Tori's POV
"You sure you'll be ok?" Mark asked. We were in the parking lot of the school and I was just walking with him and Cali. I would walk to my bike after they got in their car. School had just ended.
"I'll be perfectly fine, god calm down." I said crossing my arms.
"Tori we're serious if you need help, or they try to pull something funny, give us a call." Cali said.
"You guys are acting like I'm usless," I pouted, "Did you two forget my dad is a police officer?"
"No," they both grumbled.
"Good. Don't worry I can handle myself," I said.
"Ok, but really give us a call if something happens," Mark said getting in his pickup.
I nodded, "Ok. Bye you two."
"Bye Tori," Mark called as he backed away from the parking lot. Cali rode in shotgun with him and she waved at me. That girl needs to get her own car.
I waved at them and walked to the bike rack. After a small amount of walking, a jeep pulled up beside me and the window rolled down.
"Hey Tori," The person said.
I automatically tensed, I knew that voice. I looked to my left where the car and driver were.
"Oh hey Trent," I said awkwardly. What was wrong with me? I never act this way. It was just the way Trent would flip his dirty blond hair from his eyes. His adorable brown eyes that- whoa Tori shut up.
"Want a ride?" He asked.
"No, I'm fine. I'll just bike," I said as I reached the bike rack. I pulled out the keys and unlocked the chain that was around my bike.
"You sure?" He asked once again.
"Honestly I'm fine," I replied.
He opened the door, "Come on Tori your going to make me feel bad."
"What about my bike?" Whoa was I seriously considering this. No, no, no. Why did I say that? Maybe because this voice seems hard to disobey.
I watched as Trent got out of the jeep and grabbed my bike putting it in the back, "Now will you go?"
"Doesn't look like I have a choice," I muttered, "I could just meet you at Shawn's. That was the plan."
Trent gave me a mischievous grin, "I'm not much of plans."
"But we still have like an hour," I said again.
"Then we'll go eat something," Trent opened the car door for me.
I gave a frustrated sigh, "Ok." I got into the car.
"It's a date," he said and closed the door behind me.
That caught me off guard, "Wait. What?"
Trent walked around his car and got in the driver's seat.
"Trent I didn't say th-" I started but he cut me off.
"I know," he looked at me and smiled, "I insisted."
I turned around and looked out the window. This way he wouldn't see how red my cheeks were. He took the car off park, and started driving.
"So where are we going?" I finally asked, looking over at him.
"I was thinking Dairy Queen?" He quickly looked over at me, "If you want to?"
"Yeah that's fine," I said then added, "I'll take ice cream any day."
Trent laughed and I freaked out for a second. Does that make me sound like I'm obsessed with ice cream?
"Well who doesn't want ice cream everyday?" he asked.

I answered seriously, "People that are lactose intolerant."
Me and Trent locked eyes for a minute and then burst into laughter.
"That's a good one." He said laughing.
I laughed too, "Well it is true."
Finally we arrived at the Dairy Queen. We hopped out of the car and Trent opened the door for me.
as we entered DQ. I walked in and Trent followed. We walked up to the cashier.
"Tori what do you want?" Trent asked.
I looked up at the menu and spoke to the cahsier, "I think I'll have a Oreo Cookies Blizzard Treat."
"Mmmm that sounds good," Trent said looking up at the menu. He looked down at me and grinned, "But I think I'll go with the Mint Oreo Blizzard Treat."
We finished ordering and sat at a booth.
"Thanks for the ice cream Trent," I said putting a spoonful into my mouth.
He ate his ice cream and shrugged, "No problem."
"I just have one question for you," I said.
"Shoot," he replied licking his spoon.
"Why did you ask me to come on a date with you?" I asked. I looked down at my ice cream not wanting to meet his eyes. I saw him put his spoon in the ice cream.
"Tori when I saw we were project partners, I was really happy. Your beautiful Tori and I'm just asking for a chance. I really like you," Trent said.
I can guarantee you my face was super red. Trent Micheals just said he thought I was beautiful! And he wants a chance! The soccer and football star just said he like me! Am I dreaming or something? He just said he liked me! He likes ME! Tori Linean! What is going on?
"So will you?" Trent asked.
"Will I what?" I asked dumbly.
Trent chuckled, "Give me a chance?"
I smiled and was about to reply but then his phone went off. Trent pulled it out and looked at the screen.
"Hello?" He said into his phone.
I could hear the other line, the person kept shouting and I knew who it was.
"Trent where the hell are you?!" Shawn yelled.
"I'm at Dairy Queen with Tori. We were hungry," Trent said looking over at me and giving me a smile. I smiled back and looked down at my ice cream.
"Get your ass down here, we need to do this project!" Shawn yelled. He really did want to do this project.
"Ok ok, we're going." Trent replied, hanging up. We both got up and went to the car, eating our ice cream. It wasn't an awkward car ride. It just seemed we were to busy eating to actually talk.
Finally we reached my house, or in this case it wasn't my house, but Shawn's. I got out of Trent's car and moved to the trunk.
"I'm gonna get my bike," I told him.
"I can just drive you home," Trent said helping me get my bike on the ground.
I chuckled and used my secret weapon and not the flipping, "My dad's a police officer. His number one rule: don't get in a car with a stranger."
Trent laughed, "But I'm not a stranger."
I smirked, "You are in his eyes."
Trent laughed again, "Ok but your going to make me feel bad."
"I can live with that," I said parking my bike in the backyard. We went to the front door and Trent rang the doorbell. This felt weird for me, I usually just went through the back.

Shawn opened the door, "About time you got your ass her Micheals."
Trent laughed, "Well sorry Parris."
They gave each other a mad hug and Shawn looked over at me.
"You guys can come in, I figured we'd do everything in the kitchen." Shawn said.
"Sounds great," Trent said.
We walked in and I pretended to look around, and follow Trent and Shawn. We entered the kitchen and I was surprised to see that there was a poster board, glue, glitter, paper, and other stuff.
I looked over at Shawn and he gave me a look.
"Hey Shawn can you show me the bathroom?" I asked.
"Sure," Shawn started walking and I followed. But of course I knew where the bathroom was.
When we were out of hearing reach I asked, "Where's Suzie? Hell, where is everyone? And where did you get all that?"
Shawn turned to face me, "Suzie is with Cole. Mom is at work. Blake left to...uhhhh-"
I cut him off, "Gotcha. Lets just say he went on a date. And that stuff?"
"We have a box in the basement, labled: Project supplies. That's where I got it." Shawn said.
"Ok thank you," I waited there for a minute as Shawn went back to Trent. After a minute I walked back.
Trent was on the floor with the poster board and a ruler, "I was just telling Shawn that I'm trying to make the line."
I nodded and pulled out my backpack that had the information I found. Shawn and Trent already had theirs on the counter. We all looked over it and then started to set up the poster board.
I sat at the counter cutting up some pictures we found.
"What year did Martin Luther King Jr. give the 'I Have A Dream' speech?" Shawn asked.
Trent looked over at the papers, "Uhhhh....1963."
"Thanks," Shawn said and went back to work.
They were actually working. That shocked me, I honestly thought I'd be the one doing all the work, but guess not. Trent was decorating the poster board like the 60's. Shawn was making some nice looking blimps to put on the timeline. I cut the pictures and helped Trent decorate the poster board. We had everything set up, all we had to do was glue. I looked over at the clock, 6:17.
I stood up, "I'm going to start heading back home. It's getting dark. Shawn maybe you can glue it."
"Sure," Shawn muttered. But I knew in the end I'd be the one gluing it.
"I'll stay till 6:30," Trent said.
Shawn tensed, "You sure?"
"Yeah don't worry about it man. I'll get you at least half of it glued," Trent said.
I looked over at Shawn, he grabbed his phone and pointed towards thd backdoor. I nodded.
"Well I'll start heading back, bye you guys," I got up and walked to the backdoor, "You mind Shawn?"
"Go ahead," he said.
"Bye Tori," Trent called after me.
I walked outside and to my parked bike, then pulled out my phone. Opening Shawn's text.
Shawn: just ride around 4 a while and dont com bak till i call or txt
I sighed and mounted my bike, starting to pedel. When I was out of eye's reach I heard my name being called.
"Tori wait up," the person called.
I stopped and looked behind me, it was Trent. He had my backpack in his hand.
He jogged towards me, "You forgot this."
He handed me my backpack. I grabbed it and flung it over my shoulder. Of course I forgot it, I lived there now so why would I bring it with me.
"Uhh thanks," I said, "See you tomorrow."
I was about to start pedaling but Trent put his hand on my bike's handles. Stopping me from moving.
"Were you thinking of what I said?" He asked.
I could feel my face turn red, "Ummm yeah....I guess."
Trent grinned, "I'll let you think about it a bit more."
I smiled, "Thanks."
"But," Trent said.
"But what?" I asked frowning.
"I want you to know that I really like you," Trent practically whispered. He leaned over his face extremely close to mine. He brushed his lips on mine before he fully kissed me. Our lips moved together I sync. After a minute he pulled back. He grinned at me and I was sure my face was red as a fire truck.
"I'll text you later," He said before walking off. I watched him walk away, he turned around once and gave me smile. That snapped me back to reality, I looked down at the ground, my face surely red. I turned back to the dirt path and peddled away.
I rode around the path, just thinking. Trent Micheals just kissed me, he kissed me! I rode around a smile creeping on my lips. The sun was setting and I was just waiting for Shawn to call. But I wasn't in a rush for him to call. I was too busy thinking of Trent's kiss. It was slow and sweet, he did all the work and I just followed pursuit. Just thinking about it made my cheeks warm.
But it ended when I heard my phone buzz.
"Yeah," I asked into the phone.
"Tori you can come back," Shawn said. With that he hung up.
"Rude," I muttered and turned around heading back home. Once I reached home, I put my bike in the shed and walked up the steps to the backdoor.
Blake and Shawn were in the living room watching t.v but they turned their attention to me as I walked in. Lilly had already gotten back and she was in the kitchen making dinner. Me being nice as I am, and in a really good mood, asked her if she needed help. She nodded and I started chopping some carrots.
My dad walked in about fifteen minutes later, "Hey everyone."
"Hey dad," I replied.
"Welcome home Bill," Lilly said.
Shawn and Blake grumbled a hey and went back to watching t.v.
My dad kissed Lilly and then kissed the top of my head. He looked around for a minute then said, "Where's the crazy bunny?"
"You mean Suzie?" I replied.
"Yeah. I usually hear screaming from her when I get back from work," Dad said still looking confused.
Lilly smiled, "Cole took her around today."
My dad nodded slowly, a small smile appearing, "That's fine."
"Dinners almost ready," Lilly said, "Boys turn off the t.v and help set the table."
The guys turned off the t.v and walked over.
"What about Cole?" Shawn asked.
"Blake could you call him?" Lilly asked.
Blake nodded and grabbed the phone, he dialed the number and put it to his ear. Seconds went by, "He won't pick it up. It sent me to voicemail."
Lilly sighed, "I'm sure they're fine, lets just start without them. I'm sure Cole already got Suzie dinner."
We all set the table and sat around. I looked down at my plate of food, but I wasn't hungry. Trent Micheals kissed me, was the only thought going through my mind.
In the middle of dinner while Lilly was talking about something, the garage door burst open.
Cole and Suzie walked in. Suzie on Cole's back.
"I just had the best day EVER!" Suzie yelled.
