《Camp Closeted》6. No Homo Though

"I really don't wanna mess your pictures up." I let out, breaking the awkward silence as I walked through the forest with Andrew.

He glanced at me, moving his wide lensed glasses closer to his face as he smiled. "Don't even worry about how the pictures will turn out. Just look around and I'll take pictures of you."

"J-just look around?" I raised an eyebrow as he nodded. "Anywhere?"

He chuckled softly. "Yes, anywhere." Andrew all of a sudden stopped walking, birds chirping around us as wind gently brushed against our bodies. "This looks like an ideal place."

When we turned towards each other, I finally noticed how tall he was compared to me. "O-okay." I replied, trying my best to not look awkward. "Do you think you can talk to me while you take pictures, you know, just to not make it awkward." I added, anxiously biting my lip.

"Yea, sure." He nodded with a smirk, moving his camera closer to his eye as it pointed towards me. "Say, wenis." I rapidly choked on air.

"What?" I laughed loudly, hearing the camera click.

"Aww, look at your smile." He grinned widely as he showed me the picture, making me playfully nudge him. "You have such a baby face."

"I hate my smile." I threw the picture a dirty look, proceeding to focus on something else.

"You shouldn't, I think it's adorable." Andrew let out, preparing to take another picture as I felt my cheeks begin to slightly burn up.

After taking countless pictures, Andrew and I finally decided to go back to the camp as we watched the sun start to set.

"I really appreciate you letting me take pictures of you." Andrew spoke beside me as I looked down, hearing branches and leaves break beneath my feet. "You were pretty good for your first time."

Just before I could've responded, another voice quickly appeared from the distance. "Almost thought you were gonna take all day!" A tall boy with brown hair smiled, his dimples showing off as he quickly ran and kissed Andrew. "I missed you."

Oh.

The boy's hands snaked around Andrew as he responded. "Well I'm back. Just had to take pictures of one of the new guys for the camp year book." Andrew smiled, turning towards me. "Micah meet Leo, Leo meet Micah."

"What's up dude." Leo threw me a nod.

"H-hey." My voice came out quietly. "Well this was fun, thanks Andrew." I let out, rapidly turning away and proceeding to walk away as fast as possible.

I couldn't decide if I was bothered at all. My emotions were very conflicting to determine. Clearly I'm very inexperienced in human interactions because the way Andrew acted towards me made me think he was single.

Not that I'm not happy for him being with someone, but wow, I'm just shocked for some reason.

As I prepared to walk back to the cafeteria to check if Benny and Logan were there, sharp whispers being made in an alley in between cabins slowly caught my attention.

"It's not bad I swear, just hit the fucking pen." Cadence deeply chuckled, another voice appearing.

"I-I really don't wanna do it." They spoke sullenly, my eyes revealing that it was Sascha.

Sascha looked genuinely scared as Cadence's arm caged him against the wall. "Maybe that's why no one talks to you, you're so boring." Cadence's eyes met mine, only for a second as I quickly looked away, heading towards the cafeteria.

Something in me told me to freeze, which probably looked awkward if someone was staring at me right now, but I still did.

Cadence's voice continued to emit from an audible distance as my head slowly turned towards him and Sascha.

"Um guys, is there a problem here or something?" God I sound so stupid, why did I say what I just said sounding like that.

Cadence's eyes pierced through me as his arms let Sascha go. I could tell he didn't take me seriously as he let out a quiet chuckle to himself as Sascha took advantage of the situation by rapidly walking off.

"Why no." Cadence began to slowly pace towards me and I couldn't help but back up which fueled his ego even further. His cloudy hair bounced perfectly on his chiseled face as he finally got up a feet from me "Life is too short to have problems." He devilishly smirked, proceeding to smoke again as I wasn't quite aware of where this was going.

With quick thought and unsteady breathing, I turned and proceeded to walk away before anything else happened.

"Micah I wanna cry." Benny let out, crinkling his face as his head fell onto both of his hands.

"What happened?" I pursed my lips at him as he began to cry without tears coming out. I couldn't tell if he was pretending or actually about to cry.

"Okay don't turn around yet because it's gonna be obvious we're talking about them. But the reason why I wanna cry is because the group of boys behind you are so fine that it makes me so mad!" He whined.

I turned around to see the group he was inner crying about, Benny immediately hissing behind me because of my stubbornness. "Are you for real? What did I ever do to deserve this betrayal." He gave up, flailing his arms in the air.

I quickly realized the group he was looking at included Jesse. He was wearing a loose navy blue shirt that had no sleeves, his defined biceps visibly commanding attention as Benny spoke out again.

"Damn bitch you want binoculars!? You're making it so obvious!" Benny smacked the back of my head as I cackled out loud.

"Why don't you just go up to them and talk to them?" I slowly looked back towards Benny.

"Oh because you would right? Plus what would I even say? All they talk about is sports and what type of protein shake they drink." Benny sighed.

What he said quickly lit up an unknown part in my brain.

I'm done.

My mom was right.

I'm so fucking exhausted of always keeping to myself and being so scared to talk to anyone. I'm so done with doubting myself and always bringing my confidence down.

"I'd go over there and talk to them." I grinned slowly, Benny snapping his neck back and raising both of his eyebrows at me.

"I don't know what type of holy ghost came over you but okay, let me see it." Benny crossed his arms as he slowly leaned back towards his chair. "Just promise me you won't be cringey."

"I am not cringey." I defended, then taking a deep breath as I looked down at the table. I finally got enough energy to lift up my body off the table as Benny laughed to himself.

I finally turned around with my eyes closed, continuing to breathe deeply as I was wondering what to say once I do get there.

The second I began to start walking, I felt my body hit against a tall wall. But instead, exchange that tall wall to skin, to a strong masculine skin that radiated cologne.

It was Jesse.

"Hi." His reddened lips smirked, his ocean blue eyes piercing through mine as he bat his long black lashes at me.

"Hi." My mouth dropped as I was caught so off guard with how close he was to my body.

"You okay?" Jesse huskily asked.

"I'm okay. Are you okay?" Oh god why do I sound like such a robot.

"I'm doing great." His body began to slightly brush against mine as his smirk was widening.

"Great." My cheeks were insanely red as my heart began to beat faster.

"Cool." He licked over his lips.

"Cool." I breathed heavily. "You're a little too close don't you think." I slightly pushed him away, not being able to suppress a smile.

"My bad, no homo though." He teased as I rolled my eyes at him.

"Shut up." I laughed.

A voice spoke behind Jesse, making his eyes shift to the side but keeping his body only an inch away from mine. "Aye Jess we playing ball or what?"

"I'll meet you guys there." He responded, a strand of slick black hair effortlessly falling down his blue eyes. "C'ya." He winked, ruffling my hair as he began to walk away.

"Oop!" I slowly turned back towards Benny, his face completely and utterly shocked. "The sexual tension was too damn much, Micah." I remained quiet.

"Just finished band practice, what's up guys?" Logan's energetic voice appeared out of nowhere, both of us remaining quiet as we watched him sit down on the table, throwing all of us a confused look.

Benny finally spoke. "Well our good friend Micah over here is literally 1 step away from getting dicked down." What Benny said quickly snapped me out of it.

"What? Ew." I chuckled. "Not even."

Logan's face looked slightly bothered for some reason. "By who?"

"Jesse Rezeti." Benny sipped out of his cup as Logan almost went ballistic.

"Shut the fuck up, no way!" Logan's mouth dropped at me.

"Mhm." Benny agreed. "Not as fine as my bae, my boo, the love of my life Miles though." He let out a noise of sadness. "I would kill just to hug that fine ass man!" His fist rapidly struck down on the table, making me flinch.

"This is terrible." Logan laughed. "Can we not cry about boys we don't have a chance with and talk about something else?" Everyone remained quiet, making Logan speak again. "Are you guys planning to attend the Bonfire this weekend?"

"Hell no!" Benny shook his head as he furrowed his eyebrows down. "Last time I went, the bonfire was too damn big and I felt my skin get seared from 20 mountains away."

"Benny don't exaggerate, no one ever gets close to it anyway. They sit far from it and watch it from a distance." Logan laughed as Benny rolled his eyes to the back of his skull.

"I don't know, I just find that so wack. Why would I wanna watch a huge pit of fire when I can just go to the theatre room and watch a movie or something." Benny insisted not to go, all of a sudden turning towards me. "And Micah you're being too quiet."

I slowly licked over my lips as I sighed, processing that weird encounter with Jesse. "Sorry, I'm probably just tired." My hands ran over my face as I began to stand up. "I'll see you guys tomorrow."

I shuffled my body around the bed as I couldn't sleep. The bed was incredibly comfortable and it was complimented by soft fluffy pillows, but for some reason I just couldn't sleep.

"Psst." A noise above me quickly let out, making me tense up in shock. Jesse's head hung down as his bright blue eyes pierced mine. "You awake?" He whispered, his voice coming off deep and sleepy.

"No, I'm sound asleep why?" I sarcastically replied back, making him chuckle to himself.

Jesse remained quiet and snatched his head back. I was confused as I began to hear commotion going on his bed.

All of a sudden, Jesse quietly and carefully hopped down from his bed, only wearing grey sweatpants. I couldn't help but watch as the moonlight shining from the glass windows perfectly defined his chiseled body, his soft snowy skin almost glistening at me.

Out of nowhere, I was without a doubt caught off guard as my tired eyes widened at Jesse whom was getting himself underneath my blanket. "It's so cold, move." He hissed, his bare skin touching against mine. "You sleep shirtless too huh?" He asked as I was forced to move to the side.

I remained quiet for a moment as his warm skin brushed against mine. "Well yea." I muttered quietly, awkwardly shifting my eyes left and right.

A long period of silence came over us as I felt like I was about to have a panic attack. "This isn't fair." Jesse announced, breaking the awkward silence between us.

"What?" My voice came out softer than I intended.

"You're bed is a lot more comfortable than mine." He looked up as I looked directly at him, observing every single aspect of his perfect face.

"That sucks." I quickly threw myself a dirty look since I'm godawful at conversations.

"Yea. I guess I'm just gonna have to sleep here more often." I didn't have time to respond to what he just said since he already spoke again. "How are you having trouble sleeping on a bed like this anyway?" His voice was slightly raspy as he turned his head towards me, his lips only a couple inches away as he scanned my face.

Jesse's eyes were strikingly almost icy blue yet held so much warmth to the point of even making me melt.

"I really don't know." My breathing pattern started to go berserk, shit, if my nose bleeds I swear I will jump out the window.

"Is that you?" Jesse's face softened as he tried to hold in a smile.

"Is what me?" I asked.

I let out a loud exhale as Jesse's soft hand went against my chest. "Why is your heart beating so fast?" He looked down on his hand then looked back up to me.

"P-probably because I wasn't ready for you to come down here and I was just caught off guard." I felt a bed of sweat form on my forehead as my cheeks began to feel heated.

"Oh, well then." Jesse playfully acted like he was hurt by what I said. "Sweet dreams." He began to get back up, making me close my eyes since I know he's gonna ruffle my hair with his hand as usual and get back up to his bed.

But this time he didn't.

This time he did something completely different.

My eyes widened as Jesse planted a kiss on my blood filled cheek.

My eyes unsurprisingly remained widened as I watched Jesse get off my bed, his chiseled white abs flexing at me as he climbed back onto his.

I turned my body straight, looking up into his bed with an unstable breathing pattern, my face warm and sweaty, and my heart feeling like it was getting ready to blow off my chest.

Sweet dreams indeed.

Not.
