"Boss, I did as I was told so what now?" Sam asked.
"Bring in the failure." I informed him and he nodded. He went out and he brought back the boy that failed my mission.
Ivan.
"Boss, I am sorry, please forgive me for my failure." He said and I laughed as I took up my gun. I saw him gulping as Sam smirked while gripping his arms around his back.
"I don't forgive people, Ivan and specially when they fail their jobs so now you have to bear the consequences." I informed him as I got up out of my chair and he gulped.
"Please, boss, don't kill me! I haven't done anything wrong, boss! Please I'm begging you!" He cried out and the others in the room looked at me while I took the safety off my gun.
He went on his knees before me and I laughed as I pointed my gun to his head while his body stiffened. In split seconds, I fired and his dead body fell to the ground then I rolled my eyes.
"You and you! Clean this up! You come with me!" I pointed lastly to Sam and he nodded as we left that room to be cleaned.
"Did the spy called yet?" I asked curiously and he shook his head.
"Maybe, he will call any minute now." He informed me and I nodded.
"So what now boss?" He asked as we went down the stairs.
"The next move will be made by Tyson, himself and we will just have to watch what comes after." I said while looking at my watch and he nodded.
"Boss, can I ask a question?" He asked and I raised an eyebrow.
"Ask away." I informed him as I entered the room where the girls were kept. I signaled to the guards to leave and they left while Sam stood beside me. He turned on the lights and I saw the three girls tied up with ropes.

"Um, boss, what are you to Ashley?" He asked, looking curious.
"I knew you would ask me that." I said as I walked over to Ashley and he kept quiet. I brushed my gun against her cheek to see if she was still unconscious.
"It's a long story and I don't like to tell tales." I informed him and he quickly nodded.
"Princess, I am back just as I told you I would be." I whispered into her ear then I smirked while aiming my gun at her head with my finger on the trigger.
"Boss, the spy just called."
Three more days has passed and still nothing. Nothing makes fucking sense! Who's the spy? And who could the boss be? If it's not Sam then it's who?
I puffed on my cigarette as I looked up into the sky while seeing the smoke fade away.
"Tyson you have to stop smoking!" Cindy said as she grabbed my cigarette away and I groaned. Then somehow she reminds me of Ashley with her blonde hair let loose on her shoulders and I rolled my eyes because of that.
"Cindy!" I warned her and she flinched as she suddenly glared at me.
"Gosh, I am trying to help you and this is how you repay me?" She snapped back and I rolled my eyes.
"If you want to help me. Find my girlfriend. Find my lifeline, she means the world to me because she's my world. Without her I am nothing, I can't live without her. She like oxygen and without her, I can't breathe. And I dont know where she is, so just fucking leave me alone!" I yelled at her and she rolled her eyes as she walked away. I rolled my eyes and couple minutes later....
"Bro, we can't just sit here and do nothing. We need to do something." Chase said as he walked over to me and out of nowhere.

"You heard that?" I asked while I took a next puff on my cigar and he sighed.
"I didn't have to hear that because we all know how much you love Ashley. That's why we need to do something." He said and I sighed.
"Okay." Is all I said and he nodded.
"So what should we do now?" Mason came out of nowhere with James and Justin. Every since Ashley introduced Justin and he joined my gang, he's been over here.
"Okay, we have to find the spy first then he or she will leads us to find the boss. Any idea of who it might be?" I asked curiously while I killed my cigar.
"Cindy?" Carlos asked as he came out of the bushes.
"Okay, is anyone else there?" I asked bluntly and Sabrina along with Chloe came out so I sighed.
"As I was saying, Cindy." Carlos repeated and I shook my head.
"She wouldn't and couldn't." I informed him.
"And I wonder why couldn't she and wouldn't it be her?" Sabrina eyed me up then down and I glared at her.
"Do you realized that since she came, we have been experiencing extra problems than usual?" Chloe asked bluntly and I sighed.
"It's not her, it's a male not a female." I said bluntly.
"Okay, how about Aaron?" Chase asked.
"I had him in mind." I said and James stared at me.
"Sammy? Nick? Zack? Taylor?" James suggested and I sighed.
"What about Taj, Chad or Theo?" Mason asked curiously.
"I don't know but it's definitely someone in the gang." I informed them and they nodded.
"I would say, it's either Nick or Aaron. Nick is not always around so we don't know what he's doing. Aaron is like a sneaky guy and Ashley never liked him from the first day they met. So we have to spy on those two and see what it leads us to." I said and they slowly nodded.
"We can start tomorrow so no one will expect anything and you need a bath." Justin said to me and everyone laughed at that point.
"Fine, but this discussion stays between us and nobody else." I informed them and they nodded.
I rolled my eyes as we all went in different directions and when I entered the mansion, I bumped up into Taylor.
"Um sorry, Tyson, I didn't see you there." He said with a sigh and I nodded.
"It's okay, bro." I said and he nodded.
"I hope we can find Ashley and the girls." He said while putting his hands in his pockets and I nodded.
"Yeah, I hope so too." I said and he nodded.
"Well, I gotta go, so later." With that he walked away.
I went inside the living room to see the house phone hanging down from the wall and it was beeping on a dead line.
I raised an eyebrow as I put the phone back up onto the wall and I thought about it before I started to go upstairs to take a long refreshing bath.
I don't know who to trust these days so I need to gather every sort of suspicious pieces together and make the right move...

Volume 1: Follows the story of an amnesiac named Gratus whose narrative reflects the fragmentation in his mind. His journey to restore his memories pits him against monsters and questionable allies that seem to want him dead. Volume 2: Prequel to volume 1 that follows Cogito's narrative, a rising star that is tied to a family legacy he cannot escape. Connects the fragments in volume 1 and expands on the world of Dominia. **Author’s Note: Cover Art and Synopsis is subject to change. I just wanted to post my story here to get feedback and improve it, so it’s okay to be brutally honest! What I am posting is a rough draft so I don't mind rewritting whole chapters and segments of stories as long as it doesn't make the story worse haha. **Author’s Note: LitRPG elements begins in Volume 2, same with potentially traumatising content.
