《A Taste of Sin (Sin #1)》XIX.

I have no idea why I did that. I should probably stay quiet. I didn't think Gabrielle would have the balls to do this, but I forgot that the alcohol makes her brave. And she's a pretty demanding little thing. I don't think she'll remember any of this tomorrow.
Her lips are moving against mine like they own them. Like they're only hers. It's pretty hot. Because she gives it all and takes everything in return. She's greedy.
And, honestly, no matter how much I don't like her and how much she annoys me, with this kiss, I feel like God made a mistake and took me to heaven instead of sending me to hell where I belong. I thought that kissing Gabrielle would be like kissing an angel (and I did think about kissing her), but right in this moment, it feels like I'm kissing the biggest vixen there is. That I'm kissing a sinister, her lips making me want to sin.
She has her palms on either side of my head, trapping me so I can't move my head away. She's being in control here. And if it was any other situation and any other girl, I would never in hell let her control me. I don't take demands lightly.
But with Gabrielle ... I don't know why, but I let her do anything she wants to. To see what she'll do and to see how far she's willing to go. How brave she is.
What she did was a big thing. I know there are many girls who want to be in her spot right now, but they would never dare to make a move on me. They know me too well. I make the first moves, not them.
If I want to make out with a girl, I'll do it on my terms. And she'll know about it. If I don't, she better not even come close to me.
So when Gabrielle strolled over to me and boldly sat on top on me with that tiny little dress, I lost my shit. But that was before she pressed her lips on mine and kissed me so thoroughly nobody ever kissed me before. That's where I lost my goddamn mind, too.
When she leans back and disconnects our lips, a smile is playing on her mouth and when she opens her eyes, they're unfocused and glazed over. I don't know whether it's from the alcohol or the lust. Or, hell, even both.
She's still sitting on top of me with her hair tousled, smiling like she just climbed Mount Everest.
I move my hand up her body, making sure not to hike her dress even higher because she would sure as hell be showing more than she should and more than she's prepared to until I grab the side of her face and bring her head closer. "You have a face of an angel, Little one, but you sure as hell do kiss like the devil himself."
Gabrielle giggles and she pats my chest affectionately. "The dare's over," she says proudly. She's acting as if nothing happened. Like she didn't have her lips locked with mine a few seconds ago. Like it wasn't the hottest kiss ever.
She stands up and tugs her dress down.
"Damn, girl! I didn't think you have it in you!" Tiana shouts from the circle, drunk out of her mind.
I don't see Gabrielle's face since she's turned away from me. But what I see is a storm coming towards us that goes by the name of Sophie. Oh, fuck. How many surprises will there be in one night?

I don't think Gabrielle sees her until Sophie is basically in her face, pushing her back so Gabrielle loses her balance. She falls right on top of me and I catch her from rolling down to the floor.
"You little whore!" Sophie screams on top of her lungs. Everything in the room falls silent, even the music. "You just can't keep your hands to yourself, can you?"
I think Gabrielle sobers up instantly. She sits up on me and her face is now full of shock and remorse. She stands up and starts backing up. "I'm ... I'm sorry, it was a dare. I promise, it's not like ... it's not ... what it looks like." She still struggles to get the words out and she's still slurring, but I think she's thinking more clearly now and it gets to her what she just did.
"Get the fuck out of my face. And I promise you, you little shit, if I ever see you near Sin again, I'll tear your body apart. Whore," Sophie spits out.
Gabrielle is too shocked to do anything, too numb. Sam comes to help her and she drags Gabrielle away. And I stand up and grab Sophie's arm, squeezing hard to make her look into my eyes. "The fuck's your problem?"
It's her turn to tremble now and stare at me in shock. "She kissed you!" she whines like it explains everything.
"And you had no right attacking her for that," I growl, really tired of her bullshit. I don't get why some girls just can't understand the concept of not being in a serious relationship, and when that ends, we both go on our own ways. But no. They have to act like you want a divorce and pin after you like they still have a chance to win you.
Sophie steps closer to me, putting her hands on my chest. Her first mistake. I don't react right away, I wait to see what her next move will be.
"Alex, baby," she coos, making me cringe. I like her better when she's beneath me, screaming my name, instead of opening her mouth otherwise. Why am I only realising how fucking annoying she really is?
Oh, no. Wait. I realised that before. I just didn't care about it until she started to have jealous outbursts. And that was it for me.
"Don't make a mistake by ending this," she says in her sweet voice, tracing her finger up and down my chest. I watch the movement with my eyes before I stare into her eyes with a deep look.
I grab her wrist and turn her away from me with her arm twisted behind her. She squeals in surprise. I lean my mouth close to her ear. "Touch me without my permission again, Sophie, and see what happens. Stop playing games and go cry to someone who cares."
I push her away from me lightly and she stumbles forward. She looks back at me with tears in her eyes, caressing her arm. "You're fucking insane," she shouts back in a rage, glaring at me. She just looks like I kicked her puppy.
She turns away before I even get a chance to see a tear fall from her eyes. I don't even watch her walking away. I sit back down on my previous seat and take another swig of much-needed beer. What a fucking night.
"That was pretty harsh," someone says from behind of me. I don't have to turn around to know that the voice belongs to Lana. The girl everyone's had in their bed at least once because it's her mission to sleep with as many guys as she can. She's proud of that, even.

"It's not like she didn't deserve it," I reply disinterestedly. I lazily look around the room, trying to see how many people there are that I know and what's even happening around me.
I catch Gabrielle in the next room. She actually seems like she's having a lot of fun, not being affected anymore by Sophie's outburst. I don't even know what Gabrielle's problem is, anyway.
I see someone else with Gabrielle. Ryder. Dancing with her. My muscles tighten. She's seriously dancing with that guy minutes after having a full-on make-out session with me? I snort to myself. Maybe I was wrong about her and she isn't that innocent after all.
I forget that Lana is still standing behind me until she puts her hands on my shoulders and leans down to my ear. "You seem a bit lonely. Wanna get a room?"
I roll my eyes at her blunt request.
I shrug her hands off and stand up, annoyed that I can't have five minutes of peace. "Get lost, Lana."
When I go to the next room, the one I saw Gabrielle dancing with Ryder in, I notice that they're not dancing anymore, but Sam has Gabrielle pinned against the wall and is talking to her. Gabrielle doesn't even seem to hear her. She's so drunk, her eyes are unfocused and her head is falling in every direction.
I sigh to myself. I try to go past them, but Sam sees me and harshly grabs my arm. I lift my eyebrow at her, but she completely ignores my silent warning. "You gotta take Gabby home," she tells me.
I chuckle. "And why is that?" I ask her with amusement.
Gabrielle falls forward and Sam catches her with her body. She puts her forehead on Sam's shoulder and starts giggling.
"Because I've been drinking and I'm going to Snake's. I can't drive her, Sin. Please." Sam actually looks desperate. And I don't know when's the last time I've seen her worried about someone so much. I see that she and Gabrielle got really close in this short time Gabrielle is with us.
"I'm not driving her, either. Find someone else. And I've been drinking too." I try to go past Sam, but then Snake steps forward, blocking me from going anywhere. "I like you, Snake, but I won't like you much longer if you don't move the fuck away. Right now," I grit out.
Snake shakes his head. "Don't be an asshole, Sin, and take Gabby home. You're going in the same direction, the same place and you've only had one beer in the whole night."
My jaw clenches at how hard I'm gritting my teeth together. "For fuck's sake," I mutter to myself and look at still giggling Gabrielle, leaning on Sam for support. "Fine!" I snap, giving up. It's not like this night could get any worse, anyway. Better end it before something else happens.
"You here with a motorcycle?" Snake asks.
I only nod.
"Take my car. Gabby can't drive with you on it."
I nod again, not saying anything. I straighten my mouth in annoyance.
Snake pats my back as I walk over to Sam and Gabrielle with a scowl on my face. "But I don't wanna go home yeeet!" Gabrielle drawls out in a whine. I roll my eyes. Someone punch me in the face.
Sam smiles gratefully at me. "Thank you so much, Sin. Honestly, I owe you."
I glare at her. "I'll remember that," I say to her with a dark tone, letting her know how unhappy I am by this whole situation she put me in.
She gently pushes Gabrielle to me so I have no choice but to grab her before she falls down to the floor. "Sin is going to take you home now, Gabby, okay? I'll see you tomorrow," Sam tells her like she's a child.
"Sin?" Gabrielle questions, looking around. She looks disoriented.
I sigh to myself. I swear, if I had a gun with me, I'd shoot myself. "Yeah, me. Let's go now."
I drag her out of the house. Her feet aren't working like they should be, so I'm basically dragging her as I take long, fast steps. I want to get this over with as soon as possible and end this night already.
I feel pathetic because I'm going home this early. Thankfully, no one questions me, a few guys only give me some smirks and I also get some thumbs up. Fucking perverts. As if I would be interested in screwing a half-unconscious girl. And even if Gabrielle wasn't in that state, I still wouldn't want her anywhere near my bed.
I might be lying slightly, but that's what's best for both of us.
I successfully get her in Snake's car. I take some deep breaths of fresh air once I buckle her in and close the door and smoke a cigarette before I sit in the car. Gabrielle is asleep by then. Thank God. I'm in no mood to listen to her blabbering.
Once at home, Gabrielle is still asleep. I let out a deep sigh again before I lift her from the car and take her in the house and up to her room as quietly as possible. I'm surprised by how light she actually is. I shouldn't be since she's thin as a paper, but she weighs basically nothing.
When I get us into her room, I close the door and turn the light on. Putting her on the bed and just leaving her like that seems like not such a bad idea, but as I look at her sleeping form laying in my arms I can't bring myself to be such an asshole.
I don't know why and what it is with her that it makes me actually think twice about my actions around her. She just seems so fragile (although I learned that she's anything but) and so innocent. It makes me feel even a bigger asshole.
I pull the covers on the bed back and put Gabrielle down in the middle of the bed. Then, I take her shoes off. I'm debating whether it would be better if I took her dress of, too, but I don't know what she prefers to sleep in. Judging by the girls I know, they sleep without wearing anything.
I decide to take Gabrielle's jacket off at least and leave everything else on. It's a struggle for me, I have to lift her up and then tug the jacket down.
And to my displeasure, it wakes Gabrielle up. She blinks and tries to roll away. "What are you doing?" she murmurs, trying to remove my hands. "Stop touching me."
"Stop moving," I growl in full-on annoyed mood now. I need a fucking cigarette. Or two.
Gabrielle starts kicking her legs and prying my hands off her, pushing them away with her own. "Stop. Go away," she says loudly, almost on a scream.
I grab her hands and pin them on the bed. She lays on her back, looking helplessly up in my eyes with her eyes wide in panic. "I won't fucking do anything. If you didn't get so drunk, I wouldn't have to be doing this right now. Now let me take your jacket off and you can go to sleep again," I order her, staring straight into her eyes the whole time.
Looking into her eyes now, it amazes me once again by how long her eyelashes are. I don't think a guy should notice that, but it's hard to miss it on her small face. I'd ask her if she has false eyelashes or something, but that'd be entirely too weird.
She lays still on the bed. I don't know if she calmed herself down or if it's from the fear, but she lets me take her jacket off. I throw it on the chair across the room and then pull the covers up.
I open the window up since it's boiling in the room and when I look at her again, she's already struggling to keep her eyes open. When I turn to leave the room, she stops me. "You know ... you're a pretty awesome kisser."
Her eyes fall shut with a smile on her face right after the words leave her mouth. I barely understood them, that's how slurred they were, but I heard everything, alright. And I had to take a moment to compose myself, just watching her innocent face in that big bed.
Her face reminds me of a fucking angel.
I look at the floor and shake my head. I leave the room and go straight out on the rooftop through my room. I smoke three cigarettes to calm myself down fully.

8 113Quebracho: The Legend of Two Heroes
After a violent and tough battle, you recover in an infirmary with your fellow soldiers, or in a more relatable scenario, visit your friend's house after a hard day of studying. You’d expect that both of them would play out normally for the most part, right? Well... Maxon Cortez and Jason McGuire had the same thoughts too. Yet, fate has different plans for them: Max ends up in an eerie location he doesn’t recognize and Jace gets transported to an entirely different world that works like a video game (sort of) by walking into a portal. As they travel along the lands, the two of them will encounter other individuals of many kinds, make friends new and old, gain powerful abilities, experience spectacular adventures, and obtain priceless treasures. However, Maxon and Jason will unknowingly become integral parts of a nefarious conspiracy that, if successful, will plunge both of their worlds into eternal chaos and darkness. So it’s up to them and their allies to thwart it. Side-Note: I’ll admit right off the bat that this story will be my first attempt at writing a LitRPG, so the in-game mechanics and terminology will probably look weird and be even nonsensical. If you notice something that’s out-of-place or just flat out wrong, I apologize. Not only that, it's been a while since I've wrote anything and thus I'm a little bit rusty. So please bear with me. New chapters once every Saturday or Sunday. Also, I'll be fine-tuning the grammar, punctuation, and spelling when I have the time. So expect a lot of random edits. This story is also available on ScribbleHub.
