《That teacher Who Saved Me / Adopted By Gerard Way》10

It's time for my therapy session.
the same questions as always 'how are you doing today?' And stuff.
"If you get better you will be realized next week." She said looking at me.
Next week? Really? I can get out of here? Oh my... Yas!
Even though I don't know what will happen to me and where I will go. Adoption Center I guess.
The idea of me in an adoption Center is kinda funny in my mind. Because no one will want me so I will just sit there.
Be a weight to the world as always.
Just wasting space.
After the session, I went to my room laid down on my bed and just stared at the ceiling.
It's time to visit Laysa but today I'm actually planning on taking her out for a couple of hours.
As I stepped into the already familiar psych ward I went to the front desk.
"Hey, I talked to the lady who was here yesterday, and I came to get Laysa Craigson out for a couple of hours."
"Yes of course she'll be here in 5 to 10 minutes."
"Okay." I went and sat waiting for her.
"Laysa here are your clothes get ready you will go out for a couple of hours." One of the staff's said.
Out? Where? With who?
I put on my clothes it was nice wearing skinny jeans and not scrubs.
I had on the clothes that I wore THAT day.
My chem hoodie and black skinny jeans.
I didn't have anything else.
I went to the waiting room and saw Gee sitting there.
A warm smile growing on his face.
He filled some papers where he had to put his phone number and stuff so I could get out for a couple of hours.

As we stepped out of the building I felt a big relief. It was the first time I had went out of the building and it felt really nice.
When I saw a familiar car I couldn't help but smile.
The strong smell of coffee welcomed me as I opened the car door.
It was comforting, to be honest.
"Where are we going?" I asked putting on my seatbelt.
"I thought we could get something to eat and then well see... If it's okay with you of course." He said starting the engine.
"Yeah, but where are we going to eat?" I asked but feeling like I was really annoying after asking.
"I know a place, there's great food and coffee." He said happily.
The Way he said coffee made me giggle lightly.
We arrived at the diner. It didn't look promising outside but on the inside it was amazing. It looked like a hippie has made it. Heaven a hippie heaven. It looked really nice and cozy.
We sat down and the waitress gave us the menus.
There were so many options to choose from.
I decided on a simple pasta. I haven't eaten it in a long time but I really like pasta.
After a while, we got our food and started eating.
"So why did you get me out?" I asked while taking a sip of my coffee.
"I just felt like it would be fun for you and me."
"Oh okay."
"I am going to get out next week. Well... Maybe I don't know that for sure." I said in a happier tone.
"Oh, that's great huh?"
"Well maybe." I said looking at my now half-empty plate.
He looked like he was zoned out for a minute or two.

We ate our meals and he suggested going to a nearby lake for a little walk.
I agreed, back with my parents I used to go for walks alone quite often.
I hopped into the car and we began driving to the lake. The radio was on but the volume was turned really low.
The smell of coffee, windows being half-open, and green day playing with Gee quietly humming along. It felt really comforting. I felt happy. It felt peaceful.
The corner of my mouth lifted up and I took a deep breath to smell the coffee one more time before stepping out of the car.
"I like coming here because there are usually not many people here."
"Oh, I'm definitely fine with that." I said giggling.
He started to laugh slightly not in a mocking way.
His laugh made me smile it was somehow comforting.
We walked and chatted until we saw an ice cream truck.
"Do you want to get ice cream?" He asked excitedly.
"Yes." I answer smiling widely.
I don't remember when I last ate ice cream plus something cold would be great since I'm wearing a hoodie in the summer. But I don't have much choice even if I had more clothes with me I can't show my arms.
"Which one do you want?" He asked looking at me.
"The strawberry one would be great." I said shyly tugging at my sleeves and looking at my shoes.
"Okay then, one strawberry and one vanilla." He said to the ice cream guy.
As we got our ice creams we went and sat on a nearby bench.
"How ya feeling? Everything okay?" He asked suddenly.
"Yeah, I like being out of the ward and spending time with you." I said glaring at the lake.
"I like it too." He said wrapping an arm around me softly.
I usually don't like physical contact but from him, it felt peaceful.
We finished our ice creams and started to walk back to the car.
It was time for me to go back to the ward.
As much as I would love to spend more time with him today I have to go back.
When I'm getting out and going into the adoption Center, will he visit me there as well? Well, I don't even know where I'm going. Maybe away from New Jersey. Even tho I don't want to go away from New Jersey.
We sat into the car and immediately letting down the windows because it was so hot in there.
He turned up the volume a little. I felt free at that moment but I knew that in around 15 minutes I will be stuck inside again.
As we were driving I couldn't help but wonder how important Gee was to me.
"I will visit you tomorrow as well okay but on Tuesday I cant come... Sorry, I would really want to but I have a meeting." He said.
"Okay you don't have to visit me, I don't want to keep you away from your life." I said shyly.
"You're not, and I want to visit you. I care about you." He said as we pulled into the ward parking lot.
We got out and walk inside. He said goodbye and I hugged him without realizing it. He wrapped his arms around me for a long hug.
"I will see you tomorrow." He said stepping out of the door.
