《Adopted On Tour》Part.8

"Thank you and goodnight!" Gee shouts into the microphone after finishing Famous Last Words. The crowd goes wild as the band leaves the stage. I had watched the entire concert from the side of the stage, just hidden from the crowd.
James was backstage with Panic! and Fall Out Boy. Pete runs past me like a hyper child and jumps onto Mikey, wrapping his legs around his boyfriend's waist. Correction, James was backstage with Panic! and 3/4 of Fall Out Boy.
"How'd you like the show, 'Via?" Gerard asks, attempting to put an arm around my shoulders. I slip away with a smile
"It was great, but you're all sweaty and I've already been attacked by Panic! and Pete's sweaty after show bodies." They laugh in response and ruffle my hair.
"We're gonna go hit the showers!" Mikey calls, hand-in-hand with Pete.
"Oh hell no!" Gee turns to shout. "Wentz get the fuck away from my brother!" The singer turns and jogs towards the two bassists, grabbing their hands and prying them apart.
They separate, laughing and Pete comes over to me, joining me on my walk backstage.
"Gee is going to smack you one of these days" I say with a laugh.
"No doubt about that" Pete agrees as we walk into the lounge backstage.
The two of us stop when we see Ryan, red in the face, march over to Brendon, pull him down and kiss the other boy. Brendon wastes no time in responding, cupping Ryan's face with one hand and grabbing his waist with the other.
I avert my eyes, looking at Pete with a slightly shocked expression. He just grins, looking back at the couple before someone clears their throat. I see out of the corner of my eye that the hand Brendon had on Ryan's waist had traveled down. The two brunettes break apart and Ryan blushes.

"Oh gods" Ryan mutters, still blushing when he sees me in the doorway. "Brendon you just groped me in front of a thirteen year old!"
"Ryan" Pete cuts in before Brendon can say anything. "She's twelve."
"That's worse!" He says, hitting Brendon's chest lightly. I laugh, moving around the couple to sit by James.
"Wait you're twelve?" Brendon says, confused.
"I turn thirteen next month" I reply with a grin.

little while later and we're all on the road again, our next destination is on the other side of the state.
"How are you liking living on a tour bus so far?" Ray asks. Right now it's just the two of us in the front of the bus. James I'm in his bunk and Avery and the rest of the band are inside a rest stop getting Lynch's bc stretching their legs.
"It's... interesting" I say, remembering everything that's happened on this bus in the past three days.
Mikey walked into the main room in boxers, Gee and Frank have had five or six heated make out sessions, Bob has burnt his elbow on the stove, and Ray has tripped over Avery's shoe and got syrup in his 'fro.
"Fuck" Avery says, entering the tour bus from the gas station. He drops a magazine on the table in front of where I'm sitting across from Ray.
The cover page displays that it's Teen Ink magazine and there's an image and a headline in the bottom corner. The image was of the three bands, myself, James, Avery, Nick and AJ at the diner three days ago.
Ray grabs the magazine before I can read the yellow headline. He flips to a page, skimming over it and groaning. James comes jogging in from the back of the bus with a laptop in hand and a grin on his face.

"James! The paparazzi found out about Olivia" Ray says as James sits down next to me in the booth.
"Already?" James says, as if he had expected it.
"Yeah, but they think she's Gee's long-lost kid or something" Ray comments.
"Really?" I say with a little laugh.
"Yep. The headline reads "Another Way?" You'd think that they could be more creative. The article is mostly speculation about you and wondering if you're Gee's kid or not. They do mention the tour at the end." Ray reports, tossing the magazine onto the table.
"Too bad, 'cause I just got an email from the court. They've granted the adoption" James says, turning the laptop and showing me the email. "You're officially Olivia Ann-Sarah Martin." I smile widely and throw my arms around James in a hug. I may have squealed a bit too.
"I heard screaming" Bob says, walking in and sitting on the couch next to the booth.
"James got the adoption finalized" Ray says, turning to look at Bob.
"Congrats" he says with a smile and I finally pull away from James.
"Thanks Bob" I say before a thought comes to my head. What do I call James now?
"H-hey James?" I don't really know why I'm stuttering, but my head is ducked and my stomach feels a little tight. Anxiety. Of course.
"Yeah?" He responds, looking at me with the corners of his lips turned down slightly.
"Wh" I clear my throat in an attempt to gain some confidence. "What do I call you now?"
James pauses for a second before answering "Whatever you feel comfortable with kiddo." I smile and lean towards James, resting against him as I start thinking.
"C-Can I just call you dad?" I ask after a while.
"If that's what you feel comfortable with, then go ahead sweetheart." James replies, ruffling my hair slightly.
"Aww" Frank says, coming in from outside and sitting down next to Ray, Gee following him.
"Why are we all crowded around the booth when there's a huge couch in the back?" Gerard asks, standing next to Frank.
"Because before everyone came in, it was just Olivia and I." Ray responds as Frank and I stand up, letting Ray and Ja-- Dad out. Avery, who was sitting on the empty couch across from the booth and the couch Bob was sitting on, and Bob stand up as well.
The seven of us go into the very back of the bus where Gee, Ray and I end up sitting on the floor. Not even five minutes later, Mikey comes in with pizza. We left the dividing curtains open so he can see all the way back to where we are.
When he gets back here, Mikey sets the two large and one small sized pizza boxes on the ground in between Gee, Ray and I. Two boxes of hot wings are handed to James and Bob and the small vegetarian pizza is handed to Frank. Mikey sits down across from me on the other side of the pizza boxes. I open the pizza boxes and everyone who isn't James, Bob or Frank dig in.

System Only Gives Me Useless Gifts
Li Yun grew up with a system that gave him useless gifts. He wanted a reward that could prove the existence of the system, but ended up with abstract gifts like culture. Without physical proof, he was stuck wondering whether his mind was truly sane, all the while dealing with the reality of life. How will the "useless" system help Li Yun navigate medical school, hospital politics, criminal cases, treasure hunting, farming and cooking? Author's Note: This is a slice-of-life novel about a doctor with a mission-type system. It's written as a faux modern Chinese novel, so there are many 1-off characters and episodic mini arcs. Just a bit of warning, the tone of the story is very different after the childhood arc and jumpy as it chronicles Li Yun's life. I'm trying to make it less apparent in the rewrite, but there are still a lot of time skips. RR is the rewrite version, no set schedule. See webnovel for OG. scribblehub is a combo of both . I recommend scribblehub since it has pictures. Copyrights of the novel and cover are owned by Chocomug. Novel is free to read and download for personal use, such as offline reading, only.
