Y/N's P.O.V
It felt cold, like everything was frozen and all life had been drained. My mind felt foggy and drained. My body felt like it was on fire but paralyzed. I opened my eyes, vision blurry and unable to make out the figure next to me. I grunted, trying to move and clear my vision. I turned my head, still laying on my back and saw a hint of green. I blinked rapidly, trying to make out what was going on. I slowly turned to my side, vision starting to become clear as I noticed the figure beside me was Lloyd. He was bleeding and looked unconscious. I set both my hands on the ground and slowly got up, wincing in pain. I felt something wet on my head. I brought my hand up to wipe it and pull away, to find out it was blood.
I sat on my knees and looked around. I was on my island. But it looked even more destroyed than I remembered. I turned back around to Lloyd and my heart sunk.
"Lloyd." I said, my voice echoing. It felt weird, like being here wasn't real but it felt real. I stood up and got to him, getting down on my knees as I tried to shake him awake. He wasn't budging. I felt tears start to form and a lump in my throat. I looked up and began to see each of the others behind him also on the ground. I saw red, teal, blue, yellow, white, and black. "Guys?" My voice continued to echo.
"Its all your fault." I heard a voice say. It sounded just like my dad.
"Lloyd." I echoed. I got up and limped over to Kai. He had blood on his head and his eyes were closed. I slowly stood up and looked around at all my friends.
"Alone." The voice echoed again.
"What did you do!" I shouted.
"Me? It was all you."
"Show your self!" I shouted. "You coward!"
"A coward? You have no idea what you're talking about." I heard the voice say, everything and every noise echoed. Suddenly, the whole area went dark and black fog moved in surrounding me.
"Kai!" I shouted. "Nya! Wake up!" I began to panic as I tried to run back to were Lloyd had been, but nothing was there. "Lloyd!" I let out a sob. "Nova! Cole!" I said, turning around as gasping noises began to echo now. "Jay! Zane! Please, someone!"
"You can't save them. You are they're doom." The voice had become a figure in the fog, slowly stepping forward.
It was my dad.
"You're friends will meet their fate because of you, daughter." He chuckled darkly. "You have no idea who you are or what you're capable of. What if you kill them with your powers, simply because you don't know how to control them." He said, circling me. He came up to me and pushed a strand of hair behind my ear. My breathing became uneven as I tried to yank my head away, but I couldn't. I was frozen. I was to scared to move. "You are their death."
He grabbed my head and made me look into his eyes. I saw white before I saw us all again. This time we were actively fighting. But we were losing. They were all being cornered by Dragons. They were screaming for me to stop them and for me to help. But I couldn't, I was crying. Begging for a Dragon to stop and for Nightmare to listen to me.

I couldn't close my eyes to stop what I was watching as the Dragons continued to come at us. I couldn't look around and see anyone else. It was blurry, and it was like watching TV and seeing the different scenes flicker through as I watched what was happened to each of us in different times.
The last thing I saw was Nightmare lunging at me.
"You should have strengthened your bond." I heard Master Wu's voice echo. I saw white flash again before I met the eyes of my dad.
"What did you do!" I shouted. "The Dragons would never do that! Not to me!"
"You think you can come back and they will just listen to you? You're just as niave as your mother. Thinking those beasts would ever listen to a human." He scoffed.
"They will listen to me. I have-"
"You have what." He cut off. "Nothing. You never have and you never will."
"I have what I need to beat you." I seethed.
"Y/N!"
"You don't get to call me by my name." I said. He chuckled.
"Its not me."
"Y/N!"
"Stop!"
"Wake up!"
"What?"
"Wakey wakey."
"We need to do something."
"Do what?"
"Rise. I see the face of the people you will end!" He smirked, going into the fog.
"What?" I shuddered. "Wait, I'm not done with you! Come back!" I followed him into the fog, and I ran. But nothing. I didn't trip or run into anything. Where was I?
"Nightmare, do something!"
"Nightmare?" I asked. I then jumped and screamed as I saw Nightmare jump at me through the fog, claws and teeth out with his pupils in a slit.
"Y/N!" Nya. I heard her voice. I jerked up in bed with a gasp, sweat covering my body as I took deep breaths. Nova was standing to the left of my bed and Nya was on the right of my bed, extremely worried look on their faces. I saw Nightmare on the foot of the bed, looking at me with his head tilted to the side, his pupils were normal size.
"You're okay?" I said, looking between the two girls.
"Yes, were fine. Oh my gosh, Y/N, are you okay?" Nova said, her voice laced with concern as she looked down at me.
"I - I think so." I said. Nightmare let out his purring noise that he usually makes and came over to the side of the bed Nova was on. She moved so he could get next to me. I hesitated, but I did put my hand on his head and gently pet him.
"You had us worried. Even Nightmare was going crazy. I'm suprised no one came in." Nya said.
"Yeah, me too. What exactly happened?" She asked.
"I don't know." I lied. I felt guilty, but I need to know what happened before I could confirm what was going on. "What was I doing?"
"Screaming, wincing, twitching. You name it. You called all our names out." Nya said. "You really don't remember?"
"No. But if I remember it at all I'll be sure to tell you." I said, giving a soft smile. Nightmare rested his head on the mattress while I kept my hand on his head, gently stroking the area to help calm him down. From what I understand, as me and his connection grows, our emotions do to. He can sense when I'm anxious and I can sense when he is, and the emotions feed off of each other. So he was probably feeling the stress, sadness, anger, and every feeling I was feeling while in whatever they was.

"Let me get you a water." Nova said. I gave her another smile as I turned to my nightstand. It was only 4 a.m, finally Wednesday. Which also meant two days before the Ball on Friday. And here comes my anxiety again.
"Here, you should probably shower too. You kinda sweat a alot." Nova said. I took the bottle of water, giving her a playful smile.
A knock on the door got all of our attention as we gave each other worried looks. The Dragon and extra human being couldn't be seen.
"What do we do?" Nya whispered.
"Guys, let me in." It was Lloyd. But I also felt the presence of Moonlight. I guess I was getting stronger, or maybe it was the choice to wear the Necklace of Wings all the time now.
"Its okay, you can let him in." I said. Nya nodded and walked over to the door. I sat up and tried my best to look presentable. I probably didn't. Nya opened the door and Lloyd came rushing in with Moonlight behind him. He kneeled on the ground next to my bed, where Nya was on my right.
"Are you okay?" He asked. I furrowed my brows at him.
"Yeah, I'm good. How did you know?"
"Moonlight was going crazy. She woke me up and was making a ton of noise trying to open my door." He said. "She still has a bond with you and Nightmare so I assumed something was wrong."
"Yeah, Y/N was having a nightmare. She was crying, screaming, twitching, calling out our names, and wouldn't wake up." Nova said. Lloyd gave me an alarmed look. "She can't remember now, but it was definitely not a fun experience."
"A nightmare?"
"I don't know what it was. But obviously it wasn't good." I shrugged.
"Y/N, dreams and nightmares shouldn't get shrugged off. It could mean something, especially right now." Lloyd said. I frowned at him, because I knew he was right. That thing meant something. I don't know what parts were real or what weren't, but I knew it in my gut something was wrong. Nova and Nya seemed to belive my lie, but Lloyd was skeptical.
"I know. If I remember what happened I'll tell you all." I said. Nya let out a yawn and stretched.
"Okay, I'm going to try and get some sleep before we have early morning stuff. You were having that nightmare for over an hour, it just didn't escalate until the last like, 15 minutes." She said, sitting down in her bed.
"I should head back to my room too." Nova said, giving me a worries frown.
"Okay, I don't think I can sleep after that. I'll probably just lay here or go for a walk." I said.
"I'll go with you. I'm now up too." Lloyd said.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to cause all this commotion." I frowned.
"No need to apologize. You obviously didn't ask for a nightmare. Better make the best of it. We can go walk by the river at the back of the Castle by the gardens." He said, standing up.
"Okay, let me get changed first. And rinse off the sweat from that commotion." I said. He nodded and sat down at the desk while Nya laid down and Nova poofed to go back to her room. I had assumed Nya got her once she realized what was happening with me.
I grabbed a long, flowy, long sleeve, off the shoulder, dress from my closet. After last week with KoKo, she had told me I should start wearing dresses more often and gave me some she had from my mom. I didn't mind too much, dresses didn't really bother me. But, I still liked my pants as well. But I knew with the Ball being in 2 days I would probably be busy with Royal stuff today, so I would rather be prepared and not change later I was totally not being lazy.
I quickly showered, just washing my body and face. Once I got out I dried off and wrapped my towel around my body. I did my skin care routine, making sure to add my sunscreen because I did not want skin issues or a sun burn right before this event. I didnt do my makeup like a normally did, because I was sure someone was touching my face today. Probably someone doing a trial run on me. I changed into the dress and left my hair down naturally, but I did do my morning hair routine. When I left the bathroom I went into the closet again and just got a pair of plain white flats with a small heel, it was apart of the uniform but I wasn't really doing any more servant duties so I just use them for these days.
"Ready?" Lloyd whispered, trying not to wake Nya. I smiled and nodded, following him out the door with the two Dragons.
"So, where are we going? I've never seen a river behind the Castle, I though we were on a cliff that leads to the ocean?" I asked.
"Correct. I guess I should show you this small gem I found." He said, grabbing my hand and intertwined our fingers and started pulling me a little quicker. I tried my best to hold the blush that crept onto my face, but I couldn't help it. He took me through a back way of the Castle, completely out of the boundaries. Past the back gate and everything that was kept behind the Castle, and he lead me down the right side of the cliff. He was getting a little close to the edge which worried me, not that I thought he would throw me off. But, if we were to slip or the ground beneath us were to collapse and send us down, we had the Dragons.
"Down here." He said, starting to climb down a bunch of rocks.
"Absolutely not." I grumbled. "I am not climbing down that. You do realize we could have gotten of the back of the Dragons and flew down this whole time right?"
"What's the fun in that, last I checked you liked a little adventure." He teased.
"Lloyd, you never said we were hiking. Otherwise I wouldn't gave worn this." I whined, taking his hand as he helped me scale the rocks all the way down the huge cliff.
"It's not that bad of a hike. Besides, you look good as always. No need to change."
"You definitely have a fetish for dresses." I mumbled.
"Y/N!"
"What? Am I wrong?"
"I don't know what I'm going to do with you. I don't have any kind of attraction to the specific piece of clothing you wear. However, anything you wear - or don't wear - you always look good in. Today you happen to be wearing a dress." He responded. I ignored the comment that was obvious.
"Yes, because of you I now have millions of appointments about Friday. Not to mention I'm being treated like Royalty and expected to dress the part too."
"You agreed to be my date. And you are Royalty. The two reptiles behind us prove that." He said.
"Yeah, but I'm not considered Royalty on this island. We haven't even confirmed why I'm suddenly having this change." I pointed out.
"Well, that will be settled at the Ball. For now people are probably thinking it's because you're my date and think we are a thing." He said, giving me and amused look. I gave him a slight glare and he laughed in response. He got the the ground before me, but before I could jump down he grabbed me by my waist and gently set me down.
"Thank you." I said politely. "Now that we are on the beach, I'm slightly confused about the whole river thing. And the gardens?"
"I said gardens because it is technically a garden itself. But this has been my secret place for a while, so I often say things to throw people off so they don't find it." He said. I looked up at him with a soft smile, nothing but the moonlight to give us light - and I wasnt talking about the Dragon. Her name made sense though.
We continued to walk along the beach under the cliff, I had been keeping an eye out on the rocks above absolutely terrified one would fall and bonk me on the head. I had taken my shoes off and I was holding on side of my dress up so I didn't step on it or get the bottom of it dirty, because of the fact that I had places to be after this. I probably could have gone back to sleep, I was tired, but I truthfully just didn't want to close my eyes again. That image was engraved in my brain, I was scared if I closed my eyes again I would fall into that trap.
I knew Lloyd was right, it was important what I saw. And I much as I wanted to forget it, I knew I shouldn't and I couldn't. Because while it will keep me up, I will replay it in my head and find a way to stop it. Somewhere in that vision, dream, or nightmare was a clue on what I could do to stop it. Master Wu was right too, me and Nightmare needed to bond more. We were strong now, but we aren't strong enough yet. Not for what is to come, not by a long shot.
"Here, this cave is the entrance." Lloyd said, knocking me out of my thoughts. I looked at him, then looked at the dark cave in front of me.
"See, every time you get me alone to take me somewhere I end up in a position of what looks like death." Lloyd let out an annoyed sigh at my words.
"I did that once and I told you I didn't know my Uncle Wu was going to do that. And I apologized. I don't know what else you want from me." He complained.
"Oh, I can think of a few things." I smirked. He gave me a shocked look as his eyes went wide as he caught on to my jokes. Part of the pay back for last week. "But unfortunately for you, I don't need that image carved into my eyes."
"Oh, I'll get on my knees for you." He smirked back. Ah, here we go again. I should have learned by now that Lloyd is not the innocent bean he seemed to be.
"You don't deserve that view yet." I snipped. "Besides, you've already proven you'd be happy to do that." I said, walking over to the cave. I heard Lloyd laugh behind me followed by his foot steps.
"I definitely don't deserve that view yet." He said, coming up from behind me. "But over time I'll get that view, and you'll get the same of me."
"In your dream, Garmadon."
"Didn't we just have this conversation? Dreams are a sign. Alas, a guy can only dream right? A dream a pretty girl will fall for him." He said with a high pitched sigh following.
"You're such a dork." I laughed watching him turn to me and he put his hand on his fore head as he leaned back being over dramatic about the 'fall for him' comment.
"Yes, a dork. However, you said yes to this dork. Now you have to stand in front of the whole Kingdom and other Kingdoms as well to be my date." He sing songed. "Y/N Fury Garmadon has a nice ring to it." I cringed at the use of my middle name.
"Sometimes I forget that that's my middle name."
"I think it's cute, you match your main Dragons. Night Fury and a Light Fury." He shrugged. He turned back around when we got to the entrance of the cave. He created green fire in his hand and lit a torch that was on the ground. Nightmare then let out a sound ring, we figured out he can use echo location after he got lost in the Castle and a giant purple ring surrounded the room with a small whistle that followed it. We started walking as I stayed close to Lloyd, the darkness of the cave was not a great start - not to mention it was still extremely dark out and the sun wouldn't rise for about another 45 to 30 minutes. "You didn't respond to the other part of your name."
"I don't know what you're talking about." I scoffed. "My name is Y/N L/N."
"Currently Y/N Fury L/N, soon to be Y/N Fury Garmadon." He said.
"Lloyd, you can't wife me if you haven't taken me ok a proper date. You're skipping a lot of steps there buddy."
"That's okay." He said. "I'm fast paced anyway."
"I'm going to ignore that." I said. "Anyway, Lloyd. You're doing it again. We are in a very dark cave that we have been walking in and you have yet to prove this isn't my death."
"Relax. If I was going to kill you, you'd already be dead."

Nameless Hypocrite
"Bastard, surrender yourself!" "You think you can escape our encirclement?!" "An omnicidal fiend like you can only atone in death!" Despite his precarious situation, a young man ignored the union's provocations. His violet robe was in tatters, showing the incredible number of attacks he received, yet there was no sign of injury. Noticing the light smile tugging at his lips, the pursuing heroes warily watched him, cautious of a final attack. It was only by working together that they could corner a monster like him. An arrow pierced the air, beelining towards the young man. A malicious gleam revealed itself in his eyes; he unsheathed his sword, a long, curved blade, and deflected the projectile, spiking it into the ground. The archer's eyes widened before being split in two. He died suddenly and indignantly. The group backed away; their former confidence diminished greatly by the invisible counter. It was then that the young man sighed, his voice full of lament and self-pity. "Being a saint truly is difficult, even the world cannot understand my righteous actions." The expressions of the surrounding heroes turned ugly. Such blatant hypocrisy! Yes, the protagonist is a villain. We don't do morals here. New chaps when I write them

8 247Lost Things
"In this disordered continent, where everyone seeks to be the heroes of their own tales, there are still some rooms for smaller stories to breathe." "Past, present, and future—keep your eyes open, and see where they lead you to." This story follows three housemates’ lives: Carson Calding, Virgil Barion, and John Salore—onto their adventures of finding Carson’s past, Virgil’s present, and John’s future. Despite their clashing backgrounds and circumstances that forced them together, they’re definitely going to find the things they had lost, for sure. Each entire chapter will be updated biweekly. There'll be three smaller parts per each chapter. Note that this story was written to be an interactive one, with polls at the end of each parts deciding on what happens next. Though, the polls for this story won't be available on Royal Road updates. (I also upload this in Arcane Odyssey forum, and it's currently the only place where I open the polls and use the poll results from.)
8 255Way of the World
In a world of martial arts and magic, where the strong do as they please, a young swordsman seeks revenge for his school's destruction and mentor's death, while trying to stay true to his own values. Arround him, the era shifts as immense powers struggle and scheme for the world's future. Join our protagonist as he travels through exotic lands, meets strange and funny creatures and learns to remain human amongst the carnage. Author's note: This is the first story I'm writting in a coherent manner (I have written a lot of DnD background stories in the past), so bear with me if I make boring or overdescriptive bits: I'll regularly come back to rewrite whichever parts feel unpolished, especially grammatical errors. I would also appreciate any corrections or suggestions.
