Y/N's P.O.V

I sighed at my H/L H/C hair blew in the wind from the small open window I was gazing out of. Below me, in the main court yard, the current class of Knights trained. Led by Turner, former Master of Speed, and Ray, the former Master of Fire. Turner was really the one who trained them, Ray watched and critiqued anyone out of place. Ray was a master with swords. His genetics carried heavily onto his son, Kai - the current Master of Fire.

The Knights were special. They either had to be excellent fighters or Elemental Masters. However, all the Elemental Masters were both. Kai was the cocky one, but extremely nice when he warms up to you. His friends consisted of Jay, Master of Lightning. Cole, Master of Earth. Zane, Master of Ice. And last, but most certainly not least, Prince Lloyd, Master of Energy and the carrier to all their powers. The main powers, and the most powerful. Then there was Nya, Kai's sister and my best friend. She was also the Master of Water.

Women weren't allowed to be Knights, Elemental Master or not. Considering it was so uncommon for a women to get the heredity gene for an Elemental, it was outspoken. Nya was a servant, like me, much to her whining. She was an excellent fighter, but rules are rules. For now. Since her brother is best friends with the Prince, so was she. And he had apparently promised to change that rule. However, I stayed in the side lines and refused to go close to the Prince. Nya tried to get me to hang out with them, but no such luck with my stubborn attitude. She eventually gave up.

You see, I was a special case. I knew about my birth mom. And Kai and Nya's parents being good friends with my mom and helping me to safety off the island. And pretty much my idiot dad. So, I've been trained. Dispite the law, I knew how to do everything the Knights knew how to do. Ray and Maya had trained me discretely. Growing up with the Smith's had its pros and cons. We were inseparable before Kai got his powers and became a Knight. However, I was never allowed to tell anyone of my training.

I frowned as I saw Chen, who was not at Elemental Master, laugh at Kai's friends. I knew all of them, they were kinda my friends to, not much, but we still knew of each other.

Side note, just because Lloyd is a Prince doesnt mean hes loved. In fact, alot of people dont really like the Royal Family. Lloyd's dad pulled a my dad years ago, but the Elemental Masters were able to get him away before two much permanent harm was caused. So Lloyd is teased, however it never gets physical, due to his title. But a good amount of people like him and are nice. Most girls just stare at him for his looks, and title. But me, he intrigues me. His fighting skills are magnificent. But, he was trained by Master Wu, his uncle and the first Spinjitzu Masters son. Lloyd had very powerful blood in him thanks to his dads side, hence the teasing.

But he was always flawless on the battle field. Unlike others who had minor slip ups or no honor. I heard Turner yell at Chen, who was also Mr. Popular at the school. I glared at Chen through the window. As I looked at the others, I caught Kai's eye. The brunette smirked and waved at me. Catching the attention of the others.

Kai and Nya both knew about my curiosity and love for watching the Knights train. They both encouraged me to train with them, I declined for obvious reasons. But it was fun to watch Kai train Nya behind everyone's back.

I waved back at the group. I saw Prince Lloyd approach the group, confused until he looked up to where the others were looking and waving. We made eye contact for a brief moment before I quickly went inside. I flushed and sighed. I knew I wouldnt be good enough for anyone down there.

I looked down at my servant clothes. Black pencil skirt that went just past my knees, with a light green, button up top tucked in. Black flats that had a buckle around my ankle and a slight heel protected my feet. And an apron. Fancy. My hair was pulled back into a ponytail, baby hairs attacking my face due to how much I've been running around. Doing chores and all that jazz.

I heard someone snicker, knowing who it was I rolled my eyes and glared at Nya. She just laughed and fixed my hair. Using her powers to have to water keep my hair tame.

"I'm hungry!" I heard a shout. I stuck my tray of food on the window still. I stuck my head out the window. I knew who said it, and their he was, a pouting Kai.

"Well, me and Nya are about to come down to serve you. Can you wait?" I shouted back.

"No! I'm hungry now!" Kai whinned. He does this on purpose. He knows it gets on my nerves. Sighing I took an apple in my hand and gave him I questioning look. He eagerly nodded, a sign he really wanted the apple. I smirked and chucked it down at him. I hit him straight in the face, and with a thud, he fell to the ground holding the spot where I got him. Nya stuck her head out above mine, looking at her brothers misery. She laughed and hive-fived me. We heard the head servant call our names, yelling asking where we were. Quickly ducking our heads back in and rushing downstairs with the food, he quickly pushed us out to the training grounds.

"You do realize Prince Lloyd was starring at you when Kai was bickering with you, right." Nya said, as we walked closer to the grounds.

"No way. He is so out of my league. I'm probably the last thing that interests him." I said, shaking my head. Nya sighed.

"He asks about you, Kai will mention a childhood story with us while we are all hanging out, and everyone asks about you. He seems so curious about who you are, despite the stories. They all are. You really should hang out with us." Nya said. I laughed.

"Prince Lloyd would never ask about a servant, other than you of course. And using him to try and get me out if my room. Thats low." I said in a teasing manner.

"I'm serious." She said. "Lloyd asks about you."

I shook my head as we entered the training ground in the Courtyard. Each of us carrying two trays of food, we set them down on 4 different tables. Nya joined me as I finished putting down the fourth and final try onto it's small table. No one was to sit while eating. The whole friend group decided to come over, Kai still holding his head. I was thankful the Prince wasnt around, or had left. Either way, I was glad. The last thing I needed was to embarrass myself infront of my friends and the Prince. I didnt mind embarrassing myself in front of Kai and Nya, but the others, were a different story. Especially the Prince.

I grew nervous as the others got closer. I was pretty much the youngest. Nya was 6 months older than me, Kai was about two years older than Nya. And the others were all spread out in the months but not leaving the 19-20 year-old range. I was still 17, almost 18 in a week, while Nya was already 18. And the Prince, he was 2 months older than Nya, so he was already 18 and was almost 19. He still hadn't gotten a Royal Guard. Not that he needed it, but it was required by the Queen that he had someone with him. Which was understandable. Even though our people would only think of hurting him, people beyond our lands despised us because of Garmadon. Who had attacked other Kingdoms after he was tossed from out island.

"That was a good shot there, Y/N." Jay said patting Kai on the back. Kai responded with a groan.

"Reminds me of baseball as a kid." Nya said.

"Family games?" Cole questioned, biting into an apple.

"No, Y/N hitting Kai in the face with something hard." Nya said casually. Jay snorted. Cole let out a loud laugh. Zane shook his head, smiling. I snickered, remembering the day Kai doubted my throwing and aim abilities.

"Hey guys." I paled. The rest of the group turned to the side, where Prince Lloyd stood. His chest armour gone and in his green, v-neck muscle tee. Nya looked at me and elbowed me in the chest. I elbowed her back, just to get even. This being our best friend/sisterly way of saying 'shut up' or 'oooooo, a boy'.

"Hey Lloyd." Kai said, taking his hand off the spot the apple hit him.

"Ouch. What hit you in the head?" Lloyd questioned. No no no. Nobody say me. I dont think he saw me, please don't put the attention to me.

"Y/N threw an apple at me from the stair tower." Kai said, picking up the block of ice Zane created for him, and put it on his face. The Prince looked in my direction. I smiled at him nervously, cursing at myself.

"Well, you must be the famous Y/N. The shy one." He said. My smile faltered. Well, until Kai opened his mouth.

"She is not shy. Shes a forward, sarcastic bitch." Kai said, groaning as the ice melted. I'm sure everyone's eyes widened, minus Nya who snorted a 'your dead' before moving to the opposite side of me, next to Lloyd. My brows furrowed in anger, as my head slowly turned towards my brother figure.

"Exuse me, but if I'm a sarcastic bitch, that makes you a hot-headed sarcastic little shit." I said crossing my arms glaring at him.

"Oh, yeah. Shes got a temper too. Yay." Kai said smugly. Nya sighed, used to us pretty much cursing each other out. Even though we weren't blood related, the two of us faught like siblings.

"4."

"Why is she counting down?" Jay asked.

"3." Kais eyes went wide.

"Shes gonna kill me." He said taking off running.

"2. 1." I said quickly and hauled ass towards Kai. He screamed as he saw me catching up.

We were to busy chasing each other, well I was chasing he was running away, to notice that everyone had left on their break. And Ray watching from the stands with an amusing look. Or the Prince watching me with a curious look.

"Get back here and take it like a man, Smith." I shouted. He just screamed again. I took a short cut through the hall way of the stands. He head occasionally peaking out of the window, not that Kai noticed. I saw him look behind himself, to see where I was. I took this opportunity to do what any normal sibling would do while death chasing the other.

I tackled him.

Shoulder and all.

I had quickly turned in front of him, running at full speed. Him being taller than me gave me an advantage. I ducked and forcefully ran my shoulder into his gut. I had sent us flying to the ground. I was prepared, and caught myself by doing a front hand spring. He was not prepared which was the point, landing on the ground with a loud thud, followed by a groan. I walked over to him, sitting on his chest so he couldnt get up.

"Oh my Ninjago, you way alot. I think you need to lay off the sweets." Kai grunted, wheezing for air.

"Hey! You're twice my weight and I dont eat nearly as much junk food as you do!" I defended.

"Yes you do!"

"No! You eat so many bags of spicy chips it's no wonder you had to start paying for them on you own." I said getting up and crossing my arms.

"Uh. Is this normal?" I heard Cole ask. That's when realization dawned on me. Oh my god I just did that in front of the PRINCE!

"Very. Be glad you didnt share a home with me." Nya sighed.

"What are you talking about. You both have tackled me before." Kai exclaimed.

"You're not that hard to pin down." I said.

"What do you mean, 'not that hard'!"

"Kai. I've been pinning you down since you were eight." I said. He was about to argue, before I squeased he pressure point on his shoulder, making him fall limp on the ground immediately. I grabbed his legs and dragged him back to his friends.

"Have fun. I have to get back to work. The head servant is going to kill me." I said. Grabbing Nya, I took off before anyone could say anything. Once we were out of ear shot, Nya bursted out laughing.

"It not funny!" I whinned.

"Its so is! You did that in front of Lloyd!" She laughed. I could feel the heat rise to my cheeks and a lump form in my throat. Nya took notice and tried to cheer me up.

"Its not a bad thing! Y/N, I know Lloyd and he'll love you! That didnt make him judge you I promise." She assured. But it wasnt enough for me.

"I'm just gonna go. I have to bring the horses in before it gets dark." I mumbled before I quickly walked away.

"Stupid. Stupid. Stupid." I scolded myself as I brought in the last horse to his stall. "He's a Prince, he has honor to everyone and you just cursed out your brother."

I started my walk to me and Nya's room. Because servants are required to sleep on grounds, two share a room with a bathroom. I face palmed and groaned. I'm such a loser.

"Y/N!" I heard a voice yell. I turned around, only to be about 2 feet away from the Prince himself. My breath hinched at his closeness, and the fact that hes even more beautiful up close then across the courtyard.

"P-Prince Lloyd! Do you need something? Should I go get you what you need?" I asked.

"No, I dont need anything but thank you." He smiled.

"Then why did you call me. I'm not really allowed to talk with you." I said shyly. I mentally face palmed.

"If anything happens I can deal with my mom. I just wanted to talk about today." He said. I became panicked and tried to explain myself.

"I'm so sorry, Prince. That wasnt honorable of me for cursing or tackling Kai. I should have known better and not done it. If you would like to disavow me out of the Castle I totally-" I was cut off when he laughed and put his hand on my arm. I looked at his hand, back to him, back to his hand, then finally stayed looking into his emerald orbs.

"I was going to complement you. I've never seen someone scare Kai, or be able to pin him, let alone tackle the oaf." He said. I laughed lightly when he called Kai an oaf. "I've also heard about how you are extremely curious about our training. I came to invite you and Nya to watch us train tomorrow."

"Really?" I stammered.

"Of course. We are both apart of the same friend group, although Kai is your brother and Ray is your dad, its perfectly fine to watch Kai and us train." Lloyd said. Oh. He doesnt know.

"Kai and Nya arent by biological siblings. I was taken in by Maya when I was a few months old. After my dad-" I stopped talking remembering what Maya said he did. I looked down, trying not to look at him in the face.

"He pulled a Lord Garmadon." Lloyd said. I looked up to him. He had a sad and empathetic smile on his face.

"Yeah. I dont know where he is, not that I want to know. Maya said the last thing she heard before she got away safely with me, were my moms screams. I don't know if shes alive, its highly unlikely, but I've learned to move past it." I said. I smiled sadly at him.

"Looks like we are in the same boat." I shook my head at that. He gave me a questioning look.

"You got your mom. Some of the most amazing friends. You at least know your dad is alive. Me, I dont know where my parents are, if they're alive. I am not as close to everyone as you. And I'm just a servant." I said. You also got to keep your Kingdom. Mine is in ruins.

"Being me isnt always as great as it seems. Chen, he knows where it hurts."

"But you always stand back up. I would never be able to push past him. Whether or not you feel the emotional pain later doesnt matter, you continue on with a smile." I said. He looked shocked. Oh my god I've been talking like this with the Prince. ABORT MISSION!

"Sorry. I should go." I said quietly, trying to move past him.

"Wait!" I turned around to see him, and I felt him grab my hand.

"I-" We both just stood there. Staring at each other. I dont know if I was seeing things or not, but I swear he was slowly moving closer. Me being me, chickened out. I cleared my throat.

"I'm sorry, Prince Lloyd. But I have to go. I'll see you tomorrow." I smiled before heading towards my room.

"You did what?!" Nya exclaimed. I had immediately told her what happened, by girl code I had to.

"Yeah. But I dont think he was gonna kiss me." I said. Nya groaned.

"Y/N! Lloyd is so intrigued by you! Cole told me he was starring at you the whole time at the training grounds!" Nya said.

"Of course he was starring! I was making a total fool of myself!" Nya groaned at my response.

"I love you girl, but you are so obvious to the guys that are obviously looking at you." She said. I blushed immediately.

"People dont look at me!" I defended.

"You know what! Come with me. I'm going to use my own title as Lloyd's friend to get you to see something." Nya said, pulling me out of the room. I grumbled at her for pulling me off my bed. We got into a room where, lo and behold, the Prince was. I started squirming, Nya just pushed me being a pillar and told me to be quite while I listen to their conversation. I gave her a disapproving look before she ran off, talking to Lloyd. I didnt actually listen. Well, until Nya screamed.

"You like her?!"

"Well, she definitely spikes my interest. But I want to get to know her before I see her as a significant other." Lloyd said. Nya just fangirled more. Lloyd hushed her. I smiled, kind of happy, and started walking back to my room. But a maid stopped me, telling me to run this to Prince Lloyd, saying it was his laundry and she couldnt. I sighed and headed back to where I was. Nya's back was to me, but the Prince saw me and smiled.

"A maid asked me to give this to you. It's your laundry." I said handing it to him.

"Oooooo. If your underwear in there?" Nya teased. Lloyd paled.

"No, Nya. Now go." I said pushing her in the way of our room. I turned to the Prince and smiled.

"Your underwear is in there. But I know Nya and her blackmail. Good night, Prince." I said winking and turning to where Nya was.

"Good night, Y/N."
