Where are we going now?" I asked Blake as he scrolled through his playlist to pick a song.

"Patience, Anakin..." He grinned at me then looked back down at the phone. "Wanna know what type of music is my shit?" He asked almost enthusiastically as he set the phone down after picking a song that still didn't start playing yet and starting the car.

A childhood memory struck my mind and goosebumps broke out all over my body from nostalgia the second the familiar guitar melody reached my ears.

Blake averted his gaze from the road for a second and turned his head towards me to see if I was familiar with the song and he smiled when he saw my facial expression.

He looked back at the road and started to softly sing along to the song's lyric when it started.

"Who's to say

What's impossible

Well they forgot

This world keeps spinning

And with each new day

I can feel a change in everything"

Happy tears were on the verge of escaping my eyes when I remembered how dad used to sing it to me and Luke when we were younger and how he used to play it perfectly on his guitar. I smiled widely when my favorite part was close to playing and I opened my mouth to sing along loudly with Blake who was almost screaming the lyrics of that one part.

"I WANT TO TURN THE WHOLE THING UPSIDE DOWNN!"

Blake jumped in his seat a little from excitement and I bobbed my head while we both smiled even wider as we continued singing along to Curious George's "Upside Down".

"I'LL FIND THE THINGS THEY SAY JUST CAN'T BE FOUND~"

"I'LL SHARE THIS LOVE I FIND WITH EVERYONE~"

"WE'LL SING AND DANCE TO MOTHER NATURE'S SONGS~"

Our eyes met one more time as we sang the last line from my favorite part...

"I don't want this feeling to go away..."

"Target?" I raised a brow at Blake when he parked in one of the vacant spots at Target's parking lot.

Blake unbuckled his seat belt and grinned at me, "Another quick stop, Muffin. Though, you're coming with me this time." He said as he got out of the car and nodded his head towards the entrance, still looking at me.

I didn't ask any questions as I got out of the car and shut the door behind me, knowing that it would be no use to question him since he wouldn't answer my questions and would just reply with something along the lines of, "Patience is a virtue, Muffin." instead.

I knit my eyebrows when I saw Blake walk towards the clothes section and then pause when he noticed that I wasn't next to him. He turned around and raised an eyebrow at me, gesturing for me to walk in front of him.

I sighed and mentally shrugged as I walked towards him. He smiled when I reached him and nodded his head towards the plain t-shirts and pants section. "Pick..."

"What?"

"Pick any t-shirt and pants, make sure they're comfortable." He walked to one of the stands and grabbed himself a plain black t-shirt and then searched for a pair of sweatpants.

"Why?" I knit my eyebrows even more.

"Just pick, Muffin. Patience you must hav-"

"Okay, okay," I cut him off before he could say another Star Wars quote. I grabbed the nearest white baggy t-shirt, since he mentioned that the clothes should be comfortable, and got black leggings to wear underneath because the shirt was kind of too long and reached past my mid-thighs.

"Done," I said, turning to Blake who was throwing gang signs as he stared at himself in the mirror. He had put on some blue and red spiderman children's sunglasses along with a Dora The Explorer purple hat on his head and a Ben 10 Omnitrix watch on his wrist.

"Blake?"

He turned his head towards me, the small Dora hat falling off his head from the action. "Yuh?"

"What are you doing?" I stared at the accessories he had on him.

He pursed his lips at me and shrugged, "I got bored. Are you done?"

I nodded my head and he clapped his hands together from excitement. He took the accessories off quickly, put them away, and then grabbed my arm and gently yet hurriedly dragged me to the cashier.

Blake paid for the crappy t-shirts and pants and then asked one of the employees if it was okay for us to change into the clothes that we bought in the place's dressing rooms. The employee nodded and Blake turned to me, giving me the t-shirt and tights that I had chosen and telling me to go change and be quick.

We both went into the changing rooms and came out of them a few minutes later wearing the cheap plain clothes. Blake, of course, managed to still look like a freaking model with the crappy material on him. The black shirt clung to his rugged chest in a way that complimented his muscles and the sweatpants perfectly fit him.

Me on the other hand, I don't really know how I look like since I tried my best to avoid the huge mirror that was installed on one of the walls in the dressing room. But I felt comfortable in them and my estimation of the length of the t-shirt was right, it reached right above my knees so it didn't give me a chance to feel self-conscious of my thighs.

"Ready?" Blake asked.

I nodded my head yes, "Ready,"

"Stay still, Muffin," Blake whispered into my ear.

"Is this really necessary? I can just close my eyes." I asked him as he fixed the blindfold over my eyes.

"Can't risk you seeing the surroundings and then knowing the directions to the certain spot we're heading to," I felt him let go of the back of the blindfold and heard him take a few steps forward so he was standing to my side.

"Walk," He simply said before I heard him walk away in god knows what direction.

"What?!" I exclaimed.

I heard him chuckle and then heard the sound of his approaching footsteps. "I'm kidding, Muffin." Suddenly, I felt a pair of arms wrap around the back of my thighs, and in a matter of seconds, my head was upside down and my body was resting over something hard...? His shoulde-

Oh my god!

Did he just-

"Blake?" I said calmly.

"Hmm?" he replied as he started walking.

"Did you just throw me over your shoulder?"

"Yep," He answered so coolly.

"..."

"..."

"Okay." My voice was still collected.

"..."

"..."

"..."

"JESUS FUCKING CHRIST! What the he- OW! Chill the frick down, Muffin. Oh my GOD!" Blake screeched when I suddenly started to slap his back repeatedly with my palms and fists.

"Let. Me. Down. You. Little. Crap." I said each word in between slaps.

He grabbed both my hands with his right hand, the one that wasn't pressing my legs against his chest so I wouldn't fall, and chuckled. I felt the vibrations hit my body. "Calm down Livi, we're almost there."

Oh my god.

This is embarrassing.

I'm going to break his back.

HOLY SHIT- MY FATASS IS GOING TO BREA-

"Aight. We're here, Muffin." Blake patted my back and I was on my feet in a swift motion.

He untied the blindfold from around my head and I was about to attack him and attempt to kill him the second the material was off of me but I stopped when my eyes caught the breathtaking view before me and I gasped.

Holy cow.

We were standing on top of a hill, the view of the entire town of Rosewood was on full display along with the trees surrounding it and the pines in between the houses and buildings. The whitest fluffy clouds were floating up in the painfully blue wide and woeful sky.

I looked around me and noticed how there were a few ruins around us on the hill that we were standing on. A few broken columns, large and small rocks, and ruined walls that looked like they were so close to falling apart. One specific wall caught my eye and it was the only one that didn't look like it was on the verge of falling. It was massive and only the top left corner of it was destroyed.

I turned around to face Blake who was sliding the huge duffle bag off of his shoulders and knit my eyebrows.

He looked up at me and smiled when he noticed my gaze on him. "You like it?"

"Yea-"

"Great." He said as he slung the duffle bag back over his shoulders, "We can leave now." He started to walk away.

"Wha-"

He chuckled, "I'm just kidding Livi. That's two points for Blake and zero for Muffin." He turned around and walked back towards me.

I'm so confused...

He gently grabbed my shoulders and lead me to the gigantic wall. We stopped walking when we were standing right in front of it and Blake slid the bag off of his shoulders again and crouched down as he started to open the zipper.

"Now, Muffin, I don't really know what the 'zombified piglin' said or did to you in the bathroom but I know that it gives you the urge to stab her repeatedly and slice her tits off, but we can't really do that right now since we don't really wanna go to jail before frickle-frackling~" He smirked at me as he said the euphemism.

I rolled my eyes. "But... believe me when I tell you, there's another way to let those... urges out." He continued as he started to pull huge bottles of paint out of the bag.

I perked up a bit once I figured out what we might be doing but then remembered I don't know jack shiz about painting. "We're going to paint?"

Blake chuckled at the face I was making, "Not exactly."

"What do you mean?" My eyebrows pinched.

"You'll see. Here, hold these." He gave me two big bottles of paint to hold.

He pulled out a huge brush and a small cup from the bag and stood up from crouching down. He poured some black paint into the cardboard cup and then set the bottle down before dipping the brush into the paint and taking a step closer to the wall.

He brought the paintbrush to the wall and started drawing a few lines and circles. He stepped back a few minutes later and stared at the wall with concentration, he looked like he was calculating something in his head.

The wall now had an oval drawn on it and a few massive circles and lines surrounding it. The oval was huge but it still left plenty of space around it since the wall was extremely vast.

"Okay, so over here..." he took a step forward and pointed the brush at the center of one of the circles he had drawn, "will be the dark colors," He marked the letter D on it before taking a step to the side and doing the same thing to space in between two of the lines that he had also drawn.

He did that to a few other spots before marking the other spaces with either the letter L for light colors or I for intermediate.

"Done." He smiled when he was finished marking the last spot. He turned towards me, "Ready for the exhilarating part, Muffin?"

I nodded and he clapped his hands together before turning towards the bottles of paint and pouring each one into mini buckets that I didn't even know we had with us.

After he was done pouring the colors into the buckets, he got two other even bigger paintbrushes from the bag and gave me one. I eyed the brush in my hand and then looked back up at Blake, still having no clue what I'm supposed to do.

Blake pointed at the buckets and I just realized that he had grouped the dark colors like maroon, emerald, dark red, dark pink, indigo, plum, and other gloomy colors, all together and the lighter tones like white, baby blue, light yellow, lavender, beige.. were grouped together and separated from the intermediate and dark shades.

"Splash." He simply said.

"What do you mean splash?" I asked.

"Dip the brush into whichever color that you want," he dipped his brush into the maroon paint, "hold your brush up to the side," he held the brush up in the air, "and splash." he dashed the paint on one of the spots that had the letter D marked on it. "Try to avoid the oval though..." he grinned when he said that.

I nodded my head and eyed the colors, picking a color. I dipped my brush into the pale yellow paint and did exactly what Blake had done a minute ago. I smiled as I watched the paint swash across the gigantic wall; that was really satisfying, for some reason.

"There you go," Blake whispered with a smile when I rotated my head to see his face. He told me to go on as he crouched down to the bag and picked something from the front pocket of it... a wireless speaker?

He connected it to his phone and put the devices down after blasting music from the speaker and turning the volume up.

He dipped his brush in the paint once again,

"Let's get this shit STARTEDD!" He yelled and I laughed.

He gestured me to splash with him and we both started dashing the paint onto the wall like freaking maniacs while laughing our asses off like two toddlers because of the fart sounds that the paint made every time we dipped the brushes in it.

Blake and I kept 'accidentally' splashing the paint onto each other's bodies every few minutes and I now realized why Blake made us stop at Target to change into crappy cheap clothes first.

A few minutes later, I stopped for a second and watched as Blake danced like a lunatic and flopped his hair all over the place as he sang along with the music blaring from the speakers. His black shirt had a few splashes of the blue shades swashed across it from when I was dashing the blue shades onto a certain spot on the wall.

He looked so carefree and adorable, smiling as he splashed the paint all over the wall excitedly while he jumped up and down and shook his booty a bit to the music.

I think he noticed that I had paused and he stopped what he was doing, his back still to me, and he dipped his brush into the red paint before dashing it back so it could hit me. "Focus Muffin," I just knew he was grinning and holding back a laugh.

I screeched when the paint hit my chest and he turned around and gave me an innocent look. "You little-"

He cut me off by splashing more red paint onto my face, most of it hitting my mouth and chin.

His eyes widened and his mouth hung open before he crouched down and started laughing his butt off. "I was aiming for the chest but this is even better!" he said as he laughed.

I squinted my eyes at him and dipped my brush in the indigo paint, not even bothering to wipe the paint off of my face. I was aiming for his face but the paint slabbered across his chest when I dashed it instead.

He stood up straighter, still laughing, and looked down at his shirt. He smirked for some reason, then looked back at my shirt. "Damn Livi... It's like you're almost asking for it!" He tilted his head at me.

I gave him a confused look, not knowing what he's talking about.

He pointed at his shirt and pants that were covered in blue paint, then pointed towards mine, which mostly had red paint on them.

Still don't get it.

He took a step closer and widened his grin. "Wanna make purple?"

My eyes widened and I splashed the remaining paint that was on the brush onto his forehead. "You did not just say that."

He laughed and also splashed the small amount of paint that was left in his brush against my cheeks. "You should have seen it coming, Muffin. That could've been the most predictable thing of me to say. But would I pass the perfect opportunity to say such a line? Fuck..." He brought his hand to my left cheek, which had the most paint on it, and brushed his fingers against it, "...no." he smeared the paint that was on my left cheek against my forehead.

My heart rate accelerated at those two simple gestures and I was overwhelmed with the feeling so I pushed him away with my palms and quickly dipped my brush into another color, making sure it's not blue, and splashed a load right across his chest, neck, and left cheek.

I grinned at his face then turned around to face the wall and continued dashing the paint onto it, ignoring Blake's deep sexy chuckle coming from behind me.

After my second splash, I looked up at the wall again and realized that every marked area was now covered in splashes of paint and we were done. The sun was beginning to set. I eyed the paint that was on my brush and thought it'd be a good idea to try and back-splash Blake just like he had done to me a few minutes ago.

I struck the paint backward and smiled mischievously when I heard him let out a yelp and then chuckle.

"Tsk, tsk, tsk... Bad Livi~" Blake said deeply, "You shouldn't have done that, Muffin." I heard him whisper before I was suddenly tackled to the ground.

I looked up and almost shrieked when I saw how close his face was to mine. He was now on top of me, his knees on either side of my hips and his hands on either side of my head, holding his weight up so he wouldn't crush me.

I breathed and he smirked as he eyed the red paint that was still on my left cheek. He brought his face closer to mine and my heart was palpitating so wildly that I wouldn't be surprised if it popped right out of my chest this second.

He tilted his head a little and moved his head a bit to the right, so his lips were now brushing my ear. I felt him lean his left cheek that was covered in yellow paint against mine and shake his head, causing our cheeks to rub against each other smoothly because of the paint. What the hell is this boy doing?
