Parents are awesome and if it weren't for my dad, I wouldn't be writing. So that's just a request from me to you guys, you don't have to do but I think its sweet. Happy Father's Day. Nowwwww....you may begin this new chapter. Enjoy.

Tori's POV
Two weeks have gone by. Two awful weeks of pop quizzes, projects, and tests. But math is definitely the one with the most. Our teacher gives us a quiz every other day.
And at home, well nothing totally bad or good has happened. The guys has their first football game last Friday, they won. Blake scored a touchdown and so did some other kid. The guys don't know this but I was there watching the game.
So today is Wednesday and right now, I'm in math. It's the second week of September so soon Mr.Bennett is going to come home and I seriously can't wait.
"Class you have thirty minutes to finish your quiz," Mr.Farlez said, "You may begin."
I breezed through the quiz, we had learned this material the last two days so honestly it wasn't hard. When I was done I still had about ten minutes left. I wasn't the only one finished though. Some other kids were done and Mark had just finished.
I glanced at him and he gave me his 'I did really bad' smile. I grinned at that cause, you know it's funny.
I tapped my pencil eraser on the desk and waited as the ten minutes went by.
Mr.Farlez told us to hand our papers up to him and we did.
"Mr.Parris," he said, "Please stay after class."
"Which one?" Cole asked.
Blake smirked and Shawn chuckled.
Mr.Farlez glared at each one of them, "Shawn Parris."
"I'm Shawn Parris," Shawn blurted out.
Everyone in the class snickered or covered their mouth to prevent the laughter from flowing out.
"Of course you are," Mr.Farlez said, controlling his anger.

Shawn just smiled and layed back in his chair. The bell rang minutes later.
"Class dismissed," Mr.Farlez said.
We all grabbed our books and headed out the door. Shawn stayed and got some high-fives from some of the guys. Even Mark gave him a high five.
I walked to my locker and looked around for my math textbook, damn it I forgot it in class.
"Mark I'll be right back, have to get my textbook." I told him.
"I'll meet you in chemistry then," he replied.
I nodded and we both went the opposite direction of each other. I quietly jogged back to the math room and just as I was about to open the door I heard arguing on the other side.
"They can't cut me from the team!" Shawn yelled.
"Yes they can," Mr.Farlez said, "Your grades in math are to low. They can take you out of football until you raise your grade."
"But football is really important to me," Shawn shot back.
"You might want to start considering your grades as your first priority," Mr.Farlez spat out.
There was silence for a couple of seconds.
"Is there extra credit? Anything? You said I have until the end of the month, thats two weeks away." Shawn asked.
"Mr.Parris extra credit isn't my policy so if you want to continue football, then you must score a passing grade on our weekly quizzes. And next week we will have a test that will count a major portion on your grade. Pass it and I believe you can keep playing football," Mr.Farlez replied.
"So what am I suppose to do?" Shawn asked.
"I recommend a tutor, or someone that can show you the material."
"Fine I'll get a tutor," Shawn grumbled.
'Tori has it ever occured to you that if you do something nice for them, they might do something nice for you?' My dad's voice replayed in my mind.
I took a deep breath and knocked on the door then stepped through, "Sorry. I left my textbook."
Mr.Farlez and Shawn turned to me.
"Tori, just who I wanted to see," Mr.Farlez said.
"Sorry?" I asked trying to act like I didn't know anything.
"Shawn this girl has an A average in math, she'd be the perfect tutor." Mr.Farlez said.

"Her?" Shawn asked.
"What's going on?" I asked dumbly.
"Nothing forget it," Shawn said. He grabbed his books and left the room.
"I just came for my book," I said awkwardly. I quickly grabbed my book and left the room.
Mr.Farlez didn't say anything he went behind his desk and his next class started to file in.
Shoot I need to get to chemistry. I ran back to the science room and sat down just as the teacher started her lesson.
The day flew by pretty quickly. Before I knew it I was riding back home. It didn't take me long to get there, but the dirt road was muddy so I had to be careful.
I parked my bike in the shed and walked up the porch steps, before going in I took off my shoes so I wouldn't get mud everywhere. As I walked in I saw Lilly in the living room along with Suzie, they were watching some kid show on Nickelodeon.
"Hey Tori," Lilly said.
"Hi Tori," Suzie added.
"Hey guys," I walked to the fridge and opened it. There wasn't really much to eat so I settled with an apple.
I heard a car door slam in the front of the house and walked to the window to see who it was. My eyes widened when I saw it was a extremely familiar car.
"Thanks Mark," Shawn said as he walked to the backyard.
"Anytime Shawn," Mark yelled back and drove off.
What just happened? Shawn was in Mark's car, but like Mark was driving and he droppdd Shawn off. Whoa. Mind blow.
Shawn walked in the house and I stared at him.
"What happened to football practice?" Lilly asked.
"I couldn't go today, I'm really busy with homework and stuff." Shawn walked passed me and went upstairs to his room.
I glanced at Lilly and Suzie for a second before going after him. I walked up the stairs and then down the hall until I reached his room.
The door was open and Shawn was sitting at his desk looking at some notes. He hasn't noticed me yet so I watched as he covered his face in his hands and groaned in frustration.
"Need help?" I asked.
"Jesus," Shawn said jumping up, "God Tori what the hell?"
I chuckled and walked in his room. To be honest I haven't been in any of the guys rooms, so it kinda weirded me out.
I grabbed an extra chair and sat down, "I heard the argument between you and Mr.Farlez."
"He's a real asshole," Shawn said then looked at me, "Even more than you."
I laughed, "Gee thanks."
A couple seconds went by and we didn't say anything. It was starting to get awkward so I just broke the silence.
"You really care about football?" I asked.
"Yeah," Shawn sighed.
"Then let me help you with math. I know the material and I do have a A average." I told him.
"I just need to pass," he looked at me and I could see confusion written across his face, "It's just numbers there so...weird. I don't get it. It confuses me and sometimes I just wanna grab that sheet of paper and rip it in half."
"What if I help you? I can tutor you two times a week, so you still have football practice. Then next week you'll pass the test and you can keep playing," I said, "And if you ever still need help, just ask."
"Why are you being so nice to me?" He asked, "Me and my brothers are always jerks with you."
"That's true," I nodded my head but then smiled, "But if you really care about football then I'll help."
Shawn took a deep breath and nodded, "Ok."
"Yeah?" I asked suddenly excited.
"Yeah you can tutor me. But I'm not paying," he said pointing a finger at me.
"Just score me a touchdown at your next game," I said.
"Deal."
We shook hands and then I looked over at his paper.
"Let's get started," I said.
We both turned our attention the the notes and I explained Shawn everything step by step. Whenever he didn't get something he asked and I answered. I guess it wasn't so bad.
