《Camp Closeted》12. A GBF's GBF

Benny awkwardly stood at least 3 ft away from me as his mouth moved side to side, his arms crossed as he looked like he was thinking about what to say to me.
I began to button my shirtless body up as I stared at him, amused. I felt a rising temptation in laughing at the awkwardness but he finally broke the silence.
"I'm about to do something I've never actually done in my whole life before, so you should feel somewhat thankful." Benny's voice was low as his eyes shifted left and right, not meeting my deep gaze. "I'm going to apologize." I rapidly snorted, making him unconsciously crack a smile.
Benny quickly tried to hide his smile with a serious look, only making the both of us explode out in complete laughter. "I hate you, let me speak." Benny's hands went over his face as I began to notice how taller I was than him. "Ima keep it real, I overreacted yesterday. And I guess I was just annoyed that I liked Miles for so long and he noticed you before me. So, sorry I guess." He shrugged.
"Don't even apologize." I smiled as he playfully threw me a disgusted as I hugged him, his head forcefully going against my chest. "I was so scared to lose you as a friend Benny. Not even going to lie, you're the very first genuine friend I've ever made in my life." I whispered.
"Well you're genuine friend is suffocating." Benny coughed into my shirt as his face was completely buried in it because of my tight hug around him. I chuckled deeply as he pushed me away. "Damn boy what you got on? You smell like a full course meal, almost made me forget about Miles for a second."
"You like it?" I asked about my cologne. "I wanted to dress casual but smell classy since I don't know how the bonfire is gonna be like."
Benny threw his head back as he evilly cackled. "Oh honey it's gonna be musty as hell. Logan and I made it sound like everyone's just gonna bring out their camping chairs then peacefully sit and watch the bonfire from afar when that's literally not the situation, at all."
My eyebrows raised as Benny continued speaking. "Okay so what the bonfire is, is this major event that every single camp around here has to do and Camp Closeted is the first one to host it this year. It means a lot of hot ass people from other camps are gonna come here for it."
My mouth was left widened as I finally replied. "Wait, so it's not just a huge relaxing hang out?" I asked.
Benny waved his hands no as I sat down in bed, rethinking my choice in going or not. "Oh bitch It's far from a relaxing hangout. It's basically a huge event where people get fucked up, dance all up on each other, make out, shit some even leave and do the dirty." My mouth widened even farther as I only knew about this now.

"B-Benny I've never been to a place like that before." My voice was shocked as I had to sit down on my bed. "I don't think I wanna go anymore."
"What?" Benny snapped his neck back at me as his lips crinkled in confusion. "Why?"
"I'm not a party person." I shrugged, anxiously biting my lip as he let out a loud groan in annoyance.
"Micah how do you know you're not a party person if you've never been to a party before?" He asked. "Honey you need to go out and live! Just stay with Logan the whole night and you'll be fine."
"Is there gonna be alcohol?" I ran my hand through my hair as I laid back against my bed.
"Knowing Cadence is gonna be there, most likely that and some of that good good." Benny replied, making me tiredly sigh. "Not to be a bad friend or anything, but why not get fucked up right?"
"Benny!" I half-laughed. "You want me to smoke and drink? What the hell."
"I'm not saying that. Look I'm just saying, if it comes down to it, whatever happens after you choose to get fucked up, will make one hell of a story." He grinned, making me laugh as I looked to the side.
"You seem to know what you're talking about." I laughed as he shyly shrugged. "Do you relate to this somehow?" I teased him as he shyly hid his face.
"Listen, I may or may not have been getting too turnt every bonfire and ended up inside a bush the next day but that's not the point." I immediately exploded in a cackle as he innocently shrugged again.
"Oh my god Benny, you're secretly so bad!" I shook my head at him in disbelief. "You've woken up inside a bush before?"
"Yup, inside a big ass bush." He softly responded, looking around in hopes no one hears him. I remained quiet, trying to imagine Benny inside a bush, which made him speak out again. "Don't judge me! I see those eyes!" He widened his mouth at me. "Logan is a bad influence, honestly, truly."
"Okay please don't tell him I asked you this, but do you think he likes me?" I asked quietly.
"Well Logan never told me to keep it as a secret so ima just tell you that all he had told me about you was he thinks your cute." He breathed, sitting besides me on the bed. "It's obvious he's hella thirsty for you though. I see him looking at you all the time!"
"I see it too!" I exclaimed our eyes meeting. "I just really only like Logan as a friend though. He's cute but I don't like him that way."
"Cus both of y'all are bottoms." Benny casually let out making me nudge him on the shoulder.
"I am not." I felt my cheeks anxiously heat up as I wasn't sure if Benny was right or not.

Benny threw me a funny look. "Bitch please, you so are, and it's not a bad thing." He quickly looked down. "What is this?"
My mouth slightly widened as he pulled out a note that was inside my thick blanket. "Is that another note?" I furrowed my eyebrows down.
"What?" He asked curiously. "You mean you've been sent more than one?" He straightened out the crumpled paper as I sighed.
"Well yea, this is only my second note." I watched him straighten it out. "I never see anyone leave it though, it's so weird."
"Seeing you very soon, whether you like it or not." -Lover Boy
"Damn!" Benny covered his mouth with his fist as he threw his body back on the bed. "He's trying to set up a dick appointment Pretty Little Liars style!" I narrowed my eyes at him.
"Benny it's not." I pulled the other note up and gave it to Benny to read. "This person is literally threatening my life." I half-laughed.
"I doubt it's anything serious." Benny simpered, crumpling the note and throwing it behind him.
"Benny can I ask you a question?" I quickly got up, straightening out my shirt as he looked at me. "I know I might be a basic shallow Ken doll, but do you think I'm at least decent looking?"
Benny threw me a are-you-serious look as I smirked at him. "You know what ima keep it real with you, you are fine." He spoke again, probably noticing my smirk widen. "Now Micah don't let it get to your head now because you know I can and will drag your ass to hell if your head get big."
I nodded slowly. "Yes mom." I teased, rolling my eyes at him as I looked out the window to see the sunset.
Benny and I waited for Logan to come at the cafeteria as someone apparently wanted to bring Benny to the bonfire, so Benny decided to come to the bonfire also which made me so happy.
"This boy betta be fine or I'm skurting my ass back to my bed." Benny loudly yawned as he looked at the time.
I watched as the night sky began to take over the sun as we continued to wait on for Logan and his friend.
All of a sudden a familiar voice came from behind us. "Sorry we took awhile guys, band practice took such a long time, but we're here now." Logan cheered, making us look back towards him.
I felt myself loudly exhale as my eyes landed on Logan. His white hair was messily fixed in the most attractive way possible as he wore shorts with a bright blue floral shirt that wasn't buttoned up at all, exposing his insanely defined abs that I never knew he had.
Benny slightly moved his sun glasses down at Logan's really tall friend who had curly black hair and captivatingly tan skin. He also wore shorts and wore a black floral shirt that was only buttoned up until his chiseled chest.
"Forgot to tell you guys that the bonfire theme this year is Luau, sorry." Logan cheekily smirked as he walked closer towards us. "Also this is my friend from band, Keanu. He's new here."
Benny unconsciously let out a loud moan as he quickly cupped his mouth with his eyes widened in embarrassment. "Erm me gerd." He spoke into his mouth as I couldn't help but laugh. "How can someone be such a daddy." He sharply whispered.
Keanu's plump red tinted lips formed a small warm smile as he offered a hand shake towards Benny. This boy was earth stompingly gorgeous and he knew it.
Benny muttered under his breath only for me to hear. "I'm actually about to pass out." He cried, returning Keanu's hand shake. "I'm Benny. Oh god that's a strong grip." He spoke louder now as his eyes widened at Keanu.
"Keanu." He let his name out with his incredibly deep and masculine voice, flexing his sharp jawline as he nodded.
As Keanu and Benny talked to each other, Logan began talking to me. "You look good." His bright eyes sparkled as his long lashes batted towards me.
"Thanks." My cheeks slightly flushed at his compliment. "You too."
"You guys ready to go?" Logan smiled as everyone nodded in response, proceeding to walk out the cafeteria and to the bonfire.
Even from the cafeteria the music was already booming around us, the roaring fire brightening up the dark sky as we were all very excited for tonight.
After minutes of walking, we finally arrived to a huge field of flat green grass as I scanned the countless tables that had drinks and snacks.
My eyes just fluttered at the large crowds of people dancing to the music as the gigantic bonfire quickly caught all of my attention. "Wow.." I let out.
"I don't know about y'all but I'm trying to be a wasted mess tonight." Benny stuck his tongue out as he laughed, shaking his body to the song that was playing. "Excuse me while I get myself some drinks, y'all want some?"
"Benny this isn't our first bonfire together, you already know I want some." Logan smirked as he looked at me. "Are you gonna drink or you're okay?"
I smiled to myself as I looked around me. I didn't know what it was but it feels like something just clicked and I felt a sudden rush of excitement. "There's a lot of people here, I figured drinking is the only way I'm going to be able to stand them, so bring on the drinks!" I nodded, happily raising my voice.
"Alright." Logan looked up and down at me, slightly surprised. "You heard him Benny!"
My face softened at the people around me as I couldn't help but think about what this night could possibly hold for me.

In that one the year 2000, I could not imagine things could get any worse. But the nightmare would continue for the next few years... culminating in a suicide attempt in 2019. Now, I am connecting with others, building relationships, and finding a reason to live again. I am writing my own story of my life.
