《In Lockdown With Them》Chapter 19: Déjà Freaking Vu.

"Hey, Olivia!" I heard a voice call out from behind me as I was making my way to the cafeteria.

I turned around and searched for the owner of the voice and found Ashton walking towards me waving his hands to catch my attention.

I smiled kindly at him and greeted him, "Hey, what's up?"

"Hey, I was just wondering if you could tell me what time you're free to work on the project. I asked Tracey but she really doesn't seem to give a shit so I think we're going t have to work on it without her, which I'm not really complaining about, to be honest." he shrugged.

"Oh, yeah. Sorry, I totally forgot about it. Uh- actually, I think I'm free today?" I answered though it came out more like a question than an answer. I tried recalling if I had anything planned for this evening and then answered again. "Yeah no, I'm free today."

He smiled. "Great, so am I. My parents won't be home until midnight so we can work on it at my place?" He suggested.

I gulped a little. I don't know why, but the thought of being all alone in his house didn't really make me feel that comfortable, though I didn't know what to say and I didn't want him to think I was creeped out by him so I just said, "Uh, yeah sure, what time?" without really thinking.

Damn it, Olivia. What the hell is wrong with you? You don't just say yes to hanging out with a boy you don't know that well when you know you're going to be alone. Ugghhhhhh,

"I'm not sure, is it okay if I text you an answer after school? I'll send you the location with it too."

"Yeah, okay. You have my number, right?" Why am I still talking? Should I just like... zayn? Tell him you don't wanna go- I can't though. Why? I don't know, I just can't.

He nodded his head, his eyes averted to something behind me for a second, and then went back to looking at me. "Okay, then. That's kind of all I had to say, I guess I'll see you later. Thanks."

"No problem, bye!" I replied before the both of us parted ways.

I continued walking towards the cafeteria, trying not to freak out about the thought of going to Ashton's house later today. I forced myself to stop thinking about it, Ashton seems like a polite boy and he really doesn't seem like the type to try to make a move or something with me when I arrive at his house.

I stepped foot into the cafeteria and spotted Huds looking all enthusiastic talking to the lunch lady as she scooped Huda's food into a tray, wearing a bored expression. She looked like she was internally begging god for Huda to disappear so she wouldn't have to listen to her overly cheery voice ramble more.

I chuckled and smiled as I walked over to where she was standing. "... can you believe that, Henrietta? Dad then told me that since Harris had done whatever he wanted with me, which was him punching me for calling his gaming skills weak, it was only fair for me to do whatever I wanted with him. And so, I cracked my knuckles and did that neck cracking thing too- just to look dramatic and- wait, funny thing... I actually ended up hurting my neck and was this close to becoming paralyzed, but I'm all good now, thanks for asking- ANYWAYS, I barged into the mother trucker's smelly room, my chest filled with all the pent up rage from all the beatings I had gotten from that stinky shitnugget in the past sixteen years of my life and I-"

The lunch lady cut Huda off by slamming her tray against the counter and sliding it to her, muttering something under her breath and then telling Huda she could go now. Huda's face fell, though it was clear that she was trying not to show that whatever the lunch lady had said under her breath and the tone she used to dismiss her had affected her. She nodded her head, grabbed the tray with her shoulders slumped a little, mumbled a small thanks, and turned around, walking away from the mean lady.

I frowned and scowled at whatever the lunch lady's name is when she looked at me, thinking I was waiting for my turn after Huda. I turned around and caught up with my best friend, stopping in front of her when she didn't hear me calling out her name.

She looked up and smiled her wide smile when she saw me, the hurt expression she was wearing a few seconds ago long gone. "Livi-pooh!"

I smiled back at her. "Hey, sorry I took longer than usual to get here, I crossed paths with Ashton Tuffin and he wanted to tell me something," I explained as we both walked over to an empty table.

"It's no problem." She smiled then looked down at her food, absent-mindedly playing with it using her fork.

That's weird. She wasn't talking about her weekend like she usually does on Mondays. She also didn't look as bright as she normally is, it kind of reminded me of that one week she came to school looking all drained because of her intake of the Methylphenidate pills earlier this month. I'm glad she stopped taking them, I didn't like Non-energetic Huda.

I frowned at her for a second and then brought a small warm smile back to my face. "So, what happened after?"

She looked up at me and scrunched her face up in confusion. "What?"

"What happened after you barged into Harris's room?"

Her facial expression completely changed and she jumped a little in her seat from excitement, an even wider smile had found its way on her face in a matter of seconds. She didn't even ask me how I knew about that, she just continued telling the story,

"I barged into the room and attempted to tackle him to the ground but ended up feeling like I ran straight into a brick wall and stumbled a few steps back, but THEN, then I recovered, and I was ready to knock the shit out of him. I stretched my arms out, tucked my thumbs inside my fists, just how Leanord taught me to do before throwing a punch, and then-"

"Wait pause, pause. Who the hell's Leanord?" I furrowed my eyebrows. It's hard to keep up with the names of the people Huda tells me about since she meets about a dozen new people every day.

Also, Isn't your thumb supposed to be on the outside of your fist instead of being tucked in so you don't end up breaking it?

"Hobo number three," Huda answered nonchalantly.

"Oh, the one with the purple-stained wife beater and a missing pinky finger?"

"No Olivia! That's Norman, Hobo number ten! Focus girl, Jesus Christ." Huda scolded me.

I held back a smile. "Sorry, go on."

"Wait, where was I?" She looked up at the ceiling, a thing she usually does when she's trying to remember something.

"You tucked your thumb inside your fist, just how Leanord taught you." I reminded her before adding, "By the way, that piece of information is wrong, please keep your thumb outside your fist the next time you decide to throw a punch at your older brother, you can end up breaking it."

Huda's eyes widened and her mouth formed into the shape of an 'o'. "That's whyyy~" She made a facial expression that made you think she just finished cracking a code in her head.

"That's why what?"

"My thumb hurts like a mother freaking birch, anyways- back to the story: I tucked my thumbs inside my fists and threw a perfect punch at Harris's face- okay, no, that was a lie... he's too tall for me to reach his face BUT, I was able to punch his chest repeatedly. BUT YOU KNOW HOW THE BIG SHIT REACTED? YOU KNOW HOW HE REACTED OLIVIA?" She yelled.

"How did he rea-

"He started laughing and saying 'That tickles' repeatedly! LIKE EXCUSE ME YA LITTLE SHIT... I PUNCH YOU WITH ALL THAT I'VE GOT AND SWEAT OVER YOU AND YOU GO AHEAD AND SAY IT TICKLES? I'LL SHOW YOU WHAT TICKLES... DOES DEATH SEEM TO HIT A TICKLISH SPOT IN YOUR BODY? I DONT KNOW... THERE'S ONLY ONE WAY TO FLIPPIN FIND OUT, I GUESS." She took a deep breath in and narrowed and stared at nothing, seeming clearly pissed.

I chuckled, "What happened after that?"

She went back to smiling, "Oh nothing much, he just knocked the shit out of me and sent me to a whole other dimension." She shrugged and took a bite out of her food.

I burst out into laughter at the way she said it and she just kept smiling brightly at me while chewing.

We kept chatting about random silly things for the rest of the lunch break since we didn't really have anything to say about our weekend anymore because I had already told Huda every little detail on what happened on Friday at the party when she called me the morning after, asking me to 'spill'.

I was lying in bed talking to Luke on the phone when I heard the loud scream coming from what I'm guessing is either the kitchen or the living room.

I jumped a little in my place on the bed and quickly got up, telling Luke I had to go before hanging up on him and rushing out of my room the same second Cole let out another scream from the kitchen.

Blake flung his door open, a confused and slightly worried expression painted on his face. We both looked at each other with furrowed eyebrows for a second, him silently asking me what's going on and me silently telling him that I had no idea.

We both rushed towards the kitchen and found Cole standing there, staring at the kitchen island which was filled with loads of baking ingredients and chocolates and candies with narrowed eyes. He opened his mouth, his posture still relaxed and his face calm yet focused, I'm guessing he was about to let out another scream but then I cleared my throat and he noticed the two of us standing by the frame.

He smiled as he looked up at us. "Oh hey, children."

"What the hell is going on?" Blake asked.

"I need help picking which dessert I should bake." he gestured towards the ingredients on the kitchen island.

"Are you fucking kidding me?" Blake let out a breath and pinched the bridge of his nose.

"No, I actually need help p-"

"You couldn't call out our names like a normal human fucking being instead of screaming like a dying cow?!" Blake looked like he was ready to bash Cole's head against the counter.

Cole shrugged. "You wouldn't have come immediately," he explained in an obvious tone. "Anyways, I was having trouble choosing between the Nutella peanut butter cookies, blueberry cheesecake, Oreo cheesecake, and tarts."

Blake just ignored him, rolling his eyes and walking out of the kitchen, muttering a bunch of profanities under his breath.

"You rude little shit." Cole narrowed his eyes at Blake's back.

"Fuck off," Blake yelled out before slamming his bedroom door.

I bit my tongue to contain my laughter and walked towards the nearest counter, hopping onto it. "Nutella peanut butter cookies would probably cause diabetes but I'm curious as to how they would taste," I answered his question from earlier.

Cole looked at me and went back to smiling, "They taste awesome~ I've been craving them for such a long time. I've been craving the others too but I think I'm going to make the Nutella peanut butter cookies since they're the most fun to bake."

"When are you going to make them?"

He shrugged. "I dunno. I think maybe in a few hours. I just got the ingredients out because...- I actually have no idea why I set the ingredients on the table." I chuckled the same minute Blake stepped foot into the kitchen again.

Cole crossed his arms over his chest. "Ah, lemme guess... you couldn't go on with your day knowing you disrespected Cole Anderson like that and felt like you would suffocate if you don't come back and apologize to him for being a piece of-"

"Shut the fuck up. I wanted a banana."

"Suree~ Imma just act like I believe that and the reason wasn't that you simply couldn't live without me," Cole said as he started putting the ingredients away.

Blake ignored him and rolled his eyes as he walked over to the counter I was sitting on, stopping right in front of me when he was only a few inches away.

For some really pitiful reason, my stomach was going just a bit crazy because of the proximity of his body and I felt like my cheeks were on the verge of tinting.

Damn freaking hormones, I'm not even on my shark week yet.

Blake took another step closer to me, looked straight into my eyes without uttering a word, and reached his hand out to pick a banana from the basket right beside my hip, his eyes still glued to mine. Just when I began feeling a little too flustered, he smirked, winked like an idiot, and peeled his banana, walking to the kitchen island in front of me while taking his first bite of the fruit.

Déjà freaking Vu.

I looked away and averted my gaze to my Star Wars trooper socks. I wanted to punch myself so badly at the moment.

I don't get it... I really don't; he always used to mess with me when he came over with Fred and Justin last year. It never left me this flustered though, it just annoyed me. But now, now it both annoys me and leaves me looking like a freaking tomato.

It's just the hormones, Olivia. Don't worry. It's. Just. The. Damn. Hormones.

Ovaries: sureee sweetie... go ahead and blame us, it's tota-

Shut up. I'm so not in the mood for an argument with my organs right now.

Damn, I just realized how weird that sounds. I seriously have some issues; I sound like Aunt Becky on cocaine.

"I'm bored~" Cole whined as he hopped onto another counter. "Ollie, do you wanna go spray paint a penis on Rob's h-"

I cut him off before he even thinks about finishing that thought. "As much as I'd love to do that, I have somewhere to be in an hour," I said, remembering the text message that I had gotten from Ashton an hour ago, agreeing with me on meeting up at 5 pm along with sending me his house's location.

I felt the same uncomfortable feeling in my stomach when I remembered the part where the both of us will be alone in his house.

Blake raised his brow. "Damn it, really? Where? Is it important?" Cole asked.

I nodded my head. "Yep. I have to work on the chemistry assignment with Ashton Tuffin. Tracey won't do her part so the both of us have to do some extra work."

"Oh, where are you gonna do it?" Cole asked curiously.

"Uh- his house. His parents aren't home so-"

Blake's head shot up towards me and he dropped his banana on the kitchen island. "What?!" the both of them yelled out in unison.

"What?" I questioned back.

"You can't go there," Blake blurted out, straightening his posture. Cole's eyes were still widened.

"Why?" Okay, I'm not gonna lie, it's kind of dumb of me to ask that... I mean, even I wasn't sure if I should go or not.

"Y'all are planning on committing fornication on the freaking books or something? You don't just go to a random dude's house knowing the both of you are going to be alone!" Cole said way too loudly before Blake could answer.

Blake nodded his head and looked at me with a serious expression. "Olivia, trust me, it's not safe. I w- Luke wouldn't let you take such a risk. Our school's filled with pervy boys who know nothing about the limits. 'My parents aren't home so we can work on the homework peacefully' actually means 'my parents aren't home so you can scream my name as loud as you want while I attempt to rock your world but end up collapsing after the first two minutes' in their heads".

Cole nodded his head up and down vigorously as he hopped off of the counter and walked over to where I was sitting. He grabbed my shoulders and looked me dead in the eyes. "You. Can't. Go."

Blake crossed his arms over his chest and leaned against the table right in front of us. He was looking at me with an expression that was hard to describe- he looked focused, serious, and not too calm at the same time.

"Hello? Ollie?" Cole shook my shoulders, stopping me from continuing to gaze at Blake.

I sighed and looked at him. "I was thinking the same thing when he asked me but..."

"But what?" Blake asked from behind Cole, his face still holding the hard expression.

"I- I don't know. I just couldn't say no for some reason." I said in a small voice.

Cole sighed from in front of me. "Yeah no, we're gonna have to change that, Oliver. Next time a dude even tries to invite you over to 'study', kick him in the fucking nuts and break his penis so he wouldn't be able to ask any other girl that question ever again. Got it?"

I nodded and smiled a little. "Got it. But what the hell do I do now? We have to work on the assignment and we already agreed on meeting at 5." I asked them both, frowning a little.

"Simple. Find a public place to work on it, like a café, library, park..." Blake trailed.

The park sounds good, I guess. "But how do I tell him? What if he gets irritated when he hears that I want to change the plan at the last minute?" I ask them.

"Then you should definitely kick his balls. Why would he get irritated if he simply just wants to study?" Blake shrugged.

"I- but what do I say?"

"Give us your phone." Blake took a few steps closer, so he was now standing beside Cole.

"What? Why?"

"We'll text him; don't worry, we won't tell him it's us." Blake held his hand out so I could hand him the phone. I sighed and pulled out my phone, unlocking it before giving it to Blake.

I honestly felt extremely relieved and thankful that I won't have to go through the risk of being alone in a house with Ashton. I feel slightly bad for feeling this way toward a sweet guy like Ashton, but you truly never know.

Cole ducked his head so he could look at what Blake was typing. "Where do you want to work on it?" Blake looked up at me to ask.

"Uh- the park sounds good," I answered.

He looked back down at the phone and mutters, "The park it is."

"Ooh, ooh! He answered!" Cole exclaimed a few seconds later. His eyes skimmed through the screen then the both of them looked up at me after Blake finished typing something. Blake locked the phone then handed it to me with a relaxed and calm face.

"He doesn't mind." He simply said.

I sighed a sigh of relief. "Thank you."

Blake just nodded his head in response. "I can drop you off if you're in need of a ride; I'm uh- I'm meeting someone up in the café that's close to the park."

I just realized that I really am in need of a ride, it's weird that I didn't think of that earlier. "Really?"

Blake nodded his head again. "Tell me when you're ready to leave," he said as he began walking out of the kitchen.

"Thank you!" I yelled out as he disappeared from our sight.

"No problem, Muffin," I could literally hear the smirk in his voice when he said that awful pet name.

"Wait, no!" Cole said out of nowhere, still standing a couple of feet away from me. "This means that neither of you will be here to make the cookies with me? You little shits."

I just shrugged at him as I hopped off of the counter to go get ready. "Sorry."

"Whatever, I don't even need or want any company." He grumbled.

Sure.

Blake and I hopped off of the motorcycle once we arrived at the park and I ran my fingers through my hair to fix what the wind had done with it. I think I've grown to love riding that death machine.

I wasn't as scared because one, I had gotten used to it. Two, I was too focused on enjoying the feeling of the wind hitting my body to freak out. And three, Blake had bought two new black helmets, and wearing one made me feel a little safer.
