《3 Stepbrothers》The New Girl

Shawn's POV
Tutoring was going well, I mean seriously Tori has helped me so much. No joke. Well I mean....yeah no joke.
But it's all that dick's fault. Mr.Farlez. Man I hate him, I hate that mother fudger so friggin much.
I have to pass math if I don't there goes football season. And I love football, I said it wasn't my favorite sport, that I liked to swim. But I still love it, it's definitely in my top five. Soccer being a close runner up.
I was in first period which was chemistry for me. I didn't have a lab partner, haha which is better for me because lab partners are annoying as horse....yeah that. And I think it has to do with the teacher thinking I'm a trouble maker. I mean I have a record of putting frogs in the school toilets. Haha that was a classic. I bet the teacher thinks I'll make my partners eyebrows disintegrate. Well yeah maybe I would.
"Class we have new student," the teacher said.
Everyone looked over at the girl that just walked in. She was average height, brown silky wavy hair, and green eyes. Her hair flowed down passed her shoulders and down to her shoulder blades. She was wearing a t-shirt, one of the ends tightened with a ponytail band so the shirt wasn't to big on her. She had a pair of dark blue jeans with a small rip at right above the knee.
She was beautiful. And I've never said that about a girl. They were either hot or sexy, but this girl is plain beautiful. She had the right everything.
"Hi I'm Emily Firton," she said introducing herself with a small wave.
Emily. That was nice name.
"Well Emily we have one spot left," the teacher said looking at me.
I shook my head and went back to whatever the teacher assigned us to do. I said I wasn't going to be a player, and I'm not. I'm not going to play this girl, I'm going to get to know her. I'm going to be her friend. I'm sick of being a player, I reliezed how disgusting it was, how gross I was. And if Blake and Cole still want to do it, that's fine by me.
"You can go sit next to Shawn," The teacher said, pointing at me.
Emily gave the teacher a smile and walked towards my table. She sat down putting her book bag at her feet.
"Shawn," I said introducing myself, putting my hand out.
She took it and shook it, "Emily. But I prefer Em."
"M stands for mouse," I said out of nowhere. That was me always blurting things out.
Em chuckled, "Come up with that all by yourself did ya?"
I chuckled and looked down at my textbook, "So where you from?"
"California. Well I was born there then my parents moved to New York with me," She said.
"So your a Yankee?" I said raising my eyebrow.
"I'd reather be a 'sun kissed skin girl that melts your popsicle.'" She quoted from Katy Perry.
I laughed and looked over at her, "That's a good one."

I laughed some more and she joined in.
I seriously like this girl, that was really funny. I mean I like to be funny. It's fun being funny, and I love making people laugh.
"So what about you?" she asked.
"Well last name is Parris and I'm a triplet, but me and my brother's don't look anything alike." I warned her.
She nodded, "And you play football, soccer, lacrosse, basketball, and you swim."
"Am I being stalked?" I asked scooting away from her, but then put a smile.
"No," she grinned, "I was in the office and there were a bunch of pictures and trophies. I just recognized you from the picture. Or shall I say pictures. With an 'S.'"
"Yeah I guess you could put it that way, but I'm gonna stick to the theory of being stalked," I replied.
"Why?"
"Because it puts adventure and goosebumps in my life," I said.
"If you want that just read the Goosebumps series," she shrugged.
"Me? Read? A book? What is this the nineteenth century?" I asked.
She rolled her eyes, "Yes Shawn it sure is."
"So do I have to talk all formal, good afternoon Miss Em daughter of a father who's name I do not know. And then you'd be like, oh good afternoon Mr.Parris son of Lilly Parris." I said with really weird British accents.
Em laughed, "Your suppose to say your dad's name."
I looked down at my book my smile slightly fading and turning into a sad smile, "My father is dead. He had Leukemia."
There was silence and finally Em broke the silence.
"Shawn I'm sorry, I didn't mean to." She said softly.
"It's fine, and not to be rude but it pisses me off when people say sorry. It's not like you can bring him back," I said truthfully.
"I know," Em said.
I looked at her confused.
"My parents just got divorced, thats why I moved here. To live with my mom," She replied answering my question.
"Sorry doesn't cut it, does it?" I asked.
"No," she replied.
We stayed silent for a minute while the rest of the class talked and chatted. We were suppose to be answering questions in our textbooks but the teacher said we could talk.
"Do you have any sisters?" I asked.
"No I'm an only child," Em said smiling again.
I grinned, "That's cool."
I looked down at her backpack then back up to her.
"You don't have a locker yet?" I asked.
"Naw they said I have to wait till the end of the day," Em replied.
I smirked, "Not if you're me you don't."
"Huh?" She asked.
"After this class I'll take you to the office and get you a locker."
"But...I mean...can you even....you really don't have to Shawn," She stuttered.
"I insist. Think about it as the crappiest welcome present ever. Beside I know a few people," I winked at her and she laughed.
"Oh I'm sure you do," She said.
We went back to our work and every once in a while I'd glance at her, she was beautiful. How she tucked her hair behind her ear to show her perfect skin tone. I quickly looked away as she gave me a glance, luckily she didn't catch me looking at her.

"Class is dismissed," our teacher said.
We all grabbed our books and Em grabbed her backpack.
"So where to?" She asked me.
"To the office. You know where that is?" I said.
"Yup," she smirked, "I came from the there. Remember?"
"Curse me and my stupidity," I muttered under my breath even though I intended it as a joke.
"Your not stupid," Em said as we walked towards the office, "You just have special needs."
She gave me and innocent smile and I laughed.
"Gee thanks a lot Em. Way to make me feel loved," I said.
"Anytime Shawn," she said.
We walked into the office and I went to the front desk, "Hey Mary."
Mary was an elderly woman who talked to us like kindergartners. She has some favorites in this school and will do anything to make them happy.
"Oh hiya Shawn," she said sweetly, "What can I do for one of my favorite sport stars?"
Em looked at me as if to say, 'Its not going to work and really Shawn? Really?'
I brought Em in front of me.Thank god I was taller. My chin reached her cheekbone, if I were Cole I'd reach her forehead, but if I was Blake I could probably put my chin on her head.
"She's a freind and I don't want her to carry all her books all day. She just moved, think you can get her a locker?" I gave Mary my please pouty face and she nodded.
"Of course baby, I can do that." Mary said.
"Awesome, thank you Ms. Mary," Em said.
"Please just call me Mary," she replied.
Emily Firton is now one of Mary's favorites.
"Em why don't you go sit there I'll get you your locker," I signaled her to the office couch and she gave me a look but walked over and sat down, pulling out a book.
"What? Just cause you don't like to read doesn't mean other people do," she smirked.
I rolled my eyes and faced Mary, "Mary do you think you could give her locker number 108?"
"As long as it's empty," Mary replied.
"It is trust me," I said.
"Ok baby doll," she said with a smile. She went to the back of the office to get the combination.
I turned around and leaned on the counter crossing my arms. I looked over at Em.
"So what's the book called?" I asked.
"World War Z. The movies coming out soon, so I'm just catching up," she said all this without taking her eyes off the book.
"What's your schedule?" I asked.
She looked up and recited her schedule, I mentally checked which classes we have together.
"We have History and English together," I said.
"Cool," she said.
"Ok honeypie," Mary said coming back, "Here's the locker number and combination."
Em walked over, "Thank you Mary."
"Anytime sugar," Mary scribbled something on a sticky note then handed one to each of us, "Passes for being late to class." She explained.
"Cool. Thanks Mary," I said.
"Now get to class you two," she replied.
Me and Em headed out.
"So where's my locker?" She asked.
"Over there," I said pointing down a hall, "Let me show you."
Em followed me to her locker and I stopped right in front of it.
"Locker 108 your majesty," I said with a bow.
"Why thank you kind sir," she replied with a crusty.
We both laughed but quickly got quiet. The halls were deserted, everyone was in class.
"It's like a freaking ghost town, err hallway," I said leaning against the wall of lockers as Em opened hers.
She tried the combination and got it wrong, she tried again and still it wouldn't open. She groaned, "The damn thing won't open."
I chuckled, "Let me help."
She handed me the combination and I typed it it, mentally trying to remember the numbers. The locker clicked open.
"There we go," I said looking into the empty locker.
"Thanks Shawn," she gave me a smile and started to pull everything out of her backpack.
"Lucky you got this locker, its one of the best in the school." I said with a grin.
"Really? Why's that?" She asked.
I smiled, "Cause it's right next to mine."
I put the combination in my locker and it swung open. It was literally right next to Em's.
She laughed, "You did that on purpose."
"Do you have evidence?" I asked.
"No," she replied.
"Then I am innocent and this was just luck," I grinned and closed my locker.
Em rolled her eyes and smirked, "Yup. Sure thing."
I waited for her to finish putting all her books in her new locker. When she was done I helped her get the hang of opening it. Then we started to walk down the hall.
"Thanks for helping me out Shawn," she said, "You were....fun."
I grinned, "Of course I was, I'm awesome like that."
She laughed and lightly punched my arm, "Thanks for being my friend."
Friend? I had a friend. And I really liked this friend, she isn't like Trent who's a total dick. What's happened to me? Ever since Tori moved in I've changed, but I'm not the only one. I like the new me.
"Anytime," I smiled, "I'll see you in English."
She reached her door, "I'll be there."
I chuckled and walked off to math. Damn it I still have that test Friday. I need to pass. I need to pass. I NEED TO PASS.
But hey now I have a new friend.
